Chapter 9 Gifts/New Orders.

Naruto made his way towards this jewelry store Sasuke spoke of,for something a drunk Sasuke swore up and down Naruto would like and a drunk Naruto believed him. So he was on his way to pick it up,it'd been five days and it should be ready. As he jumped to the final rooftop towards his goal he remembered not getting a word of what he was supposed to be picking up. A drunk Sasuke was suprisingly tight lipped about the item. What ever it was. Naruto upon seeing the shop 'Hi no Hoseki' across the street from the roof he stood on hopped down and headed to the door. He sincerely hoped Sasuke had told them who he was,
so he would'nt recieve any crap from these people. He pulled the slip from his pocket and procceded through the front door. It was a classy looking place in Naruto's opinion but he had little experience in jewelry. So he walked to the counter that a register. A woman walked through the door that was behind the counter. Naruto heard the person,but he was distracted by the necklace's and bracelets. The woman saw Naruto, recognizing him almost immediately. She'd been warned that the fox boy was going to pick up something today,
by Sasuke Uchiha.

Who had said" He's my teammate,treat him with respect. Mess with him and I'll have you balcklisted." His spinning Sharingan did make a impression. The Uchiha had spent a moderate fortune for the items so she would do as resquested her personal feelings aside. Naruto noticed the woman and he gave her a small smile. "I'm here to pick up the item associated with this slip."he politely stated. The woman had expected him to be loud. And shorter. He had the whisker marks and the blonde hair but was not acting in the way her mother had said he would. She looked the younger man in his eye's. He had the look of older Shinobi. She took the slip,nodding. " Yes,you need to have your neck measured." A blonde eyebrow cocked itself on his forehead. "So the necklace will fit properly."

He made an 'oh' sound and took off his flak vest. She brought the tape forward and wrapped it around his neck. He had a medium neck size. What caught her eye was the back muscles.
The boy felt like corded steel. She shook her head,he had to be what thirteen? That would be a crime. He looked like a sixteen year old though. She went to the back room to make sure the silver weaved cord was the proper length. The Uchiha had been spot on. She brought the requested item from the back.

Naruto saw the Magatama the legnth of his thumb. Maybe two inches, the middle has a Sapphire. The gem associated with the element of wind. The lady presented it to him, he took it as carefully as he could manage without looking wierd. He slid it over his blonde locks. Admiring the Obsidian stone,the sapphire, made a very alluring contrast to him.A seven was etched in silver in the body of the was a gorgeuos piece, if Naruto knew anything about jewelry which he did not. Ah. He'd have to get the team something,this would not do at all. The Magatama was beautiful. He would wear every day.

He thanked the woman and turned to leave, thanking whatever gods were watching that she hadn't made a big deal of him being there. He was on the rooftops once more before she realized he'd left. He was putting new tile in his kitchen today and he'd taken a break to go get the necklace. "I should do something for Team Seven." he spoke aloud as he opened his door. "What do you think it should be boss?" A Kage Bushin asked.
Naruto shrugged he had no idea. But Naruto Uzumaki was creative if anything.

Hiro Uzumaki and Anko Mitarashi could be seen walking down the road Naruto had recently been on."Sasuke bought the whole team something Anko. He said,while drinking mind you,that Sakura had the idea for the ink and that he would not be out done so he'd gone ahead and purchased us all a gift." Hiro yawned out,this woman always seemed to make him tired. Ever since she'd heard he was training Team Seven alongside Kakashi, ahe started to follow him whenever he was in public. A cold breeze made it's way by,reminding the two winter was on its way. It also reminded them of the coming conflict, Iwa hadn't responded to the Hokage's request of a sitdown to discuss what had happend and to negotiate a more permanent type of cease-fire. Onoki had practically spat in Hiruzens face with his silence in this matter. To say that the Hokage was displeased by this would be a massive understatement. So now Hiruzen would be ordering a hammer-blow strike against Iwa's border outposts. A resounding statement saying,
'Try and find out'.

Hiro saw the shop and walked towards it. Anko being the observant person she was asked" Is this where you're student bought the gift? Let's hope it's not something weird." She stated with mirth.
"Please,it's 's single minded not stupid."Hiro killed that line of thought. Sasuke was a goal oriented young man, but he was'nt weird. Hiro upon seeing the stores clerk handed her the slip given by Sasuke. She looked at it, " I need to measure your neck,Sir." she said polietly enough.
Hiro removed his flak vest. Anko watched the woman wrap the measuring tape around Hiro's neck. "The young Uchiha was spot on again."The woman remarked. She went to the back recieving Hiro's gift.
Hiro took one look at the Magatama and had to stop himself from whistling. Anko though had no such reservations. " Damn you sure he ain't crushing on you?" She jested. " Then he's attracted to everyone on the team. Sasuke bought one for every member of the team. " He replied not taking his eyes of the Magatama. Pure Obsidian, a polished Topaz in the middle. A Seven etched in silver in the body of the Magatama. He put it on immediately. He knew Naruto was probably working on something for the team. He and Kakashi had a collaboration gift they'd been working on for a while. Ever since Sakura's idea to mark themselves forever with their first Bingo Book titles. It was sure to blow the Ge-Chunins minds.

Kakashi Hatake was reading while walking as was his way. But today 'Icha Icha' was no where to be seen. Obito's journal was in front of his face. He was lost in the words and emotions of his long fallen friend. He navigated the streets with praticed ease, he was an elite Jounin after all. It wouldn't do for him to appear as if he was falling apart. It was an emotional roller coaster but he had been there with Obito when he'd left the mortal coil. Obito had called him brother. Slowly but surely Team Seven was filling the void that had taken residence in Kakashi's soul for decades. It was a wonderful feeling, once again being apart of a family. To be a solitary individual,not by choice, sure Kakashi would never be the life of the party but he still liked going.
He put the journal away as he approached the store. Walking in he saw a man behind the counter. He wordlessly handed the man the slip of ownership. The man nodded and went into the back. He returned with the Magatama hanging from it's silver woven cord. An Obsidian body with a Fulgrite crystal which was a piece of Amythest that had been struck by lightning. The number seven had been etched out then filled with silver. It seemed the Uchiha heir had a very capable eye for gems too. He was glad his and Hiro's gift was coming along nicely. He placed the neckalce around his throat and let it hang in between his flak vest and shirt. Well time to go home,he had some reading to do.

Sakura was having a good day, Ino Yamanaka had decided it was a good day to catch up. Then she saw Sakura's flak vest and she was suprised to say the least. "When did you get promoted? You weren't even at the Chunin Exams!"
the blonde Yamanaka exclaimed. "The Hokage saw that my team was ready for promotion. He promoted all three of us.
For our actions during Iwa's would be attack." Sakura explained non-plussed. One could say Sakura was being smug. "Your whole team? Even Naruto? What did he do?"Ino inquired. After that day that Naruto had embarassed her,She'd taken it upon herself to learn all she could about her fellow blonde."Killed over forty Iwa-nin by himself. Was able to help us fight our way back to the village. Without him me and Sasuke would've died months ago." Ino nodded. Her investagation had turned up somethings that had shocked her. Reading the Bingo Book shocked the hell out of her for sure. Asuma had told her that without Naruto the enemy ninja might have made it inside the village. That would've been really,really bad.

Sakura had asked Ino to walk with her to the shop Sasuke had told the team about . The blonde had gushed at Sakura about the gift of jewelry from "Sasuke-kun" and Sakura stated"He bought the entire team something. Raved about it when he took us out to eat as well. Though he was drinking then..." Sakura would've continued but Ino interupted her "He took the entire team out, Senseis included? Where?" Sakura debated whether to tell Ino the truth or not,so she decided to tell a half truth.
" An Akamichi owned place. I got drunk trying to out drink Naruto. I don't remeber the name of it. By the way Naruto can drink like a fish." Sakura lied smoothly. The lie,not remebering, Naruto could out drink her. Her Sensei though not so much. She held the door to the shop open for a flabbergasted Ino. "You guys drink, like alcohol? Why?" She asked flumoxed. "When you get your first kills... trust me, sometimes you need to take the edge outta life alittle. She handed the man behind the display case the slip of ownership. He nodded and turned around crisply opening the door in a smooth motion. Sakura didn't wait long, the man brought her gift from Sasuke to her hand. "Osidian body,Ruby placed very carefully in the middle. The etching I did personally. Smelted the silver that now fills the etching myself as well. I would like to meet the young man who orderd these. He has impeccable taste." the man spoke. " I'll pass the word along. Thank you sir." Sakura stated thankfull. Ino had been struck speechless.

An Anbu appeared next to Sakura. " Chunin Haruno, report along with Team Seven to the Hokage. No later than twenty minutes from now." Neko spoke monotone. "Hai-Hai." Sakura agreed thankfull for the excuse to get away from Ino, who was speechless now but not for long." Well Ino, Duty calls."

Sakura knocked on the door to the Hokage's office. "Enter" came the order. She opened and closed the door in one smooth motion. Her team was already assembled in the Hokage's office. They were about to recieve thier first mission as Chunin.
"Team Seven, You are going to be apart of the assault on the main outpost Iwa has next to Hi no Kuni. Your orders are as follows. Raze it to the ground. Kill all active any surrender they are to be put in a prisoner scroll. You are one of twelve teams assigned this task. Destroy the buildings. Leave nothing standing. Uzumaki Naruto. You are hereby activted as our Jinchuriki. You may use your Biju's chakra as you see fit. Naruto you will be staying with Team Seven.
Let me be perfectly clear. Leave nothing Standing. Dismissed.
