Chapter 13.

Roar Kurama!

" Sensei! Han is here!" those words made Kakashi's blood run like northern ice. Frigid. His students while excellent for their age were not ready for the walking disaster that was the Five-Tails Jinchuriki. He also was not in the best shape after weeks of being on mission with little to no, real rest. Hiro, he knew wasn't fairing much better. Guy for the first time cursed in front of his squad. "Fuck." Plain and simple and summed up Kakashi's and Hiro's thoughts on the situation very well.

Naruto felt a tug on his mind. He knew Kurama wanted to talk so he let it happen. "Naruto, Kyokou is not someone you are ready to face in a real battle yet. I have an idea." Here Kurama paused. Naruto knew that he was gonna like this idea as much as he liked eating dirt during training. Not at all, but he nodded giving the towering Fox the go ahead anyway. " I'm gonna need you to loosen, not release, the seal for this to work." Naruto looked at Kurama. "What exactly are you thinking Kurama?" he asked with slight trepidation. "I am going to flood your chakra coils with as much chakra as your body can physically contain. This will hurt…A lot. But it should be enough to give Kyokuo pause. One side effect is that after you release the chakra you're going to be next to useless for atleast forty-eight hours. But you should be able to get in a massive hit on this Han." Kurama finished. "By how much am I loosening the seal? Also anything you could do to make my useless time smaller would be nice." Naruto stated glumly. "See the sub-matrix feeding the second tetragram of the seal? Alter it to say Flow instead of Restrict. That should be enough. After we get back in Konoha you will put the seal back the way it was. So that it will not impact your training with my chakra." Kurama elaborated and Naruto felt slightly better about this plan. "All right lets do this." Naruto stated while reaching for the seal focusing his chakra…

On the outside Kakashi noticed that Naruto had gone completely still and that his face was stuck in a look of resigned acceptance. Then he watched with fascination as his Sharingan eye saw the Kyuubi's chakra explode outward from the seal in an amount he'd never seen nor felt since the fateful day of the blonde's birth. Naruto jumped towards Han, Who had just made his appearance before them.

Kurama was right it hurt. Every neuron on Naruto's body was on fire with sheer pain. He felt fire in his limbs. But through the agony he felt power. Unadulterated Might. He leapt at their foe as he appeared before them. Naruto Roared as he had the day of the would-be invasion. Six Tails swishing and swaying lazily behind him. Han paused, a critical error. Naruto flashed in front of Han foot already millimeters away from Han's face. Hiro heard and felt the impact. Han was sent away like a bolt of lighting. "That won't keep him down for long. We need to run!" Naruto growled out, Voice several octaves deeper than usual. Sakura and Sasuke felt the wind knocked out of them as their blonde teammate grabbed them and ran. Sasuke's Sharingan could barely keep track of their surroundings as Naruto blitzed towards Konoha. Hiro and Kakashi had removed their respective seals long ago. Kakashi had taken a soldier pill and Hiro removed a seal on his right arm that stored chakra. Guy entered the fourth gate and the three Jounin grabbed one Genin each from Team Nine and took off after Konoha's Jinchuriki.

The three Jounin felt the chakra of the Five-Tails and knew that running had been the right call. Fighting Han in their current state would be an awful idea. Hiro knew they'd eventually win but then they would be utterly spent. And it would most likely cost them the Genin of Team Nine. Not a price he was willing to pay. If they'd been fresh he was sure the three Jounin plus Naruto would've killed Han. But even then it would be risky. 'Damnit it all! Me and Kakashi need to step up our training and the Teams training by a lot.' Hiro fumed mentally. He did not like running, but he liked shitty odds even less. The Konoha ninja slowly felt their enemy's chakra dwindle as it got farther away.

Naruto's legs and arms were feeling like molten lead, but he kept going. He knew they were in Hi no Kuni but that mattered little. He wanted to be in the village. Yesterday. "Naruto Stop!" Kakashi's voice called out. Naruto brought himself to a stop, slowly. "Yes, Kakashi sensei…." Naruto then fainted and was caught by Sasuke and Sakura. "Well that's inconvenient." Neji stated plainly. Sasuke nodded the Hyuuga might be an ass but he was correct. " We are roughly twenty-five kilometers from the village. There is no need for Naruto to scare the entire village into a panic. I will carry him. We will stop again until we are in the village.

*In Konoha*

"If Onoiki didn't want this fight then he should've responded! We've had no word on if he sanctioned the attack or not. Until I say otherwise we will act as if we are at war with Iwa! I DO NOT CARE IF YOU LIKE IT!" Hiruzen roared at the civilians in the council room. His presence filled the room with lethal intent. "Am I Clear esteemed councilours?" He asked almost daring them to argue the matter further. A single Anbu appeared. "Hokage-Sama, Team Seven and Nine were seen in the village. Uzumaki Naruto is unconscious, and receiving medical aid at the hospital. Kakashi Hatake reported Uzumaki fought Han." Hiruzen felt a coldness grip his heart. "Uzumaki's condition is serious but stable. The Teams have completed the mission given. Hokage-Sama they killed no less than two hundred seventy two Iwa-nin. Hiro Uzumaki has the complete report in your office." The Anbu shimmered away as if made of mist. "This meeting is adjourned until tomorrow. Danzo, Shikaku come with me. This new's is troubling. What could Onoiki tempt Han with? I'd heard they had parted on less than friendly terms." Hiruzen said leaving the meeting chamber and walking briskly towards his office. The short walk was long enough that Hiruzen couldn't help but think. "Didn't we send a message to Teams Seven and Nine stating the mission was canceled due the fact that the platoon was waylaid in Kusa? They completed a mission meant for twelve teams?" Shikaku wondered aloud. "We did. I personally wrote the Orders for them to convene with Team Fifteen in Kusa to attack Iwa's western supply line. Seems it never made it to them." Danzo ground out. He should've sent Torune. The message would've made then.

The three older ninja made it to Hiruzen's office, upon entering they saw Teams Seven and Nine sans Naruto. " Report." Shikaku stated bluntly.

Kakashi filled the Hokage and his entourage in to what his and Guy's teams had been doing for the last month and a half. Danzo felt surprise for the first time in a very long while. The two teams had eliminated a large Iwa out post. With no casualties. He looked at the three Jounin standing in front of him. "I'm impressed. Your teams are very well trained." Danzo stated. Hiruzen was shocked, but recovered well. " You are commended. We had sent a message about the platoon that you were supposed to meet up with being held up in Kusa. You were going to meet up with them and attack the supply lines there instead. We now know the message never made it. The mission will be recorded as low S-rank. You will receive the pay in your respective accounts by tomorrow." Hiruzen stated happily. Sasuke Uchiha stepped forward. "Permission to go see my teammate in the hospital Hokage-Sama?" He asked bowing.

"Chunin Uchiha, Haruno go look in on Chunin Uzumaki for me." The Hokage granted the request with a grin.

"So He accessed Six-Tails? You mentioned he was training with the Kyuubi's chakra. Was this a fluke or results?" Hiruzen asked Hiro and Kakashi. "I think it was a fluke. He didn't seem in control all the way, if you catch my meaning Hokage-Sama." Kakashi stated honestly.

"All of you go home. Rest. Come back tomorrow. Good work, get some sleep." Hiruzen ordered lightly. He'd have the Jounin fill him in after some rest. They all looked like death warmed over.

*Sorry for the wait Ladies and Gents! My new job is going well. I'm getting the hang out it and finding more time to write. To all who have reviewed. Thank you. See ya!*
