The Heroic God Slayer
Chapter 15
Now we get down to the new battle on the horizon. And what it could mean for the world going forward. Especially with the villains and what they will do in the long run. So on with the show.

With the challenges of Vanaheim completed, and a few more skills grown all around, Jonathan created the circle to take the UA group back to Midgard. But not before a somewhat steamy goodbye from Freya. One that Midnight got pulled into as well by the goddess. "WHAT THE-?" "Don't think about it too much. She may be one who stands above most, but if she decides to get flirty… well you've gotta work to keep up." Jonathan said with a smirk.
Meanwhile, Mina and Xeimei quietly took Izuku's hands. Smiling at him before they warped away. Izuku returned this with a smile of his own and looked forward to whatever would come next. Off to the side though, a few were looking at the polygamous group with a bit of envy. Mineta and the other pervs of the hero classes had tissues in their teeth and were pulling down in jealousy at Izuku having two girls at his side.
Meanwhile, Reiko, Momo, and Ochaco each had their own reactions. Ochaco was smiling but had a dark aura behind her. Momo kept peeking over at the trio with envy showing in her eyes. Reiko… well she looked a bit like a yandere with her head twisted to the side and a blank look in her eyes as they all transported away.
When they returned, they were back in ground beta. "Wait a second….. I just thought about this now that we're really out of danger… But didn't a couple of days pass? Like we were in Vanaheim for like four days or so? So shouldn't there be people looking for us?" Mineta questions when they arrive back at UA. Momo and Ida realize he has a point and quickly try to contact their families.
But Jonathan stops them by saying, "time works differently in other realms and mythic dimensions. What's the phrase from Atsumori? 50 years is the life of a human, but that is but an illusion to Geten. Kinda the same principle." Everyone looks at Jonathan with a raised eyebrow. Some look like they want to ask more questions, but they didn't know where to start. Some do check the time on their phones and realize that only about two hours have passed since they were teleported from Midgard. Izuku meanwhile just sighs before saying, "this is the insanity we have to get used to as Campione, isn't it?" Jonathan smirks at the teen God Slayer before giving him a smug "yep" and asking if Midnight wanted to go somewhere for dinner.
The R-rated hero gave the man an exasperated sigh before agreeing to the date. "But nowhere fancy. I'd like to do this somewhere more… simple" Jonathan just raises his hands and agrees with her idea. Izuku meanwhile takes a bit of initiative himself and asks each of the girls if they wanted to do something. "I'd be up for that Izuku….. but one at a time. All three of us could attract some attention." Xeimei says with a smile. She then offers to go second, as she had spent a large amount of time with Izuku before he met Mina.
Mina blushes herself, but then asks if Izuku wanted to go for a movie. "And maybe hit the arcade to do some dance games." "Sure thing Mina. Sounds fun to me." Xeimei though slips over to Ochaco, Momo, and Reiko to talk with them. Suggesting ways that they could try to get closer to Izuku…. "and I could teach you a few things about magic too." Momo and Reiko are especially interested, with the former looking forward to learning ways to change the base items she could create. While the latter was interested in spirit based magics.
Ochaco though wasn't focused on that. Instead, she started questioning more of virus element of quirks and what it could mean for everyone. As well as wondering about other matters involved with Campione and the world of magic. So, she went to the only adult she felt she could really ask about this. "Etcitty-san? Do you have a moment?" "Sure. What's wrong?" Ochaco stayed a bit after classes were let out to talk with the man. Who himself was impressed that the girl was thinking a bit more about what could happen to the world if the greater truth of quirks was revealed to the public. He talks with Ochaco for an hour, to give the girl a better idea on where to go with her aspirations as a hero.
The day after the UA group returned, the villains were having their own issues going forward. In the shady bar in Kamino ward, Tomura Shigaraki was discussing matters with AFO. "We have the members to take on the heroes at UA. But there is a new problem. We haven't heard anything from our spy. And at least two of the men you sent haven't returned." Tomura mentions to the master.
That is when the doctor chimes in and mentions that he has an observation nomu nearby and is checking on them himself. "Let's see….. there are the parents… Enjoying a breakfast in the yard… what is that some sort of charm? Hold on….. going to get a closer look….. A mix of symbols on it. Doing an image search….. wait….. what is going on?! My nomu its stopped transmitting video!" This confuses everyone gathered and they wonder what could be going on with the Aoyama family.
But then a voice new voice comes over the feed from the nomu. "Still an idiotic child eh? Little warning for you brats: that family is under my protection now. And will soon be under the protection of another. And if you thought the torment you suffered through before was bad…. Ha ha ha ha….. you have yet to truly feel pain….. you touch them, I will find you….. and I won't end you, I will make you suffer like you never have before." Then a sickening crack is heard and the nomu was killed.
AFO meanwhile starts to hyperventilate at the thought of the mad cowboy returning. And the threats he knows the man will follow up with. The doctor meanwhile is also nervous about this strange new monster that terrifies the master. Tomura though is just pissed that their inside man was compromised and now they didn't have "their online guide to the dungeon" anymore. "It seems the first is still as bloodthirsty, and yet honorable as I had heard. Worry not. I still intend to aid you in this matter," the voice from before says with a touch of mirth. When the doctor questions how this strange woman intends to aid them.
Though no one can see her yet, a few get the feeling she is smiling. In the doctor's hideout, a strange light fills the room. And suddenly two monsters he would have thought were from myth appear in empty tubes. "This is a minor gift for now. Something to aid in occupying that number 1 as it were and the eldest Campione." The woman then tells the rest when the students and All Might would be away from the main campus. "So, you don't intend to fight with us?" Tomura says while still trying to figure out where the woman was.
"Now who said that? I still want to see what this new king of Japan can do. So when the time comes boy, you will use the feather to bring me there." The woman's voice says with a tone that tells Tomura he must follow what she says. While he is tempted to rail against her, he also respects that she is still aiding him and his allies. Thus, he agrees.
Back with the Campione and their partners, Mina and Izuku have a fun afternoon just playing around and generally just being teenagers. Right down to Izuku embarrassing himself a bit while trying to match Mina on the dance games. "All those skills, and you've got two left feet huh?" "Yeah kinda. I can fly gracefully enough, and I've got acrobatics when I'm tapped into Xbalanque. But those aren't exactly as natural as using Herakles is." Mina thinks for a second and wonders if that had to do with his admiration for All Might.
"I mean….. didn't Master Jonathan say it himself? You're thinking about using your powers like a hero….. but everyone's hero is All Might. Especially the way he fights and leaps around." Izuku's eyes widen a bit as he thinks about that matter a bit more. Nodding in agreement and thanking the pink girl for seeing through his block. Mina just gives him a big smile and tells the young God Slayer it was no problem.
With Jonathan and Midnight, the two are having dinner together at a relatively nice restaurant. Not so fancy as to require black tie or similar, but nice enough that they dress up a bit. Midnight wearing a comfortable blue dress and heels combo, while Jonathan has a white button up shirt with dark blue blazer and black slacks. "This is a bit nicer than what I originally had in mind. But it's not as insane as I thought you might go."
"Oh I had considered the nicest restaurant in the country. But you did say simpler. This seemed about right. Especially that view." Jonathan says while looking out the window. Midnight, or Nemuri as she was right now agreed as they look out on the sun setting over the Sea of Japan. They to enjoyed their dinner out and then a movie before calling it a night. Midnight was again tempted to invite Jonathan up to her apartment, the older man stopped her. Noting, "there's no need to rush right now. We have all the time in the world." Before leaving her with a kiss to head back to his hotel. All in all, a nice set of dates for the two Campione.
The day after the classes returned, Nezu discussed with Jonathan about doing the USJ training. "Yeah it's for the best that we do that. It was one of the reasons I founded all of the hero schools. Not so much to keep the villains in check, but to have better options for rescue and recovery work after disasters. Especially if they were due to gods and the like." "Ah I see. Magic could only go so far in some of these cases?" "Uh more like we wanted to keep the magic world secret as best we could. Genie's out of the bottle now though." This little exchange had a few of the teachers laughing, and Thirteen was happy to have her chance to teach the students more of what she specialized in.
Jonathan then tells the group that he would be coming along as well. "I am still a member of the board. So I think it would be best to see how you do things." Nezu agrees and the plans for the hero classes are set. Aizawa and Kan tell their students the plan, and each have their own reactions. Most being excited at the prospect of doing that type of hero work. Izuku though starts considering more of what he could do with his authorities.
'Herakles Might is great for lifting things, but there might be times where lifting something could cause more damage. And the Pitz authority from Xbalanque is useless without someone to fight. Or an energy/magic attack to send back. But maybe I could use the shadows to move around…..' "My king? Izuku? You might want to snap out of it. You're starting to scare everyone." Xeimei says while shaking Izuku's shoulder. Izuku looks around and can see everyone looking at him funny.
He blushes before asking if he was thinking out loud again. "Yes you were. But I can at least understand what you were thinking of." Aizawa mentions while nodding to the student. He then notes that Izuku had the right idea in general. "Most of you have a general idea of what you want to do in combat. But in a rescue situation, you have to consider different variables. As Midoriya mentioned, his strength could be a hinderance or cause more damage if he isn't careful."
Aizawa then goes on to note that certain ones might be in trouble in some cases. Like Kaminari being useless in a water emergency. Or half of Todoriki's quirk being a detriment in a forest. "You all need to consider other options and factors when on a rescue mission. As such we will have a special instructor as well as myself, All Might, and Vlad King. Oh and-" "I'll be tagging along as well."
Jonathan says while teleporting into the room. And making Aizawa stumble a bit while the American in the room is just looking at him a bit smug. When the teacher stands though, he looks like he wants to strangle the man but knows he can't. So with an annoyed sigh, he tells the students to meet outside to transport them to the location for the training. "Why don't I just teleport them? It's not like it would be hard."
Aizawa shoots Jonathan a dirty look before saying they should do things the more normal way. "Especially after the insanity of the last few days." "Uh don't you mean yesterday Aizawa-sensei? We were only gone a few hours in this world." Mineta says with a scratch of his head. This makes Aizawa's eye twitch again and he lets out a frustrated breath before acquiescing that the short student was technically correct.
When they all arrive at the bus lots, Ida asks Izuku's permission to set up a loading strategy for all of them. "Yeah, pretty sure we don't need to worry about that Ida. I don't think these are the same kinds of busses." Itsuka says while her own class starts to load up. Ida checks and sees that the other class rep was correct. So, with a disappointed sigh he steps on first, with his classmates following.
Master Jonathan though decides to still do things his way. In this case flying above with the power granted by the Gem of the Nine Winds in his chest. Each of the teachers look at him with a mixture of annoyance, awe, and slight resignation. While Izuku contemplates trying to use his wings. But when he tries to make them appear, it doesn't work. 'No target of vengeance….. right. I've got Skíðblaðnir to take me long distances, but its nothing compared to aniki's. Maybe I could…..'
While Izuku in thinking all of this, a few of the others note his intense look and that he seems to be muttering to himself. Xeimei smiles a bit before she and Mina reassure the rest that he was fine. "Probably just trying to figure out the best way to use his authorities." Mina jokes to the side. Tsuyu then puts forward a question that had been nagging at her. "So are you three like in a relationship now or something?"
While a few of the other girls look on in a mix of envy and excitement, the boys are ready to either start crying blood at the injustices or ragging on Izuku for having more than one girlfriend. While Mina blushed bright purple, Xeimei just smiled with a light pink dusting her cheeks. "Not yet but maybe soon. We're all still students so we'll hold off on certain things till later. Besides…. Who says we'll be the only ones?" Xeimei says with a smile before pulling out one of her spell books to review.
This make Ochaco and Momo think a bit more about their own positions. As well as ways to step in and get closer to Izuku. But before anyone can think in more detail, the busses stop. The first-year classes had arrived at the USJ. With Thirteen happily greeting all of them.
Once inside the space themed hero points to each of the disaster zones and what they as heroes might have to do inside each of these emergencies. "Let alone what it means to use your powers in these situations. Take my quirk for example. Black Hole lets me suck up anything into a void and compress things down to nothing. This in many ways can be useful for clearing debris, but it could easily kill." Jonathan nods before noting that even those with strength or similar powers have to be careful as well.
"Correct Master Jonathan. Take me for example. If I unleashed my full strength upon a villain, I'd basically turn them to mush or red mist. And if I lift something wrong, there is a very good chance I could destabilize debris to collapse on others." All Might says while he stands to the side. He has his trademark smile, but each of the students can feel the seriousness of his words. A few like Sato and Jurota nod as their powers could be a hinderance in certain situations.
Aizawa and Kan then speak their own pieces. "Here each of you will be trained to deal with a different natural disaster. You'll be graded based on your performance and your cooperation with your classmates." "In other words, don't try to one up one another in this scenario. It isn't logical to push down your comrades when there are lives on the line. Now Thirteen where… should we…. Master Jonathan?" Aizawa says while noticing that the first Campione was looking down toward the center plaza.
"We've got a problem." Was all Jonathan need to say, and everyone took his word seriously. Izuku quickly ran up and looked down to see what the old warrior meant. And he saw what he meant. A black mass opened up in the middle of the plaza. With a strange villain with hands all over his body coming out first. Followed by scores of other villains. Including a massive black skinned monster with an exposed brain and a beak for a mouth.
Jonathan sniffed the air for a second and had an even more enraged look on his face than before. "One of those enemies is a corpse. Pulled from the grave and mutated to be some kind of man-made monster. Just like the ones who were created by the quirk virus." This shocks and worries all of the heroes gathered. Especially when he notes that the creature likely has more than one quirk. But Izuku isn't surprised anymore. So, he asks his senior what the plan was.
"The plan is that the heroes will handle this. And you students will get out of here." Aizawa says while he, Kan, and All Might step forward to fight the horde of villains. Jonathan just snorts before saying, "you do realize you have no rule over us right? WE can do what we want. And frankly what I want is to kill a bunch of punk ass bitches like everyone of them down there." The savage look that comes over Jonathan's faces worries most gathered. So Izuku asks that he restrain himself somewhat.
Izuku surreptitiously signals for Mina and Xeimei coming up as well to appeal to the older man. With the girls giving him puppy dog eyes, and Izuku taking a firm stance to say the first should kill all of the villains gathered. "You're cheating by using the girls." "Everything is fair game when it comes to dealing with Campione. Right?" Jonathan just snorts at Izuku rationalizing and calls the young man a smartass, before agreeing to hold back slightly.
Izuku nods at this and then looks to the girls. They nod to him, and he embraces each of them before kissing them. And granting them the powers of the Dog and Monkey. With the features returning for each of the girls. "You just had to show off a bit didn't you Midoriya?" Mineta says bitterly after the girls transform. Izuku just shrugs before noting that the girls no longer fit the just students or quirked person element either. "They are Campione-esque. So, they'll be coming along."
Both of Aizawa's eyes start twitching at the fact that Izuku and now two of his students have ways around the orders he set down. Let alone the fact that they were not technically using quirks anymore. "I swear. I'm going to go insane from everything I've had to deal with so far." "Tried it. It's fun for a while, but you eventually get bored with it. And you settle down and find other things to do…. While still sometimes going back to insanity." Jonathan quips with a smirk to the young man. At least by his perception.
All Might just shakes his head before asking Thirteen to escort the rest of the students out. While he and the rest, engage the villains at their door. While their walking down, Jonathan says to Izuku and All Might, "I think you two should go first. Might make for a bigger impact." The pair nod and take deep breaths. Before blitzing down the stairs so fast the villains can't see them.
After their first attack, a few try to engage the two heroes. But they are quickly set upon by two new forces. Mina using the speed and acrobatics of the Monkey to rapidly knock out six villains in a few seconds. And Jonathan, who first flexes by teleporting behind a few villains. And then stabbing them through the chest. Followed by a kick to one of the villains that sends the woman through three buildings, taking his hands off his swords to gesture at six more before they are each electrocuted, frozen, or set on fire.
"I thought I asked you to hold back?!" Izuku shouts while knocking out another villain. Jonathan just shrugs while saying, "I am. Most of them are still in one piece… or haven't gone so insane that they kill themselves. Even the frozen or burned ones will live….. probably." Izuku just facepalms before catching a villain's attack. And then throwing said villain through the faux mountain.
Xeimei meanwhile works with Aizawa and Kan to make sure some of the villains stay down. By creating bindings with elemental magic, as well as knocking out some that the first four had missed with her increased strength. She at one point sheathes her blades and catches two larger villains' fists. Lifting them up and throwing them to different sections of the USJ.
It doesn't take five minutes, and most of the villains have been beaten, restrained… or killed by Jonathan's excessive measures. Including creating a lighting bolt that strikes the shipwreck zone. Electrocuting and killing all of the villains within it. This of course angers the leader Tomura Shigaraki and makes him scratch at his neck to the point he draws blood. "Nomu! Kill that crazy cowboy and All Might!"
With that shout, the black monster Nomu rapidly rushes at Jonathan first. But the old warrior doesn't even blink and quickly puts up a shield that stops the beasts attack. "Not bad….. still weaker than you though boy. I'm surprised they thought or think that this could kill you." All Might then rushes the beast himself. And sends it flying with five punches.
This shocks Tomura as he was guaranteed by the doctor and his master that the beast would be able to handle a weakened All Might. "I really do owe those elves. If they hadn't healed me, it would have taken much more to defeat that beast. Let alone you warning me about the multiple quirks." Izuku off to the side notes that the creature probably had abilities to counter most anything All Might could do. As well as much of what his preferred authorities are.
Kurogiri hadn't even left to try and stop the students at the front as the fight had finished so quickly. So he asked if Tomura wanted to retreat. "Kurogiri. Bring those out." Tomura said while pulling the feather out of his pocket. Kurogiri complied but warned about what could happen. "I don't care. If it kills All Might and everyone else here…. All the better." The mad villain says while glaring at the heroes and Campione gathered.
Kurogiri widens his misty body even more, confusing the group gathered. But what comes out next terrifies each of the heroes gathered. The first that swings out with a massive club and body. Jonathan stops it again with his shield, but this time he has to plant his feet. And All Might gets behind to stop the club. What walks out is a beast with not two, not four, but one hundred arms and hands. A Hecatoncheires.
The second creature to step from the black mist, was a beast with human like head. But that was the only human part. Suddenly a scorpion tail lashed out and was about to strike Aizawa. But All Might timed his strike just right and got under the attack to swat the tail away. Then the rest of the beast stepped out. With the body of a lion and a claws that looked like they could rend metal. A Manticore.
"Okay this is bad! This is really bad! Toshinori! Get close and grab the Manticore! And watch out for the tail! This sting can kill with one strike!" Jonathan says to the number one hero while trying to restrain the Hecatoncheires. All Might takes the man's suggestion before grabbing the beast underneath and throwing it closer to the giant. The Manticore then aims its stinger at the others. So All Might again rushes in stop the creature from attacking.
Jonathan then creates a magic circle in his hand and tells All Might to hang on. "This is gonna be a bumpy ride! Don't die idiot!" Jonathan shouts before casting the circle downward. And warping the four away. This shocks everyone still conscious or alive. With Tomura being sure that All Might was going to die.
"Don't be so confident villain. Besides….. you have a bigger problem. Me." Izuku says while cracking his knuckles before summoning his katana, harpoon, and glaive. Tomura just rolls his eyes before rushing at Izuku. But again he is moving in slow motion to the Campione. Not as slow compared to what Jonathan viewed it as, but Izuku just smirks before rushing forward and punching the young man in the stomach so hard he flies into the fake mountain behind him.
Tomura almost passes out from the hit, but he manages to stay conscious with his own stubborn anger driving him. "Okay wasn't expecting that. But I won't-" he starts before he gets hit to the side of his head by a flying knee. Courtesy of the pink ball of fire, Mina. She then amps up her speed and rapidly blitzes the villain from multiple sides (Think like Kilua's Godspeed Bolt from Jump Force). Before sending him down toward Xeimei. Who decides to take a page from All Might's book and go for the strongest punch she can manage in her Dog form.
This punch to Tomura's face breaks multiple spots and guarantees a knockout. But just before he passes out, he grips the feather. Asking in his mind for help from whoever sent it. With the leader defeated, and his escape route restrained by the hero teachers, each of the members there feel they can breath easy now.
Then a new wind whips up causing each to wince a bit at the strange incident. "Seriously?! What's next!?" Kan shouts while pinning the metal plate on Kurogiri's neck. His answer is given by the strange new arrival to the plaza zone.
Floating above the others, in a strange schoolgirl uniform. With silver hair and a blue hat that makes it look like she has cat ears. Her eyes are a deep amethyst color as she gazes over everyone in the plaza. "You shouldn't have waited so long boy. You should have summoned me from the start. At least then you wouldn't be in the pitiful place you are now." The girl says with her eyes casting over Tomura and then to Izuku and his girls.
She suddenly disappears and reappears in front of Izuku. Shocking him and everyone else. "Fascinating. You are similar to the king of Japan before. But yet different in various ways. As much as I'd like to end you with my deathly words…." The girl teleports away again as Xeimei slashes at her with her jian and naginata. "Be careful my king. This is one enemy to never underestimate."
"Wisdom of the Far East. Let us see how it fairs against the wisest war god of the west!" the girl shouts before surrounding herself in light. And then unleashing a blast that leaves a mist behind. For Aizawa, Kan, and Kurogiri they start choking and feeling sick as soon as the dust settles. Izuku, Xeimei, and Mina though are feeling fine. And are each awestruck at who they see now.
Instead of the more childlike girl before, looking barely 14, now there is a woman with the same silver hair and amethyst eyes gazing down upon them. She is clothed in a toga and has a laurel of leaves atop her head. And in her hands is a black scythe. "But how? The Gorgonian…" "Is with me now. No more am I separated from my power. I am whole. And you shall face me now, God slayer of the Far East. Face the goddess of wisdom and war. Athena!"
Yeah I'm guessing a few of you guessed this was coming. But it felt right for what I've got planned in the long run. Just needed to get down to business and actually write this.
