The Heroic God Slayer

Chapter 20

I'm going to go a bit slower this chapter. Given I've got a new member to Izuku's harem, and it would be good for him and the others to just be….. well kids. You'll also find out what happened at the Sports Festival and what the next battles could be. So on with show.

After a long soak in their personal rotemburo, Izuku and Reiko took to exploring the town. First exploring the Marine Park and then the Bear Farm, then stopping at a few souvenir shops for something to bring back.

Though along the way to the shops Reiko chuckles at the demon statues along the road. "Think you'll have to fight anything like these eventually?" Reiko said while pointing to one of the oni statues. Izuku just leans his head to the side before saying, "I really hope not. Momotaro was trouble enough. I don't want to know what Shuten-doji or Yamato no Orochi could do to me or anyone else."

"But at least you won't have to fight him alone this time. Me, Ashido, and Xeimei will fight with you." Reiko says with a comforting smile and hand on Izuku's shoulder. A smile that Izuku returns while thanking the ghost girl.

When they get to shop, the first thing Reiko gravitates toward is a book on ghost stories of the Ainu. As well as a few figures of Yuki-onna. Izuku meanwhile looks to yokan and a few other sweets and snacks to take back.

They then went to a ramen shop that was highly recommended by the locals. Though Izuku did order a pork cutlet as well. "You really like that don't you?" Reiko said while enjoying her meal.

"It does mean victory in our language. And that was one thing…. Katsuki and I both thought of when it came to heroes. Though I was more about saving lives to be a hero compared to him." Izuku said while looking down at his bowl.

Reiko noticed the shift in Izuku's tone so she asked for another portion before saying they had time if he wanted to talk. "This Katsuki person. Was he a friend?" Reiko's question made Izuku a touch uneasy. As he wasn't sure given where they left things.

"I don't know. We….. we grew up together. We both wanted to be heroes. And with his quirk he could have been. But….. well I guess it's the Fates since they are probably real. They have a funny way to doing things." Izuku started before telling Reiko there was going to be long story.

One that had the ghost girl in tears eventually. Primarily at the bullying and last words that were spoken to him by Katsuki. And even though Izuku suspected that Katsuki never cared about him anymore, a part of him still thought they were somewhat friends.

Reiko shook her head before saying, "you deserved better than that. You and Yuri. My quirkless classmate. I'm surprised that you don't want to just rampage like Master Jonathan." Izuku looked down into his new bowl of noodles before noting that it was still because he wanted to be a hero.

"It's part of something aniki mentioned. We Campione have our fixations or obsessions. His is collecting and protecting artifacts of the past. What little he's told me about Seraphim-san makes me assume she's got a party or some kind of similar party obsession. Mine. To be a hero like All Might, I guess."

Reiko gently took Izuku's hand before telling him he was already a hero. "Even before you took the powers of a god. You stepped in when you found out about the tablet and the tournament of heroes. You were willing to sacrifice your life to save those that you would probably never know. That makes you a hero."

Izuku blushed and thanked Reiko for what she said. With the bit of venting done, the god slayer suggested that they finish up their meals before they got colder. Enjoying the cutlets and a few other dishes that Reiko had ordered while letting Izuku vent.

While they were exploring, they saw some highlights from the Sports Festival. Namely, that Shoto had been defeated in the second round of the competition. By Xeimei herself. "I gotta be honest: that makes total sense. Todoroki's power may be strong, but he's too straightforward."

Reiko nods before noting that Xeimei had a lot more flexibility and versatility. Even if she was pretending her magic was a quirk. Evidenced by her disappearing underground and coming up behind Shoto for hand to hand combat.

She knocked him around a few times before using his own ice against him. She seemed to say something to the bi colored teen, while said boy had a puffy eye and bloody nose. While the cameras couldn't pick up what she said, whatever it was said was enough to punch through something in Shoto. As his right fist tightened and burst into flame.

Xeimei gave him a nod before gesturing to bring it. And Shoto unleashed a massive torrent of fire right at the girl. But she was counting on this. After all, he had forgotten one important point. She could manipulate fire as well as ice and earth.

Proven by the creation of a massive pillar of flame shooting straight up into the sky. After Shoto's attack ceased, Xeimei rushed at him (gently dragging her hands along the ground) and gave the fire and ice teen a double palm attack to the stomach. Knocking him into the air and left at the mercy of her next attack. That being multiple pillars of ice and stone coming out of the ground and striking him in the stomach again.

With that attack, Shoto was out of the ring and out cold. Xeimei would go on to win the entire Sports Festival after that. As they were always standing on stone that she could manipulate and there were few who could compete. Even Shiozaki's vines were no trouble as they were technically wood. So Xeimei could manipulate them as well.

When All Might arrived to award the top three, he had gently complimented Tokoyami and Shiozaki as they were the third place victors. While second place was taken by a surprising student. Shinso Hitoshi from the General department.

He'd breezed through most of the competition thanks to his quirk. And most of the hero course students' inability to keep their mouths shut. But he found no such respite with Xeimei. She never talked once and was not bothered by his insults. So, she rapidly and efficiently, beat the snot out of him.

"You know. I'm not actually surprised. To be honest if it wasn't for my obvious magic and strength advantage, I'm pretty sure Xeimei could beat me easy." Izuku said while watching the highlights. Reiko chuckled slightly before saying, "there is a reason she's your first. Right?"

After a simple agreement, the two walked on to explore a bit more. With Izuku stopping at a plant store for a moment for a special congratulatory gift. With that and a few snacks like mochi, marimo, and the like for the rest of their classmates, the heroic God Slayer and his third partner just took in the sites around the town.

With the day winding down, the two teens took to enjoying their hotel room and the baths once again. With less awkwardness compared to the first time they got in. But that changed a bit when they were readying to sleep.

While Izuku offered to take the couch, Reiko physically (or rather telekinetically) tossed him onto the bed. "You are more exhausted than I am. So you should sleep…. And you are sleeping." Reiko started to say but quickly realized Izuku's exhaustion had caught up with him.

He was all but snoring on the bed and didn't look like he was going to move from the center. Reiko herself was going to go to the couch to sleep. Until she peeked back at Izuku once or twice. She gently slipped over to him and with a pushing of her hair behind her ear, she bent down to kiss him once again.

Only to find herself in his grasp and unable to move. This made her blush of course, until she remembered what Mina had mentioned about him on Skíðblaðnir. 'So he grabs things in his sleep. Okay then. Not getting out of here with his strength. Though to be honest… it's comforting. It feels like I'm being held by….. by…'

Reiko had started her thoughts but her exhaustion from fighting a god, twice, caught up with her as well. And she fell asleep in Izuku's arms. Which of course led to some minor freak outs in the morning.

With the threat done and the heroes rested, Izuku and Reiko were teleported back to UA thanks to a few of the magicians of the CCTH. And right into a conference that the teachers were holding. "Uh. Hi?" Izuku said with a nervous chuckle.

The teachers quickly pounced on them to ask what had happened and where they had been for the last day. "Uh didn't Midnight tell you?" Izuku asked while looking at said teacher. Nemuri just shrugged before saying, "I only knew that Jonathan wanted you to have that letter he wrote after we had sex. He didn't tell me anything more than you needed to get it."

"Okay we didn't need to know that you two got down and dirty when he was in town Kayama." Mic said with a facepalm. One mirrored by his best friend and a few other teachers. Izuku and Reiko though were slightly blushing at the thought before the former shook his head and explained the details.

Which just left his teachers slack jawed and bug eyed at the fact their students had basically stopped a world wide catastrophe. Aizawa walks over to a wall and starts bashing his head against it. "This.. isn't….. what…. Students… should… be….. dealing with!" Aizawa said between impacts.

All Might though commends the pair. "You stepped up because you could do something about it. That shows true heroism. Though I am curious about you sparing… Kagutsuchi? You said?" Izuku nodded while thinking back on the fight. And why it was she was raging and wanted to burn everything.

"I know her pain. Something about hearing it…. From a god's perspective…. I don't know. I guess I just sympathized with her. And when I did. I couldn't end her." Reiko puts a hand on Izuku's shoulder before giving him an understanding look.

Vlad King notices this but waits until some other questions get asked. Like the likely hood of Kagutsuchi rising again to threaten everything. Izuku shakes his head before saying, "not right now? Probably anyway. I think I've shifted her focus to me. So if she does regain power, she'll come after me."

"And you won't fight her alone. Right, my king?" Reiko said with a slight blush. Though this gets all the adults attention this time, and Vlad looks ready to strangle Izuku. All Might though lets out a hearty laugh before saying, "so. Another of the animal's roles filled eh?"

Midnight meanwhile takes Reiko to the side and makes sure she's prepared with a few things. All of which make the girl's face turn into a snow capped tomato. While Izuku's face looks like a normal tomato when Midnight surreptitiously hands him some condoms. "Just in case." Midnight says with a wink.

With the interrogations done, Nemuri offers to escort the two home. And to help them carry some of the souvenirs back as well. After dropping Reiko off, Izuku and Midnight are left alone in the taxi. "So… did anything happen?" Midnight says with a raise of her eyebrow.

Izuku was still blushing but let out a nervous "no!" while trying to not look conspicuous. He kept it simple by explaining how exhausted he was. "So was she. And….. well she was going to sleep in the sitting room. But I apparently grab onto things in my sleep. Second time this has happened."

Nemuri nods before saying he missed his chance to show what he could do as a hero. "But you showed something far greater than that. As a Campione." She says with a smile directed his way.

Once they reached his apartment, Midnight stopped him for a moment. "You should really take care of all of your girls. You had a good vacation with Yanagi. But you should show the other girls some similar love." Nemuri said with a wink.

"You're right. We've got a couple of days off. Maybe I'll do just that." Izuku said with a smile. When he arrived home though, he was bombarded by a new series of questions from his parents. They were both terrified of the fact he had faced someone like Kagutsuchi. But they were also proud of him for stopping her rampage.

Though his mother was especially concerned about the fact that multiple girls kept getting caught up in these incidents. "And you aren't seriously thinking of dating all of them are you?!" Inko asked with an incredulous look on her face.

Izuku blushed before saying, "I don't know if this is just some puppy love, crushes, or maybe it could be real affection and love. But I want to find it out with them." While he had started out blushing, his face was serious at the end. Illustrating to his parents that he intended to take this seriously.

And he showed that by going next door and checking in on Xeimei. Who quickly wrapped him in a hug before saying, "Nǐ gè bèndàn! I may have known some of what was going on. But you could have let me in on more of it! You could have asked me to come with you! You could have-"

Before Xeimei could finish her next sentence, Izuku hugged her tight. And then brought her in for a kiss in her doorway. "Sorry. You're right. I should have told you more of what was going on. And what I was facing. But at the time….. I could only see the threat in front of me and what it could do to the world."

Xeimei sighed before asking Izuku to come inside. He also brought with him a few of the souvenirs he and Reiko had picked up. Including a few special items. "Chōsen-gomishi vines. You got these and a few others for me?" Izuku blushed while handing her a few of the seed packets and other medicinal plants.

"Yeah. I knew you had a small garden in here for your remedies. So I thought I could bring you some from Hokaido. Ones you might not be able to get easily." Xeimei thanked her king with a smile before asking if he had anything else to say about what happened the day prior.

Izuku smiled again before saying, "yeah. You were great out there. You showed how skilled you really are in the Sports Festival. Not to mention, gave Todoroki a bit of a different kind of wall?"

Xeimei chuckled before recounting how she had intentionally kept the bi colored boy in the ring. "I wanted him to get past whatever it was that was holding him in place. Felt the only way to do that was to show that I could counter most everything he could do. I want to talk to him a bit more about it. But for now….. he was able to see that overwhelming firepower doesn't always carry you through."

The young God Slayer nodded before recounting some of his own fiery fight. The two compared notes on the battle, how some other strategies might have been more effective, or what support Xeimei could have provided if she had been there with him.

"But at least now you have all of your beast companions. Or rather beautiful beasts. Considering that it's all attractive young girls." Xeimei said with a smirk. Izuku didn't even blush this time. He just shrugged and agreed with her.

The two spent the next few hours talking away in Xeimei's apartment. With the mage bringing up that she had begun teaching a few others about magic. "Its mostly been those who are interested in you. But a few others have come to me with some questions regarding magic and the like."

"Well I won't turn down some magical hero assistance. But I am curious on what you intend to teach each of them." Izuku said before noticing the sun was going down. He panics for a moment while rambling about wanting to do something special with Xeimei.

The girl just stops him though and kisses him once again. "It doesn't have to be some big gesture. Or a fancy showing or dinner. Honestly. Just spending time with you like this was fun in its own way. We can do something special another time. Although…. Were you hoping for something specific?"

Xeimei says this while seductively easing over to him. A bit of her cleavage on display, a coy smile on her lips, and her crimson eyes peering deep into his green. Izuku gulps while backing up a bit. Only for the condoms Midnight gave him to slip out of his pocket. Surprising both teens.

Izuku blue screens before freaking out and trying to say that he wasn't looking to do that. "At least not right now! Midnight-sensei gave them to me and I didn't think to take them out while I was at home and-"

His swimming thoughts are put to a halt by Xeimei putting a finger on his lips. She nods before saying she expected Midnight to have something to do with it. "She passed a few things to me and Mina after the events in Vanaheim. Just in case. And….. I'll be honest, I have thought about it myself. But I appreciate that you want to wait."

This gets Izuku to relax a bit and thank his first knight. The two just relax after the tension is lifted with Izuku enjoying some white tea that Xeimei brewed from her own grown supply. "You know you kinda surprised me with that whole seductive allure. You've never done that before."

"Hm. You could say I'm like a Shirabyoushi from Shinto belief. I'll only show that side of myself to those I choose. I'm not going to be loose or flirty with just anyone. Though I'll admit. I had to accept it myself. I was just focused on being your knight and confidant at first." Xeimei said while enjoying some snacks from Noribeitsu.

With Izuku's mother calling both over for dinner, the king and his first knight enjoy their evening in a more placid and platonic manner. Though not without Xeimei getting in one last tease when Izuku walks her back to her apartment.

"One more serious thing. You should take Mina out for something more fun. Not just going to an arcade or something like that. Though I get the feeling you already have been thinking about that." Xeimei says before shutting her door.

"Yeah. Thing is…. I'm not sure what would be the best. Other than to let her take the lead." Izuku says with a rub to the back of his head. The Chinese mage shrugs and notes that it might be the best for this situation.

After enjoying the afternoon and evening together, Izuku reaches out to his second partner. "Hey Mina….. Whoa! What's wrong?! Ah. Right. Sorry I didn't give you or Xeimei more details….. yeah she already chewed me out for that. Btw, how did you end up doing for the Sports Festival? I only saw highlights…. Oh that bad. I'm sorry I've got nothing else to say to that."

The two talk for an hour or so before Izuku broaches his main topic. Mainly because Mina kept having to vent about being knocked out early thanks to Shinso. And was only placated by Izuku reminding her that not everything would come down to a contest of power the same way.

"Fine. So what did you call about Izuku?" Mina asked while still pouting a bit on the other side of the call. That was when Izuku asked if she wanted to do anything during the break they had. "I did a whole hot springs vacation with Reiko. And I….. well it wasn't what I expected, but Xeimei just had fun spending time with me at her place. So do you have anything you'd like to do?"

This gets the pouting pink girl excited and she asks if they can use his Skíðblaðnir authority to just go sailing. "That and maybe swimming in the sea a bit. I could use some exercise that has nothing to do with my quirk." Mina says in an exasperated tone. Izuku chuckles a bit before agreeing.

"I need to get a better feel for what I can do with my ship anyway. So I'll come up with something that'll be perfect for a little break." Izuku says before telling Mina he'd see her tomorrow. Mina gives him an excited "can't wait!" and tells him good night before prepping herself.

When Izuku meets up with Mina, she has a yellow top and jean skirt combo. And a bikini packed into her bag for later. "So are we going straight to the sea?" Mina asks excitedly. And Izuku just gives her a flat look before saying, "Hell no. There's a cove near a stop on this bus line. We'll go there and I'll launch Skíðblaðnir. Then we can just enjoy the sea."

Mina pouts a bit but does see why he was avoiding attention. Especially for an unusual ability like that. But her pouting ends when they reach the cove. Izuku checks around before pulling his ship out of his pocket. And then making it into a decent sized catamaran ship to get away from the shore.

"I'm still amazed that this ship can fit in your pocket." Mina said as Izuku helped her up on the vessel. The God Slayer just shrugs before jumping back into the water to push the ship further out. And the swimming so hard he leaps out of the water to land on the deck.

Mina applauds a bit at his landing and is surprised again when the ship starts to deeper waters. With Izuku intentionally steering the ship away from prying eyes. "Gotta keep this a secret. It'll be hard enough to disguise or hide if anyone spot it at a public place."

"And you're not ready to reveal the truth to the world right?" Mina asks while leaning on the railing. Izuku nods before checking if they were in international waters. And when they did, he made Skíðblaðnir transform again.

This time into a super yacht that looks like it has a volcano and a massive pool at the bow of the deck. And out the stern it looks like it could pick up or dock other ships to it. "What? The!? HELL!? Where did you get the idea for this?!" Mina asks with a mixture of alarm and excitement.

Izuku just laughs a bit before saying, "thank aniki. It was apparently a big deal of a ship back in his day. They made a few but most were forgotten due to the advent of quirks." Hearing this part brings Mina down a bit, as she feels some phantom stinging to her back.

The young slayer notices this and quickly picks her up in a bridal carry. Which of course freaks her out a bit and even moreso when he leaps up and drops them both into the pool. "Ah! Not cool!" Mina sputtered as she swam to the surface.

"Maybe not, but it was fun!" Izuku says with a smile. Mina bonks him on the head a few times before swimming to the edge to find her bag. Izuku does similar and gets the dark green trunks he brought for enjoying a bit of time at sea.

Only to have a bit of a nosebleed at seeing the skimpy black and pink bikini she packed. The fabric barely covering her modesty. "Well now~. Did I make the big hero of Japan get a bit bigger in certain places~?" Mina said while pulling at the strings of her swimsuit.

And when Izuku jumped into the water without looking more, Mina had her answer. She then changed to a white two piece that she brought for actual swimming. "You brought that other one just to make me blush didn't you?" Izuku grumbles from the water.

Mina just gives him a big smile and says, "Yep! I couldn't resist!" She then dives in a tells him to relax and just enjoy his huge party boat. Izuku lets out a slightly suffering sigh but agrees and has fun swimming with Mina.

And they both enjoy the food and other things aboard the ship that Izuku hadn't realized were there. "How did you not know?" Mina says with a confused look. "Well to be honest, I was mostly going for the size, appearance, and pool aspect. I didn't know I had this awesome kitchen, a small arcade, and or the hot tub." Izuku explains with a shrug.

Mina narrows her eyes a bit before shrugging as well as looking to see what looked good to eat. And both being shocked by the ship cooking some of the food for them. "Okay clearly I need to do more research with this authority. Though it might be better to have some others along." Izuku says while his head tilts to the side.

And Mina just takes this moment to tease her king again. Namely with, "you mean by bringing all of your girls along and seeing what they would be wearing? Ohhh. I can imagine Xeimei really rocking a sporty two piece or a black suit like mine! Reiko would probably be more for a one piece. Ochaco and Yaomomo though are different stories."

"Ochaco and Yaoyorozu? But they…. Okay who am I kidding? I know they are kind of interested." Izuku starts to defend but stops himself. Mina hip bumps him before saying he could try to be upfront and pursue them. "I know you are at least physically interested in them. Don't lie."

Izuku nods before picking up the katsudon and tuna sashimi platter Skíðblaðnir made for him. "How about we talk about this out on the deck?" Izuku says as Mina picks up her plate of stir-fried okra. They head out and enjoy the sea breeze and sun along with their lunches.

The young god slayer sighs after both finish their meals as he leans back in one of the deck chairs. "I…. I wasn't born with a quirk. When that got found out, it made a lot of people want to avoid me. Some mocking and bullying me because I wasn't like the rest of them." Izuku starts before venting more about his past.

Including some of how girls would taunt or mock him for being a waste of genes and the like because he couldn't be a hero or couldn't help to make a better hero. "Even if they had no intention of sleeping with anyone themselves, they still wanted to make fun of the fact basically no one would want to be with me."

When Izuku looked up he saw that Mina had a mixture of looks on her face. One of the main ones being that she was crying. While her eyebrows were twisted in a furious angle to show how angry she was. And her mouth was wavering between a neutral state and an angry frown.

"Those…. I….. I don't even know what to say or really the best way to respond to all of that. You've gone through too much. And it doesn't even have to do with all of the crazy gods you've had to fight." Mina says while wiping her eyes.

Izuku picks up one of the napkins to hand to Mina, only to suddenly find his face in her chest. He of course blushes and sputters out a question of what she was doing. "I giving you some of what they should have. A hug when you needed it. Even if they didn't like you, they had no right to treat you as they did."

Izuku isn't sure how to react and something else comes forward. Tears are one part, but not of sadness or joy. These are tears of relief and comfort. A reaction to the warm embrace Mina was giving him.

After crying for a time, Mina claps and tells him that they should play more often to make up for what he missed out on when he was younger. And grabs his arm to pull him into the pool again. The two splash around for a time, and then both enjoy the sun by soaking up some rays. With Mina teasing Izuku again with putting some lotion on her. And then reciprocating the gesture.

They go for one last swim in the ocean and then pool. With Mina pulling Izuku close at one point. She wraps him in a hug while bumping her hips against his, gazing into his eyes with a mix of compassion, affection, and admiration. Izuku's eyes meanwhile have a gaze of gratefulness, and affection.

The two come together with a kiss and pull each other together. With Mina's hands exploring Izuku's muscles, rear, and gripping his hair. To Izuku gripping tight onto her body. Before moving his hands to her breasts, back, and then her backside.

And discovering an interesting weakpoint. When he grips her buttocks, he feels her squirm and her legs tighten around his where she was leaning. "Well now. That was interesting." Izuku said while panting and catching his breath.

Mina was as well but she was also blushing from him learning about a bit of a kink of her's. "We do not talk about this. At least….. not in public. Okay?" Mina says with a bit of a puppy dog stare at him. One that makes Izuku crumble and agree.

After they relax for a bit, with Mina reclining on Izuku's body, Izuku starts Skíðblaðnir towards the shore. Eventually turning it back into a catamaran. While Mina is a bit saddened that their relaxing day was done, she told Izuku she had a lot of fun. And that they should do it again with others.

After the riding on the bus back to town, Izuku walks Mina home and tells her, "see you at school Mina. Hopefully I won't have too much to worry about there." Mina rolls her eyes before wrapping her arms around Izuku's neck and kissing him again. "I'll see you then. Izu." Mina says with a blush. Especially when both teens notice that Mina's parents are watching. Izuku greets them before saying goodbye again and running home.

When he does get to school the next day, Aizawa has a special set of announcements to make. "You'll be picking hero names today." At that, most of the students cheer as they feel this is their chance to make a brand name for themselves. Aizawa uses his quirk to settle down the student before continuing on with his explanation.

"Aside from that, pro heroes have decided to make offers to draft you first years. Normally they don't show an interest until all of you are in your third year. But quite a few offers have been made." After saying that, Aizawa shows the list of offers made to UA for certain students. The top of the class 1-A list though, is Todoroki.

For Izuku though, he was surprised that he also had a recommendation. "Sir? How did I get an offer? I didn't even compete in the Sports Festival." Izuku questioned. Aizawa looked to the board before explaining some of the details.

"You had an offer before the Sports Festival. It's for the Sir Nighteye agency. Togata spoke highly of you apparently and it got the hero curious." With the explanation given, Izuku figured that would be the best going forward. But he couldn't come up with a name for himself so he did what Shoto did and used his own name for the time being.

Xeimei meanwhile had an offer from the Endeavor Agency and Ochaco was considering an internship with Gunhead. While Mina was considering a few others, she noticed something with the vice president of the class.

She knew he was down for a while after hearing about what happened to his brother. So she checked on his chosen internship and saw it was in Hosu. Just like where his brother was injured. So she put in to study at the Manual agency as well. 'Sometimes, a Campione's partners have to step up as well.' Mina thinks after submitting her choice.

If it seems odd about Izuku's parents knowing about his whole Campione thing, I was kinda going with the idea that he tried to gently tell them and explain what he could do after fighting the gods. But that didn't feel like a major point given I was focusing more on his growth as a hero and student. And maybe a bit of a playboy.

In the meantime, the next chapter will detail a bit more with what I'll do for the major arc coming up. You'll have to see in time. This one was more about giving Izuku a bit more respite and time to relax. Please review.
