Tom and his friends sighed, bored. They had nothing else to talk about. They had also finished their training routine. Their parents were still talking together, but thankfully, those embarrassing stories were behind them. They were in the main room with them. The parents were at one table, while the teenagers and Sarah's brother were at another.

Alexander asked, "Do you have anything planned today?"

"No. We don't have anything planned. There is nothing else to do here," Sarah grumbled. She wondered how he wasn't bored out of his mind with the stillness of their situation.

"There are a few things to do, if you have a good imagination and don't mind annoying people," her big brother replied.

There was a sudden glare coming from Odu-Bathax at the moment the man said that. It was obvious that the blue Danian was the target of whatever Alexander had in his mind.

"And there is nothing from Codemaster Crellan or the others," Tom sighed.

"Just news from them," Peyton replied.

Kaz sighed, "And Maxxor still hasn't shown up. I wonder if something is going on with him. Chaor was absent for a while and now he is back."

"They aren't saying anything about it," Sarah realized. She tapped her finger on the table, "I'm sure nothing happened to him, with the M'arrillians here. Still, he must be really busy trying something to fix the portal."

"Once they are here, the M'arrillians will finally be defeated," Kaz commented. He tapped his foot on the ground, "Still, what is going on in Perim?"

"Anyway dudes, we just need to be ready for anything right now," Peyton replied with a small smile. Boredom also took a bit of his usually jovial mood.

"You might just need to-" Alexander was interrupted.

Tom's father came in, "Stay here. We have a situation north of Summervale," the man began.

His son quickly turned towards him, "What's going on dad?"

"We found a M'arrillian on his own. He was accompanied by a human. We don't know what is going on, but the general decided to send soldiers to capture him."

"What?" The four yelled as they stood up. They couldn't believe they had had such a bad idea.

"Don't worry. The creatures went there with protective headgear. They also gave it to the helicopter pilot. You don't have to worry about the matter," George told them.

That reassured them a little.

Chapter 118: Another Capture

Remi and Bahrakatan sighed in exhaustion. They had traveled for a few days. They had a bit of water to drink and managed to get something to eat. Still, it wasn't as much as their bodies needed.

"Good thing you know how to take care of yourself Remi. I'm… not that great outdoors," the Kha'rall admitted with a bit of shame, "I didn't take that part of the training seriously."

"Yeah. Still, we aren't starving," the teenager played with his fingers nervously. He gazed at the side, "Still, are you holding up? You didn't eat that much. I don't see change, but you get tired quicker now."

The Coralsmith gazed at the side. He didn't want to admit weakness in front of the humans, but he did feel weak. He couldn't lie about it, "Yeah. Less energy. Still more than you Remi. Didn't really sleep too. You humans are weaker than us," he sat down, "I need more water than you, but there is so little left."

"We can go by the river, it's not that far."

"Never sure if the others will try checking for us here," he gazed at the sky. "At least, it seems like it's going to rain soon."

"You are going to try and drink that? Do you even have a mouth?" Remi curiously asked. He never took a good look at the face of the creature.

Bahrakatan grumbled a few things, before he answered, "Yes. You didn't try to look at my face. I'll admit it's not that easy to see my mouth. I don't see it myself in my reflection," he raised his head and showed his sharp mouth. It looked kinda creepy, "Anyway. I need to drink and get some of my strength back. If I lose too much, I'll be in your way."

"How can you be in my way?" The teenager asked in disbelief.

"Anyway, we need to keep moving right now," the M'arrillian continued to march forward, followed by the human.

It wasn't long before they heard a loud sound. The two raised their heads and noticed a few helicopters coming in their directions.

"More of those weird flying battlegear," Bahrakatan commented. He wondered who was coming in their direction. He searched for a place to hide.

"I think they saw us. They are coming right here," he pointed at them.

The Coralsmith didn't like that, "Are those sent by the others?"

"No. Didn't see any of those kinds of helicopters before. I… I think they are from the military."

Bahrakatan watched those coming, "Anything to prevent them from attacking us. I can guess why they are here."

"Raise your hands like me," Remi suggested.

The M'arrillian knew his pincer was included in this. He lifted them and waited for the humans to land.

From the air, the pilots and the creatures watched the large Kha'rall raising his arm and pincer in the air. Five helicopters were in the sky, so they could support the weight of the creatures and their future prisoner.

Ario frowned, "There is something wrong here. The M'arrillian wouldn't surrender like that. Are you sure there is no one else around?"

"Yes. The satellites revealed that it's only this creature and a human with him," the pilot replied. He then said to the others, "Confirming visuals. Bahrakatan and a human by his side. They both raised their hands in the air."

"They surrendered?" The superior back at the base asked surprised.

"Yes. I can confirm that. We are landing and capturing Bahrakatan immediately."

"Keep us in touch. We will call if reinforcements show up."

The pilot told the creatures, "Prepare for landing."

The creatures waited for the helicopter to touch the ground before they jumped off and faced the M'arrillian and the boy.

Intress ordered, "You better not try anything or we won't hesitate to fight you!"

Bahrakatan gazed at the boy, "I'll do as they say, just stay away from me."

Remi gazed at the creatures in surprise. He didn't know the other tribes were also here. Still, he did as the creature said and took a few steps to the side.

The eight creatures wondered what was going on, but now wasn't the time for questions. They also didn't sense any fighting will from the Kha'rall for some reason.

Odu-Bathax raised his hand and pointed it at the creature, "You will put your hands on your back and we will restrain you."

"Good," he did as order.

The confusion was higher in the mind of the creatures. Even the pilots in the helicopter wondered why this was going that smoothly. They first suspected that they were in reconnaissance, with a human under mind control. This wasn't the case. It was obvious that the human wasn't under any control.

Remi watched the creatures who brought some rope to restrain Bahrakatan. He didn't know if he should say something or not. He just observed from a safe distance.

(Let me handle this. Don't say anything please,) the M'arrillian asked. He gazed at the boy, (If they bring you to safety, it will be for the best. Whatever is coming for me, I deserve it for what I have done before I came to the Cothica,) he let out a quiet sigh as he turned his attention back to the creatures who approached him, "I will tell everything I know, if you help the human here."

Rothar suspiciously glared at the creature, "You are going to just surrender like that? You don't even think to put up a fight?" He grumbled with a bit of boredom in his voice, "And I thought we had something exciting."

Agitos raised his hand, "Don't push him. If we can avoid a fight, we can bring him to the base before reinforcements come."

Arias cracked his knuckles, "I wanted to break some shells today."

Gathup was still in his fighting stance, "He might try a surprise attack."

"I have no reason to try something that foolish. I am alone and no reinforcements are coming for me. They don't even know I am gone from the city. I will admit, I didn't expect you to know we were here."

The creatures didn't answer the how.

Intress knew the M'arrillian had no intention of fighting. The stance of the crab-like creature was relaxed. She didn't notice the pincer tense at the prospect of a battle, "We will restrain you know and you will answer our questions later."

"And the human?" The Coralsmith asked.

"He will come with us," she replied.

The other creatures didn't disagree.

Wamma sighed and muttered to himself, "Good. We didn't have to fight. I wasn't feeling ready for a battle."

Odu-Bathax heard that. He decided to wait to be back at the base and reward that remark with extra training. It was surely something the other Danian would resent him for. He didn't care about that though.

The creatures approached Bahrakatan and they restrained him with vines coming from their attacks. The creatures who couldn't do that simply watched and were ready to act at any suspicious action from the other creature. Once they were done, they ordered him to walk towards one of the helicopters.

"I can't believe he doesn't have any will to fight us," Ario commented. He scratched his chin, "From what I heard about Bahrakatan, he was a loyal smith for Aa'une."

"Something between there and now happened. He is the one who built their portal to Chaotic, and led them to the Cothica," Agitos grumbled.

Remi didn't hear that part. He wasn't surprised that the M'arrillian was loyal to Aa'une, but as for the rest, he had no idea. He didn't dare to say anything.

"Come with us," Intress was near the boy.

"O-okay," he took a deep breath, "The name is Remi. Don't hurt Bahrakatan. He saved me from the M'arrillians in Summervale."

The Overworlder didn't reply to that. She gazed at the M'arrillian, "We leave right now. Come," she repeated.

Remi nodded and followed them. He climbed onto the helicopter as it flew back towards the military base. The teenager had many questions in his mind. He couldn't ask the creatures and the human pilot was busy. He also sat too far from the pilot. He sighed and held back his questions for later. Maybe he would get a few answers when he reached the base.

He noticed the helicopter did a detour, to pass far from Summervale. He knew it was to avoid the M'arrillians, even if their minds were protected. He saw those when he tried to get a few scans during the M'arrillian invasion. Those were old memories.

Tom and his friends were with their families and waited for the creatures to return back to the base. They wondered what was going on. They didn't hear anything. They weren't with the superiors in the military this time.

Tom crossed his arms, "I wonder if they managed to capture the M'arrillian. If we heard nothing, it might be okay."

"Or bad," Kaz replied.

George walked towards them, "Everything is fine. The M'arrillian didn't fight back and surrendered instead. The real question is why he did that. Anyway, there is no need to be worried."

Tom's mother asked, "What about the human with him? Is he okay? Did he try to use him for anything?"

Her husband replied, "No. He wasn't under his control, from what the initial report tells us. Anyway, you should stay here until everything settles down. Bahrakatan will be brought with Aval'par."

"Bahrakatan?" The four humans wondered. They had never heard of that M'arrillian.

The parents tried to ask more questions and the only answer they got from George was, "No. The M'arrillian won't get anywhere near your children and the teenager will be brought to you once they are here."

After this, they could only wait. George left when he heard that the helicopters were approaching.
