Hey guys! Sorry for the wait, work and a problem with a hacker that basically stole one of my emails (one mostly dedicated to games luckily) delayed the chapter a little bit, but everything is alright now. About the pacing of the chapters...I would like to publish one every two weeks on Sunday / Monday (depending on where you live), but there will be times where it won't be possible...But that will be the intent.

It's amazing the number of reviews the story received, I'm very happy with it, I feel kinda bad not answering those who don't have questions, but I don't want to inflate the word number by over-explaining while answering reviews...although I did in this chapter...Anyway, just know that even if I don't explicitly answer you, I still have read you.

Now with reviews/doubts:

A crashclown: You did a really long review (which I'm happy about) but I'll have to respond briefly. Shirou didn't really have any other chance, the situation was bad and Raul showed aggression towards him, even Shirou is not so reckless as to fight three people much stronger than him at the same time. You're right in the average stats one would level up with, but again, Lily has trashy stats and as a level 2 she can do a high jump (not parkour) ridiculously high. Another example is Haruhime jumping from a roof to the street, she doesn't have the skill to deviate the force of the impact, she just tanks it even when her stats are low. That info is literally from the novels, if anything the anime downplays them, I'm not buffing them.

Cookie-4IS: Yes, she was referring to Aiz.

Dyslexic Write: I'm kind of honored that someone with so many good stories would leave a review...so thanks I guess...About your review, the power is accumulative and it doesn't reset as you think, after leveling up it is harder to gain excelia as you need a higher quality excelia to fill the "container". If it worked as you think a level 1 could beat a lvl 6 who just reset, which would be crazy. In the Sword Oratoria manga, there's a brief but good explanation of how it works.

RedBurningDragon: I read the original VN (the source I'll try to use, not realta nua or anime) fight against Gilgamesh (which is UBW Shirou peak), Shirou mentions that while he can project weapons one after another, he can't do it simultaneously yet, because his circuits aren't used to it. Although, having said that, that's before a "realization" he has about a misconception he had when projecting, so maybe after that he could be able, it is never mentioned though. Kanshou and Bakuya could be an exception, but I would probably have to search the fight against Kuzuki to read it specifically. The reinforcement part would actually hinder his growth if overused, the reason is explained in the chap. If I have time, there will be an omake about that (cooking).

Eternal Escapist: The Kuzuki situation is not so much a display of strength and agility (that admittedly he has thanks to caster) but of skill and unpredictability, he overwhelms saber with attacks at so close range that she can't create distance and is pulled off balance. If she could have created it, Kuzuki would go down in one hit from Saber, reinforcement from Caster or not. I did not say he took three seconds (or at least I think I didn't explicitly said he took all the three seconds to do it) but that projected them when there were three seconds left, projecting both of them was less than a second and the other two were actually getting into posture and ready. There is a problem with his reinforcement right now, but will be explained in the next chapter.

Devine Aurora: Archer was at a 10% of his strength, so between two to three times the average strength of a man.

enumeaelish666: Yeah she doesn't know. I know it's strong, but in this case, I think it's people underestimating adventurers rather than me nerfing Shirou.

sambidiah: Yeah no, Shirou right now is not stronger than people who can lift literal tons over their heads, just no.

Tordmund: It's still there, but as an object (even if it's not material right now) it won't be registered by the falna, don't forget Shirou can pull it out any given time, it's inside him, but not part of him. He will have the classics, yes and he will probably make new ones. Interesting fact, in VN it isn't mentioned that Shirou Rho Aias has fewer barriers, so it's actually at full strength.

Okay, now addressing the power levels can of worms...I said they were physically comparable to Servants, but that's all. Even when paired with lower-tier servants most high-ranking adventurers will lose, badly. The difference in power that Fate skills and Np create is even jokable when compared to Danmachi ones. Danmachi will never have a spear that reverses causality to pierce the heart of the enemy or a technique that literally shreds fucking space/karma, etc...And as one put it on the reviews...laughs in Vasavi Shakti...So yeah, the only aspect they can match a Servant is in raw stats and in some extremely rare cases, fighting skills. Having said that, give them some credit. These guys are the equivalent of high tier Heroic Spirits for their world, yeah they can physically be stronger than some servants, even really strong ones...so what?...things like arjuna alter, sakura five, a lot of divine spirits, and servants who have EX parameters exist, and adventurers will not reach that level, is out of their league. So yeah, let them be, you don't have to underpower them...And this is the last chapter in which I will speak of Fate-Danmachi power levels, if you want to know them just read the story, it's not like Servants will appear anyways. And yeah...About Shirou / Servants "sonic booms" I will leave a detailed explanation at the end, I don't want whoever enters the chapter to have 2000 words of author note before the chap...

Twilight Manor

Shirou was looking at the plate in front of him, the food itself was not bad...but in comparison to what he was used to, it felt lacking. That didn't mean he would not eat it, he wasn't that ungrateful, but he was left with a strange sensation. 'I can do better'

"Something wrong?" Loki asked him. She sat near him and would do so for at least a week until he learned all the basic knowledge he should have in order to not blow up his cover.

When they were talking yesterday she told him that he would need an origin, as they didn't want someone to uncover their secret with just some basic questions. So she made him explain in more or less detail the customs of his original country so that they could start his cover by saying he was from the country with the nearest customs to his original home.

After some back and forth, the cover was completed. He was from the Far East, a country with similar customs to Japan. He was an orphan who lost his parents due to war and was later adopted by an old traveler, who died not long ago from old age.

He took jobs to make enough money to pay the travel towards Orario, and during his travels, he discovered his magic when the caravan he was part of was attacked by monsters. He would train his magic and swordsmanship at night so that he would be able to become a proper adventurer in the future.

Once he set foot on Orario, he went to Loki Familia Headquarters, as they were the most powerful Familia in the city, and asked for a chance to prove himself. After successfully passing their test, he became a member of Loki Familia.

The ending was obviously fake, but Loki said to the members of the expedition who knew how Shirou truly arrived at Orario to hold the secret and never mention it again, as it was a deeply personal matter for him and a recent scar.

Shirou felt a little conflicted on how his cover was actually so similar to what happened in his original world but abstained from saying anything. At least, it would make it easier to remember and maintain as a cover.

As Loki was reminiscing the conversation they held yesterday, she was unaware of how Shirou, unknown even to himself, was subconsciously starting to plot in taking Loki Familia's kitchen for himself.

'I should ask someone where the market is. I'm not gonna be able to cook anything without proper ingredients'

"Shirou are you listening to me?" He raised his head to see Loki watching him expectantly.

"Uh, yes!"

"What did I say?" His embarrassed face was more than a sufficient response.

"Ha. I said you'll go with Finn, Riviera, and Gareth to the Guild so you can register as an adventurer, normally the Guild would ask the God for confirmation or use a status thief if the status is locked to prove its veracity, but there should be no problem whatsoever if the captain itself confirms it. So finish that meal and get ready, you'll probably go in little time"

Shirou nodded and proceeded to eat the food, before standing up and going towards the backyard. As Loki watched him go, she thought 'Man I really have to teach him how to lie, he has a horrible poker face. Even if my divine sense doesn't trigger when he lies, if he makes it so obvious he will get caught anyways. It's too good of a "skill" to not take advantage of it from time to time'

She stopped her train of thoughts when she realized something 'Wait? Did I tell him he can lie to deities without them instinctively knowing? No, I think I did not. I noticed after the first question but I wasn't gonna tell him under those circumstances. Ugh, I will have to tell him, I really don't want him to spill the beans when asked by a God because he thinks they'll know if he lies. Now, how should I "train" him?'

Meanwhile, Shirou entered the backyard where some members of Loki Familia were preparing themselves to do their respective after expedition chores. They would leave the manor as a group and would slowly separate when passing nearby the location they had to visit.

Some wore normal clothing, expecting a day off after the expedition, meanwhile, others were fully prepared to delve into the dungeon after they completed their tasks. Shirou himself didn't have anything to prepare, he had taken a shower and put on yesterday's clothes.

He didn't like the idea but until he got to buy some clothes for himself in the afternoon, accompanied by Tiona for Loki's request, this was all he had to work with. He'll make sure to thoughtfully wash the shirt before returning it to Raul.

After a few minutes Finn, Riviera, and Gareth appeared from within the building and positioned themselves in front of the group. Finn gave a brief speech of the whereabouts everyone had to accomplish and proceeded to lead the group once finished.

Just as they passed through the door of the manor, Finn looked at the guards and smiled "You will be there for the next two weeks, maybe then you'll learn the importance of not slacking off while doing guard, even more doing so while in the dungeon" The two guys, who Shirou vaguely remembered from seeing them in the camp, looked horrified but could only nod, needless to say, the smile that Finn had in his face wasn't a kind one.

After a few moments of walking, Shirou passed from within the tail of the group to the head by Finn's demand, so he could explain to him the basics about the Dungeon, seeing as he was going to be registered as an adventurer. He talked mostly about the Dungeon itself and its monsters as well as their basic behavior, but he also mentioned how an adventurer could approach some of the different dangers the Dungeon could throw at them.

That said, seeing that he was going to register now, he also talked about the magic stones exchange and the functions of the Guild. Shirou was so entranced, paying attention that he didn't notice that all the group had already separated from them by the time they reached the Guild.

Shirou slowly glanced up until he saw the roof of the building. The tower had left him speechless but the Guild wasn't less impressive in its own architecture, it was the most similar thing he had seen, and probably would, to ancient greek architecture. Although, having into account that deities freely roamed around like it was normal, he should prepare himself for this type of surprise.

The group, formed by Finn, Riviera, Gareth, and Shirou entered the Guild, the latter keeping a little distance as he watched how the transaction, the exchange of magic stones and drop items, developed.

After some minutes, as there was quite a bunch of stuff to count, the Guild employee spoke to Finn, but he just nodded and came towards him. Maybe seeing his raised eyebrow was enough to understand the doubt the interaction generated.

"When it's big quantities, more than someone could usually transport, the Guild itself brings the money to the manor. For this kind of transaction, we use the Familia's emblem" He still had some doubts, but he could ask later so he just nodded and followed Finn when he said it was time for him to register.

Registering was surprisingly fast, but taking in account what Finn told him, a lot of people came to Orario to become an adventurer, so the process needed to be agile.

Having said that, it was still rather uncomfortable for him. The elf girl that attended him was quite cute, maybe because of that it was even more embarrassing to admit he was, even if it wasn't technically his fault, illiterate. The sigh that escaped her mouth as she asked his info to write it herself hurt a bit.

Not even a quarter of an hour later, he was again at the hall, holding the adventurer starting pack given to him by the Guild. Normally the Guild would make a loan for new adventurers so they could actually start making money in order to repay them, and later gain their own money, but that was not the case as he paid with money that Loki had given him.

At first 20.000 Valis seemed like a lot, but taking into account what the Guild charged for the equipment, as its quality wasn't that...outstanding, probably wasn't that much money for an adventurer.

Finn, who was now alone, snapped him out of his mind "Riveria and Gareth already went to do other things, seeing as you are new at being an adventurer I should probably take you home to teach you about the Dungeon in more detail, but you will probably be able to manage by your own, you're more than a capable fighter after all. So you can take a walk around the city or go to the Dungeon, just come back to the manor before lunch"

If someone else heard Finn right now, they would look at him like he was crazy. Yeah, it was pretty common for newbies to go to the dungeon underprepared, just to return bruised after facing some of its hardships, but to actively encourage it was another thing.

Right now, Finn was not talking to a level 1, but someone that without even having a Falna was capable of winning against a level 2. In Finn's mind, Shirou earned an amount of respect similar to the one he had for Gareth when he first knew him, and was rooting for his improvement and growth.

"I think I'll go to the Dungeon then"

"Okay then, just be aware of time, it is easy for someone to lose the grasp of it while in the dungeon" Shirou nodded and they parted ways, one returning to the manor and the other going to the Dungeon.

It was only when he was in front of the corridor that granted access to the first floor, and struggled to put on the light leather breastplate issued by the Guild, that he wished the thought of asking Finn to help him put it would have appeared in his mind. Certainly, it was more convenient for the armor to just appear around him…

After a little more struggle, he finally was able to put it correctly. At the right side of his waist belt were both a short sword and a dagger. Apparently, the dagger was for taking off the magic stones rather than fighting and could break easily if misused. He would have rejected both of the blades, after all, he already had plenty of those, but the look in the face of the Guild employee, as if daring to say something, made him stay quiet and not try to fight an already lost battle.

At the left part of his waist belt was a pouch to put the magic stones he collected, as well as a space dedicated to putting potions, though he didn't have any right now. Thinking about it now, even if he knew that the first floors wouldn't represent a danger to him, that was still a little bit careless…

Finally, he wore a backpack. The employee told him that was for essential dungeon resources such as bringing rations, healing items, and other necessities, but as he didn't have any of those yet, the only thing filling it was the pouch of money Loki gave to him.

After taking a breath, he entered the first floor. The walls had a green color that emitted light, just as they did a day ago and the air had some sort of tension he didn't feel at the entrance, distant sound of battle could be heard even from here.

He walked through the Dungeon, searching for monsters, his hands prepared to hold his favored sword at any moment. It didn't take long for him to encounter some of them. Standing in front of him were three kobolds, a bipedal dog-headed monster with thick fur.

They hadn't noticed him yet, but as he saw one sniff the air, he knew that it wasn't the case anymore. Normally he would bring his swords and fight them head-on, but the tips and warnings that Finn gave him in their way to the Guild made him think otherwise, in the Dungeon you wanted to conserve as much stamina as possible.

So instead of a sword, a yumi appeared on his left hand while an arrow appeared on his right. The seven steps of kyudo, the Japanese way of archery, were subconsciously done and the drawn arrow was shot, instantly piercing the skull of the first kobold. The other two, now fully aware of his presence rushed towards him.

To start the distance wasn't that much, so meanwhile, another kobold was killed with a shot between its eyes the other reached his position. A step forward and a little inclination were enough not only to evade the incoming claw that searched for his head but to give him a good position to punch the kobold's chest with his now free right hand.

The kobold unwantedly stepped backward because of the strength of the punch and before being able to retaliate an arrow pierced his skull, completely crossing through it and colliding with the walls, where it broke.

Despite having dispatched the group of kobolds with absolute ease, Shirou had a frowning face. Yumi's are bows that pack a heavy punch, as they are designed to pierce armor, but they weren't designed to be rapidly and continuously drawn, in a situation with multiple enemies that weren't individually strong, but had numbers, it was a bad bow to use.

Facing this, Shirou understood why Archer used a western bow as it was better to deal with this kind of situation where rapid-fire was a priority rather than raw power. Having said that, projecting Archer's bow would be futile right now as he didn't have the strength to actually pull the bowstring without reinforcing himself.

Deciding that he would later practice with western bows, Shirou took the dagger on his waist and pierced the first kobold chest, he was left dumbfounded when the only thing that remained after stabbing it was ashes. 'Okay, better stab around the center and not the center itself'

After his embarrassing first experience, Shirou extracted the other magic stones with more care, getting two magic stones the size of a fingernail. He put them in the pouch and started to search for monsters once again, cutting them off with Kanshou and Bakuya when he found some, noticing that his blows were faster and stronger after receiving a Falna.

As he once again started to collect magic stones, he thought about his situation.

He obviously needed clothes and other basic necessities, but apart from that and repaying Loki, he didn't have much of a need for money right now, if anything the only reason why he would keep collecting the magic stones in a previsible future after repaying his debt, was because Finn told him that other monsters would eat the magic stones of dead ones, strengthening them and becoming a real danger for a lot of adventurers. The thought of him being the reason why an innocent human being died was unbearable.

The next hours passed like a blur, search monsters kill them, and collect their magic stones, he would from time to time meet other adventurers only to exchange nods and follow their own way. When he couldn't find more monsters he would search for the stairs to a lower floor and descend to continue his hunt. That was why right now, he was on the 4th floor collecting the magic stone of a dungeon lizard. He noticed that while still kobolds and goblins when they appeared on lower floors their magic stone was slightly bigger, although if there was an actual difference in strength, he couldn't appreciate it.

He stood up, deciding to leave the dungeon for today. Meanwhile, it was difficult to actually perceive time here, he was quite attuned to his internal clock, as he used to maintain a steady routine and even if he couldn't tell the time exactly, it probably wasn't that far from being lunchtime.

A sigh left his mouth as cracking sounds, more that he heard together until now, came from the walls in his surroundings. The quantity was much more than he'd seen before, maybe because he was relatively far from other adventurers, and the number was near twenty.

Finn had warned him that entering the Dungeon was a worn-out battle. The Dungeon had infinite resources in comparison to him, and overstaying in the dungeon could be the death of one. As if the Dungeon could feel when their prey was weak, it would wait until the perfect moment to overwhelm him. This was one of its tricks, a monster party.

He took a glance at his surroundings, which were rapidly being filled with spawning monsters, and ran towards the direction with fewer monsters on it, Kanshou and Bakuya already on his hands. The two monsters standing in front of him, a kobold and a goblin, didn't have a chance to attack as their heads flew off their bodies by the boomerang-like swords that he threw at them.

Without looking behind he rolled forward, evading a kobold that tried to jump on top of him, a short bow appearing in his left hand as fast as the roll ended. That same kobold received an arrow to its eye, instantly killing him and the two immediately at his back met the same fate.

Even before the kobolds' corpses reached the ground four goblins were already rushing him. Compared to the kobolds, goblins were clearly weaker in nearly all senses, their only redeeming quality being that they were slightly better than kobolds at running.

The first two didn't even reach him, meeting the same fate as their comrades from another race, the third dashed towards him, claws and teeth ready only to meet with a foot that broke its neck. The last one tried to flank him and attack his back, only to meet with the hard edge of the bow. The blow broke both the bow and the goblin skull.

In less than 20 seconds, half of the monster party was dealt with. As Kanshou and Bakuya appeared in his hands, Shirou advanced towards the monsters, not needing to retreat anymore to not be overwhelmed by its numbers. Two pairs of Kanshou and Bakuya later, all the monsters were dead. A situation that would easily kill most adventurers of his level was casually dealt off without receiving a single injury.

Seeing the slaughter he committed, Shirou sighed as now he had to retrieve the magic stones of these monsters to not cause further problems. After getting all the magic stones, a pair of drop items, and losing himself a pair of times trying to return to the surface, Shirou finally left the Dungeon.

Coming out of Babel for the first time after staying in the Dungeon for hours was an uncomfortable experience that every adventurer remembered, their eyes always needed a moment after getting hit by the sun rays after staying so long underground and that was exactly what Shirou was experiencing right now.

'I didn't think about this, why do they take so long on getting used to sunlight again? It has dark zones but it is mostly illuminated, even if it's thin light…'

After giving himself a moment, Shirou tried to reorientate and walked towards the Guild, wanting to exchange the magic stones he collected. After a few mishaps and wrong turns he finally reached the Guild, only to see Raul standing beside the entrance, looking at the sky with a bored face.

"Raul?" The guy, maybe not expecting someone to actually call him, nearly jumped out of his place but calmed himself after seeing him.

"Damn, you surprised me" Silence followed his words, the situation rapidly turning awkward as neither knew what to say.

"Uhm, well I'll go to exchange the magic stones, see you at home" Seeing that he went to the entrance, Raul followed him until he was walking at the same pace as him, by his side.

"Actually, Finn sent me to accompany you to the manor, he said that you weren't taking too much attention to the roads and that you may lose yourself…" He nodded, a little embarrassed, he was dedicating so much attention to what Finn was saying that he just followed them without truly looking for which streets they were passing by.

" Sorry, were you waiting for long?" The look of pain on his face told him more than words would. They got in line for the exchanging of magic stones, luckily the queue advanced at quite the fast pace and after only a couple of minutes he was in front, although separated by glass, of the same elf girl who made his registration as an adventurer. The disgusted grin she made when seeing him was less than pleasant.

After a harsh "Please put the magic stones in the box" and doing so, the elf, Sophie if he wasn't mistaken, started to count their value. Not even after a minute, she was glancing at him with intensity.

"You're telling me that you did all this, without help, in less than 4 hours?" The tone of disbelief was impossible not to notice, even for him, so he just nodded, internally thinking what was the big deal.

She sighed and glanced at him from toes to head, before simply putting the money on the counter, announcing that it was the sum of 10.420 valis and wishing him a good day.

He took the money and turned around just to see Raul looking at him with a strange look, murmuring something along the lines of "another one of them, ha…" before starting to walk towards the exit.

"Did I do something bad?"

"It's not that specifically, but having in account that you just started today, those glances were more than justified. A normal party of level 1 adventurers does like 25.000 valis a day and that's while being between 3 to 5 people, they have to distribute the money afterward. But you, on your own, did more than most veteran level 1 do a day, with only 4 hours and on your first day, if that's not impressive I don't know what is."

The only response he could give to that explanation was a weak "Is that so?" As they left the Guild and started to walk towards Twilight Manor. The awkward silence returned, as neither of them didn't know what to talk about. Shirou could see that Raul was throwing glances at him and making strange faces and more than one time seemed as if he was going to say something only to remain silent.

After a few minutes of walking towards the manor with that same awkward atmosphere, Raul seemed to gather the courage to speak.

"Shirou" His voice started clear and strong but got weaker as he continued talking "I'm sorry for what happened in the Dungeon. I treated you with extreme suspicion as if you were some kind of criminal, it was out of place so I wanted to apologize"

"Don't worry, I don't blame you. I don't exactly know what made you react like that but I assume you had your reasons for it" Raul nodded rather shyly and started to tell him his initial suspicions, Shirou was quite displeased to know that the situation between different Familias could reach that point when they supposedly shared the same objective.

"Also, I wasn't sure how to tell you but...Why are you going like that?" Shirou raised an eyebrow and took a moment to look at himself, what he saw was less than pleasant. Despite not being hurt once, his armor and shirt were full of dust, ashes, and blood from the monsters he had slain and his hands, full of blood too, seemed sticky from that same blood. The final nail in the coffin was driven when Raul said "You know there are showers of public use in Babel, right?"

Now that look in Sophie's face had a lot more sense...And he realized he had also completely soaked Raul's shirt and his own pants with blood. For anyone looking at the pair, they would see a redhead constantly apologizing meanwhile the other tried to dismiss them as it wasn't a big deal.

After some back and forth, the two of them arrived at the manor, with some time before the Familia lunch. Shirou went to take a bath to clean all the dirtiness, luckily Raul was kind enough to lend him more clothes so he could change and clean his previous ones.

And so here he was in the bedroom Loki gave him, not knowing what to do until lunchtime. He thought of going to help in the kitchen but that would probably disturb the people that we're already cooking. After some thought, he decided that he could make time training his magecraft but someone knocked on the door before he could actually start.

He opened the door just to see Loki, who looked at him with a grin.

"Went well in the Dungeon?" And without asking permission she entered the room. He would normally think that someone acting like that was rude, but she is the owner of the house and a Goddess so maybe that conduct was normal in this world for someone in her position.

"I guess so, I didn't receive any injury and Raul told me that I did more than someone on my level normally do" He saw Loki take a seat on the bed and gently tap the spot at her side.

Understanding what she wanted to do, he sat with his back towards her and took off his shirt. With a simple murmur of his aria, a dagger appeared on top of the bed and Loki took it to make a small cut on her index finger.

He shuddered a little when the finger traced his back but didn't say anything meanwhile Loki updated his status.

"Hey Shirou, you did say you made more than adventurers of your level would normally do, no? How much did you make?"

"A little bit more than 10.000 Valis" He felt how the finger stopped before resuming in tracing his back.

"I see, that is quite a lot indeed. Till which floor did you go?"

"I think it was the 4th floor" He sensed the finger slowing down but it didn't stop this time. His words were slowly becoming tenser as he was starting to feel uncomfortable. Was an update slower than granting the Falna? Certainly, Loki had been taking a lot more time fidgeting with it than yesterday. Unknown to him, Loki's finger was on autopilot meanwhile she was looking at his stats as if trying to solve a puzzle.

"Hmm, so that is the case...Tell me did you use those same swords you used yesterday or did you use something more?"

"I did use bow and arrow from time to time, but most of my time down there was with my swords"

"I see, so that was the cause. Let me tell you your status"

Name: Emiya Shirou

Level 1

Strength : I 0 - I 6

Endurance : I 0 - I 2

Dexterity : I 0 - I 7

Agility : I 0 - I 23

Magic : I 0 - I 26

"That is the increase of your stats, your skills and magic are still the same"

"I see, so it is a good improvement?"

"The period after receiving a Falna is like a growth spurt that stays for a pair of days, as nearly all experiences involving the Dungeon are new, the excelia one receives is abundant as well. After a pair or days when these experiences start to become part of a routine, the pace at which you gain excelia often slows down"

"So to ask your answer, for a normal adventurer it would be a really good pacing in Strength and Dexterity, while endurance would be kinda bad, but I guess that you just didn't get hit so it would be difficult to increase it and agility and magic would be ridiculous if not outright impossible" Her words were positive, but somehow he was expecting…

"But" There it was "For someone with your skill, that accelerates your excelia gain rate, is strange that your strength and dexterity stayed on what a normal adventurer could get, so if anything, you actually gained less than most adventurers would in their first day"

Maybe because of his face of surprise and even a little bit of guilt for underperforming, she rapidly added "But it's not your fault, or to be concrete is more about your equipment than you" His face became one of confusion and seeing that he was no more doing a pained expression, she continued.

"The thing is...your swords are too good. Even with one look, I could tell they were easily on the level or even surpassing most of the weapons first-rate adventurers would use. So your problem right now is that having a blade of such quality denies you the experience that you would otherwise obtain from having to use a weapon that didn't cut the enemies like butter. The more struggle there is, the more excelia you will gain. If you have weapons that are far from the level of monster you are fighting, you will earn only a little part of what you would normally receive for that kill"

"So, you did well, but in order to not hinder your own growth, please leave those weapons to emergency situations"

A slow nod was the only answer she received and even when they went to the dining room to have lunch, Shirou remained mostly silent and with a pensive expression.

It was a strange sensation for him, it wasn't even three weeks ago that he saw for the first time those blades so he shouldn't be attached to them, or not to this point. But the fascination he felt when he first saw them was undeniable and it didn't go down over time, even among the uncountable amount of blades inside his Reality Marble, Kanshou and Bakuya held a special place in his heart.

That said, he would not use them if that was needed in order for him to grow further and accomplish his objective, but he still had a mild feeling of dissatisfaction.

Finally snapping out of his thoughts, he noticed that nearly everyone already finished their meal, meanwhile, his was still half-eaten. He finished it and after washing the plate, went to the backyard.

He couldn't go on a stroll, he had to go shopping with Tiona in the evening. However, he could as well seize the time and do some archery practice. Luckily, there were a pair of targets in the garden and he didn't have to go and find one himself.

A recurve bow appeared on his hand and a quiver full of arrows on his waist belt. He left a sight as he nocked the first arrow in the bowstring, drawing it near to its limit and shot it, even before the first arrow landed his hand was already reaching for the second, the process repeating itself until the quiver, which had around 20 arrows, was empty.

He felt a gaze but he ignored it as he was evaluating his shots. None missed, that was a given with a static objective for him, there were two that went a little to the right, but all the other arrows landed in the center or its surroundings, in order to not hit the other arrows and subsequently destroy them. Overall, anyone who looked at it would feel amazed, but to Shirou…

'Too slow' After all, he had to not only be precise but be able to kill all the monsters before they had an actual chance of getting near, for this purpose three elements, potency, velocity, and accuracy were needed. The first and the last were already achieved, his accuracy was well known back in Homurahara and meanwhile, he did not have personal experience with moving targets, Archer's experiences compensated for it.

Potency was determined by how much he drew the bow, but he accustomed to do it nearly its limits, and he could reinforce both the bow and himself to shoot with even more of it. He had to increase his velocity and in order to do so the motion to get the arrow would only hinder him.

He positioned once again and projected only one arrow in his hand and shot again. This time, when an arrow left his hand he didn't reach for the quiver, instead, he directly projected it on his hand. Once again, he repeated the process until 20 arrows had been shot.

He allowed himself to relax, this time his rate of fire increased by a lot. He felt like he still had ways to go in both the speed of his projections and the speed in which he did the motions, but it was a good practice nevertheless. He continued his practice and despite being capable of continuing for some time, he stopped after no more than a quarter of an hour, after all, he didn't want to get Raul's clothes all sweety. The gaze disappeared after he stopped.

With nothing else to do, he seated in one of the banks, having passed only one day in this world, his head was full of questions and preoccupations that he couldn't easily shake off, but feeling the slight breeze he just closed his eyes and tried to purge his head from all that. Worrying wouldn't help him, instead, he would have to see how he could deal with each of the things troubling him, step by step.

He didn't know how much he stayed there, but he opened his eyes after hearing someone sit by his side. There, in its far from proper clothing, was Tiona, who as him decided to sit and appreciate the breeze for a little.

"So, you're ready for that shopping trip?" She said, without opening her eyes.

"Yes, I really don't want to keep asking Raul for his clothes, it makes me a little uncomfortable"

"Let's go then" And with a small yet energetic jump, she got herself out of the bank and in front of him, offering him a hand with a bright smile.

He took it despite not needing it, and gave her a smile as well, as both of them left the manor together. Minutes after that, Riveria came out to the backyard with a bow in her hand and a quiver in her waist and started shooting at the objective with a little smile and a fire burning in her eyes.

Whoever passed around the backyard for the next hour was either amazed by the accuracy of the elf or astonished by her beautiful expression.

So yeah, that's it. About Shirou being able to lie to Danmachi Gods is because in his universe Gods don't have the "Authority" to discern the lies of humans, or at least not all of them. Shirou being an outsider isn't affected by the authority the Danmachi Gods have over their "children". This will be more explored in the future, but there are differences between Shirou and someone native to Danmachi. Now about those sonic booms and anime adaptations being misleading about power levels...

The problem is the anime adaptation of both series. Danmachi underpowered its characters (in the anime) and fate overpowers them (not always in a physical sense, but the visual effects used give misleading information). For example, Shirou could never create sonic booms (what he does is wind blow if anything) without the body of a servant, the force/compression when reaching that velocity would just blow him up. Shirou can't do 50-meter jumps as he did in UBW anime, that would put him on an actual servant level. For a more accurate fight against Gil, look at the Deen version of the fight (I didn't like the film, but is more accurate to VN in this particular fight)

Fate (mostly anime) can be misleading, they told us that each stat rank is 10 times that same ability for a unit, being the individual unit the same value of an average person a.k.a E-10, D-20, etc...thus why even while Archer was at 10% of his strength he didn't outright kill Shirou in their fight (as he would be only two or three times stronger than him). But they often do things that fairly surpass that level, and as such, from a maths standpoint is misleading.

Ex. Wikipedia says that the speed for an average person running is 15km/h. Let's be a little generous and say that when sprinting, that speed reaches 22km/h. The speed needed to break the sound barrier (and thus generate a sonic boom) is 1238km/h (Mach 1).

Cu's Agility is an A, thus 50 times that of a human. That would be 1100 km/h in comparison to Archer's 660 km/h. Maybe Cu could break that sound barrier in the right conditions (or if the average speed is actually a little higher), but Archer wouldn't be even near. This is why I say that don't take what you see in the anime adaptation as real, as it's mainly done to look cool, not to be 100% accurate.

One of the only accurate sonic booms in the anime is when archer fires caladbolg II, as its speed when shot reaches Mach 10.
