Warnings: fighting, cursing, violence and hate

Erza's POV

Why won't he listen? I've been trying to tell him or at least get him to hear me out the entire time we've been walking but he just-

"Tell me later. We have to meet up with Siegrein now." He repeated like a broken fucking record. He almost sounded sarcastic at this point. Like he knew I had something important to say but he wanted to make me wait to tell him. This isn't good. Siegrein is dangerous. That man is a snake! What am I supposed to do if Jellal finds out!? What would he say? H-he would definitely hate me and... and-

"Hey do you like I'm good looking?" He asked suddenly. I mean how is this even a question? God damn it, yes. You're literally the most handsome man I've ever met in my life. I don't think I dislike a single thing about you. In fact, I'm infatuated. No, that's a strong word. Damn it I'm overthinking.

"Yeah, of course, why do you ask?"

"Because that means you also think Siegrein is good looking, right?" He's kidding right now? I mean I've been having sex with you everyday for the past few months but I guess having a twin can be pretty scary when you're this good looking. I also gave you my virginity, let you do want you want with me and I'd let you step on me— but yes, Siegrein is hot as fuck. And that's okay because if he came up to me and offered me the world while you murdered my family, I would still choose you.

"I mean,... it's different for you guys, right? Since your twins, people think you're exactly the same but for me- I prefer you by a lot. Your personalities are different. Siegrein is more of the flirty, aloof type while you're the overprotective, quiet one who could like-... totally beat someone up, y'know?"

3rd POV

"Oh I get what you mean. You have to admit, though, Erza. I am quite the charmer, wouldn't you say?" The two whipped their heads around to be met with their ultramarine haired enemy. Erza's hair was curled through Siegrein's fingers and feathering lightly against his face. "Y'know I really missed you guys. You have no idea how lonely it is, not having - you around!"

"-Can you stop being an immature child for once and get to the point!?" Jellal yelled at his twin, stepping in front of Erza.

"You don't charm me nor any other person on this planet, Siegrein. You annoy everyone and harass people for fun." Erza rolled her eyes just before he gave her a threatening scowl. Jellal noticed this gesture and glared fiercely at his brother, placing a hand on Erza's arm behind him and instinctively pushing her farther away.

"Right so have you been alright guys?" Siegrein said, crossing his arms.

"So what's so urgent that you'd call my phone?" Jellal grumbled, annoyed from Siegrein's previous interruption.

"Oh Erza, you naive, naive girl. Do you know how betrayed you've been? The love of your life over here has come to use you, did you know?" He bursted into a fit of laughter. Jellal nearly snapped as he watched Erza take step forward and temporarily glance over at him.

"What are you talking about?" She barely whispered, panic boiling over her at Siegrein's words and her love's expression.

"Siegrein, I fucking dare you to continue speaking." Jellal's glare turned in to a full on death stare. His eyes bore into Siegrein's skull so deeply that he felt if his brother spoke another word, he might actually rampage. But still, he kept his emotions under wraps. "If you do I'll fucking kill you." For her. If she did find out from someone other than him, he-

"Erza, Erza~" Siegrein cooed, stepping towards her and hugging her in by her waist. His lips nearly met hers before she had time to react; but he paused. Turning his gaze to Jellal as Erza struggled in his embrace. Jellal was positively fuming to say the least. His hands were clenched so hard that the skin around his knuckles was turning white. His teeth were visibly clenched behind his lips. His eyes shadowed by his hair, spoke a thousand words. Or more like a thousand death threats. One of his feet was stepped out, as he had to stop himself from taking Erza back. He wouldn't with what Siegrein was about to tell her. "How good you smell. Strawberries are my least favorite fruit, sadly." He spoke, his hands moving to different locations and caressing her in ways his brother would.

"Get off of me!!!" She yelled, attempting to pull away the foreign feelings floating on her skin. Siegrein knew. That what he was going to do would piss Jellal off like nothing else. So he lowered his hand to Erza's thigh and slowly rode it up to her ass and underwear. Erza audibly gasped before Jellal wrapped a hand around her forearm and aggressively ripped her away from Siegrein. She was flustered— in a disgusted way, when he looked at her. Jellal, however, wasted no time in knocking his brother to the ground.

"Have it your way, you piece of shit." He was ready. If she was going to hate him, he'd rather be the one to tell her. He spun on his heal and tilted his head, looking down at the redhead already below him.

"What are you talking ab-"

"It was me." He interrupted her, tensing his muscles to surpress the shaking that tried to overcome him.

"What was you... Jellal?" The panic that had temporarily escaped came back with a bang as her eyes hollowed.

"The one who killed Invel. It was me, Erza." Her breathing nearly stopped as time seemed to come to a pause. Even as a joke, this was... too much. Jellal's heart was pounding in his chest. It was time after three years.

"What are you saying... right now, m-my love?" She whispered, placing a hand against his cheek as he clicked his tongue and looked away. Siegrein, from a few feet away, sat on the floor, enjoying the movie playing out in front of him.

"Our first night. I went out to find Invel and shot him in the heart." Erza pulled back her hand, as if taking in the news and took a step back.

"Are you kidding right now?"

"Why would I be kidding about something like this?"

"BECAUSE I WATCHED YOU." He didn't respond. Because he knew she was right. "BECAUSE THE ONLY PERSON I LOOKED AT WAS YOU. THE ONLY PERSON I GAVE MYSELF TO WAS YOU. NOT INVEL, NO ONE. AND I HATED MYSELF FOR LOVING BOTH OF YOU AT THE SAME TIME BUT IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING." she seethed. "Do you... do you know how much I cried when he was gone...? And oh god, I-... I came to you of all people to comfort me. No wonder you acted so strangely until now. This is... the Jellal I met. This is the one I gave myself to."

"Can I please get a word in?"

"Hahahahahaha!!!! Hey, Jellal. Did you know that I swore an oath, signed a contract and promised my life to Phoenix? Natsu told me. He said, 'once you join, you can't leave unless you want to be killed'. And I accepted, I understood. Do you know why?" She began trembling. "It was for you." He knew. Or at least he wasn't surprised. She was addicted to him, frankly. As he was to her. "I wasn't surprised, that day I found you. I knew specifically what time you would be there, I knew what you were going to wear, where you were to sit... I was a stalker, for crying out loud!!!" She ripped her fingers through her hair.

"Why should it matter to you? Isn't he just your abusive ex that died unfortunately? Because that's what he fucking should be."

"BECAUSE I STILL LOVE HIM." she blurted out, watching in disappointment as his facial expression turned to shock and hurt.

"Is that so...?" He mumbled, the light she poured into his irises slipping away once more.

"You,..." she began, not finding the words- or any at all for a few moments. "You've just been a psycho this entire time, right?"

"Right."

"I hate you."

A Few Days Later

"What do you want me to tell you?" Natsu sighed deeply, finally understanding why Jellal and Erza had requested for individuality. He was disappointed, honestly. Yes, Jellal was the one to tell Erza of his past actions but-... he was more disappointed with the fact that his friend waited so long, had to wait for something so drastic to happen in order to tell her. It was a bit cowardly, in his opinion.

"I didn't say I wanted you to tell me anything. I'm just informing you since you were so curious."

"I'm... sorry to hear that, Jellal." It was true. He knew how it felt to lose the one you loved.

"What are you apologizing for? It's not your fault I acted like a child."

"Haha~ in what way?"

"I screwed around with her, kept secrets and encouraged her to leave." Natsu frowned, having had expected a different answer for some reason.

"I understand if you can't do it." Jellal raised an eyebrow, looking up at Natsu from his spot in one of the chairs in the man's office. "Kill Siegrein, I mean." He knew it was a bit much to ask. However, he also knew how much Jellal despised his twin.

"Do you have any poison?" Jellal complained, standing up hesitantly and looking around Natsu's office.

"I have some prussic acid. Aoni left it with me for storage but I don't know what to do with it."

(A/N: better known as hydrogen cyanide. A chemical compound [HCN, deadly when coming in [inhaling]? a lethal amount. Cyanide is known to prevent blood cells from receiving oxygen, basically stops blood from doing its job. Please don't ever get anywhere near this. It's deadly and can easily kill you.)

"Is it enough to count as a lethal dose?" Jellal inquired. If he was going to kill Siegrein, he wanted it to be painful and certain.

"Yeah, it is...Watch yourself with that stuff, Jellal." He said, reaching in a cabinet to pull out a tank of the deadly chemical. He handed it to Jellal cautiously and furrowed his eyebrows. Just before Jellal left the room, Natsu grabbed his shoulder. "Listen Jellal. Don't fucking give in. I know what's going through your brain but don't lose yourself. It'll only hurt you in the end."

With Erza

"He what!?" Juvia yelled, stopping herself from standing to search for Jellal, the one who had betrayed his sister's murderer. To have lied to the one you love for years-... it's a sin, frankly.

"He killed Invel." Erza sighed, thinking she'd have a different reaction. Maybe something like scolding her for getting upset when she had no right. Maybe for telling him that she hated him when she didn't. For saying things she didn't mean and doings things to ruin her life.

"W-well...!" Juvia grunted and dug the palms of her hands into her eyes. She couldn't find what to say. Erza honestly didn't seem upset about it— or at least not as upset as she was expected to be. It was a bit frustrating, especially when she knew damn well how screwed she would be when Jellal found out what she'd done.

"I can't believe I thought it was just a freak convenience for so long. I mean, it not like I'm much better." Juvia's expression almost changed before she caught herself. She didn't want to be on Jellal's side... but it was extremely tempting and her faith in Erza was beginning to dwindle. "I think I expected to feel shittier for longer. But maybe I just-... pity myself." She playing with her fingers, leaning against the brick wall of Phoenix and staring down with tired eyes. "I pity myself for fucking everything up. I could have done something to prevent this, right? Maybe... if I hadn't met him, didn't sleep with him, didn't chase after him. Do you think then Invel would still be alive?"

"Erza, Invel died years ago. You have to adapt to it. You can't keep holding on— not when you have a man willing to do anything for you right there-"

"He killed Invel!!!!" Erza yelled. Juvia sighed.

"Don't yell at me, Bethel. I don't know who you think is trying to console you but it sure as hell isn't either of your boyfriends. Don't get mad at me for your own mistakes."

"I'm not mad, I'm..."

"Well then how do you feel?" Juvia questioned, placing her back against the brick wall behind her again. The evening was fresh and the sun was setting before them. "You can't tell me your happy hearing your boyfriend murdered your ex." She wasn't.

"I'm disappointed in myself and in him. A-and... he's not my boyfriend, he's..."

"Right. A friend with benefits." Juvia rolled her eyes when a sudden light bulb went off.

Jellal only kills when he is ordered to or if it's the only solution. There's no way he would go up to Erza's ex and shoot him up for no reason.

She thought to herself. "Well did he give you a reason?"

"A reason? Um..." she thought for a moment. Though, however much she racked her memory for a sign of a reason. She came up with nothing. Desperately, she searched and double took every word he spoke. But there was nothing. Not a reason. Not a because. Not a why. After another moment of silence, Juvia knew the answer when Erza bit her lip and looked down. "No." She said, a tear slipping down her face. "No, he didn't."
