7:00 AM

It was a cool, autumn morning in the town of Haddonfield. Halloween was 10 days away and everyone was starting to get ready for the upcoming festivities including Isabella Hardy, who was getting ready for school.

"Izzy, breakfast is ready!"

"Ok, mom. Be right there." She said as she got her bag and went downstairs.

Her mom, Anna Hardy, was cooking Breakfast which was Eggs and Pancakes while her father, Thomas Hardy, was getting ready for work.

"Honey, have you seen today's paper?"

"I think it's probably still outside. Izzy, can you be a dear and get the paper?"

"Sure thing, mom." She said as she went to get the paper which sat outside on top of the wet bushes wrapped up in a blue bag. As she was getting the paper, she noticed that someone was watching her by a tree across from her. She shrugged it off as a decoration for Halloween which was coming up in 10 days and went back inside.

"Here you go, dad."

"Thank you, sweetie." He said as Izzy sat down at the table. "It says here that on Halloween night, there will be another memorial for the firefighters who lost their lives back in 2018."

"I feel sorry for their families having to go through them again" Anna said giving him and Izzy their plates.

"What happened to them, if you don't mind me asking, dad?" Izzy asked.

"Well, apparently, those who survived the fire at the Strode house say that someone tried to kill them. Of course, I don't believe that."

"Neither do I, I think that they lost their lives from the smoke after the house collapsed. Now, hurry up and eat, you don't want to be late for school."

"Do they know how the fire started?" Izzy asked as she looked at the paper.

"They say that Laurie Strode, who owned the house, started the fire. I don't know why she would do that. I'll tell you this, she's the town wacko." He said as he looked at the time and got up from his chair.

"Well, I better get going. I also don't want to be late for work."

"Ok, hon. See you later." Anna said as she walked him out to the car. As she did, Izzy's friends, Victor Rivera and Carly Torres, were walking toward them.

"Hey, guys." Izzy said as she walked out of her house toward them.

"Ready to go?" Carly asked.

"Yeah, see you later, mom."

"See you later, honey." She said as she started walking back toward the house.

"So, are you ready for Halloween night, Izzy?"

"Oh, yeah! Halloween is like my favorite holiday ever and I get to spend it with Alex that night."

"Alex?"

"Oh, right. His parents asked me if I could babysit him while they're out at a Halloween party with my parents."

"Wow, let's just hope the boogeyman doesn't get you." Victor said

"There's no such thing as the boogeyman." Carly said.

"Yes, there is and he lives right here." He said as he pointed to The Myers House. "They say that on Halloween, he comes out and kills people. They also say that he killed his sister in 1963."

"Oh, come on, Vic. Michael Myers is dead.

"Oh, really? Then, how do you explain the firefighters deaths last Halloween?"

As Victor and Carly were talking, Izzy looked at The Myers House and as she looked in one of the windows, she saw a figure standing there, watching her.

"What are you looking at, Izzy?" Carly asked.

"Nothing, lets head to school." Izzy said and walked on.

Carly and Victor looked at the window Izzy was looking at and wondered what she saw in The Myers House.

"Hey, wait up!" Carly shouted as she and Victor ran to catch up with Izzy. Inside, the figure that Izzy saw was watching them go by and then backed away back into the shadows.
