I Do Not Own Twilight

"Are you ready for our big date weekends?" Bella asked enthusiastically.

Aro shook his head, "Mine is more of a blind date so I'm not particularly excited." He wasn't lying he was not interested in meeting the Denali Coven at all. He was more nervous about what Bella was going to do on her date. "Besides he already bought you dinner the other night in Port Angeles. You never told me the story of how that evening came to be you know." This greatly annoyed him because he knew she had planned to go shopping with friends and then suddenly Edward bought her dinner but didn't eat anything. He felt it rude to watch someone eat alone and she wouldn't explain the circumstances.

When Bella didn't say anything, he asked quickly, "How is young Edward anyway?" He asked to be polite when what he felt like doing was draining this boy dry.

"Oh," she giggled, "he has been asking me a million questions. What my favorite color, food, music, books, movies, etc. are. It is like he is collecting Bella trivia actually." She smiled still feeling dizzy after being driven home by him after school. "He drives me to and from school now!" She said enthusiastically.

"It seems like he has gotten over whatever prompted his rudeness on your first day." Aro frowned he did not like this Edward boy not one little bit.

Bella's eyes got wide and she sucked in her breath, "Yes, he did," she said solemnly. "He told me all about his affliction. Well, I actually guessed what his problem was. My friend Jake helped me figure it out though."

Aro nodded, "I remember you telling me about Jacob. He helped you figure out this secret? I would have been happy to assist you in figuring something out, Cara mia." Aro pouted slightly thinking Bella shared something with Jake she was unwilling to share with him.

Giggling Bella shook her head, "I didn't tell Jake anything. He told me a story that sparked an idea. That's all. I would tell you Aro but it isn't my secret to tell."

"You shouldn't date a boy with secrets, Cara," annoyed that he couldn't get information from her. Aro shook his head at his thoughts. He didn't want this to bother him so much but it did.

Bella frowned and looked down at her hands. She knew Aro didn't like Edward but she didn't understand why. It wasn't like Aro was interested in her although if he was, she knew she would drop Edward like a hot potato. She always felt drawn to Aro.

"Aro," Bella asked shyly, "what if he doesn't like me." Her insecurities coming to the forefront played on the vampire's cold dead heart. He knew he couldn't keep acting annoyed about this situation or he would hurt this beautiful girl in front of him.

"Isabella, Cara mia, sei la donna piu bell ache abbia mai visto," he whispered softly just loud enough for her to hear causing a blush. "Un uomo sarebbe uno sciocco a mom innamorarsi di te." He said these words with complete conviction, she really was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and a man would have to be a fool to not fall in love with her. Aro knew he was no fool this conversation broke his heart.

The two of them made plans to talk Sunday evening so they could find out how the dates went. When they said their goodbyes Aro was irritated. He was not interested in visiting the Denali's and Eleazar. He went to find his brothers.

He flung himself down on a couch and put his feet up placing his palm on his forehead. Marcus cocked his eyebrow, "What is the matter, brother?"

"I don't know why I agreed to go on a date. I am not interested in the Denali's even if one were to be my mate. They hate us and I find their lifestyle appalling and I am a vampire for goodness sakes."

Caius smirked, "Are you referring to their succubus status or are you referencing their diet."

"All of it. I understand having more then one partner we have long lives it is more that we three might be the only male vampires in existence to have not 'hit that,' as the new modern lingo would say. I am not going. I will just call Eleazar back."

Marcus groaned, "But Aro what if your mate in near them. The pull you feel is leading you in that direction once you are there it will pull you closer to your mate. You could get to the Denali's and the pull would direct you someplace else. Maybe in a different state entirely like Washington or Oregon."

Aro took a deep breath, "Even if I don't meet my mate I could pop in on Isabella. She will only be a few hours away." He thought about the possibility of seeing his young friend, "I could even run there I would be so close." He smiled at the thought of seeing Bella. "Perhaps I could call her Sunday at our appointed time and then run down to meet her for dinner." He sat up and brushed off his suit. "Thank you, gentleman, for you time. I am headed to see my Isabella."

Once Aro was out of hearing distance Caius glared at Marcus, "I thought the plan was to let him figure things out on his own."

"It was but since he was going to cancel his plans, he would be stuck in the castle this weekend. Did you really want to listen to him lament all weekend about Isabella going on a date?"

Caius groaned at the thought.

Aro packed his bags quickly and headed to the jet. He was going to be accompanied by Demetri and Felix. As he was boarding the jet Heidi stopped him and handed him a bag. "It is clothes for clubbing, Master. The Denali ladies enjoy going dancing and I thought you might need an outfit for it, since you are going to date one of them."

Aro frowned but took the bag, "Does everyone in the castle know about this?"

Heidi nodded, "There is a betting pool as to which sister it is and if you will end up giving up and coming home."

Aro shoulders sagged, "Tell everyone this must not leave the castle. Word must not spread about this though out the vampire world."

"Of course, Master." Heidi bowed slightly.

"I mean it. On pain of Jane I swear, I will call her on anyone who spills this secret!"

Heidi "eeped" and ran back to the castle.
