I Do Not Own Twilight

Aro was smirking to himself waiting for the next vampire to come into the throne room. He was feeling a bit anxious because Bella said there was an emergency so he was unable to speak to her yesterday and she had yet to call him back. He glanced once again at his phone on the off chance he had missed her call. Nothing.

The vampire walked up dejectedly. He sagged before the thrones but did not bow or show any other form of respect. Aro grinned deciding if the boy wasn't going to show respect, then he didn't need to either.

He stood up regally and glided to the edge of the dais. He glanced back and saw Caius was already trying to suppress a chuckle. While he hated to listen to rap Caius was very fond of the way Aro used it to confuse the vampires in front of him. He particularly enjoyed the confused expressions Aro received.

Aro stood in front of the man then moved into a slightly crouched position and began, "As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I take a look at my life and realize there's nothin' left, 'cause I've been blastin' and laughin' so long that, even my mama thinks that my mind is gone, but I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it, me be treated like a punk, you know that's unheard of, you better watch how ya talking and where ya walking, or you and your homies might be lined in chalk, I really hate to trip but I gotta loc." He finished by folding his arms roughly and staring at Edward. Then Aro put his head back and laughed in a high-pitched maniacal laugh. He worked hard perfecting the laugh to sound insane and combined with the rapping beforehand he felt he pulled off the feeling successfully.

Behind him Caius and Marcus never moved. Out of the corner of his eye Aro did notice Felix had to step outside. He reached down and grabbed Edward's hand before he could flinch. He didn't know this boy but his name was Edward and he hated that name.

What he saw when he read Edward's memory broke his heart. Aro snapped his fingers, "Hold him. Brother's we must confer." He spun in place and walked quickly out the door, then ran to his study, and collapsed into a chair. His sobs started immediately."

"Brother, what is it?" Caius hissed in panic.

"That is Edward. Isabella's Edward." The two brothers next to him growled.

"Kill him! Kill him!" Caius growled angrily.

Aro sighed, "That is what he wants. He wants us to kill him. It seems Isabella was cliff jumping yesterday. Which I knew about." He nodded gasping for an unneeded breath. "It seems she had an accident and is no more." Aro's head fell into his hands.

"No!" Caius began pacing the room with an angry stomp.

Marcus remained thoughtful, "How is your pull?"

"How can you ask me about a mate when my world has just ended?" Aro scoffed.

"Answer the question, brother. Do you feel a pull?"

Aro growled but paused, "Yes, I still feel it. It hasn't gone away." He spat in answer to Marcus's question.

"I still see the pull which means your mate is still alive," Marcus ignored Aro hiss at the mention of his alive mate. "I wanted you to figure it out on your own but I think you should know your mate is Isabella."

Aro's mouth fell open. "What?"

Marcus chuckled, "Yes, your mating bond is not as strong as it will be because you haven't met her in person. As soon as you meet her you will instinctually be compelled to claim her, bite her, and keep her forever. She is your other half, your soul mate."

Aro rubbed his chest where he felt the pull, "But she is alive because I can feel a pull to her?"

"Yes," Marcus confirmed, "now what to do with Mr. Cullen?"

Aro laughed darkly along with both of his brother's. They had wanted to get a piece of Edward for a while. Unfortunately, once they had all discussed every possibility, they decided it wasn't worth killing the boy to have two large covens angry with them. If the Cullens and Denalis joined the Romanians the Volturi would have problems they didn't want.

They berated Edward for his treatment of his human pet. They scolded him about how to treat a woman. They rebuked him for allowing his gift to run rampant and not controlling it. Then they let him go with a warning.

Aro knew his plans so he sent Demetri and Felix to watch him. Once it was obvious, he wasn't going to leave Volterra and that his plans were to expose himself to the people Demetri and Felix were to pick him up and bring him back. At this point Aro knew he would be free to kill the vampire before him.

In the meantime, Aro tried calling Bella but she wasn't answering her phone. He kept feeling for the pull so he could reassure himself of Bella's safety. It seemed like what he was being pulled to was getting closer but he didn't understand how that could be.

As he sat waiting on Edward, Aro decided he was going to Bella as soon as this was over. Knowing she was his mate made it impossible to stay away. He needed her. He had needed her for a while. He was nothing her and she was the sun, moon, and stars to him.

He then began to wonder what his mate smelled like. He wondered if he would be tempted to drain her dry. He realized she would know what that meant. He was proud of her. She dated a vampire and never once let anything slip. She knew how to keep the secret.

Finally, Aro heard Alec call, "You are so clever sister. You were sent to get one and you come back with two….and a half."

The two vampires followed by one human walked into the room.

Aro took a deep breath to scent the air. There wasn't a mouthwatering smell but a scent so light and airy it reminded Aro of the breeze after the rain in a vineyard. It was the most pleasing scent he had ever smelled. He looked to see who the smell belonged too.

There she was walking beside Edward who had his arm wrapped around her waist. "Ah Edward and Alice too! What a delight. And Isabella is here too isn't that wonderful! Aren't you glad we didn't kill you Edward?"

Bella had not looked up at the kings afraid of what she might see there. Aro walked up to the pair and looked to Edward. He reached for her hand and began to pull her away from Edward. He grasped her chin and tilted her head up enough to look him in the eye.

Recognition dawned on Bella. She had no idea her Aro was not only a vampire but a ruler of the vampire world. "Aro?" She breathed.

"Cara mia!" He kissed her hand never taking his eyes off of her. As soon as their hands touched it was like a spark of electricity shot throughout their bodies. Now the pull they felt in their chests magnified and they were drawn together.

Aro wrapped his arms around Bella and she buried her hands in his hair. He pulled her in for a kiss.

Behind them they could hear Edward roar. Demetri and Felix had taken him apart and were awaiting orders.

Caius looking greatly annoyed at what he was about to order barked out, "Send the parts back to Carlisle and tell him we won't be merciful next time." Turning to Alice, he waved her away with his hand, "you may go. Bella is not leaving here. We will manage her affairs."

Alice was quickly escorted out of the throne room. She looked back and Aro was still kissing Bella gently holding her in his arms. They never stopped to see either of the Cullen's leave the room.

Hours later when Aro was finally able to pull away, Bella looked dreamily around the room and realized Edward and Alice were gone.

Marcus chortled, "It is about time brother."

Caius approached the pair, "It is nice to meet you in person Bella. We are happy to have our new sister and queen here."

Bella blushed and before she could respond Aro had leaned in and bitten her neck. He pumped her full of venom starting her change.

He looked her in the eyes once again before kissing her softly as he pulled away for the last time of her human life he growled lovingly at her, "Mine!"

Bella looked into Aro's eyes and smiled, "Yours."
