I do not own Hetalia okay? Just seeing how you guys like this really makes me smile. Anyway, I don't have much else to say, so enough of this A/N, on with the fic!

"Hey Al! You ready? You know I don't want to get there too late!" Matthew said as he came in the door after work. "Papa text me about how Dad's stabilized." He explained as Alfred looked over at his brother. "But yeah we need to at least get down there and I don't want Papa all there by himself."

"Why?" Natalya said calmly as she turned a page in her magazine.

"I know you don't really care much for our papa," Matthew began in his cool and calm reporter voice, "But the way he worries about people, especially our dad, well there'd be two people in the hospital. He's so melodramatic."

"Seems like." Natalya sighed.

"Mladshaya sestra" Ivan sighed. He knew that Natalya had been taking cheap shots at Francis out of her frustration with him and as a way to divert what normally she would have reserved for Alfred at him. She had found him rather annoying since Thanksgiving. And remembering how he was at both of her sibling's weddings was annoying. A full grown man crying like a baby at his sons' weddings was annoying and how he got after too much champagne at the receptions was what had cemented her opinion of him that did not get much better after the holidays.

"Don't give her a hard time Vanya." Alfred said as he picked up his overnight bag. "I was kind of annoyed with him too coming up uninvited when we had this with Nattie and Toris." He then looked over to Matthew. "Katy packed you a bag as well. She insisted and put it in when she was folding laundry."

"Yeah she can't be happy just playing the Switch all day. She's pretty frustrated being stuck on bedrest." Matthew sighed. "And she's the type if she is a guest somewhere she wants to be overly helpful."

"Good take it and let's go. I don't want Papa calling me when they chase him out going woe is me because Dad is in the hospital." Alfred said.

"Sorry but my spouse is medically ordered to stay in bed while carrying my child." Matthew teased. "I need to say goodbye to her there."

"So, you're not ordered to bed because you are carrying my child." Alfred laughed at Ivan. He rolled his eyes at Alfred while Natalya scoffed and Toris giggled slightly.

"No." Ivan said. "Although Toris, Natalya and I will be looking at some of the houses for sale over the weekend to help Katyusha and Matvey have a list of homes to decide on."

"Well how will Katy see it if she's on bedrest?" Alfred asked.

"It is the 21st century." Natalya said simply. She held up her smartphone I can have a video call with Katyusha as we tour the house."

Matthew peeked in on Katyusha who was back to playing her game. "See you later mon Cherie Matthew smiled as he kissed Katyusha on the forehead. I am sure you heard about the chaos happening back with my dads….."

"Yes Fredka told me." Katyusha said. "Go wish your dad well. I do hope he doesn't have anything too serious. He seemed nice enough."

"You have a big heart Katy." Matthew laughed. "Then again he may be nicer to you as a daughter in law. Who knows. I am surprised it wasn't a heart attack the way he is with Papa and Al…." He kissed her and ran back to the main room where Alfred was tapping his foot. "Jeeesh keep your pants on." Matthew said. "I am the one driving after all."

"Great." Alfred said rolling his eyes.

"Is there something wrong with my driving?" Matthew sighed. This is going to be a long trip.

"You're slow" Alfred pouted

"But if you need to get you anywhere when a snowstorm who did you call?" Matthew smirked.

"Shove it." Alfred sighed. "If my leg wasn't broken, I'd be driving and save us some time."

"And get a speeding ticket." Matthew said as he put the car in reverse ignoring Alfred's middle finger. "Real mature bro."

Francis sat on the couch sighing. Arthur is fine. He's in good hands now. But I cannot help but worry. What if it does turn out to be a sign of something more serious? He poured himself another glass of wine. It is true we are not as young as we used to be. Mathieu is going to be a dad here in the spring. Alfred has his own husband and house too, thinking of adopting themselves. He looked over at a picture taken when the boys were still young. And my roots are starting to show again…. He thought as he took a drink and a set of headlights came through the front windows from the driveway. "Oh! That must be the boys." Francis got up and made sure the door was unlocked.

"Hello Papa." Matthew said as he threw his jacket on the coatrack and took the last of Francis's wine gulping it.

"Stressful ride?" Francis asked, noting how Matthew, normally calm and composed was drinking someone else's wine.

"I had a car with a system that could interface with my phone so I wouldn't have to go through all the hassle to pick up and turn on my hands-free while driving." Matthew began as Alfred headed into the house. "But SOMEBODY has the attention span of a child and got bored with just the radio half way through the trip."

"Okay…." Francis said looking at Matthew.

"So what Mr. ADHD there does is break out his phone and starts playing stuff from YouTube." Matthew said.

"That station you had it on sucked!" Alfred moaned as he sat down in Arthur's favorite armchair. "And those ads were irritating as fuck!"

"I was waiting for the weather or traffic report." Matthew said.

"Geee I had that on my phone I could have looked up if you asked." Alfred said sarcastically.

"So as I was saying, he puts it on first some okay stuff. Then I asked if he could put it back and he starts playing some Silly songs or just something about pirates who haven't been to Boston in the Fall…. I don't know."

"The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything by Reliant K." Alfred smirked.

"Sacre bleu…." Francis sighed. "Some things never change." He sighed under his breath. "Visiting hours isn't until 7 and I know how your dad will be if we come in too early knowing when you had to leave to get here. Both you, back to your old rooms and rest up. We'll see him in the morning. I have had a very busy day and need some rest."

"And more hair dye" Alfred said. "I can see your roots from here Papa."

"That too." Francis growled. "Turns out your dad has been taking my dye as well."

"Huh." Matthew said. "Never pegged him as one to be worried about going grey."

"Me neither." Alfred noted. He thought back to Christmas when he saw his dad last. "Makes sense. His shade of hair color seemed a little different…"

"Yes yes, your dad is going grey and is insecure and you will probably make fun of him for what I told you and he will tell you it will happen to you two as well." Francis sighed. "But off to bed. That's where I will be."

"Let me call Ivan to let him know I made it in." Alfred sighed

"Same with Katy." Matthew sighed.

"Yes yes…." Francis said. He headed to the bedroom and changed his clothes, laying down looking around. They had a large bed that he had thoroughly explored with the Englishman many a time often interrupted in their younger years by the boys for one reason or another. They fought like cats and dogs at times but he would not have had it any other way. He's not going to die. It's something simple. Something that while he will have to be in the hospital for a few days it could be a sign of something worse…. "No! He is in good hands. I should not worry." Francis said loudly as Matthew walked by the door.

"It's important to think like that or you'll never get any sleep." Matthew replied. "I was like that with Katy."

"You heard me?" Francis asked.

"You seem to forget to shut your bedroom door since Al and I moved out." He teased.

"Oh be quiet." Francis sulked as he pulled the covers over his head.

Meanwhile, Toris looked around the house as Natalya was now sending a message on her phone to Katyusha and looking over a website on her laptop. She looked deeply engrossed in whatever it was she was doing. "Talya, what are you doing?"

"Looking at homes on the market for Katyusha and Matthew." Natalya said. Toris could tell she was in a serious mindset by the use of Matthew's full name. One thing he had picked up was that at least with Matthew, possibly Alfred as well, but he hadn't heard much from anyone other than Natalya expressing distaste with him, that their level of frustration was related by the use of nickname. Happy and pleased, they would call him Matvey. Friendly, Matt. Angry, they would use his full name Matthew. I don't think Natalya will ever be fully happy with either of her sibling's spouses…. Toris thought. "I am just sending Katyusha a few questions. It has to be a fair distance so that Matthew can get to work without having to leave too early and take forever to get home, she wants a house with a decent yard to have a garden and playground for the baby when they get bigger, 3 preferably 4 bedrooms and a garage. Thank the heavens real estate is cheap around here. And she does not want to do what you did Vanya before you say so. Says there isn't time for that as she refuses to have the baby while still living here if she can help it."

"Fredka and I would not mind." Ivan offered.

"Well I did say that you two would likely not care but she insisted." Natalya sighed.

Ivan nodded and looked at his watch. He knew that he was not going to have to do much this weekend outside the arrangements he had with his sisters. Seemed like the Epiphany was now just them and a traditional meal, which was fine, he was just disappointed that Alfred would not enjoy it fresh. If there was one thing he could count on was that Alfred loved his cooking and would eat anything he made. It was not hard to please him but it made him proud of what he could do. When Matthew and Katyusha moved in, they took over that role more often and it seemed Ivan was cooking less and less for Alfred. Lunch had always been whenever the other got hungry because of their jobs but had been insistent on a 7pm dinner time as while he would never admit it to very many people, he worried that both he and Alfred would get too wrapped up in their jobs and forget the other. Sure they may have been rivals upon first meeting but once they had got together Ivan never wanted to be apart from Alfred. He understood about business trips or situations like this, but having the bed to himself was not a very happy experience. Even their last year of college when they shared a dorm, he rather would have had Alfred sleeping in the bed across of him, rather than left him alone. That was part of the reason he was so protective of his sisters, he didn't want something happening to them. And it was this that made him look at Toris. "May I see you in the kitchen alone Toris?"

"Sure Mr. Ivan sir…." He replied with a shudder. Once inside he shut the door behind him. "I see you have taken quite the liking to my little sister and she to you."

"Yes. I like," He shuddered then remembered something that Natalya had told him back in Russia. You are quite strong. You just let fear get the better of you sometimes. It is a shame as I love seeing your strength. I know it is there. At this memory he gulped and looked into Ivan's eyes knowing that if something bad did happen, that Natalya was only a room over and from seeing how Katyusha could be with him when he was overbearing on Matthew at times, he knew that it was either Alfred or his sisters that could talk him down. "No I love Natalya. She is smart, beautiful and determined. My parents think well of her and I could not ask for anyone better." Ivan took a breath and he began. "I understand your concern for her well-being and virtue and I respect those things too much to get physical at this point in our lives and relationship. I understand very well just what can happen. If I were to ever marry and have children with her, I would want it to be at a point where we would not have to worry about a thing when it comes to providing for the child." This may be foolish and presumptuous, as things can change but I will let him know and see what happens. "I would find that Natalya would be my dream wife."

Ivan paused and looked at Toris who was now trembling as the bravado he had started to subside. Ivan looked over him and could see that he was not meaning any ill will towards his dearest little sister and Alfred did seem to like him and he was very helpful. "I admire your bravery. Both in asking my sister out and telling me your exact feelings. So far I have not seen you mistreat her and she seems to like you too. Fredka has taken a liking to you as well despite his dislike of Natalya." Toris paused. "I make no delusion that my husband actually likes my sister. As long as they aren't trying to kill each other, and at most make childish insults, I am happy." Toris smiled as Ivan headed to the sink to pour himself a glass of water. "Do not mistake me though, if you do hurt her, I break you. That is if she doesn't herself."

"I could never but I respect your dedication to her and trust of me to allow her in the same room while we stay." Toris said.

"That one is Fredka and Natalya's decision. Fredka trusts you. He's very trusting of a person and Natalya would be rather upset that I didn't trust her to put you in your place if you wanted to do that." Ivan sighed. "I am heading up to bed. Please be quiet as I am sure that Katyusha is sleeping too."

"Yes sir Mr. Ivan sir." Toris said as he walked out of the kitchen behind Ivan.

"Your brother respects my courage." He said with an amazed face. Natalya looked from Ivan to Toris. "I told him exactly how I felt about you and he didn't kill me."

"He must be getting better about being overprotective." Natalya said, slightly amazed at her brother. "I don't know what to make of that. Or what you did to him, but I find it really attractive you found your courage." She said as she put the laptop on the couch, headed over to Toris, standing on her toes, pulled him close and kissed him deeply. "I love you so much right now."

I don't see a problem as long as it does not go all the way I have that control and like Alfred joked, a cold shower can do the trick Toris thought with a smile as he wrapped his hands around Natalya. "Back to the bedroom though. We must be quiet."

"I think I can do that." Natalya smiled.

Alfred woke early to the shaking of his brother. "Get up Alfie. I have pancakes and sausage made for everyone. We're going to eat and then visit Dad."

"Uggggghhhhh…." Alfred said placing the pillow on his head.

"Up." Matthew sighed. "I am not above making you have to go to the ER by pushing you out of bed and making them recast your leg."

"Alright." Alfred said up. "Violent much?"

"I want to know Dad is well and just spend some time with Papa before we go home tomorrow. I think he's having a mid-life crisis and needs someone here at least for a little while before we head back home. I mean with Katy pregnant, you and Ivan talking about adopting…"

"Wait!" Alfred blushed, jumping awake. "Not like we made it official or anything and not like I am looking at agencies and I didn't call a few places and I didn't file paperwork and such and I didn't talk Vanya into singing a few background check papers while half asleep…."

"Meaning you are seriously thinking about it." Matthew smacked his brother's head. "You're my twin brother. I know your mannerisms well. Besides I am the older one."

"By 3 days. We spent the rest of the time together! It's medically possible!" Alfred said as he threw a pillow at Matthew who dodged it expertly. "How did you dodge it so good?"

"1. It's just a pillow. 2. Hockey goalie skills never go away. 3. I'm actually awake. 4. Get the fuck up." Matthew said as he nudged Alfred's cast enough to make him wince in pain. "But no. Papa's not taking becoming a grandpa well and Dad was always the one who kept him grounded. And this did not help him one bit."

"Guess not." Alfred said as he moved to stand up and pull out a change of clothes. "I'm grabbing a shower before Papa uses up all the hot water. He even up yet?"

"Nope. My next target." Matthew said.

"Good luck with that." Alfred said.

"I'm going to be a dad soon, need to practice." Matthew laughed. "And not with just you."

"Shut up." Alfred sighed. "There's always Toris and Natalya you could try that on."

"NO." Matthew said as Alfred laughed. "Now clean up. Casts stink."

"Well your pancakes make up for that." Alfred said.

"Thanks." Matthew said.

"Don't get too much of a big head." Alfred said.

"As if you'd know." Matthew sighed as Alfred stuck up the middle finger as he headed into the bathroom.
