I do not own Hetalia okay? At chapter 35, I think you would know that by now. Well the off season is here so I may be able to update more. I will also be working on my final semester of schooling so that may play in but who knows. Anyway, you're not here for that you are here for the story so enough of this A/N, on with the fic!

Natalya stood outside the toy store tapping her foot while Katyusha sat on the bench in the mall. The only reason I did not just order everything online was because I had to distract Katyusha while that Frog and his friends get the housewarming/baby showers together. They're doing them all at once, even though Vanya and Alfred's kids are no longer babies. I honestly cannot wait to meet them though. I know he will be a proper father to them.Natalya thought as she looked over at Toris who walked over to the pretzel stand to get them a drink and a mustard coated pretzel dog for Katyusha who was getting tired and hungry.

"Sorry for the wait." Toris said apologizing to the sisters. "The person in front of me nearly ripped off the cashier's apron for not having a kind of pretzel they liked anymore."

"That's awful!" Katyusha said as she licked off some of the excess mustard and bit down greedily on the treat.

"That baby is making you really hungry." Natalya observed. "And has an appetite a lot like her father and uncle..."

"You know how much I like well made kielbasa and mustards as well..." Katyusha said.

"Yes." Natalya replied. "Usually the Bavarian ones or other ones from Eastern Europe."

"Well this is what I was hungry for." Katyusha said defensively. "Maybe when you and Toris have a child of your own, you will understand."

At this, both Natalya and Toris blushed and looked away. Sure they had decided that they were getting more serious now about their relationship but to think about children was something neither of them was ready for. It was something that did come to Natalya's mind every now and again since the relationship got physical. One mishap and she could be the one sitting on the bench eating a mustard covered pretzel dog in a craving caused by the child. She shuddered slightly to herself and shook the image out of her mind. She had a career and goals with that that she needed to accomplish first.Baby fever may be spreading in the family, especially with Ivan and Alfred adopting. At this they were going to meet Nikita and Dmitri, the twins they were matched up with and were just waiting for the legal processing and final court case that would make them official members of their family, which Ivan and Alfred both claimed they were. She had seen pictures and they were very cute children and she did want to meet them but had hoped that Francis's idea of having a combined kind of shower event for Katyusha and Ivan did not sit well with her. But it did make things convenient, she did have to admit. As Katyusha, Natalya and Toris ate their snacks awkwardly after that comment, Katyusha took a breath to break it. "I am sorry if I made things awkward with my comment. My hormones do sometimes get the best of me. I do think however, if you two decide to marry and have children they would indeed be very cute."

"Thanks." Natalya said accepting her sister's comment.

"I would like to meet Fredka and Vanya's children here soon. I have only seen pictures and heard what they had both told me about them. They are turning the guest rooms into the children's rooms and so far, all that they have decided to do with them is let the children decide which one gets which room and how to paint it. But one thing Fredka told me that Nikita wanted was pink with baseballs everywhere."

"Well we know which daddy she will like a lot." Toris said.

"Seems so. I know that they will love both Fredka and Vanya equally but you know how children are, they have favorites even if they do not know it." Katyusha sighed. "I do hope they like what I got them. I only know what they told me about them." She mourned looking at the bag from the toy store with a matching set of teddy bears.

"I am sure they will whenever you get to meet them. You will need to talk to Vanya and Fredka about it. Which you should be able to do, you haven't finished moving out have you?" Natalya said quickly, thinking that somehow she would spoil the surprise.

"You are right. And I should ask Matvey when he was the time. Would you believe that he got called in for some stupid HR seminar?" Katyusha complained as she wiped some of the mustard she dribbled off her face.

Yes because it is a complete farce that Gilbert put up so he, Antonio and Francis could break into your home and set up a surprise party. Natalya thought as she feigned shock. "Oh my! And he has been there how long? Shouldn't things like that have been done when he was first hired?"

"That's what I said." Katyusha said as Toris took her bag and his and placed it in the trash. At this Natalya's phone rang. "Yes?"

"Operation is a go. You can bring home Katyusha." Francis said.

"And Matthew?" Natalya said. "He is coming home and if he comes home before you bring home Katyusha, I can stall him."

"Fine." Natalya said. She then turned to where Toris and Katyusha were in conversation and smiled. "Okay sister, let's go back to your house for tea. I would love to see more what you and Matthew have done with the place."

"You have everything you need?" Katyusha asked.

"Of course!" Natalya smiled. "I don't want you exhausting yourself too much. No need to strain yourself and your daughter before she is born."

"No, I guess not..." Katyusha agreed. Ever since she was put on bed rest and especially since she was left off it, everyone had been constantly reminding her to be careful. The doctors had said the incident that had caused her to be put on it could happen to anyone and it was really had to predict who would be more vulnerable, but she knew that they were not trying to be mean and they really cared but it seemed so troublesome sometimes.

"Well let's go." Natalya said as she helped Katyusha up and Toris followed.

Meanwhile, Ivan and Alfred were getting ready to pick up Nikita and Dmitri from their foster parent's house to a housewarming and baby shower for Matthew and Katyusha that Francis had told him to bring the twins to. He and Arthur would be there and it would be a perfect chance to meet their family as he had gotten even Natalya and Toris to come along as well. None of this sat well with Alfred once he had agreed to it as his imagination ran wild with what ifs. Ivan could tell he was nervous as he had hardly sipped his coffee but paced the kitchen and could hardly eat. "Do not worry dorogoy" He said placing his hand on Alfred's shoulder. "I doubt any of your family would be bad to the little ones."

"But you know how my dads are. And no offense Vanya but your younger sister scares me. The only ones I am not worried about screwing things up with Nikita and Dmitri is Mattie and Katy." Alfred said as he tried to sip his coffee hands trembling.

"I doubt your fathers would act like they do around their grandchildren. They know that they are still little and almost everyone I had talked to about this at work said that when people become grandparents they act differently than when they were parents." Ivan said as he kissed Alfred's forehead. "Besides, I do not care if they are the men who raised you my love, but they scare my children by being foolish, they will wish they had never met them. The same applies for Natalya. I know that you have not the faith I do with her on that matter and I understand why as you do not know her like I do, but if she does scare our children then I will show her much the same treatment. I do not take kindly to such behavior even if it is my fathers in law or my sister."

With this, Alfred looked a little scared but cracked a nervous laugh. "I guess you're right. Let's go get the twins." With this they headed for Sherrie and Tom's to pick the twins up. They were informed that they were going to meet their extended family today and both seemed to be very excited to do so. Waving goodbye to Sherrie and Tom, they were hooked up into the car seats that Ivan recalled Alfred fretting at online ratings and Youtube reviews of and put the twins in the seats and headed to Matthew and Katyusha's house.

"So, are you ready to meet your aunts, uncle and grandpas?" Alfred asked looking behind the seat at the twins.

"Do they have presents?" Dmitri asked.

"There's more to your dedushki than them giving you presents malen'kiye" Ivan said sternly. "They are part of your family and will be there for you no matter what happens and you can learn so much from them." Nikita and Dmitri looked at Ivan confused. "Something wrong?"

"What's day-doosh-kee?" Dmitri said confused.

"Oh, that is Russian. My first language and I will teach it to you." Ivan smiled.

"Did you guys know that your names are Russian as well?" Alfred said, knowing that too much would be confusing for three year old children at this point.

"They are?" Nikita asked as Alfred nodded. "Cool!"

Meanwhile, Matthew was staring blankly at the computer as a bland, corny and over-acted video on avoiding a hostile work environment was playing that Gilbert had told him to do under the pretense of a HR mix up that because he did it already he knew the answers and just had to go through them once again to make sure they had copies on file to make sure they were covered legally saying he completed the training. God if Katy ever found I did even some of these things at work she'd stick my dick in a sausage grinder. I don't think even Papa was ever this blatant with his advances and he was always very expressive with his love with Dad...he thought as he was forced to watch a video of a badly acted situation where a man was asking a female coworker to give him a blow job to use the copier. "Has this ever happened? Like this? Like in the recent years? Or am I too trusting that people aren't that stupid." Matthew groaned as he placed his face on the keyboard as one of the weekend office workers opened the door.

"Excuse me, Mr. Williams?" the receptionist asked as she opened the door.

"Yes?" Matthew moaned looking at the ceiling thinking she was going to say that there was an ethics video he needed to watch again. Most of these were common sense but because of various legal and industrial rulings he needed to watch them and test out of the course. He had remembered what Gilbert said that the biggest thing to remember with Journalistic integrity would be to ask who would be proud, Hurst or Woodward and Bernstein. If your answer was Hurst then you had fucked up.

"Mr. Beilschmidt called, you are free to go. He was able to work out the issue with HR." She said.

"Thank god. I don't know how much more of this I could stand." Matthew said getting up.

"Oh I know Mr. Williams, it is rather redundant. And if you do not mind me saying, it is nice seeing you do the news on the weekdays." She smiled.

"Thanks." Matthew blushed and headed to his car. As time went on with the job, and his face became more and more familiar to many in the area, he had gotten more and more comments like that. Alfred had even told him that instead of Matthew being mistaken for Alfred, Alfred was being mistaken for Matthew. He would be lying if part of him didn't enjoy the reversal as growing up he always felt in his brother's shadow because of that despite the fact they were pretty much the same on many aspects. Sure one may have had one strength in an area the other didn't but neither Alfred nor Matthew considered themselves better than the other, but it still hurt when that mix up happened. He drove home hoping to see Katyusha again, or if she had not come back from the mall with Natalya and Toris to surprise her somehow. That foot bath that Al got her for Christmas certainly has been getting a lot of use lately, her feet are killing her. He thought as he pulled up to his house, to see Francis come out of the door and his and Antonio's cars in the driveway.

"Oh bonjour Mathieu!" Francis said as he ran up to his son quickly and hugged him tightly. "So how was your work day? Gilbert told me of the awful mix up. Must have been a nightmare. I know just how awfully tiresome those things HR makes you do can be."

"Papa..."Matthew said as he tried to struggle against Francis's grip and pull away, wanting to get into his house. "Is Katy back yet?"

"Oh? Madame Katyusha, not yet. I think she went out with her sister..." Francis played coy.

"I know she did. Katy tells me practically everything." Matthew rolled his eyes. "Look Dad may attempt to make a Scottish egg or some weird British food that might burn the house down... so you should go see to that..."

"Non..." Francis said. "We already have party trays set out, even a lot of chicken nuggets for the little ones as that is one of their favorite foods according to Alfred..."

"Huh?" Matthew asked looking at his father. "Chicken nuggets? Party tray? What is going on?"

"Katyusha is home." Francis said as he turned Matthew around and waved at the car that Natalya stepped out of, as Katyusha ran out and hugged her husband.

"Oh Matvey, I missed you." Katyusha smiled as she hugged him best she could with the bump growing not allowing her to hold Matthew as close to her as either of them liked.

"I missed you too Katy, just what is going on?" Matthew said as he saw Alfred and Ivan pull up and take two young children out of the back of their car.

"Oh is that who you told me about?" Francis said as he pushed Matthew out of the way and headed up to Alfred who was holding onto Nikita's hand.

"Yes, this is Nikita and Vanya has Dmitri," Alfred said as a pair of hazel eyes and brow hair peeked over the roof of the car, as he was sitting on Ivan's shoulders.

"So the gang is all here now finally. Come on in." Francis said.

"It is my house!" Matthew said as he held Katyusha's hand and followed him in. As the group walked in, the lights flipped and a loud "Surprise" was heard from the living room where Francis, Antonio, Gilbert and Arthur were standing.

"It's a three for one party." Gilbert smiled. "A housewarming and baby shower for you and Katyusha and a kind of welcome to the family for Ivy, Alfie and those two lovely little Lieblinge" Gilbert said pointing to Nikita and Dmitri who hid behind Alfred and Ivan, not sure of what to make of him, "And the idea of having the welcome to the family for the twins those two are adopting came from Mr. Uptight over there."

"Poppycock." Arthur scoffed. "I thought it would be a nice place for the twins to meet all of their extended family at once. I do hope we didn't overwhelm you two." He said as he walked up to Alfred and Nikita, who were closer and bent down to her level. Alfred looked on curiously, knowing how his father could be and watched carefully.

"Dad..." Alfred said warningly.

"I understand son, you're worried for little Nikita and I am sure Ivan is the same with Dmitri there." Arthur began. "But I just wanted to meet this lovely little girl." Nikita looked out from behind Alfred's leg and at Arthur curiously. "I'm told you're named Nikita." She nodded. "Well I am your grandpa and I have been waiting so long to meet you. And your brother, I forgot his name because I am an old grandpa." with this Nikita laughed. "What's his name?"

"It's Dmitri grandpa!" He yelled from Ivan's shoulder, causing him to wince from the noise. He looked over at Arthur and then to the table with the food. "And are those nuggets for me?"

"And your sister yes. But you cannot eat all of them, you will get sick." Arthur said as Dmitri frowned. "If you come down from there I can get you both some."

"Okay. You're not as tall as Papa though..." Dmitri said as Ivan placed him at Arthur's feet and smiled.

"Guess not. Your papa is tall." Arthur said as he took Dmitri and Nikita to the table and put a few chicken nuggets and carrots on a plate for each of them.

"And I will grow taller!" Dmitri said as he stood on his tippy toes. "I am growing right now grandpa look!"

"Oh my, you certainly are growing." Arthur laughed.

"Maybe you were right about people acting different as they are grandparents. So far so good with Dad..."Alfred said.

"Da..." Ivan nodded. "You want me to get the housewarming and baby shower gifts that he told us to get."

"Oh!" Alfred said running out kissing Ivan. "Back in a sec Vanya."

"Oh your daddy is forgetful." Arthur teased as the twins giggled in a mouthful of chicken nugget. "And do not speak and eat at the same time."

"You seem to be doing well with these two." Ivan said.

"Well I learned a few things about how to raise adopted twins myself." Arthur said plainly to Ivan. "Besides, you and Alfred will be the ones who have to live with them. I can just spoil them to my delight and make them love me and you have to deal with the tough parts of raising children. I did it with both Matthew and Alfred. I want to spoil children now." Arthur said looking at Ivan's stern face. "Within reason. Like an extra scone or something."

"Okay now that is just too harsh a punishment for an innocent child." Ivan sighed as Arthur scoffed.

"Unless I made the goodies." Francis said. "Oh and I am your grand-père." He said placing a cookie on each of the twin's plates. "I made these just for you."

"What did Dad have to get?" Nikita asked as she bit down on the cookie.

"Finish your chicken nuggets and your carrots before the cookie." Ivan said sternly.

"Oh poo." Francis teased. "It's a party."

"I should worry about you spoiling them more than Arthur..." Ivan sighed as Alfred placed their housewarming and baby shower gifts on the table with the others.

"What are those for?" Dmitri asked. "And Papa won't let us eat the cookie grand-père gave us now." he pouted. "We have to eat the chicken nuggets and carrots first and I saw that white haired guy eat cookies without eating anything first." He said pointing to Gilbert.

"That's because Mr. Beilschmidt is your Uncle Mattie's boss and a grown up." Alfred said. "But those gifts are for your Uncle Mattie and Aunt Katy as they have a new house and going to have a baby soon." He explained to the twins.

"Ja!" Gilbert smiled. "Now let's get this party started. This would be one of our more tame parties, but what the hel-hey hey!" He corrected knowing that Alfred and Ivan would not be happy with them swearing in front of the children.

So how was that? Good? Bad? Short? Long? Let me know in a review. I know this chapter was a lot of fluff and the next one will be a lot more of that as well, but this story is very much family fluff and bonding. So there's not much on this chapter I have for a closing A/N, so remember to read (well you just did) and to review. Ciao for now,
