Ice Age AU
In Fiore there are two kinds of humans. Magic users and non magic users. Over the years the non magic humans began to fear the humans who used magic so they began to kill and persecute them until they were divided into their own separate groups. The non magic humans, the dragon slayer and celestial wizards, the ice and water mages, and body magic users.
Natsu a dragon slayer accidentally angers two other dragon slayers in his tribe called Sting and Rogue who attack him. Though he fights back, it's two against one so they beat him. The fight is witnessed by Gray a loner ice mage who thinks that Natsu has had enough and that they should stop. When they don't, Gray freezes them. Natsu is grateful and wants to be friends with Gray but he'd rather be alone.
Meanwhile in a tribe of non magical humans, their leader Alzack lives happily with his wife Bisca and their year old daughter Asuka. Unfortunately Alzack's father the former leader had led an attack on a tribe of body magic users and killed hundreds of them. Their vengeful leader Brain wants to get revenge by killing Alzack's daughter so he sends Jellal to abduct the baby. They attack the tribe but Jellal fails to get Asuka due to Bisca interfering. During their fight, the basket cradle holding Asuka gets knocked into the river and floats away (I didn't want the mother to die in this) The body magic users retreat but Brain orders Jellal to find Asuka and bring her to him alive. Alzack believing that the body magic users killed his daughter leads his tribe after them in revenge.
Later Gray and Natsu find Asuka. Natsu immediately thinks that they should return her to her family but Gray claims he wants nothing to do with her, despite the fact that Asuka bonded to him instantly. He ditches them both and Natsu decides to take her back by himself. But Natsu is attacked by Jellal who almost successfully kidnaps Asuka but is stopped by Gray. Jellal lies and says that he was returning her home but they don't believe him. To gain their trust he shows them a map he has that leads to where Asuka's family is headed but they still don't trust him to take her back alone so they decide to let him travel with them.
On the sidelines Happy an exceed is desperately trying to hold on to his beloved fish and find a peaceful place to eat it.
