"The Human Systems Alliance prior to first contact and the following first contact war was slowly falling apart. It was build on the idea of a unified front against a alien civilization in wake of the discovery of the mars ruins. With almost 200 years of exploration and no intelligent alien life found the independence movement was slowly gaining traction. With the discovery of Alien life and the spark that was the War, the human race united under the Alliance Solidifying its importance and hold on Human society. Would the Turians or any other Race discovered Humanity atleast 30 years later it is likely Humanity would be in a state of Civil War, instead following the end of the First Contact War Humanity emerged united and a major player in Galactic Politics, changing the Balance of power overnight"

April 20th, 2234, Tau System, SSV Fuji

"Admiral! Admiral Hackett reports a single 2km ship jumped in system" reported a communications officer.

"Shouldn't be a problem dispatching it with the forces he has" replied Drescher

"Theres a problem Admiral, Admiral Hackett reports the ship is transmitting in several languages a message, one of them turian, saying it has diplomats aboard" said the Communications officer.

Drescher walked up to him "Apply the translation matrix and play the message"

"I am Councilor Tevos of the Citadel Council aboard the Destiny Accension we come in peace to discuss a peaceful resolution to this conflict." Played the officer for the whole bridge to hear.

"Figures they want to discuss peace now that we are on the offensive" said her XO which earned replies of agreement from majority of the bridge crew.

Drescher while agreeing with her crew and wanting nothing more then to blast the ship into space dust had to adhere to regulations and orders provided to her by Alliance FLEETCOM "open a communications channel, apply the Turian translation"

"Councilor Tevos, this is Admiral Drescher of the Alliance 2nd Fleet. You entered a active combat zone, in order to discuss any kind of peaceful resolution you will be escorted further in system where you will arrive to my ship in a shuttle. You may bring 4 guards with you. Any deviations from provided course will be met with hostility"

"Captain, go and bring them to observation room 2" spoke Drescher as she moved to exit the bridge.

"Yes ma'am" Replied the Captain

Tevos was nervous, that much was certain. These Humans after closing the communications channel did send a barebones First contact package and a copy of their Turian translator that the VIs managed to adapt for Asari speech. As the Destiny Accension moved to their designated spot they were escorted by 4 ships, one of which was a dreadnought and that didn't bode well for Negotiations.

Unfortunately her shuttle was getting closer and closer to the Human Flagship since she felt the artificial gravity pull on her shuttle before it landed. With a loud thump they knew there was no going back. Leaving the Shuttle Tevos together with the 4 commandos that served as her escort were met by 20 Human Soldiers that led them to one Human in a Uniform with 1 golden stripe on his shoulder.

Aproaching him she extended her Hand to him, something that the First contact package said was a greeting amongst Humans. The Human looked at her hand for a moment and refused to take it. "I am Captain Tores and I welcome you aboard my ship, the SSV Fuji. If you would follow me I will lead you to where the Admiral is waiting for you.

She did as told and made her way with the commandos behind the captain. They walked for 5 minutes, passing many officers, sailors and Soldiers alike who all gave them a venomous look. The captain stopped infront of a door that 2 Soldiers guarded. Both of them saluted and let the captain open the door.

Stepping inside Tevos found a Human Female with 5 Stars on her cap together with 5 Golden stripes on her Shoulder. She was seated Infront of a window that showed Magna, every now and then some flickering light could be seen from the dark side of the planet. She was certain it was from the war ragging down below.

Tevos walked closer to the Desk at which the Human Admiral was at. The admiral for her part stood up and extended her hand to Tevos. "We finally meet in person Councilor. I am Admiral Drescher of the 2nd Fleet, we talked over the vid. What brings you to this system?" asked the Admiral as she sat down together with Tevos.

One of the Human soldiers inside moved slightly but Tevos didn't think much of it. "I have come to put an end to this senseless war"

The human frowned a bit "I wouldn't call it senseless Councilor, we have our reasons. Good reasons"

"I didn't mean to offend. But the Colony of Magna is part of the Turian Hierarchy a member of the Citadel Council. We would prefer to avoid war if possible"

"What is this Citadel Council?" Asked Drescher.

"The Citadel Council is a Economic, Military and Scientific Alliance between species that are part of the Citadel. The Citadel Council itself is the governing body of the Citadel with my government, The Asari Republics, the Turian Government, Turian Hierarchy and the Salarian government, Salarian Union"

"Does the Citadel Council always welcome new races to this Alliance with a invasion force?" asked Drescher with a frown that grew stronger when the word 'Turian' fell.

"No, the Turians were never tasked with First contact. It is my race that always preformed it but this situation was obviously different. I am sorry that the first contact between us ended in war. What would it take for you to accept peace and let us walk to prosperity together?"

"I am not sure, I cant officially accept any kind of peace that isn't unconditional surrender. I am authorized to accept a armistice."

"Armistice?" asked Tevos

"A cessation of hostilities until a certain date or until a peace treaty is drafter. Should a peace treaty not be achieved until the decided date, hostilities will restart" as if to drive the point home a ship flew across the window as its weapons opened fire unto the surface. Green Laser bolts falling down on the dark side of the planet followed by green flares appearing.

"Why only until a certain date, why not until a peace treaty is signed?"

"It's a way for the military to light fire under the politicians backside. You politicians love talking about everything but the issue at hand. The military only accepts armistices until a certain date so that you get the job done unless you want to be voted out of office."

"What are your demands?"

"We can decide the date once my techs give me conversions on our dates do yours. Besides that both sides agree to cease all hostilities for the duration of the Armistice. Both sides agree to not send any new forces to the Tau System. Diplomatic ships of both sides are allowed to enter the system. Those are ours, what are yours?"

"I don't have anything to add to those regulations. I would like to invite your politicians to the citadel to discuss a Peace treaty as soon as possible"

"Not so fast councilor, we have yet to sign the armistice. All peace talks will be held in this system, that is non-negotiable"

"Why is that?"

"Are you really asking that councilor? We are at war, we don't even know where the Citadel is, what is for certain is that it is inside of your border which would be suicide for our diplomats in the event that the talks fall through"

"That may not be the wisest decision Admiral. If the Turian diplomats see signs of Orbital Bombardment on Magna they will never agree to a peace treaty"

"May I ask why?"

"The turians are the protectors of citadel Space and the enforcers of its Laws, Orbital bombardment of Garden Worlds is one of the harshest punished crimes in Citadel Space"

"Really? I wonder then why they bombarded an entire continent into rubble on Shanxi. This is War councilor, rules exist only as long as one side decides to break them. They wiped out a continent, they can be happy we aren't turning the whole colony into glass"

Tevos was shocked at what she heard, if what the Admiral said was true then the Turians and Humans would be locked in a state of cold war for decades to come, making any incorporation into the Citadel very, very hard.

"If I may admiral how many people died at Shanxi?"

"Prior to turian arrival Shanxi had a population of 16 Million and a garrison of 48 Thousand Soldiers. After its Liberation Shanxi was reduced to 11 Million and the garrison remaining at 7 thousand"

That's over 5 Million death in a span of a few weeks of fighting and 5 Million examples for Humans to not trust the Turians and by extension the Council "You have my condolences"

"Your Condolences mean nothing to me councilor"

An officer entered the room at the moment holding papers in his hands and approached the Table placing them down before Tevos and the Admiral. Written in Thessian dialect the Armistice was prepared, all that needed to be done was to write the date from when to when and to sign it.

"It is currently the 20th of April in our calendar. My technicians managed to give me a conversion to our dates which are surprisingly similar. With that I propose the Armistice to enter power on the 30th of April at 11 am"

"I would like it to be put into power as soon as possible and the 30th is simply too long 21st is more to my liking"

"I cant do that Councilor, my men are still fighting, if we stop now the major industrial sites will still remain in turian hands allowing them to resupply, the 28th"

"You have to understand that the longer the fighting goes on the less likally the Turians will agree to whatever peace deal we can draw up, 23rd"

"I understand that Councilor but I need my men to control majority of the planet least a uprising takes place, the best I can do is the 25th and I will not go any lower"

"I can accept that Admiral" said Tevos as she also received the conversion and wrote down the Date, signing the document and handing it to the Admiral who did the same with hers, Tevos then signed the Human document and they exchanged the documents one last time "I hope we can reach a amicable agreement later Admiral"

"As do I Councilor" replied Drescher as she said her goodbyes to Tevos

29th April 2234, Tau System, ARS Destiny Accension

"Our Demands are simple, The Turian state is to pay reparations to the Families of soldiers and civilians alike lost in the Tau and Shanxi system, pay reparations for the damage caused to Shanxi, pay reparations for Naval losses incurred above Shanxi and Magna and Finally the Removal of the Turian State from the Citadel council" said the Human diplomat.

"Absolutely not, the Turian Hierarchy will not pay for enforcing Citadel Law and we will not be removed from the Council just because some upstart wishes so!" replied the Turian diplomat enraged

Tevos was frankly shocked. She could understand the Reparations, some of them were stretching the line however. But the removal of the Turians from the Council? Completely Ridiculous "Representative Johnson, I remind you that the citadel council is a neutral party in this and is not the topic of discussion"

"This whole war started because of the blank slate given to patrol fleets. The Turians have proven too fast to shoot to be the protectors of Citadel space and its Laws, unless the Turian Hierarchy is removed from the Council we will not accept a peace treaty as the Turians have proven to be a threat against Humanity"

"You damn upstarts are demanding too much, its best not to test our patience Human, we agreed to these talks but don't take that as a sign that we will not respond to such demands!"

"Then we are done here" said the Human Representative as he stood up and left.

May 25th 2234

"Hostilities officially restart today, what does the Turian Hierarchy have to say about this Mister Arterius?"

"We tried to reach a common ground but the Humans wouldn't not accept anything but the removal of our Council seat. Now that the Hierarchy is mobilizing I can say with certainty that in a few short months Humanity will bow and accept peace, of that you can be certain"

"You heard it folks, future war events will be reported right here on Citadel News, and now to sports"

"Feisty aren't they?"

"Yes your Highness"

"Send a diplomat to them, if they are planning on fighting the Turians they could help us in the long run. Tell them the Hegemony wishes to support them against a common enemy"

"Yes my lord"

"Ha, those pyjak shitslingers finally found someone new to fight? I wonder how much they pay. What do you Say Wreav?!"
