A broken malicious heart could sometimes make a person completely blind. And a sour pride could often urge people to act without thinking and not caring about the outcome of their action. That's the reason why Ranma had acted like a blind fool. Because Akane had broken his heart which had triggered his pride to act nonchalantly. He saw with his own eyes how she begged him again and again to understand the situation and help her out! And not only that, she also pleaded to him to be with her at every step when her aunt would come. But instead of being with her in every step, he himself made the path more difficult for her. He intentionally put a blindfold on himself! Because he was confident that whatever he would do, Akane, the love of his life, could never leave him and no one could ever take her away from him. But…this time... he was wrong..

He should have listened to Nabiki's warning. She was right when she told him that his every action would have consequences from now on.. He didn't pay much attention to what she was telling him, assuming it's nothing but her usual prophecies. But he was wrong! And he made a huge mistake!!

How he wished that he would have listened to what she had told him.. And instead of listening to his stubborn prideful mind, he would have listened to his heart. His heart kept warning him continuously, stopping him from leaving Akane alone. But, his persistent pride won against his battle with his heart and now they both are suffering for his foolish act.

He ran like a crazed wild horse. He didn't even know where he was heading to! Only one thing on his mind was that he had to find her anyhow!

He huffed and puffed as he ran and ran. The wind was cold but he was sweating nonstop! He ran like forever as the road began to look endless. He was losing his to find her, but then suddenly… his eyes fell on the person he was desperately searching for.

He could recognize her with his eyes close. She was sitting in front of that unknown guy on a open-style restaurant. It was a luxurious two-storeyed building, surrounded by clear glasses… The gorgeous interior of that place was clearly visible from outside…

He stood under a shadow of a tree. He tiredly landed on the trunk as he kept looking at her without blinking his eyes. He saw with his sorrow-filled eyes, as she looked down at the table and that guy kept talking with her.

He never once saw her smiling at him or talking to him with enthusiasm.. It was as if she was facing the hardest punishment of her life. And to think that, he is the one who had done that to her, thinking about this alone was making him more miserable..

He wanted to break down the door and enter that place. He wanted to snatch her out from him and take her away. But he couldn't do that. Something was holding him back as the only think he could do was to watch them silently..

As the time passed by, It proved to be the greatest punishment for him. Then after some time, he was surprised to notice how Akane was struggling with her explanations as if she was trying to prove something to him. He balled his hands tightly upon seeing that guy suddenly holding her hand. After that everything happened so quickly and so unexpectedly that he got dumbfounded. He almost got ready to get in the restaurant when he caught a glimpse of her depressing aura. But before he could act at his impulse, he saw startled as she hastily stood up to leave that place. But the scene that made his blood boil was when he saw how that guy so fearlessly got closer to her and kissed her without her permission.

Ranma growled loudly as he thought bitterly,

'HOW DARE HE!! THAT.. THAT..'

He got ready on his heels and was about to go inside the restaurant, but before he could get any closer to the door, the door burst open and Akane came out from there. Ranma immediately hides himself behind a wall and sees her walking away. Ranma was disappointed at himself for hiding himself from her again..

'What am I doing? Why am I hiding myself from her!'

He sighs defeated as he remembered the expression on her face when she walked out of that restaurant. She never looked that devastated before. Her face was blank, no expression was written over her face. In one word, she looked completely broken and lost.

He silently began to follow her. Her depressing aura was so thick that he could feel every bit of it. He sighs again and begins to feel more guilty for making her go through all this. He got stiff when he saw her going towards the hotel, thinking that maybe she is returning to her room and he might not get the chance to apologise to her. But when he saw her turning and going towards the beach area, he realised a sigh of relief and again started following her.

The night was windy as the sky above was filled with thick clouds. The usually busy area now looked so deserted as no one was present there. He saw her stopping by the shore of the sea as she deeply looked at the water. Suddenly, thunder strikes as wild winds begin to blow from time to time, making the atmosphere colder than usual.

He noticed her shivering body as she hugged herself with her arms to comfort herself. Seeing her state, this time he didn't hesitate a bit as he hurriedly opened his red shirt and slowly, with his shaky hands, dabbed it over her trembling cold shoulder.

He thought that maybe by doing so, she would get stunned by his action and she will turn to face him for an explanation. But to his utter surprise, she didn't respond as he thought she would. Instead, he saw her pulling his shirt more securely around her as she began to sob silently. Her whimpering sound was so heartbreaking, it was pinching his heart like needles.

"No.. No..please no.."

Her voice sounded tired as she shook her head in distress. Ranma balled his fists tightly and tired to approach her with his shaky tone,

" Kane.."

She stopped suddenly as if realizing his presence just now…. He saw as she slowly raised her head up.. Her sobbing suddenly halted as her body got rigid… Her sudden change of attitude made him even more worried as he again tried to approach her in a concern-filled whisper,

" Kane..…ya.. Ya 'kay?"

Akane balled her fists tightly as she bites her lower lip hard.. When she felt the warmth over her body she thought that she must be imagining things. Because for her this warmth only belongs to Ranma.. She thought that her tired mind is playing games with her, making her fool by thinking that this is all real.. But when she heard his concern-filled tone, her fogged perspective broked instantly. Her whole body began to tremble with her suppressed fustration… Her breathing became uneven as suddenly her sorrow had turned into anger… She slowly turns to face Ranma with hatred, she began to breath hard as she bits her trembling lower lip to control herself as much as she could..

Ranma was taken aback when he saw how furiously she glared at him. Her eyes were puffy red, her lips trembling, her face wet with her tears as her hair blew with the force of the wind. He didn't have any clue how to approach her at that time. Her very furious state made him even more nervous as he gulped in complete anticipation.. But he knows he can't back down now.. He has to apologize to her.. He has to beg for her forgiveness for his foolishness.. He took a deep breath as he whisper to her in a nervous tone,

" Kane… I.. I am.. I am sorry.."

"What did you just say?" Akane whispers harshly as she fully turns to face him..

Ranma realised a nervous breath as he slowly move closer to her, then he again said,

"Please Kane.. I.. I am really sorry.. Please forgive m…"

But before he could finish his word, suddenly Akane came forward and without any word, she slapped him hard on his face.

Ranma's eyes went wide with surprise. He laid one hand over his tingling cheek as he looked down, astonished. Then her heard her saying in a harsh broken tone,

"You have taken a great revenge on me, isn't it..? Now tell me, are you happy? Are you satisfied yet, Ranma?! DON'T JUST STAND THERE DAMN IT, ANSWER ME!!"

Akane gripped his tank top forcefully and made him look at her.. He took a sharp breath noticing her state as he looked at her with concern-filled eyes.

Akane was furious.. Her whole body was shaking with utmost outrage as her eyes poured tears uncontrolled. Her lips were trembling, she looked so tired and broken. But still she stood strong in front of him as she shook his body to make him analyze what she was telling him..

"DONT JUST STAND LIKE AN IDIOT, YOU DUMB INSENSITIVE BAKA! WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOURSELF, HUH!? YOU THINK YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU FEEL LIKE DOING AND I WILL OBEY WHATEVER YOU WISH !! SO TELL ME RANMA SOATOME.. ARE YOU PLEASED TO SEE ME GO WITH ANOTHER GUY?? TELL ME HONESTLY RANMA, IS IT ENOUGH TO FEED YOUR EGO!!? OR YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED YET!!! TELL ME WHAT ELSE I HAVE TO DO TO BOOST YOUR PRIDE, HUH?!! WHAT ELSE YOU WANT TO DO TO PUNISH ME MORE??!! WHAT ELSE YOU WANT ME TO FACE? HOW MANY TIMES YOU WANT ME TO GO ON A DATE WITH TAICHI? OR DO YOU WANT ME TO GO AND SLEEP WITH HIM NOW!!!"

"KANE!!!!"

Ranma looked at her with his hard astonished eyes. He couldn't believe what Akane had just accused him. Only hearing about this was making his blood boil with bitterness, how could she even think this low about him! If she had slapped him a hundred times more it wouldn't have hurt him as much as her words has hurt him. Her every word working as a blow to his very soul. He helplessly looked at her and slowly shook his head, silently begging her to stop .

Understanding his helplessness, Akane bits her lips as soft sobs began to come out from her mouth. She was still clenching his tank top tightly, as if taking support from it to stand still. She looked at him desperately with tears pouring through her eyes, then she whisper to him with weavery broken tone,

"You promised me, Ranma… Why…. Why did you break your promise??! Why did you leave me alone!!? You knew how much I needed you.. But still you left me.. why… why…"

Ranma couldn't give her any explanation for this as he looked down, ashamed…

"Please Ranma.. Please... stop it… I can't put up with your silence anymore.. Please.."

Akane broke down into wild sobs and without any hesitation she circled her arms around his waist. She desperately hugged him tightly as she pressed her face on his chest. Her body shook with her every sob as she begged him in between her cries..

"I am sorry, Ranma.. Please forgive me.. I won't.. I promise you I won't ever send you anywhere you don't want to go… Please Ranma, I was such a fool..! Please forgive me.. I won't do it again.. Please stop punishing me like this.. I can't take this anymore! Please forgive me..!"

Ranma couldn't believe his ears.. After all that he did to her, now she is the one who is apologising to him!? Her every pleading, her every apology was making him more guilty of his actions.. His grief was so vivid that he began to breath heavy with the force of it.. He began to shake with the force of his suppressed emotions... His heart started to feel so heavy and he was feeling as if these emotions were going to choke him alive. His body began to shake as well, and at that moment only her hug was the only thing that was soothing his existence. After a moment of guilt-filled realization, Ranma bowed his head down and hides his head in the crock of her neck. He circled his arms tightly around her waist as they both deepen their hold on each other.

Ranma was trying his best to not to break down in front of her. She was already too shattered and he knows if now he will show her how his real state of mind is, she will become more upset.. He holds his emotions on check as he rapidly blinked his eyes to control his emotions. Ranma pulled her upward, taking her feet up from the shores, making her hold him more tightly as he also give all his heart into their reunion after so long... The more he was hearing her sobs, the more he began to feel helpless. He desperately shook his head over her shoulder and slowly takes his lips to her ears as he whisper to her,

"Please stop crying, Kane.. I am sorry.. I am sorry for everything I have done.."

"No Ranma.. It was all my fault.." Kane said in between her sobs..

"No!! No… It's all my fault!! I am such a baka! Please stop crying, Kane… It.. It really hurts.."

His voice broke as he again pressed his head on the crook of her neck.

Akane bits her lips to control her sobbing as she closed her eyes and pressed her face more deeply on his shoulder.

They both stayed like this for so long.The blowing wind and the thunders didn't even make them flinch to make them return to the hotel. Akane's sobbing eventually stopped but her breath was still hitching from time to time. She kept hugging his neck tightly as she rested her head over his cold shoulder.

Ranma held Akane's waist tightly with his one arm as his other hand was slowly caressing the nape of her neck to soothe some tension out of her. A loud thunder strikes as the wind becomes more wild which makes Ranma aware of its seriousness now.. He was not worried for himself, but he didn't want Akane to catch a cold because of this unexpected weather. He sighs tiredly and softly whispers to Akane,

"Kane.. Let's go inside.."

"No!" Akane whimpered as she shook her head and tightened her hold on him, "No, please no.."

"But you'll catch a cold if.."

"NO! I know you are going to ignore me again if I leave you now..! I won't go inside.."

"I won't do it.. I promise!"

She desperately shook her head and said,

"No!! I won't leave you!! I don't want to go inside.."

Ranma sighs defeated. He noticed her cold shivering body pressed to him tightly as the wind picked up its speed. He took a deep breath and without any word, he puts her feet down on the field. She was still clinching to his neck tightly as if her very life was depending on it.. But before Akane could realize what is happening , he swiftly carried her bridal style and started walking towards the hotel. Akane didn't protest anymore, she just closed her eyes tightly and let him take her to wherever he wanted to take her…..*

"This is ridiculous!!! This is NOT the time for any storms!! So, why does the weather turn like this?!"

Suki said irritated as she began to pace like a caged lion,

"Oh my! And our Akane is still out!"

"Should I call them?" Suki asked Kasumi as she bits her lower lip in worry..

"Of course we should, aunt Su! We have to know where our baby sister is ..! You know how afraid she becomes at the time like this..!" Nabiki said nonchalantly, chewing her grapes pleasantly.

"Yes Suki.. Call them.."

Suki nodded her head and was about to dial the phone number of Taichi. But before she could call him, they heard a knock on their door and Kasumi hurriedly went to the door to open it. They all became shock to see the person standing on their doorway, even Nabiki stopped her pleasant chewing.

Ranma was standing there wearing only his tank top and he was securely carrying Akane with him as Akane clutched to him tightly.. That scene shocked everyone there.. Suki kept looking at them with wide surprised eyes as no sound came out from her mouth. Kasumi was the first one to come to reality as she asked them with a concern-filled tone,

"Oh my! What happend to you guys? Are you guys alright?! Why is Akane like this!? Is she ok?!"

Ranma sighs tiredly as he replied in a low tone,

"I can't explain all the things now, Kasumi.. But, She is really disturbed now..She needs rest.."

Kasumi felt so pitiful looking at both their stats. She knows them very well.. He looked as tired and drained as Akane, but she could tell how hard he was trying to put up strong exteriors.. She sadly smiled at him and pointed him to one room and said in a soft tone,

"That's her room , Ranma…."

Ranma slowly nodded her head and started walking toward that room. Kasumi follows him and when they enter the room, she closes the room's door to give them some privacy.

That sound of the door brings Suki back to her senses as she went to Kasumi and said in a panic mode,

"Kasumi! Why did you close the door?! I mean.."

Kasumi turned to her with a soft smile and said,

"We believe Ranma with our eyes close, Suki.. You can't even believe how genuine he really is..!"

"But Kasumi!!"

"Think about it this way, aunt Su.. He could have taken her to his room instead of coming here.. and we wouldn't even know about it! He has to be a complete baka to come here with her to do some perverted things with her, where he has a private room for himself.. Just chill, aunt Su!! Our Ranma is not like others.. !"

Nabiki explained casually as she again began to chew on her grapes…..*

Ranma carefully carries Akane to her bed. When he reached the side of her bed and began to lay her down, she clutched his neck even more tightly and refused to let go of him.. Ranma laid her body over the bed but she was stubbornly pulling him along. He sighs as a small smile came to his lip, then he whispers to her softly,

"Akane.. You need to lay down and take rest.."

"No!!" Akane whimpered as she desperately shook her head, saying no..

"But Kane, …"

"No! I won't let you go! I know you are going to avoid me again if I let you go .." She said in a sad shaky tone, ready to cry anytime..

Ranma sighs knowingly as he replied in a genuine tone,

"I won't.. I promise.. I won't repeat my mistakes again, Akane.."

Ranma felt her arms losing around his neck, he took the chance and slowly pulled back from her hug and laid her head down over a pillow. He didn't pull back fully, their nose almost touching as they deeply looked at the eyes of each other. He gave her a small smile and softly caresses her hair, then he said in a gentle tone,

"Take some rest.. I will see ya tomorrow.."

"Please stay…" Akane asked in a soft whisper tone, making him stunned by her sudden request.

"Kane.. Ya know that I can't.. What will everyone think?"

"I don't care!!" Akane whimpers annoyingly as she clasped her hands on the straps of his tank top, " If you leave, I leave too, Ranma.."

Ranma could see how tired Akane looked. Her eyelids were literally falling from the exhaustion…. And he knows her stubbornness very well, at that moment he had no choice but to agree with her for the time being. He had mentally decided that he would leave as soon as she fell asleep.

Akane smiled pleasantly when she saw him nodding his head. She sighs as she turns to face him. She sighs with satisfaction when she felt his fingers caressing her scalp adoringly. Her eyes got heavy and in her sleepy state , she pulled his other hand up over her chest and tightly clasped his hand with both her hands…

Ranma began to feel so drowsy. When he saw her falling into a deep slumber, he sighs with relief and tries to untangle his hand from her grip. But whenever he tried to remove his hand from her, she whimpers sleepily and mumbled unrecognised things in her sleep.

He eventually gave up trying and decided to wait for some more time. But before he knew what was happening, he fell deeply asleep beside her, his head resting over her bed as Akane hugged his hand possessively over her chest...

A/N: I know I am late! I am sorry for that :)!! Some of you might be wondering why I am taking so long to post this fic, because I have posted 'Love you again' so rapidly, almost every week! And those chapters used to be so longer as well. The thing is, I was not busy at that time! And now, I barely have time for myself! Only my love for Ranma and Akane is pushing me to try harder.
