Narrator's/Third Person's P.O.V.

"Who's there?"

Their words faded into the air as they were still met with dead silence. Faintly, the sound of whispers reached their ears.

"What's happening?" Miyako asked, her eyes trying to scan the place.

As she began to panic even more, Momoko tried to calm her down, holding her friend's trembling hand firmly. "Don't worry, we're going to be fine." She said, "The Professor might have just short-circuited the fuse box… again."

"I think I've found it," Kaoru said, reaching for what seemed to be the light switch to their living room.

As she could feel it touch the ends of her fingertips, the lights suddenly went on by themselves. The sudden bright glow made the girls squint a bit, but along with it were multiple cheers and shouts coming from all directions. "Happy Graduation girls!"

The girls were suddenly taken aback as a ton of people were there, smiling at them as they pulled at their party poppers. Hundreds of confetti and streamers surrounded the girls, making them laugh in response.

The whole place was decorated for this grand occasion, something that the girls didn't expect would happen in just under an hour.

The place was embellished with multiple streamers that were in colors pink, blue, and green, in honor of them. There was also a white banner that said 'Happy Graduation!' in yellow glitters at the very center, hanging right above the guests. Along with that, there was a ton of food on the table, enough for a big feast with hundreds of people.

As for the guests, each and every one of them was dressed extravagantly in their tuxedos and dresses. Some of the visitors include the Mayor, Miss Bellum, several friends and colleagues from work, and some of the girls' relatives. And of course, the Professor, Ken, and Peach were there, standing in the very middle of the guests.

However, something that really caught the girls' eye was a big present just behind the Professor. It stood tall, almost as tall as him.

"You really gave us a scare there." Kaoru said as she chuckled. "You almost made Miyako cry."

The Professor chuckled, "I do apologize, girls, it was Ken's idea." The Professor said as Ken just scratched the back of his head.

"Sorry guys," Ken apologized. "Especially you, Miyako-nee."

Laughing, all three of the girls ran and hugged both Ken and the Professor. Though a bit taken aback, they both hugged back tightly, smiling brightly at them.

As they pulled back from the hug, the girls went and began to greet their guests. They hugged their relatives, chatted a bit with their friends, and even tried to get the Mayor to loosen up. As the trio went to get some refreshments, they were met with two people standing near the punch bowl.

One was a girl with long chestnut brown hair framing her angelic face. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of hazel, her lips plump and red. She wore a purple cocktail dress with a small slit, showing off her gorgeous legs.

The other one was a tall man, his tousled parted hair was a burgundy color. Smirking at the girls, his grey eyes were seemingly dark and mysterious. Wearing an ordinary tuxedo with the tie undone, he folded his arms over his chest.

"Well, look who finally graduated." The man said, chuckling.

The girls giggled in response. "You would have too, you know, if only you didn't drop out of high school." Miyako said.

"Yeah, well, with the work we're dealing with school was just becoming an annoyance." He replied. "Plus, we're making money so I don't really see the point of studying something that doesn't really concern the things I'm working with now."

"I don't think it would've killed you Tatsuya if you continued taking your science classes, especially since you're one of the top workers in the medical department." Momoko commented, letting out a small laugh.

"Please, every time I was with him during Biology he'd doze off five minutes into the class." The brunette girl said, looking up at the man beside her with a raised eyebrow.

Tatsuya glared at her. "Haha, very funny."

"Oh, Azami, didn't think you'd be back so soon." Miyako said, "How was it like at your Mom's?"

Giggling, she ran her fingers through her hair. "Same old, same old. I rarely get to see her anymore because of work. Rumor has it that the R.I.D. are planning to come back so I'm expecting double the workload."

"God, both of you talking about work is giving me a headache." Kaoru exclaimed, sighing. "It reminds me that I still have some things to go through back at my desk back at LUX."

"Hey now, come on, it's our party. We can talk and worry about work after we have some fun, okay?" Momoko said, rubbing Kaoru's back as her mood became all gloomy.

Azami laughed, "Well then, you guys have to know about this guy I saw back at my mom's hometown."

"Cute?" Miyako asked.

"Absolutely."

"How old?" Kaoru added.

"21."

"Single?" Momoko followed.

"Won't be anymore once I get through to him."

As the girls squealed, Tatsuya just facepalmed. "Do I really have to listen to this?"

His question was ignored as the girl began to talk amongst themselves. Taking a beer from the table, he began to drink so as to tune out their girl talk.

With everyone conversing among one another, they were suddenly silenced when the Professor cleared his throat.

"I'm dearly sorry to have interrupted your own discussion, but this party is just getting started." The professor said with a smirk.

Everyone, including the girls, was confused. The Professor then brought out a remote as he pressed a red button. And within a blink of an eye, they were all magically teleported to their backyard pool.

Amazed by the Professor's new invention, everyone began to feel excited as loud music began to play from the speakers around their backyard.

"Pool party!" Just then Kaoru's cousin, Hiroshi, jumped into the pool. Everyone then all cheered and screamed as some of them started splashing into the pool.

As she felt drops of water coming in contact with her, Miyako couldn't help but giggle at their antics. Looking at their guests, Kaoru immediately removed her heels and cannonballed into the pool, splashing water everywhere.

"Haha!" Kaoru laughed as both of her friends stared at her with eyes wide open. "Come on guys! I thought you said to have some fun?" Kaoru exclaimed while inviting both Momoko and Miyako to get into the pool with her.

Both of them looked at each other, not sure about what they should do. In the end, they both shrugged and started removing their heels. They ran and cannonballed into the pool, laughing loudly as they didn't seem to mind the cold water that enveloped their dresses.

Kaoru laughed at her friends; she never expected them to be so carefree. And while they were all giggling in delight, Momoko suddenly splashed some water at Miyako, taking the blue-eyed girl by surprise. Miyako seemed shocked at first, but almost instantly, she had a smirk plastered on her face.

"Two can play that game!" Miyako exclaimed as she splashed some water on both Momoko and Kaoru. It was their turn to become shocked at their friend's shenanigans.

"Oh, it's on!"

And just like that, they were all in a splash fight.

This was going to be a very long and fun night indeed.

It was already midnight in the Powerpuff Estate, and all three girls were on the couch. As they began to converse among themselves, Peach suddenly jumped up on Momoko's lap as he wanted to join their discussion, making the girls cuddle the little robotic dog before going back to their conversation.

They still had their dresses on, but thanks to one of the Professor's inventions, their dresses were dry and clean.

The Professor and Ken were busy putting leftovers in the fridge. The guests really had a big appetite, having eaten almost every dish prepared for them. Said guests have left minutes ago after exchanging goodbyes with the celebrants.

After the Professor had fixed everything, he sat next to Miyako on their couch.

Looking at the Professor, Kaoru lightly tapped his shoulder, trying to get his attention. "Professor, what's that gift over there?" Kaoru asked, pointing her finger to the gigantic present that was left untouched and wrapped.

"Oh, thanks, Kaoru. I almost forgot. Come with me girls." He said as he stood up and went towards the present.

The girls stood from where they sat and followed the professor. Once everyone was surrounding the present, including Ken and Peach, the Professor immediately took the wrapper and tore it into shreds.

The present turned out to be a glass display case that contained three black belts. The belts had a compact in the middle, much like the girls' own white belts. However, instead of the letter P, all the compacts had the letter D in the middle. The one on the right had an emerald green compact, the one in the middle had the compact in scarlet red, and the one on the right had it in sapphire blue.

After further examining the present, Momoko was the first one to speak up.

"Professor, are those the new belts you were talking about?" Momoko asked with a little excitement in her voice.

"Yes! Well, actually yes and no." He replied.

"We were supposed to get new belts?" Kaoru asked, looking over the glass case. "How come?"

"Well, I'll get to answering any questions later, let me explain what they are first." The professor said, taking out the belts. "These are new belts but these are not the ones you expect. They provide you girls with new powers, new weapons, and new clothes. Now, why don't you girls go ahead and try them on so we'll see if it works."

The girls excitedly removed their white belts as they put on their new ones, patiently waiting for what was going to happen. Just then, a bright light engulfed the girls as they started floating in mid-air. They were a bit shocked, but they suddenly felt like they were in a trance as their appearance began to change.

"What's happening to them, Professor?" Peach asked, a bit worried. The Professor then looked at him, smiling softly as he tried to calm down the little pooch.

"It's okay, this is how it works." He explained as he watched the girls transform into their new attire.

After a few seconds, the light disappeared and now they were now wearing their new super-powered clothes.

Their outfit included their usual dress, now in the shades scarlet red, sapphire blue, and emerald green as opposed to their usual signature colors. Their vests were replaced by a mini leather jacket, bearing many zippers and pockets with a letter D and R embossed on the left shoulder.

In contrast to their original outfit, their legs were now adorned with black stockings. The new outfit also replaced their iconic shoes with a pair of black wedged sneakers that were outlined in white and their new designated signature colors. To complete their outfit, they had black chokers with the letter D etched on it and black fingerless gloves.

Along with their outfits, their hairstyles also changed.

Blossom's long auburn hair was spikier, having black highlights in her hair; her signature pink bow was now replaced with a smaller black bow with a red outline. Bubbles's hair was still in pigtails but now her blonde hair had prominent black roots; her hair having a neat wavy look to it. Buttercup's hairstyle replaced the diamond clips with her own green hairband while her hair was now in a black to green ombre hairstyle.

But their hair wasn't the only thing that changed, it was their eye color as well. Blossom's delicate bubblegum pink eyes were now a piercing scarlet red color. Bubbles' eyes were now sapphire blue, replacing her sweet and innocent sky blue ones. And finally, Buttercup's once lime green eyes were now emerald green.

"Woah, what's with the sudden change of appearance Professor?" Ken asked while staring at the girls in awe. "It's kind of weird looking at you three like this."

Blossom looked at her clothes in shock, grabbing at the hem of her dress and gazing at her own leather jacket. "It's actually a pretty nice style, Professor." She commented. "Not bad at all."

"Well, he did ask me to come up with a few designs, but I think this was all the suggestions fused into one rocking outfit." Bubbles said, giggling. "Though, I have to admit, I didn't know what his reasoning was in asking me until now."

"Man, can we actually keep these as our Powerpuff outfit?" Buttercup asked, already posing in her new style. "I could actually get used to this."

Blossom crossed her arms over her chest, chuckling. "Why? Is it throwing you back to your edgy phase?"

"Or maybe her goth phase?" Bubbles added, laughing with Blossom.

Buttercup rolled her eyes, a little annoyed by their side-comments. "Oh, hush it, will you?" Buttercup snapped. "But seriously though, why do we need these?"

"Have you girls heard the rumor?" The professor asked, his head hung low. "About how the R.I.D. is planning on coming back to wreck more havoc?"

All three of them nodded, having remembered the brief mention of it from their friends. "It is just a rumor, right?" Miyako asked, a bit worried.

"I can't say for certain, but it's better to be safe than sorry."

The three of them looked at each other, their faces serious. It has been two years now since the R.I.D. or better known as the Ravens in Disguise were inactive. It was a notorious organization that consisted of many criminals and villains, including those that the girls fought since they became heroes.

If the rumors were proven to be true, then there's no telling what could happen to them and the city.

"Well, all of that aside, before graduation, Momoko thought of a plan to infiltrate and destroy the R.I.D. from the inside." He said, "But for someone to enter their base, one has to be a villain. Those black belts completely change your looks and it gives you special powers like I said last time."

Blossom tilted her head to the side, a bit confused. "Well, we've definitely got the looks down, but what if they try to get our DNA or fingerprints? Wouldn't it blow our cover?"

"I've covered that problem, don't worry." Professor reassured, his grin widening. "I have perfected my identity changing feature on your belts, it's like the prototypes we use at LUX and your rings."

Their eyes then focused on the tiny ring detail that they overlooked. It was the same ring as they had in their Powerpuff outfits, albeit in their new signature colors. Though it may be small, a few years ago, they discovered that as long as they wear this ring, they'll be recognized as the Powerpuff Girls, removing the need for them to appear in public wearing their superhero outfits.

"And when I say it completely changes your looks, I mean it." The Professor continued. "Your DNA and fingerprints have been altered in this form, so when they scan you, you won't be known as the Powerpuff Girls anymore."

The girls were in awe. "Woah, does that mean it can finally be used on our hero belts and not just the rings?" Bubbles asked.

"I'm still looking into that, but let's get back to the topic. I had my own adjustments to your weapons."

"Like what?" Buttercup wondered.

The Professor then took out a remote control, pressing a button on it as a hologram was projected from it. "Well, for starters, instead of your usual weapons, you now all have the weapons given to you back then. It seems efficient and will eliminate suspicions on your equipment. And if I recall correctly, they were the weapons you used in training when you started in LUX."

The girls' eyes were fixed on the hologram. There were a set of daggers, senbons, and a katana, each having been newly customized to match their signature color. Each of those were a weapon in which they specialized in, having trained with it for almost four years now since they joined LUX, a secret branch of the National Police Agency.

Despite being heroes, they had to start from the bottom in training. They weren't allowed to use their hero forms so that they would still know how to fight without the help of their powers. They may seem like average weapons, but these items were important to them.

They bore a painful memory. But to them, these weapons were a reminder that it was their duty to eliminate all evil and bring those who were affected by these crimes and tragedies to justice.

No matter what happens, everything they do is for the greater good.

"It will suffice." Blossom replied, feeling the blades in a hidden pocket strapped to her thighs.

"I have also enhanced some of your abilities to further aid you in your mission."

He then began gesturing to each girl individually, elaborating one their new acquired abilities. "Blossom now has control over ice and X-ray vision. For Bubbles, I gave her the ability to manipulate electricity and the power of invisibility which will let her turn herself and any object she touches invisible. And lastly, Buttercup can now use wind powers and teleport to any place within a limited range."

"Whoa, I've got to check this out." Buttercup said, suddenly warping to the kitchen. A second later, she was by the doorway. "Man, this is cool!" She exclaimed as she warped back beside her friends.

"That might actually come in handy." Blossom commented, amused by her friend's excitement.

After giving a brief explanation on their powers, he took out another small remote. With a push of a button, they were teleported to the fifth floor of the house. The Professor walked towards the control panel, typing and turning on some switches.

Bubbles gave the Professor a worried look. "What exactly do we have to do while we're there?"

"Remember the guy you arrested a few months ago? A scientist that said that he was a member of the R.I.D.?"

"Tall man, brown hair, wears a white suit and smells like week-old gym socks?" Buttercup asked, making Bubbles and Blossom look at her confusedly with the details she just gave.

"That's the one." Professor replied, still typing away at his giant computer. "Well, he started talking about everything he knew about the agency. With the details he provided, we were able to formulate a plan."

Blossom walked towards the computer, facing the girls. "It'll be an easy undercover job. We'll gain their trust, gather information, and destroy the agency from the inside without causing any suspicion."

Buttercup raised an eyebrow at her, a bit wary of the rather vague plan they had. "In what way exactly?"

"For now, once we enter the agency, we'll work on eliminating agents first before anything else." Blossom answered. "If anything else comes up, we'll assess the matter without blowing our cover."

"Do the senior members in LUX know about this? You did ask for permission for us to do this right?" Buttercup asked, raising her eyebrow at both the Professor and Blossom.

They looked at each other before Blossom eventually broke the news. "This mission is actually a secret from LUX."

"Does the chief know?" Bubbles asked their leader.

"No, only a few trusted members have been told about this."

"How come?" Bubbles wondered, a bit worried. "Wouldn't we be breaking the rules?"

"Professor and I have been discussing some things… and we figured that doing this on our own would be best." Blossom answered, "I'll explain everything in due time, just trust us."

Bubbles and Buttercup looked at each other for a moment, their expressions seemed a bit wary. But after giving it some thought, they eventually agreed.

"Anything about the agency that we need to know?" Bubbles asked. "What will we expect when we get there?"

"Well, for starters, Professor Jones said that the place is a large castle with an advanced technology system." Professor said, showing an incomplete blueprint on the screen. "We were only able to create a base model from the details Professor Jones provided, but this is mostly the layout of the ground floor of its headquarters. All operations they do are mainly done on this floor in which, as you can see, they have multiple rooms that serve different purposes."

The Professor then began gesturing towards several key notes written on the blueprint. "Members are referred to as agents. They complete missions given to them according to their abilities. To properly organize the agents based on their abilities and powers, the agency uses a ranking system in which agents are taken to this room for analysis and placement of their ranking."

"He didn't give any description of that place?" Bubbles asked, pointing at the blank room on the blueprint that the Professor was describing.

"Well, most agents do go to that room for their initial ranking, but the Professor said that he wasn't subjected to that kind of test."

Butterfly raised her eyebrow in confusion. "Most agents?"

"That's correct." The Professor answered. "Professor Jones didn't exactly have any fighting abilities of his own. He was accepted because of his knowledge in science, that's why it was solely the higher ups of the agency that chose his rank."

"After talking with Mr. Jones, we were able to classify each rank accordingly." Blossom added as the Professor showed the list of ranking. The list had been arranged with letters, starting at the very top with the letter S, followed by the letters A, B, C, D, and E.

She pointed at the three bottom letters. "C, D, and E agents could be called the pawns of the agency. From Mr. Jones's description, they are mainly rookies that help with higher ranking agents. They have basic fighting skills and are mostly kept as assistants and trainees in the facility."

"They assist in what way exactly?" Buttercup asked.

"Basically anything that helps the agency in any way." Blossom answered. "Whether it be cooking, serving, personal assistants, secretaries, training partners, you name it."

"They have chefs in the agency?" Bubbles wondered, a sweatdrop coming down from the side of her head.

Blossom shrugged in response. "It seemed like a joke at first but it'll make sense later." She then pointed at the letters A and B. "Agents ranked in the A and B category have a bigger purpose in the agency. They mostly consist of people who have great knowledge in science, technology, or fighting, and most have been training for a long time and are given high positions. Mr. Jones, for example, was placed in this category, being a B-ranked agent."

"So, it's kind of like LUX." Butterfly commented.

"For the most part, yes."

"And just like LUX, they have different divisions that tackle different fields." Professor explained. "The Professor was able to name a few, namely the Training and Security Division, Science Division, Research Division, Technology and Intelligence Division, and the Robotics and Engineering Division."

Buttercup crossed her arms over her chest. "This place is more elaborate and sophisticated than I expected."

"And we're just getting started." Blossom said, now gesturing towards the top rank. "The S rank agents are our main problem. They head each and every division of the organization; Members of the Amoeba Boys and one new face head the Science Division that Mr. Jones was assigned to."

"And how many S-rank agents are not the usual villains we fight?" Bubbles asked.

"Mr. Jones said that there might only be a few since the standards for the S-ranking are very high, just like his boss in his division."

Butterfly scoffed. "That's some biased shit right there." She said, "I say we just make this quick and go there right now. I mean, it's not like we haven't kicked those guys' asses already."

"It's not that easy, Buttercup." The Professor said in a stern voice. "There is one person in the agency that is a great threat for all of us."

Blossom then typed on the keyboard, showing a large diagram that has pictures of all the known members of the agency. The main villains were on the top with the other agents on the bottom, still arranged according to rank. However, one particular box was blank, and it was on top of the S-rank agents.

"There is only one mastermind behind all of this, the one who controls everyone in the agency." Blossom pointed out, revealing an alias below the blank box.

"Your Highness?" Bubbles wondered.

Blossom nodded in response. "Their leader is someone they refer to by that name. He is the one who pulls the strings on everything that happens in that agency. He, alongside other high-ranking agents, are the ones who give out missions to the agents. He is also the one who makes the final decision in ranking recruits once they apply for the agency."

Buttercup frowned at what Blossom explained to them. "So, we have to actually impress this guy?"

"Well, we're kind of aiming for you girls to reach the S-rank level." The Professor replied, indirectly answering her question.

"We just have to pass the test they give us, right? Whatever that is." Bubbles asked again.

"Basically, yes." Blossom confirmed. "But now, let me discuss the last key point we have to look into."

The Professor then put up another blueprint. It was another basic layout that had many floors that had its own hallway and rooms. "In the agency, every agent has a room. Depending on your rank, you can have a fully-furnished and modern room or have a plain dorm-like space that you share with other agents."

"Wait, wait, wait, we're actually going to live there?" Buttercup asked, utterly shocked. "We're actually going to stay there for a few months just for this?!"

"It's the safest and most efficient plan, Buttercup." Blossom explained. "Plus, it explains why we haven't been able to capture them. Their primary location was always a mystery to us, now that we have finally found it, now is the time to strike.

Buttercup rubbed her temples in frustration. "I think you're forgetting the fact that we're supposed to go to college in a few months."

The Professor chuckled. "Don't worry, I'm sure we could talk about this with the mayor if ever your mission requires you girls to stay for a bit longer."

"I promise that we'll do everything we can to make sure we'll be done before school starts." Blossom stated before directing her attention back to Buttercup. "The Professor and I have already been planning this for almost a month now, Kaoru. If we go there and gather information on that agency, we might be able to put a stop on a greater threat that might happen in the future."

Buttercup raised her eyebrow at her friend, "How do we even know if they're planning something?"

"Think about it; they started causing trouble three years ago, but then only after a year, they suddenly disappear and rarely terrorize the city anymore. They have advanced equipment and technology as well as hundreds of people in their agency with strong and unusual abilities. They have all of that and still no trouble?"

Buttercup remained silent at that point. She had a point. It has been almost two years since the R.I.D. became stagnant; even though it lessened the crimes happening in Tokyo, it didn't feel right. It was almost as if it was just for show, like an opening act to a main event.

And nobody knew how it was going to end.

"So," The Professor finally said, trying to break the silence. "Do any of you have questions?"

"Just one." Bubbles replied, looking over the blueprint on the screen one more time.

"What is it?"

Bubbles looked down at her new belt, "Who will we be known as?"

Professor began typing again on the computer, revealing three separate profiles with the girls' new looks. "During your stay in the agency, you will be known as the Danger Rave Girls." He said, the mouse encircling the name that was written in bold letters on top of their profiles.

"Danger Rave, huh?" Buttercup said, a smirk plastering on her face as she clenched her fist. "I like it."

"Your names will be as follows: Blossom will now be called Dark Bloom, Bubbles will be Deadly Bright, and lastly, Buttercup will be Killer Butterfly." The Professor briefly explained as he zoomed in on the profiles on the screen.

"I only wrote a brief background story for you girls," He said, "You will be known as the three girls created by Professor Jones. You acquired powers using the Powerpuff Girls' DNA but were later abandoned by your father as he went to join the organization. When your "creator" was arrested, you sought revenge.

"Once anyone asks questions that cannot be answered by the background in the profile I submitted, it'll be your job to answer those questions in a convincing and sensible way."

Bubbles sighed, "Hopefully they don't, it's already going to be hard for us to like a villain when we enter that place."

"Just get in touch with your inner bad girl, Miyako." Buttercup suggested, snickering. "I mean, come on, it's not that hard to act tough."

"Maybe for you." She replied, sighing. "I'll go to bed, it's already getting late."

Blossom nodded, letting out a soft yawn, "We all need to rest now, the R.I.D. expects us to be there a few days from now. We're going to train for a bit before we make our move."

"Let's just hope the food there doesn't suck." Butterfly commented. "It'll help us tolerate the atmosphere there. With a hundred agents working non-stop, I'll bet that the place smells like an old gym."

The Professor chuckled, picking up Ken and Peach who were already fast asleep. "Good night, girls."

"Good night to you too, Professor." The girls replied simultaneously, smiling brightly at him.

"See you guys later." Buttercup said, smirking.

"What's that supposed to me—" Blossom was suddenly caught off mid-question as Buttercup suddenly disappeared. "Oh."

Bubbles giggled softly, looking at her now red-eyed friend. "Elevators it is then?"

"Elevators it is."
