Commander McCoy called a meeting of his top marshals, and he told them his plan. He would send a message to the United States saying that the ARO was allowing a private V.I.P tour of the Pride Lands in search for agricultural resources that would be profitable. Once the Americans arrive, the ARO would give them the promised tour going deep into the Pride Lands. Then when the Lion Guard sees the tourists, Kion will use his roar on them. The U.S would label it as an attack on their people, which would force them to join the war.

Everyone was shocked that Commander McCoy would come up with such a extreme plan. "I understand that not all of you are on board, but at this point what choice do we have?" Said Commander McCoy. "Sir, listen to yourself. We're talking about using innocent civilians as bait." Said Marshal Wolsey. "It's a damn shame, I know. But their sacrifices won't be in vein, when we get the most powerful country on the face of the planet on our side in this bloody war." Said Commander McCoy.

Finally everyone conceded and decided to go forth with the plan. A message was sent to the United States explaining the tour, and the United States replied back within a week. They agreed to the tour, but under the strict condition that the tourists would be under the full military protection of the ARO at all times.

The ARO of course agreed to that condition, and so the grand tour of the Pride Lands was announced to the American public. A group of 80 Americans came to the Pride Lands, the group was a large collection mostly made up of just ordinary American citizens, but there were also farmers, miners, and blacksmith, looking to make a profit from whatever resources they'd might find.

At around 10 am, the tourists were all escorted out of their temporary rooms which were provided to them by generous soldiers, then went up to Commander McCoy.

"I am Commander Gene McCoy of the Alliance to Restore Osha. Now I'm sure you all have heard about our ongoing campaign to take over the Pride Lands savanna, so I must warn you all that during our tour, the Pride Land's Lion Guard will also be doing their daily patrol. But, this is no cause for alarm. As you all will be under the protection of the ARO's grand army. I wish you all the best of luck with what you might find." Said Commander McCoy.

The tourists all got nervous at the mention of the Lion Guard, and some were considering leaving early out of fear, but they soon found out that leaving the tour early wasn't allowed, so the ones who wanted to leave had no choice.

The soldiers all guided the tourists into Pride Lands territory, and they all became fixated on the Pride Land's beauty. As the tourists all went to go claim their natural resources, Kion saw what was happening and gasped. He didn't know that the people he saw were totally innocent, he thought they were just very poorly prepared soldiers. Kion sprang into action by blocking the path of a large farmer from Georgia with a long gray beard.

"Hey! Back off!" Said Kion while growling. "Hey hey hey, just what do you think you're doing you little critter! Now scat!" Said the farmer. He began trying to poke Kion in the face with his rake, which made Kion angry, and that's when the big fight broke out.

Kion and the farmer started screaming threats at each other, and pretty soon the other tourists started joining in. Ono saw the fight unfolding from the sky and fetched the rest of the Lion Guard. They came to the spot right away, and just like Kion, they started shouting at the tourists to leave, and the tourists shouted back.

Pretty soon, even Simba joined in after he heard all of the arguing from Pride Rock. The tourists quickly understood that the lion they all saw was the king of the Pride Lands, and they all quickly moved their attention to him.

Commander McCoy and the soldiers saw what was happening, and many of the soldiers started to have a bad feeling for where this was going. "I don't like this, sir." Said one soldier. "Remember, this is all part of the plan." Said Commander McCoy.

From within the fight, there was a lot of yelling, shoving, and even rock throwing. "JUST GET OUT OF HERE, ALL OF YA!!! THIS IS OUR LAND NOW!!!" Said the same farmer. "No! This land here is part of my domain! You have no right to just take it!" Said Simba. That's when Simba suddenly got a rock thrown into his face coming from out of the crowd. A drop of blood fell from Simba's nose, and that's when Kion snapped.

Kion gathered up all of his anger bottling up inside of him, and got up onto a rock. "Get… Away… From… My… DAD!!!" Shouted Kion. Kion then let out a very strong roar, but this time it was different. The clouds which appeared in the sky were much darker and stormier then usual, and the roar itself sounded much more louder and frightening.

The Roar struck at the crowd like a ton of bricks. Almost all of them fell to the ground with pain beyond belief. Some of the tourists were killed instantly, while others laid on the ground in deep agonizing pain. Commander McCoy saw the carnage and realized it was much more then he had wanted.

He quickly arranged his troops into their positions, and they fired upon the Lion Guard. The Lion Guard was pushed back by a little bit, and that was enough for Commander McCoy to make his men cease fire. Commander McCoy then jumped off of his horse to tend to the wounded. When the Lion Guard saw what was happening, they all came to the sudden and cruel realization.

"Hevi kabisa! I just roared to a herd of innocent humans!" Said Kion. "Which is funny, because until now I never even knew humans came in herds." Said Bunga. Commander McCoy looked through the injured crowd, and he saw a teenage boy on the ground coughing on his own blood, he had been seriously wounded by the Roar.

"Son, look at me! Can you breathe!?" Asked Commander McCoy. The boy nodded when his father ran to his side looking very worried. One of the uninjured tourists saw the Lion Guard standing at a distance. "Murderers!!!" He shouted. He tried running up to the Lion Guard, but Commander McCoy stopped him not wanting there to be any more casualties. But Kion didn't even feel like using the Roar at that moment due to what had just happened.

"Roar at me too if you dare!!! You will all suffer the anger of the lord!!!" The man shouted. "Sir listen to me now! These people need tending to! We'll deal with the Lion Guard later, and justice will take it's course!" Said Commander McCoy. The man managed to calm himself down, and he went over to tend to the wounded people.

Back at Pride Rock, Kion was sobbing in the corner of the den because of the guilt of using the Roar in anger. "Boy, I've never seen Kion like this." Said Kiara. "Kiara, go outside, I need to talk to your brother alone." Said Simba. Kiara went outside and Simba sat down next to Kion. "I'm sorry dad… I… I didn't mean to…" Kion couldn't finish, he was just too choked up.

"No no it's okay, Kion. You just did it to protect me." Said Simba. Despite the Roar being used in anger reminding Simba of his evil Uncle Scar, Simba still kept his composure and sympathized with Kion. "Everyone makes mistakes every now and then. It's completely normal, and they teach us to be more careful in the future." Said Simba, as he wiped away Kion's tears. "Don't worry, we're all still very proud of you for leading the Lion Guard." Said Simba, as he then hugged his cub.

The next day, news got back to the U.S about the incident, and the government was outraged, partly because of the ARO's failure to properly protect the people. 31 people were dead along with 9 soldiers, while another 27 were wounded. Unfortunately, one tourist would also die from his injuries just a few hours after the incident. Some time later, Commander McCoy would go to the United Nations, and he makes a speech about the war between the ARO and the Pride Lands. Back when Osha was around, it had been a part of the United Nations, but Osha withdrew from it 10 years before it's collapse.

Commander McCoy spoke well in front of all of the world's representatives, but his speech was full of exaggerated facts. He stated that the Pride Landers saw all humans as inferior beings, which were destined to be under their tyrannic rule, and that they had a goal of destroying the United States and all other countries, along with all of the world's religions. Basically, Commander McCoy's main point was that if the Pride Lands were to win the war, it would mean destruction and ruin for many leaders and nations across the world, with unthinkable loss of human life. Of course, those were all just lies. The Pride Landers had no intentions of killing off humanity and conquering the world, all they were doing was defending their homes.

Commander McCoy was hoping that all of the representatives would really take note of his speech, and that not only would the United States join the war, but a bunch of other countries as well. But unfortunately, most of the representatives didn't really care about the whole thing, as the countries they were representing simply had their own problems to deal with. But in the end, Commander McCoy got what he had wanted.

On August 30th, 1998, the United States officially joined the war against the Pride Lands alongside the ARO and France. A shipment of 5000 American troops began making their way across the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the Pride Lands.
