He took another sip of the alcoholic drink, taking in the smooth flavor of the soju.

It wasn't his first time drinking alcohol. There had been a few times where the Camp had been completely cut off from supplies for a few days. Though those few days were often enough to finish all of the rations as they were not sitting around doing nothing all day. They were running around in gunfights and that mean that the people who survived were hungry.

It was rare, but at one point in time, the only thing there was to drink was beer the locals had made and the tainted water of the river.

Obviously, they decided that being drunk was better than getting food poisoning.

It was better than nothing and Ijin wouldn't be surprised if he found out that the beer had more calories than the tubers they had been forging for.

Although drinking the soju just made him realize how horrible the beer had been back then. He was going to have to be careful with its consumption. He had no idea how strong the beer had been back then (Though according to the older mercenaries, it was strong) and he didn't know if he would have a different tolerance.

He probably would?

It was a different type of alcohol, after all, he most likely would.

He could drink at least three bottles back then before he started to get that buzzed feeling, so maybe he would be fine with the same amount?

Just to play it safe, he was just going to have a bottle and a half.

"Oi," he blinked as he took a sip from the bottle and looked up. He almost cringed when he realized that they were all giving him annoyed looks," Don't drink straight from the bottle you asshole!"

?

Was he not supposed to do that?

… it's probably not the same as beer.

Dammit.

"Are you trying to get black out drunk?!"

He looked down at the nearly empty bottle, before looking back up at Hyeokjin, who seemed genuinely concerned," It's not that strong?"

Jaehyung pushed a glass of water towards him," It always knocks newbies onto their ass. Drink some water and eat something before you it hits you."

Oh.

Good thing he wasn't a newbie at drinking.

He finished the rest of the bottle, ignoring the way they sputtered, and protested him gulping down the last few drops.

"I'll be fine," He picked up the water and started drinking it (Hangovers were never fun)," This isn't my first time drinking."

"Its not?!"

He hummed before he stupidly said," Sometimes it was the only thing that was safe to drink when I was a kid."

They sputtered again and nearly demanded he tell them what the hell he meant by that.

Ijin just smiled.

"I told you I didn't grow up in Korea."
