Magic when fully mastered and understood can be considered the most powerful and also most unpredictable, only those who use it properly and responsibly have the power to not only change the world, but also do the impossible, and Naruto Uzumaki son of Hecate is proof of this feat, what path will this lead our favorite blonde shinobi onto, as the Champion of his mother his path is never clear, we shall see where it takes him.
Hey guys it's Bahamutsoulking with the next chapter of Hecate's Battle-Mage.
It makes me very happy when people enjoy my stories, and those who don't share the same enthusiasm I'm sorry that you don't feel that way.
I recieved a question about Naruto having created his own familiars like in 'Hecate's Knight Wolf', that's a good question and I actually have an idea for this.
And about making Percy useless, no that's not what I'm going for, Naruto shocking him with a handshake was just a prank.
And this is no copy from 'Sun's Heir', who the hell gave you the idea that it was.
Naruto's personality is just in the gray area of the black and white, at times he will just be mischievous, crafty, creative and cunning.
And what's wrong with having a favorite character?, you don't see me questioning other people about the characters they use as main characters on a daily basis. If they have a favorite character, then that's fine it's their point of view.
So don't criticize people for having favorite characters, and try to be open minded.
Before you tell me to be open-minded, my mind is open enough, are yours?
And no, I'm not bashing Percy at all. He's just paranoid after what happened with Luke's betrayal.
Now I got a question about Bianca being more of a sister to Naruto than a love interest, and so against my better judgement I decided to add two more to the harem, one from Naruto and one from Percy Jackson.
The one from Naruto will be Konan, while the one from Percy Jackson will be Bianca and that's it, no more additions to the harem please as it has enough as it does.
Now to those who are curious about the prank Naruto pulled on Apollo, you'll see in this chapter.
(Yes, I revealed their age in the editing last chapter because I prefer the movie version of the ages to the prophecy.)
(Also I forgot to mention that Naruto after spending so much time with Hecate and Circe developed a strong accent, basically Naruto has the same accent as John Constantine from Justice League Dark: Apokolips War in this story so imagine him using it.)
Let's dive right into the story!
Chapter 2: The Ride back to Camp (Edited - 8/22/2021)
Naruto and Artemis with the hunters and demigods were waiting for Artemis' idiot brother Apollo to appear, due to the cold weather Naruto pulled his staff out and conjured up heat for everyone. Everyone thought his staff was pretty badass especially Thalia who had stars in her eyes at how awesome it looked.
The Hunters were unhappy about going to Camp Half-Blood for the times they had to deal with arrogant demigods trying to either pick fights with them or just shamelessly flirting with them before they lost their tempers and either knocked out the demigods or shot arrows at their backsides to make them stop which rarely to never works.
Naruto himself was preparing for Apollo as he had a bit of a rivalry with him as he and him didn't quite get along on some topics, and one was being closer to Artemis than Apollo himself was.
While he was waiting, he was talking to the demigods and Annabeth walked up to him first.
"N-Naruto? Is that you? I mean, is it really you?" she asked with hope in her voice, Naruto smiles warmly and rubs her head affectionately.
"Yes Annie-chan, it's me." said Naruto with warmth in his voice, which in turn makes Annabeth start crying tears of joy and jump into his arms hugging him like he was going to disappear again.
Percy couldn't believe his eyes to what he was seeing, here was Annabeth the proudest and smartest demigod he knew was crying and hugging this pretty boy demigod. Yet he couldn't shake off the jealousy he felt when he saw them embrace.
Annabeth lets Naruto go with a blush and says "By the gods Naruto, we all thought you died when you disappeared.", and Naruto says "It takes a lot more than a small army of monsters from Hades to put me down.".
Thalia walks up to him and asks "Are you really back? For good this time?", "Yes Thalia-chan, I'm back and I'm never leaving again." said Naruto with a smile.
"Good," said Thalia with a smirk which made Naruto feel a bit tense "Cause I'm not gonna regret this." she continued as she smacked him across the face.
"Okay first I deserved that, and second oww! that hurt." groaned Naruto as Thalia growls out "Damn right it hurt, that's for not coming back to us after you left.".
"I'm sorry that I didn't return after I left, but I have a reason for doing so as I was rescuing demigods and nymphs with that sort of thing." said Naruto with a sad smile. Thalia begins to cry as he said this, and hugs him as tightly as Annabeth hugged him.
"Don't ever scare us like that again, and don't ever leave us again." said Thalia in tears, and Naruto hugs back saying "Can't promise that, but I'll try my best.".
This made Percy even more surprised. Ever since he's known Thalia for the 2 years he was at Camp and she has never shown this side of her, just who is this guy and how does he have this kind of effect on his friends.
And after a few minutes of waiting, dawn was arising and a bright light was approaching which in turn makes Artemis and the others to shield their eyes from the brightness.
When the light died down, they unshielded their eyes and saw a young man with sandy-blonde hair next to a red convertible Maserati Spyder.
"Woah, Apollo's hot" muttered Thalia, and Percy says "Oh I get it, he's the Sun God." in which gets a swat from Annabeth who says "It was rhetorical Seaweed-Brain".
The man's expression was cheerful and he instantly brightened up when he saw Artemis "Lil sis, whats..." he began to say until he saw Naruto next to his sister, his expression changed dramatically from cheerful to annoyed and says "Hello son of Hecate, haven't seen you in two years." he said with a small frown.
The demigods were surprised at Apollo's change of attitude when he saw Naruto, "That prank you pulled on me, the illusion of a sunset with two guys with soup-bowl haircuts and giant eyebrow monstrosities on their faces hugging each other while wearing nothing but speedos and screaming about 'Flames of Youth' which traumatized me so badly that I couldn't do my beautiful sunsets properly for a while. Added a rainbow to make it worse didn't you?" he said as he had never been so humiliated in his immortal life. (Don't visualize that, you'll burn your corneas out and have nightmares! Naruto fans will know what this is about.)
The expressions on the demigods were a mix of horror and trying not to laugh, well it was horrified green faces on the guys with the girls being the ones trying really hard not to laugh. Until Thalia couldn't hold it in anymore and started laughing like a Hyena on a sugar rush.
Artemis and her hunters as well as Zoë and Phoebe start giggling like crazy, Naruto leans on his staff with an innocent look and smirk on his face "Apollo you're not still mad about that, are you?" he asked innocently. Which made Artemis and the hunters start giggling even harder, and the demigoddesses couldn't take it anymore and they just started laughing with Thalia laughing even harder.
"Yes! But this is about something else, lil sis has called me in for a favor that I would help bring the hunters and demigods to Camp Half-Blood." said Apollo with narrowed eyes as he still held a grudge against Naruto for the illusion he used on him 2 years ago.
"Oh and one thing Apollo that night last year, I didn't appreciate the 'gift' of 3 Call Girls in a box wrapped up like a Christmas present that you and Hermes sent as you were trying to make me be like you clowns." said Naruto with narrowed eyes of his own. This caught the ears of Artemis, Zoë, Phoebe, Bianca, Annabeth and Thalia as said girls were now glaring at the God of the sun with anger with Artemis' angry glare at him was very strong.
"Aw come on, you're not still mad about that are you? It was payback for the illusion prank you pulled on me." said Apollo with a smirk. Naruto angerly says "You're damn right I'm mad, what the fuck is wrong with you and Hermes sending a trio of sluts after me. They chased me all around my apartment trying to fuck the shit out of me, I had to use my magic to wipe their memories and send them off making sure they didn't get raped by gangsters. And look behind you.".
Apollo looks behind himself and sees his sister Artemis glaring at him very angerly at what she heard, "Apollo, I will castrate both you and Hermes if you do it again." she growled making the sun god pale and cover his family jewels and the guys in the demigod group do the same. Meanwhile with Hermes who was taking care of business with deliveries felt a shiver in his spine as he felt the urge to cover his family jewels wondering why he should do so in the first place.
"Oh and you better hope that I don't tell my mom, Circe or Tayuya about this as they would have a field day with you." growled Naruto making Apollo pale even more at this.
"You're so lucky that we hold you with high regards for what you did to Priapus, if we didn't then you would have been smited by now." grumbled Apollo, and Artemis told her brother to bring the demigods and her Hunters to the camp and told him not to flirt with her hunter during the whole trip while she hunts for the beast she's been tracking.
"What can I say, I have a Kitsune's Luck on my side." said Naruto bragging about his luck, and Annabeth with a smirk asks "How bout that time where Lord Hermes finally defeated you in that one prank war you two had?".
"Or what about the time where Khione froze you in place just to get a kiss?" asked Thalia with a grin which made Naruto's ego get knocked down a few pegs "You're no fun, Hermes got freaking lucky and Khione caught me off guard when I was talking to Circe who still won't let me live that down." whined Naruto crying anime style.
After a good laugh at Naruto's misfortune, Artemis then set off to hunt the beast before the titans get it.
Apollo noticed that Percy's hand twitched a bit and he asks "He shocked you when he gave you a handshake didn't he?", and Percy was shocked at this "How did you know?" he asked.
"Because I did the same thing to him." said Naruto with a grin, "In front of all the Olympians." he finished making the hunters and demigods shocked at this with Apollo having a rain cloud above his head which made the hunters start giggling at.
"Lord Zeus must have been really mad that you used lightning in front of him." said Percy shocked that Naruto was still alive after that, "No it was really funny, they all laughed even Zeus was laughing hard." said Naruto shocking them again.
"In fact, it was so funny Zeus started doing it." finished Naruto with a smirk, and Apollo grumbles out "Dad's been having way too much fun doing that since you did it to me, and you better hope I don't tell him that you sent him that squeaky toy two years ago.".
Naruto had an innocent look on his face again, this made the Hunters and Demigods laugh again.
"Now let's get to camp before dad tries to zap me again." said Apollo, and they start on their way to Camp Half-Blood.
(The Bus)
Naruto was the one driving due to him covering for Thalia as she was majorly afraid of heights, which he found that out by flying over a forest with his magic with her in his arms tightly clinging to him in fear that she would fall.
Percy who was still curious about Naruto looks to Annabeth and demands/says "Alright, I want answers," he wasn't going to let this go. "How do you know Naruto and when did you meet?" he asked.
Annabeth and Thalia sighed at this, the son of Poseidon was so stubborn it wasn't even funny so they decide that they should tell him.
"Alright Percy, we'll tell you." said Annabeth with Thalia nodding.
"We're sure you remember the time that we told you that me, Annabeth, Luke and Grover were running to Camp Half-Blood from an army of monsters years ago?" asked Thalia to which Percy nods at.
"What we did not tell you was that Naruto was with us at that time, he made sure we survived the monsters that we encountered." continued Thalia with Annabeth nodding at this.
She lets a tear flow down her face and says "I was the one he found first which was in Washington D.C., he made sure I was safe from any monster that came at us." and she takes out what looks like a Japanese kunai with some cracks on it but still very sharp. "This kunai knife helps me remember the night he saved me from Arachne's spiders." she didn't want to tell him that she has a major crush on Naruto as she was too damn proud to admit it.
"A few months after he found Annabeth was when he found me and Luke when Luke himself was fighting a small group of Hellhounds, and since then it was me, Annabeth, Luke and Naruto." continued Thalia as she looks to Naruto with a smile on her face and gratitude in her eyes, but also admiration for the blonde son of Hecate.
"He also saved my life that night." finished Thalia with tears in her eyes.
(Flashback)
Annabeth, Thalia, Luke, Grover and Naruto were running through the forest towards Camp Half-Blood with an army of Hades' monsters hot on their tail.
The monsters in the army were 50 Hellhounds, 36 Cyclops, the 3 Furies, 6 Minotaurs and oh so many more, the five kept on running as fast as they could until one of the Furies (Alecto) having whipped Thalia by the ankle which makes her fall to the ground.
"NOW! KILL HER NOW!" screeched Alecto as the other two furies charged at Thalia going for the kill, Thalia herself despite trying to free herself from Alecto's whip and desperately ties to get away, but it was hopeless and closed her eyes waiting for Thanatos to claim her soul.
She waited for a minute, which then became two minutes until she got tired of waiting and opened her eyes to the sight of Naruto with his staff in hand standing before her with golden dust where two of the three Furies were once at.
Naruto glaring at the monsters says "If you think I'm gonna let you kill my friends before they get to camp, well think again!".
"Go, get to the Camp, I'll hold them off." said Naruto turning to Thalia and said girl yells out "No Naruto not without you.".
"Go! I'll be just fine." said Naruto leaving no room for arguments, he turns to Grover and says "You and Luke get the girls to Camp, I'll be back." with the Satyr nods to and gets Thalia who is injured thanks to Alecto and runs to Camp Half-Blood with her in his arms as she tried to reach Naruto.
Naruto stands tall and proud before the army of monsters, no fear nor hesitation in his eyes, only bravery and determination flared in them as he would fight to protect his friends no matter what it takes, even if it meant his death.
"Well congratu-fucking-lations, it took a small army of monsters from the depths of Hades itself to track down and corner a 14 year old demigod whose protecting three young demigods and a Satyr." said Naruto with a frown. Some of the brainless monsters go "That's a demigod?" and "He's 14?".
Naruto puffs some flames from his nose like a dragon does with smoke, "I hope it was everything you dreamed of, so have at it then!" he said. Then he switches his staff out with Yamato "Come and get the first real fight you've all had in over 2000 years you dickless cowards!" he challenged getting into a stance.
One of the Minotaurs charges at him and in one swift motion is decapitated by Naruto and instantly turns into golden dust.
Three Cyclops charge at him next, and he easily brings them down to size with Yamato while stabbing one of them in the eye making them turn to golden dust as well.
Six Hellhounds charge Naruto with bloodlust on their minds, but unfortunately for them Naruto cut them down one by one while they also turn to golden dust.
And after killing some more of the monsters, Alecto whips Naruto on the leg in which makes him hiss in pain and fall to the ground with a grunt.
Naruto looks to the group who is now at the edge of camp, a crying Annabeth desperately trying to get free of Luke's arms so she could get to him. And an equally crying Thalia was weakly doing the same, but due to the injury she sustained by Alecto which made her lose a lot of stamina.
He heard the crackling laugh of Alecto who with a smirk asks "Any last words demigod?", which Naruto gives a smirk of his own which made the monsters very uneasy.
"Just 3," said Naruto as his eyes turn black and he chants "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" and a wave of black energy erupts from his hands and blasts the army in which the end result was them turning into golden dust.
Annabeth, Luke, Thalia and Grover looked on in shock at the attack defeating the army effortlessly while Naruto goes to a tree, places his hand on it and casts a powerful barrier spell that surrounds the entire camp. A barrier strong enough so that no monster could enter.
With that done he used Hiraishin and teleported away.
(End of Flashback)
"And from then on, we used that tree to protect all of Camp Half-Blood." said Thalia. And she finishes by saying "A spell he learned from his mother Hecate, the barrier itself is made out of godly energy and Naruto's power, it's so that no monster would be able to enter camp, for they are burned into oblivion if they do attempt it.".
Percy looked at Naruto with different emotions, from shock to some admiration. The blonde demigod protected his friends from certain death from monsters even if it meant his own death. He made the protective barrier that surrounded the camp, however he was still unsure about Naruto as he had one more question.
"If he was at Camp, then where was he for the 2 years I was there?" he asked, and before Annabeth could answer, a rumble was felt in the area.
The demigods and hunters were getting concern and they looked all over for the source of the rumble, soon after that an explosion happened in which caused them to panic.
"What the hell?" exclaimed Naruto in shock, and as he looked into the mirror he saw someone that made him very angry.
There flying on a giant clay bird was a long blonde haired man wearing a cloak that was all too familiar to him, "The Akatsuki!" he growled.
And he maneuvers around a bomb that the man throws at them, in which makes Thalia clutch onto her seat with a panicked expression.
"Whiskers, who is that?" yelled Thalia from her seat looking a bit green in the face from the nausea she was obviously feeling from the maneuvers.
"He's a member of the Akatsuki, an S-Rank Rogue Ninja from my world. They are very dangerous as their main goal is to collect the tailed beasts." said Naruto giving the short version of the detail.
The blonde man then sends more bombs at the bus with Naruto maneuvering around them "YOU'VE...GOT...TO...BE...SHIT...TING...ME!" he cursed as he maneuvered from every bomb that was thrown.
Bianca covered Nico's ears from Naruto's cursing. Grover was braying in fright of the sudden commotion. Thalia and Annabeth were clutching each other like they were gonna die. Percy was swaying side to side harshly from the maneuvering of the bus while the Hunters were either praying for protection or screaming from fear.
Naruto had enough of the attack "Aw fuck this!, Shadow Clone Jutsu!" and a perfect clone of said blonde is summoned without handsigns. (He's mastered jutsus without the need of handsigns)
"Take control of the wheel, I'll take care of this guy." Naruto orders the clone as he gets up quickly and the clone nods at this as he hops into the seat just as quickly and starts driving.
Naruto gets to the back of the bus getting his wand out, leans out the window aiming at the attacker and calls out "Confringo" and a ball of fire shoots from the wand and hits the clay bird and it instantly explodes on impact.
The man jumped off the clay bird before it exploded, and Naruto quickly chants "Incarcerous" and out of thin air rope appeared and binded the man as he was in the air in which makes him fall into the forest.
"That should keep him busy for a while." said Naruto sighing in relief as they made it to Camp Half-Blood.
"That...was...AWESOME!" exclaimed Nico in excitement as the others nodded in agreement while Thalia who was now clutching her seat in fright from the maneuvering the bus did to evade the bombs that were thrown.
Naruto chuckled at Nico's enthusiasm, but he knew that this won't be the last time the Akatsuki would make an appearance as he also realized that forcing the attacker from the Akatsuki to retreat was way too easy.
Until then, the time to prepare was near as he came up with plans just in case his former village would send shinobi and kunoichi after him to retrieve him, or even the Akatsuki would come after him.
He knew that this wasn't over, it was only beginning.

Man, the battle against Deidara was a boring one I know, but I have something planned for the future.
I apologize for the wait, with me being asked to update A.S.A.P. so frequently is really making it difficult for me to do my stories.
These kinds of things take time and patience to accomplish, guess some people are a bit impatient and want frequent updates.
Now I got a request on if Naruto will have creations like in 'Hecate's Knight Wolf', and I was very interested in that so I have some ideas in mind.
Oh and by the way, Phoebe is just a sister figure for Naruto as she was mad at Apollo for the stunt he pulled on Naruto with Hermes.
