The camera pans upwards to the sand dunes of the middle east, an array of MEF knightmares traveling in a V formation.
"Hey, isn't that...?" Rivalz points at the screen to which Cornelia nods.
"Yes. It's the Middle East Federation."
Xingke scratches his stubble. "Oh yeah. I almost forgot that Britannia was at war with them, too. How long did it take for you to conquer them?"
"Three months too long, from May 6th to August 5th of 2017. By this time in which Area 18 was established, Clovis was already dead for more than a month, Zero had already made his appearance, and Kururugi had been vindicated."
She exchanges a sour look with Guilford, both knowing how much she hated the Area 18 conflict due to how she longed to relocate to Area 11 to find Zero but couldn't due to her preoccupation.
"Ya make it sound like you didn't have a choice or somethin'. Got your freedom taken away?" Tamaki wiggles his eyebrows condescendingly.
"Of course I did, you baboon! The Emperor was the one that ordered me to be the one in charge of invading and conquering Area 18, and I've seen firsthand what he does to those who disobey him."
"What's a baboon?"
Arabian Commander: "Open fire!"
The knightmares are fixed with howitzer canons that light up, taking the first shot of this battle as the lead destroys a Britannian tank.
The Britannian tanks, which are in a formation made up of two different lines, immediately return fire. However, seeing that all their shells glanced off without leaving so much as a dent, the Britannian commander, whose identity remains unknown at the moment, orders the tanks to halt their advance and sends in a group of different vehicles.
The familiar screeching of landspinners alerts the MEF of incoming Britannian knightmares. It's the Gloucester generation KMF. They make a beeline for the three massive Arabian knightmares that their intel tells them contains the last MEF military leaders.
The one leading the charge is General Andreas Darlton.
Andreas Darlton: "Shoddy oversized imitation knightmares!"
Guilford frowns at the sight of his late best friend. If there was ever any soldier that was respected and missed by Britannian forces under Charles' reign, it was Andreas Darlton.
Similarly, Cornelia can't help the forlorn look on her face upon seeing her other knight that held equal amounts of loyalty towards her as the one sitting beside her.
If only he were still alive...
Guilford: "They would've been wise to surrender from the start."
"Let me clarify that I meant that they should've surrendered when the war against Area 18 started. Their empire was vast, yes, but the size of a nation matters not. However, they never learned that and let themselves become arrogant and historically uneducated."
Nunnally points out, "But Guilford, they saw what Britannia was doing to the people residing in the lands they invaded. All of them were horribly mistreated, even the few that did surrender. They had no reason to give in to the demands of an aggressor."
"I know, your majesty. It's just that sometimes, surrendering could mean playing the long game by saving the lives of as many of your soldiers as possible in preparation for resistance. I think that's what Genbu Kururugi did when he killed himself."
Zero audibly gulps.
Darlton and Guilford's squadron don't take any incoming enemy fire, already too close and hidden by sand dunes for the MEF tanks to get a bead on them.
Suddenly, nearly a mile away from the Arabian commanders, the MEF's final military HQ was attacked by a lone Gloucester as it fires a tungsten round up from underneath the base, likely hitting an ammunition deposit and setting off a big explosion.
Arabian Commander: "What?!"
In the aftermath of the explosion, the lone Gloucester is revealed to be Cornelia's, standing in a sea of flames casually, her lance held off to the side pointed upwards.
Arabian Commander: "So Cornelia, a single unit did this?!" He says moments before Guilford and Darlton's group destroys his knightmare and him along with it.
Cornelia: "Another victory. Area 18 has been established."
Tamaki snorts. "Ha! Don't be so proud of yourself just because you haven't faced off against any commander as smart as you, Corny."
"Don't call me that!"
He ignores her. "I'm right. These Arabians had inferior tech and all that shit, right? Besides, my boy Lelouch is going to whoop your ass. Those of us who were there remember what happened in Narita as well as Tokyo."
"But we lost the First Battle of Tokyo," Ohgi points out. "And Lelouch abandoned us then, right? Why?"
"Guess we'll have to find out." Tamaki shrugs.
Jeremiah gives Ohgi a suspicious look. "I'm surprised you didn't call Lelouch a traitor for that and treat Zero as if he were supposed to be some sort of deity always watching over you but then pout when he can't be there because he has his own share of shit to deal with. What changed?"
He also sends a look towards Chiba, who remains silent.
Ohgi scratches his head. "W-Well, most of the Black Knights had a talk with Cornelia and Schneizel. General Tohdoh and General Xingke managed to convince us to watch these events with a more open mind from now on regarding Lelouch. Of course, I don't trust Lelouch at all, but I realized that I never actually hated him. He was just... convenient."
"Humph. Childish as you and the others are, at least you're willing to admit it."
Darlton: "My Lady, about our next course of action..."
Cornelia: "Sorry to have you clean up after my foolish younger brother."
Darlton: "Please don't apologize, my Lady. We live to serve and our place is with you."
Cornelia: "Humph." She smirks. "Do you think Area 11 needs our usual treatment?"
Darlton: "Yes, my Lady."
Cornelia: "Good."
"And what exactly did you mean by 'usual treatment'? Destroying entire slums of innocent people?!" Kallen shouts.
"How else were we supposed to put an end to the terrorism as quickly and effectively as possible? Your people may hate me or my kind for what I did as Viceroy, but my primary objective was to destroy the radical elements while minimizing Britannian military casualties."
"I'm glad Lelouch threw a wrench in your plans."
L.L squirms as the hair on his arms sticks up, still not used to being recognized for what he himself did as Zero, the person under the mask.
Cornelia: 'I'll drive you into the open, Zero. Clovis will be avenged.'
OP - COLORS
C.C lightly bobs her head left and right to the OP, but much less noticeably than some of the others. Same goes for Leila and Akito.
Meanwhile, Tianzi, Kaguya, Sayoko, and Anya sing along while Jeremiah, Xingke, and Ohgi can't help but smile at their not-so-little fandom. Even Tohdoh feels his lips tug, proud that it's in his homeland's tongue.
Rivalz sighs. "Man... Whoever made this song must've gotten paid big time!"
STAGE 5
The Princess and the Witch
It's late at night when an exhausted Lelouch returns to his and Nunnally's house.
He enters the dining room.
Lelouch: "I'm back."
The greenette he saw in Shinjuku whips her head towards him.
C.C: "Welcome home, Lelouch."
He freezes, shocked that she's alive.
Some of the audience chuckle when they see the look on his face.
Nunnally grins bittersweetly. 'How many funny moments have I missed out on due to my blindness?'
Nunnally: "I'm so glad. I was worried!"
C.C: "I'm assuming you ate out tonight judging from your appearance."
She nonchalantly finishes an origami she folded.
Nunnally: "Thank goodness. I thought maybe you'd gotten caught up in all the uproar caused by that man Zero. I tried calling you, but you didn't answer your cellphone. I wanted to tell you Ms. C.C's been waiting for you, as well."
Lelouch: "... C.C?" That is all he can muster himself to say, taken aback by the abnormal girl's unnatural name.
Nunnally giggles: "Your friend goes by such an unusual name. Only her initials."
Lelouch: "... Yeah."
The gears begin turning in Lelouch's head that. Even though his thoughts can't be heard, and even though the camera angle is positioned behind to not let them see his face, the audience can tell that due to his overprotective nature for Nunnally, he is suddenly analyzing the situation regarding C.C's sudden reappearance, and here of all places. What could she possibly want with Nunnally? Is she using her to threaten him?
Nunnally: "I was just wondering, is C.C. your girlfriend?"
Many Black Knights wonder the same thing, much to Kallen's consternation. It's obvious that Lelouch and that woman were never close in the beginning, or at least that's what they think, but what were they towards the end of his life?
Lelouch: "Huh?"
C.C: "He made a promise about our future together. Right?" She looks at him, a small, mischievous glint in her golden cat-like pupils as the BGM takes a similar tune.
Jealous Kallen noises.
Lelouch: "HUH?"
Nunnally: "A future together?! You mean marriage?"
Lelouch: "No! No, that isn't what she was talking about. It's like, uh... She's kidding around."
C.C: "No, I'm not."
"C.C!" Kallen screams.
"Yes, I'm C.C."
"Stop adding fuel to the fire!"
C.C innocently tilts her head. "But I'm not seeing any flames. Whatever could you possibly be talking about?"
"Y-You know...!"
The Witch smirks. "I get it. You also wanted to see if the Demon Emperor's penis was as big as his ego."
Everyone gasps at the Witch's dirty mouth.
"C.C!" Kallen screams, red-faced.
"Yes, I'm C.C."
If Lelouch wasn't embarrassed before when he saw on-screen Nunnally ask if C.C is past-Lelouch's fiancé, he is now.
"What's a penis?" Tianzi asks Xingke, who mentally screams in embarrassment.
Kaguya giggles. "It's like a sword. If its wielder puts it in a girl's hole, she becomes a woman."
"What?"
"They have sex."
"What's sex?"
Xingke glares at Kaguya to prevent her from poisoning his Empress' mind any further.
Xingke whispers to Tianzi, "*Whisper whisper* Birds and the bees... *Whisper whisper* When a man and a woman love each other, they take their clothes off and get intimate together."
"Ohhhh. Can you show me?"
"NO!"
"I see. I suppose it's embarrassing being naked."
Her innocent comment serves to relieve him that her curiosity has been sated for now and that he hasn't turned into a generic hentai protagonist.
Nunnally: "Well, you're certainly doing this sooner than most. But everyone's different, aren't they? So I suppose it isn't that strange. And if you feel like you're ready for-"
Her brother casually walks over to the table, picks up a cup of tea, and drops it onto the floor, shattering it, making her wince at the sudden unexpected crash.
Lelouch: "Oh C.C, look what you've done. You're soaking wet." He grabs her arm and begins dragging her away. "Come on, let's get you to the bathroom and into a dry change of clothes. Nunnally, stay here and I'll clean it up in a minute."
Nunnally giggles. "Oh Lelouch. You used my blindness to manipulate the situation."
As Lelouch leaves Nunnally with C.C in his grip, he desperately tries to clear the supposed misunderstanding Nunnally has.
Lelouch: "And she was kidding before. Kidding. Just a dumb joke, that's all."
Grabbing the Witch by her right wrist off camera, he roughly shoves her forward into his room.
Lelouch: "Who are you?" He demands, voice full of suspicion.
For the briefest millisecond second, as C.C stumbles, a look of sadness fills her eyes at being treated roughly again, as if she were nothing more than some merchandise, a familiar feeling filling her, a desire to belong, to have people that care about her.
But as quickly as it came, C.C stood up straight with a mostly stoic, partly mischievous facade.
C.C: "She said my name. I'm C.C."
Catching the look in her eyes, L.L winces. 'I'm sorry.'
'I already told you it's fine.'
'Still... Our relationship really wasn't off to a good start back then. Not that we were enemies, far from it, but we certainly got off on the wrong foot. I'm a reason for that.'
Cecile's thoughts race at seeing that look in the woman's eyes, the same person who said mean but truthful things to her during the previous episode's reaction. The bluenette once earned a major in psychology before joining the military, as she wanted to help others, but she decided to pursue knightmare-science instead so that she could study how the new, different form of warfare would effect the health of knightmare pilots.
Something in C.C's golden eyes screamed a silent plea for help.
'Perhaps Nina's theory was right? Maybe she's really immortal. Having gone through enough emotional and mental trauma for however long C.C has lived, any person will snap, but how they snap happens in many different ways. Some experience differing degrees of psychosis.'
Lelouch: "That's not what I meant. Why aren't you-"
C.C: "-supposed to be dead? So, do you like the power that I gave you?"
Lelouch: "As I thought, it was you."
C.C: "Dissatisfied?" She sits on his bed.
Lelouch: "On the contrary, I'm grateful. It allows me speed up my schedule tremendously, which is a huge help."
C.C: "Your schedule?"
Lelouch covers his right eye, leaving his Geass eye out in the open, and smirks.
Lelouch: "Yes. My schedule for obliterating Britannia. I'd have had to wait much longer before I could've made the initial move."
The escapee lays her back on his bed, her arms spread-eagle.
C.C: "You believe you can destroy it simply by using that power?"
He switches to cover his Geass eye instead, leaving his right eye visible.
Lelouch: "I intended to do it without this power."
Cecile redirects her psychoanalyses at Lelouch. "What? But I thought him receiving Geass made him want to destroy Britannia."
She thinks back to the first episode, specifically the ending where they all saw Lelouch use his Geass to kill those soldiers as his face morphs from horrified at what he's done to sadistic.
Cornelia shakes her head. "No. Lelouch already despised us for a long time."
"Then perhaps it simply removed any remorse he feels for his enemies. He was already predisposed to hating them for obvious reasons, so the Geass must've shut down any morally conscious objections."
Surprised, Nina looks at the woman with admiration. "I know you care a lot about others, but I didn't think you to come to such logical conclusions before all the other smart people in here, Miss Cecile."
"I majored in psychology."
C.C looks at the ceiling: "I just knew that he'd turn out to be a fascinating guy."
Lelouch: "What will you do now? I'm sure the military is after you."
C.C: "Not the entire military, only a small faction of it. So it shouldn't be difficult to find a hiding place. I can make do here."
She strips off her straight jacket to go bare-naked and haphazardly tosses the clothing to the floor.
"I knew it! She really was his mistress!" Tamaki shouts. "Right?" He looks at C.C for an answer, and everyone else follows.
"Well..." C.C isn't sure if she should lead them on to enjoy their reaction to the truth of their relationship later, or to come clean now.
Kallen growls under her breath.
Lelouch: "What?! You expect to stay here?!"
"How does he not even bat an eye when a girl is naked in front of him?" Geno questions.
Ohgi blurts out without thinking, "Maybe he was gay?"
Tamaki defends Lelouch, "Maybe yer gay?!" He shouts the word, 'your' in a think accent. "I wouldn't be surprised considering your awful taste in women who might as well be men considering how very ungirly they are!" He gives Villetta the stink-eye.
Villetta frowns and rolls her eyes. "Oh, fuck off."
"No, you! Bitch!"
Ohgi glares. "Tamaki, call my wife a bitch again, and I'll-"
"CUNT!" He calls her an even worse word before throwing his arms to the side at Ohgi. "You'll what?! Sit there and do nothing?! Exactly what I thought! Takes a bitch to know a bitch! No wonder you were willing to sell out your own leader!"
Nunnally sighs. "Tamaki, please be more civilized than this."
"S-Sorry. Anything for Lelouch's sister!" Ohgi sends him a weird look. "What?! The guy was my fuckin' hero! You had no heroes other than Naoto, Ohgi. Your loyalty is the same kind given by a gold-digging whore; you have none."
He sits down.
C.C snuggles into the blanket and hides half of her face in it, her hands holding the comforter up.
C.C: "A gentleman would sleep on the floor."
Kallen turns around and throws up her arms at C.C, as if to say, "What the hell?!"
Lelouch: "Don't joke around."
C.C: "My being caught would cause trouble for you, too."
Lelouch: "It's dangerous to stay together."
He climbs on top of the bed and puts his arms on either side of C.C's body.
"What a suggestive position!" Milly becomes sexually excited, much to the wariness of everyone else.
Anya deadpans, "Are you unable to stop being a slut for even one day?"
"Nope!" The blonde playfully sticks out a tongue.
Rivalz simps harder, but not as hard as Suzaku simped for Euphemia.
Then, he realized what Anya said, so he snaps at her, "What the hell?! There's no need to insult her!"
"I was joking."
"..."
Everyone stares at Anya like she grew a second head, so she tilts said head innocently. "What? Did I do something wrong?"
"Your tone of voice didn't sound like you were joking!"
"I can't help it. I'm terrible at expressing my emotions."
"I was joking too, Rivalz," Milly adds.
C.C: "If I wander the streets, they'll find me."
Lelouch: "This isn't about you. It's my situation."
C.C: "I hate stubbornness." Her tone turns borderline hostile as she turns her body to lay on her left side.
Seeing how he won't win, Lelouch sighs and gets off the bed as he reaches down and begins collecting her prisoner clothes.
Lelouch: "You sure take things casually, don't you? How did you manage to survive before this? What did you do before now? And what's the deal with that so-called contract you spoke of-"
C.C: "Good night, Lelouch."
Lelouch is frustrated at her blatant dismissiveness, scowling.

Cecile: "Fukushima... Kouchi... Hiroshima... This has been the seventh occurrence since that man named Zero raised his head," She says as she is holding a laptop and looking at current news events, all of which are about more terrorist attacks against Britannian civilians.
Lloyd: "And it seems the other groups are following his lead and putting up a valiant fight."
"You're wrong, Lloyd!" Zero garners everyone's attention. "Zero wasn't encouraging these people to terrorize the innocent. They misinterpreted his actions so gravely that they signed their own death warrants, whether at the hands of Britannia or the Black Knights."
Cecile: "And now, suspicions about that "Orange" thing have cost Margrave Jeremiah his command."
Lloyd: "Maybe he wasn't good enough. Thanks to him, connections between the police and the administration are screwed up. It's made a fine mess for us, as well."
Jeremiah is seen standing in front Pure-Blood Faction soldiers, his eyebrows twitching nervously after the whole Orange debacle.
He holds up a paper, likely telling them who their biggest enemy is.
It shows a picture of Zero.
The paper reads as follows:
WANTED
Gender: Unknown. Approximate age: 15 to 50.
Approximate weight: 5 ft 4 in. to 6 ft 2 in. Approximate height: 132 lbs to 176 lbs.
Body Type: Lean. Distinguishing Features: (Masked).
WANTED
DEAD or ALIVE
Imperial Public Enemy No. 1
ZERO (Alias or Last Name Unknown)
For the crimes of:
Rebellion Against the Empire
Subversion Against the state
Suspicion for the Murder of His Highness Prince Clovis
Several Counts of First Degree Murder
Violent offenses - Bodily harm - Assembling With Offensive Weapons
And Several Other Charges
Any Citizen Who Comes Across The Above Suspect Should Report Him Immediately
The poster was only shown for a split second, but Kaguya, being the fast reader she is, laughs loudly alongside many others. "O-Oh my god! Who made that awful poster, Jeremiah?"
"Someone from the Purist Faction on my side did. I think it was one of those idiots from the Britannian news agencies."
"There's so many things wrong with that poster that I do not even know where to- oh wait, I do know where to begin.
First of all, the first Zero, not the fake we have here," She insults Suzaku, "was clearly male in gender.
Second of all, there's no one above the age of 35 healthy enough to do what Zero did without suffering a heart attack. Lelouch had balls of steel. For them to put his age ranging from 15 to 50 is so off that even a child could do better.
Thirdly, the height. C.C, do you know how tall Lelouch was?"
"He was 5 feet 10 inches."
"Oh my god... How?! They wrote from 5 foot 4 inches to 6 foot 2 inches! Pathetic. It's like they didn't even try to roughly estimate his physique!
Fourth, there's his weight. What was his weight, C.C?"
"He weighed 150 lbs. No, he wasn't fat. He actually had quite a bit of muscle on him. Those of us at Ashford Academy often joked about Lelouch's lack of athleticism, but that only applied to his stamina. Should he have been trained in military combat, he would've made a deadly soldier. He often had to carry Nunnally around to flee when Britannia invaded."
"Fifth, it says that his distinguishing features are that he is masked. Yeah! Who would've thought!
And lastly, the suspicion for the murder of Prince Clovis isn't even listed as his first crime when it should have been.
Oh, and what was so offensive about his weapons?"
Seeing the poster, even the Pure-Blood Faction soldiers cringe, both from the awfully written details and the work they have cut out for them, especially because many now distrust Jeremiah.

JLF Base
Kusakabe: "Help them, Tohdoh! Zero has thrown the Britannians into chaos! Now is the time for us in the Japan Liberation Front to make our stand!"
Tohdoh: "Calm down! The information of Kyoto giving the Guren Mk-II to Zero hasn't been confirmed. If we pay too much attention to Zero, we may trip ourselves up."
"Kusakabe was and still is to this day the most irrational, idiotic, and frustrating person I have ever worked alongside," Tohdoh sighs. "Frankly, I'm glad he's dead."
.
.
.
Lelouch types in an internet search bar, 'suzaku'. All that comes up is the shocking events of Zero's first appearance, his rescuing Suzaku, and his claiming responsibility for Clovis' murder.
C.C: "So, what did Orange turn out to be, anyway?"
She is stuffing her mouth with Pizza while dressed in only one of his button-up shirts and her panties.
"Lelouch let you roam around his house in that state?!" Cornelia shrieks at C.C.
"Yes. Why? Is there a problem?"
"Is there a... IS THERE A PROB-!"
"Sister, calm down," Schneizel says.
"How can I?! She led Lelouch to his death, but not before he took so many with him! He, along with many of our siblings, are gone because of that woman sitting in the back of this very room!"
"You're wrong," Zero says. "It was both the fault of Lelouch and his best friend, Suzaku Kururugi. Lelouch could've gotten killed, even if he never received his Geass, because he always intended to wage his war against Britannia."
'So that's how it is, huh,' Cornelia thinks to herself. 'You, Zero, worked alongside Lelouch and Kururugi for reasons still unknown to me. But why?'
Unfortunately for her, she is so right, yet so wrong.
C.C turns towards Lelouch as he stares at her in silence.
C.C: "Well?" She says expectantly.
Lelouch: "You know, for someone who isn't willing to answer any questions, you certainly do ask a lot of them."
C.C: "If you don't want to answer my questions, you don't have to. Just as I don't."
As on-screen Lelouch sighs, C.C giggles softly. 'I have to say, Lelouch, with that white button-up shirt you were wearing along with those black pants, you looked like a serious businessman, only extremely handsome.'
He blushes. 'T-Thanks.'
Many other girls watching are thinking the same thing, mainly Kallen, Nunnally, Kaguya, Milly, Nina, and even Villetta and Cornelia.
For obvious reasons, A.A begins humming, "SWEET HOME ALABAMA!"
Unfortunately for them, this isn't a harem anime with a generic protagonist that never chooses anyone.
No. This is real life.
Lelouch sighs: "There is no Orange. It's something I made up. But... The more they claim to be comrades of like-mind, the easier it is to divide them with the thorns of suspicion."
She responds with a soft, almost sarcastic huff as she continues to read the daily papers, and all they're talking about is Zero.
C.C: "Everyone on Earth is looking for you. Because of you, the world is going through an upheaval. So, is this it? Is this what you wanted to see?"
He puts on his school cardigan.
Lelouch: "No. This uproar is simply a means to an end." He looks at her over his shoulder. "The world is destined to descend into greater chaos."
"What the hell was that?!" Geno exclaims. "I don't care if he was the Demon Emperor, because that was one badass quote!"
Everyone else, on the other hand, simply got chills from what Lelouch said. Even C.C couldn't help but shudder at the events to come, despite knowing.
.
.
.
Judge: "Case Number 107. Private Suzaku Kururugi, Area 11 Military Forces. In the murder of His Highness Prince Clovis, you are no longer a suspect, and are hereby set free due to lack of evidence."
Suzaku: "What happened? I'm free," He wonders out loud, managing to hide his disappointment that he wasn't killed.
"Now that I think about it, how did Suzaku get out? Surely, Britannia would've still set out to kill him, or at least someone would have. This must mean that someone in a high position of power set him free," Tohdoh states.
"That would be me," Schneizel says. "I pardoned Suzaku. As Prime Minister of Britannia, it was within my power to do so in Area 11 only because there was no Viceroy appointed since father loved to take his sweet time. Keep in mind that what we're seeing here is shortly before Cornelia was sent to Japan."
?: Out of the way, please!" A woman's voice calls out off-screen.
Cornelia's face pales, recognizing the voice. "No way... Don't tell me she-"
Zero lowers his head a little, not looking forward to reliving the past, not wanting to be sucked into it like how Lelouch's parents were.
Euphemia: "Look out below!"
The pink-haired girl jumps out of a window off-camera that is at least on the sixth floor of a building near the Viceroy's palace in Tokyo.
She doesn't scream in fear as she falls.
Suzaku is taken by surprise as he drops a sack in which he was carrying some of his essential stuff, and he catches the girl in her arms.
The Black Knights refrain from insulting Euphemia so that they don't upset Nunnally.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Lloyd cackles. "That's how they met the first time around?! What is this, some cheesy tale of a Princess literally falling into the arms of her dashing knight?! Oh wait, it is."
Nina squirms, trying to keep herself from outwardly expressing her jealousy of Suzaku as she thinks, 'Oh, how I wish I were him!'
Unfortunately for Nina, her table-fuckery will only get her in trouble.
Suzaku: "Uh, are you all right?"
Euphemia: "I'm sorry. I wasn't aware you were down here until I had leaped."
Suzaku: "Well, don't worry. I wasn't expecting a girl to come falling out of the sky and into my arms, either."
Euphemia: "Oh my..."
Suzaku: "Huh? Is there something wrong?"
She looks down with a frown for quick few seconds, thinking up a plan to lie to him.
Euphemia: "Yes! There is something wrong."
Suzaku: "Huh?"
Euphemia: "The truth is bad guys are chasing me, so considering the circumstances, could you help me, please?"
Cornelia facepalms. "Oh Euphie. She was never one to lie, something she was terrible at."
Tohdoh sighs. "That's something Suzaku had in common with her."
Although deep down, Tohdoh knows there is only one thing Suzaku is good at lying for, and that's lying to himself that he joined the Britannian military in hopes to change things when in reality, the boy is trying to atone for killing his father by paying the price with his own death.
Schneizel rubs his temple in worry for past-Euphemia, despite the fact that she's dead. "If I remember correctly, Cornelia, you weren't even in Japan at the time, but Euphemia was? Why?"
"Before my flight back to Pendragon from Area 18, I called her and told her that I still had to destroy that last bit of resistance we saw in the beginning before I then planned to redeploy to Ar- Japan, I mean, and that I knew beforehand that I was likely going to be made the next Viceroy. When I returned to Pendragon, father confirmed that I would be made Viceroy, and a few days after what we're seeing now, it was made official."
"But why did she jump out of her window?"
"I ordered my guards to tail her at all times. She stayed in one of the wing facilities close to the Viceroy's Palace, but it seems like she was trying to lose them. Not only did she fly to Japan ahead of time against my wishes, but she did something as reckless as this..."
A part of Cornelia was hurt. 'Was being a Princess that much of a bother to Euphie?'
.
.
.
Pure-Blood member: "We must get rid of this Orange character before Princess Cornelia assumes her new post."
Pure-Blood member: "Now the loyalty of us Pure-Bloods is being called into question."
Pure-Bloods journalist: "Are the reports we've been hearing true? Lord Jeremiah was bribed?"
Kewell: "Do you know what this Orange means?"
The other Pure-Bloods stay silent at the question.
Kewell: "In any case, Lord Jeremiah is definitely hiding something. Saying he can't recall anything... Bartley offered the same excuse!"
Villetta: 'Lord Jeremiah's memory is muddled. Exactly like those of the men in Shinjuku whose Sutherlands were stolen, and...'
She vaguely remembers coming upon that warehouse-like subway entrance/exit in Shinjuku, the place where she lost her memories. Only now, she only sees nothing but red, a bunch of corpses, and a person standing at the far end, most likely a man.
However, she cannot recall any discerning features.
Ohgi asks, "Was that memory slowly returning?"
She shakes her head. "No. I think I only remember that part because I was in my Sutherland and not in visual range of Lelouch's Geass. However, once I got out..."
.
.
.
Suzaku and Euphemia enter a park as they walk together.
Euphemia: "We haven't introduced ourselves yet, have we? My name is... Euphie."
Suzaku: "Euphie?"
He finds the name strange. Then again, he already has met Britannians with names just as weird as hers, such as Lelouch and Nunnally. Or maybe they're strange because of how foreign they are to what he grew up around.
Euphemia: "Yes."
Suzaku: "My name's-"
Euphemia: "Don't tell me. 'Cause I already know it. You're a celebrity, son of Prime Minister Genbu Kururugi, Private Suzaku Kururugi."
Suzaku turns around, not wanting to talk about his father.
Suzaku: "Hm. You lied before. There's no one chasing you at all, right?"
Euphemia: "Meeeeow!"
Suzaku: "What?"
He looks over to see that she has run over to a cat and is kneeling down to interact with it.
"Hey, it's Arthur! Who's taking care of the cat now?" Rivalz says.
"I am," Nunnally claims responsibility. "And when I get too busy with my duties as Empress, Sayoko does."
They all imagined Nunnally as a sweet old lady taking care of house cats, an adorable sight to see.
Euphemia: "Meow, meeeeow! Aww, does the kitty's paw hurt?"
She noticed the black cat is unable to put its left paw onto the ground, likely limping when it moves.
The cat hisses at her in fear.
Euphemia: "Meow, meow, meeeeeow!"
Arthur the cat: "Meow?" He meows sweetly.
He sniffs her hand when she holds out a finger, and he immediately likes her company as he happily rubs his face against the extended human limb.
Arthur: "Meow!"
Euphemia: "Meow meeow~?"
Nunnally frowns and lets a tear of grief for Euphemia roll down her face.
Xingke glares at the screen analytically. "Princess Euphemia didn't seem like a bad person. She seems like she had no problem getting friendly with a supposed lowly Eleven like Kururugi. Perhaps Lelouch really did use his Geass on her? But why?"
No one could bring themselves to answer. The ones who hold many doubts and even a grudge against Lelouch bit their tongue because they already know that they can only find out the truth by seeing it for themselves.
Suzaku takes his sunglasses off as he approaches her while Euphemia picks up the cat off the ground and holds it to face in Suzaku's direction with a giggle.
She holds Arthur out for Suzaku to pet, but Arthur bites his finger.
Suzaku winces in pain.
Euphemia: "Oh my..."
"That's only a fraction of what Suzaku deserved," Kallen smirks.
Suzaku smiles. 'I miss you, Arthur, even if you never felt the same way.'

Nearby, Lloyd and Cecile are sitting in a military truck at a red traffic light.
Lloyd: "We're running late. I hope he's still waiting for us."
Cecile: "Considering the charge, did they really release him?"
Lloyd: "Yes, they had no evidence. I'm sure they put him through the third degree because of that Zero incident- huh?"
He looks out the window and is surprised to see Suzaku crossing the street with a girl, not bothering with the truck.
Lloyd: "What? Why is he..."
Cecile gasps as she recognizes Euphemia.
Cecile sighs. "I feared the possibility existed that they would still kill Suzaku, even despite the lack of evidence."
Lloyd grins. "Well, he's doing alr- Ow!"
He receives a smack to the head from his assistant.
She whispers. "Idiot! You're not supposed to tell them about the Zero Requiem, even by accident!"
The others give them weird looks.
.
.
.
The two that look like lovers to those non-judgmental about a Britannian dating a number are now seated at the top of a staircase near the same park.
Euphemia: "Do you have trouble with cats?"
Suzaku: "I like them fine. However..."
He reaches out to the kitty seated behind them, grooming itself.
Arthur hisses at him, his golden eyes wide with hostility and fear.
Suzaku: "The attraction isn't mutual," He says monotone, his sunglasses hiding his sadness.
"Even Arthur could sense that Suzaku shouldn't be trusted. Good boy!" Kallen pretends to give a headpat to on-screen Arthur.
Leila frowns. "I don't know why people like you, Kouzuki, hate Kururugi so much, but I wish I could let him pet Eliza."
"Who?"
"My cat Elizabeth. I call her Eliza for short."
Milly grins excitedly. "What does she look like?"
"She's also a black cat like Arthur, except she has green eyes."
Euphemia: "I think an unrequited love is the mark of a kind person."
C.C remembers Mao. 'Unless that person is someone who is obsessive, but perhaps at one point, he may have been kind.'
Arthur jumps down the small staircase and hops in great leaps to avoid putting weight on his injury as he exits the scene.
Euphemia: "The kitty ran away," She says playfully yet sadly that one could imagine her pouting.
Suzaku: "... Euphie, why did you tell me that lie when we met?"
Euphemia: "Do you ask because you're concerned about me?"
Suzaku: "Huh? Um... of course."
Euphemia: "Good! Then you can accompany me some more."
Suzaku: "Alright."
Euphemia: "Come on. It'll be fun."
She grabs his arm and drags him away, forgetting a couple belongings as a montage of them going shopping together is shown.
Guilford looks at Cornelia. "It seems they're on an unofficial date."
"This isn't the proper way to go on a date!" Cornelia protests.
"Huh? How'd you Brits do it, then?" Tamaki asks.
"Our parents would set us up, of course!"
Seeing Tamaki still confused, Geno clarifies, "She means arranged marriage, although that mainly applies for those in higher Britannian society, or at least it used to. Sometimes it still does, but such norms are less prevalent than how they used to be."
"Wouldn't you want your sister to be happy, though?" Leila politely inquires to Cornelia.
"I... Yes, I would. If she chose to date someone like Kururugi, at first, I would disapprove, but if it makes her happy, then I wouldn't stop her, nor would I cut ties with her."
As the montage is shown, the two converse.
Euphemia: "You know, being here is just like being in Britannia. I feel right at home."
Suzaku: "Are you from the homeland?"
Euphemia: "Uh-huh. I was a student there up until last week."
Suzaku: "Last week? So what're you doing now? By student, do you mean high school? You can go sightsee anytime, can't you?"
"He really thought a high schooler could go sightsee anytime just because she's Britannian?" Tohdoh facepalms at Suzaku's ignorance. "It must be because he thinks she's rich enough to afford such a stay simply due to her ethnicity."
Euphemia: "Heh heh. You ask a lot of questions."
Suzaku: "Ah, sorry."
Euphemia: "Oh! No, I don't mean it like that. You see... today is the last day of my vacation. I wanted to see as much of Area 11 as I could because I'd like to know what kind of place it is."
Ohgi and Chiba, two of the Black Knights most distrustful of Euphie, are bewildered by her genuine curiosity of their culture.
Suzaku: "Well, you didn't need me for that."
Euphemia: "No, I'm glad I could see it with you."
Suzaku: "Is that right?"
.
.
.
The montage ends.
Euphemia: "Suzaku, would you mind taking me to one more place, please?"
Suzaku: "Your wish is my command, my Lady." He bows in Britannian style. "Where to?"
"Ha! What a simp!" Tamaki insults.
He's not wrong.
Chiba glares at on-screen Suzaku. "How dare he use the Britannian bow. How dare he bow to Britannian royalty at all!"
Xingke changes the subject, "Speaking of royalty, I've noticed that she's keeping her identity a secret."
Euphemia: "Take me to Shinjuku."
Suzaku tenses in surprise. Why would she need to go there? It's still very unsafe to be there, especially for Britannian civilians because the few Japanese still living in that destroyed ghetto would be very unhappy to see citizens of their oppressors.
Euphemia: "Suzaku Kururugi, please escort me there."

Meanwhile, at Ashford Academy, Lelouch is sitting on a bench in the courtyard while browsing the internet, still reading about any news he can find about Suzaku's fate.
'Was he really that worried about me?' Suzaku is surprised. He never thought Lelouch cared about him enough to constantly see if any information was leaked about Suzaku's trial.
He was so absorbed in his laptop that he never noticed Kallen approach him.
Kallen: "Lelouch?" Her tone is timid and nervous, only this time, it's genuine, not the schoolgirl act she had going for her before.
Lelouch: "Hm?"
Kallen: "Do you have a minute?"
Lelouch: "Mm-hm. What is it?"
He puts a hand on top of his laptop, prepared to close it if he has to so that she doesn't get suspicious of him for worrying about Suzaku's fate.
Kallen: "About that phone call the other day-"
He shuts his laptop.
Lelouch: "A phone call?"
Kallen: "Yeah, you know, when you and I were in the bathroom..." She feels her embarrassment from that scene return.
"Oh, so that's what this is about," Geno chuckles, earning a glare from Kallen. "Sorry! Didn't mean any offense by it."
Lelouch: "Uh-huh."
Kallen frowns. 'He sounds so disinterested. Maybe he really wasn't into me, after all.'
Kallen: "Can you find out what the caller ID was? I want to contact that person again."
Lelouch: "It was a school phone, so I'm not sure such- HEH?!" He hiccups when he looks up and sees something behind Kallen that surprises him.
Standing out in the open is C.C, who twirls around like a ballerina and then puts a hand above her eyes and gets on her tippy toes to see further away, as if taunting him. To make matters worse, she's wearing one of his shirts, something that could cause a misunderstanding.
Kallen: "I see. Makes sense, I should've known."
Again, Kallen is taken aback by C.C's actions. "What the hell were you doing, Pizza Lunatic?!"
"I was bored and wanted to gain Lelouch's adorable, childish reactions to my antics for my own amusement. Why?"
"Are you stupid?! You could've blown his cover!"
"Oh calm your tits. It's not like I could possibly stay inside all day, every day like Nunnally used to."
Lelouch clinches his fists in anger and trembles.
Lelouch: "That girl..."
Kallen: "What? Is there something wr- OGH!" She is about to turn her head around, but is caught by surprise when he cups her cheeks and makes her look at him, blushing up a storm.
Coincidentally, right at that moment, Shirley is walking down a hallway on the second floor and happens to see them again, so she quickly hides behind a wall.
Shirley: "Huh? No way..." She mumbles.
From her perspective, it looks like Lelouch and Kallen are kissing when they're actually not, he's just uncomfortably close to her personal space.
"Oh for fuck sake..." Kallen facepalms. "Poor Shirley. She was always jumping to conclusions, and it wasn't her fault."
C.C waves at Lelouch and runs away.
Kallen: "Shcuse me," She can't speak clearly since he's holding her face. "What are you doin'?"
Lelouch: "Ah... What indeed."
He continues holding her face while wondering that for an extra few seconds.
The younger members of the audience laugh.
.
.
.
Bartley is seen in a straight jacket, his arms restrained into two holes in a wall onboard a transport plane.
Bartley: "To think I'd return to the homeland like this. I wish I never involved that damn girl."
C.C sighs, feeling a sense of satisfaction that one of the men that hurt her got arrested.
L.L, on the other hand, is disgusted that Bartley only feels remorse not because of what he did to C.C, but because he got caught in something no outside force should've known about and is now suffering the consequences.
.
.
.
Lelouch drags C.C onto the rooftop until finally, she yanks her arm away from him, a little sick of his controlling behavior.
Lelouch: "Are you insane? You can't go walking around."
C.C: "Don't act strict with me. I never leave the school grounds, so it's fine."
She walks over to the concrete guardrails.
Lelouch: "It's not! You can't do as you like here, you don't belong."
"Rude, Lelouch!" Nunnally scolds. Ever since the first scene in this episode, having lived through that, she thought Lelouch and C.C were really dating all the way up to or close to the end of his life, so seeing him mistreat his supposed girlfriend made her pout.
C.C: "I don't belong anywhere." She leans onto the fence.
Lelouch squeezes C.C's hand. 'I never realized how much my own words could hurt other people. All I could think about was how the Emperor's words hurt me, so I was selfish. I had tunnel vision.'
'Sure. However, what I said was also true. Before the Black Knights became official, I really was a forever-wandering lost soul.'
C.C: "Hmm? What's with her?"
She sees a female Ashford student using a mathematical compass to inscribe + signs onto a brick wall repeatedly.
Lelouch: "Oh, is she doing again today?"
C.C: "Again?"
The student is revealed to be under the influence of Geass.
Lelouch: "She is going to be marking the wall like that every day, because I used my Geass on her to make her do it."
Schneizel puts two of his fingers under his chin. "What? Jeremiah, do you know what happened to that student?"
"I don't. Sayoko?"
The ninja maid nods. "She was among those that survived the FLEIJA. She ended up in a hospital somewhere in the mainland with severe amnesia and only a couple friends of hers survived the FLEIJA. Her family all died in the blast. She doesn't remember anything, even when they tell her who she is."
Cecile holds her mouth. "We have to help her!"
Nunnally nods. "After the next break, I'll see if I can gather information on her with Zero's help. If she happens to be in New Pendragon, then I'll give her financial support and compensation for what my brother did and what Suzaku did to Tokyo. I'll need your help, Jeremiah."
The cyborg nods. "Understood, my Lady!"
Out of the corner of his eye, he sees L.L give him a subtle nod of approval to carry out Nunnally's wish.
C.C: "Geass?" She plays dumb.
Lelouch: "The name of the power I have. That's what I heard when we first made contact."
C.C: "You're testing how long it lasts?" She says, amused.
Lelouch: "I need to know the specs of my weapon, don't I? So behave or I'll try it on you."
C.C: "Would it work... on me?" She wonders innocently, despite already knowing the answer.
"Geass doesn't work on you?" Geno is shocked.
"Who knows."
Her contractee she considers nothing more than a boy to her old age tenses up at the prospect of not being able to control her, something she probably considers to be cute in a condescending manner.
C.C: "Oh relax," She reassures him while arching her back to look over her shoulder. "You and I are in this together. I won't do anything to endanger us or our unique partnership."
"Hmph." He huffs in satisfaction while still looking at her suspiciously.
.
.
.
Meanwhile, Shinjuku is shown. The war has ravaged the district as many letters and pictures are placed throughout certain areas of missing loved ones, most of whom are likely dead.
Suzaku: "The Shinjuku Ghetto... ruined again. The residents were starting to return, too."
"What does he mean that it was ruined again?" Rivalz is confused.
This time, Akito answers, having studied much of Japanese history. "It was firebombed by Britannia in the First Pacific War during World War II like many other cities for months. Japan's economy was very poor for a long time that Shinjuku remained in a state almost as bad as this for many decades."
"Hang on," Geno interrupts. "I also have done my homework on your people, and back then, they believed in something called the Bushido code, right? But during World War II, they twisted the code to such evil extents and did so many horrific things that, even when they were losing, they were supposed to follow its one belief, to never surrender. So why did they surrender?"
"They got bombed into submission. As most of our Generals and Admirals were getting killed off throughout the war, younger officers ascended through the ranks to take charge. Despite being brainwashed to fight a total war, one of no mercy, they saw the suffering of their own people back home, something that served to demoralize them greatly. This, combined with the fact that they made enemies of everyone around them by participating in countless war crimes so awful that even the Nazis were disgusted, and the fact that they were constantly on the defensive after losing the Battle of Midway, all helped to make them choose life over death and raise a white flag."
Euphemia and Suzaku stand solemnly in silent respect as they sadly observe what was once a home for a Japanese family. In it, a picture of a missing grown woman is hung up on a wall as well as what was likely the toys of her child or children on the floor. All the walls and floorboards had been completely destroyed, replaced by small growths of vegetation in the dirt filling the unmarked graveyard.
The voices of two rude Britannian tourists interrupt them as they turn around to see them happily taking pictures next to a damaged Japanese sculpture.
Britannian Tourist: "Man, they didn't use RG on the Elevens. I figured they wouldn't."
Britannian Tourist 2: "Hey, look! Those are marks of Hummer rounds. Get a clear shot of it."
Britannian Tourist: "Say cheese! Got it. Okay, me next."
"How dare they!" Chiba growls. "What could be more disrespectful towards ones culture than celebrating the desecration of history?!"
Cornelia nods. "I have to agree. Unfortunately, history is full of such incidences, such as the Sack of Constantinople and going even further back."
"Still, that doesn't make it okay."
"I never said it does, woman." The purplette barely holds back her irritation.
"Hmph. Well, there's something we can agree on."
.

Somewhere outside the ghetto, Jeremiah is seen headed towards Shinjuku in a Sutherland, driving quite fast.
Jeremiah: "This is accurate? This information about Zero?"
Pure-Bloods Operator: "Yes, sir. Lord Kewell contacted me."
Jeremiah: "Right. Set up a cordon around Shinjuku Ghetto Sector 4 at once."
Pure-Blood Operator: "Cordon Sector 4. Roger." The man deactivates his comms channel with Jeremiah. "Okay, ball's in your court now, Lord Kewell."
He looks over to his right at another Pure-Blood Operator as they share looks, clearly in on something.
Suddenly, the blade of a sword appears in between them, making them gasp in fear.
Villetta: "I wanted to be put through to Lord Jeremiah. But it appears that you're too busy now."
Orange Boy smirks. "Thanks for sticking up for me, Villetta."
"No problem. You and I often saw eye to eye, which is why we became friends. The only decision of yours I find questionable is why you joined Lelouch, but I won't say it was because of Geass," She admits a little bitterly, feeling slightly ashamed that she may have played a part in the events that led to Lelouch's death while she was chasing glory.
"Good."
.
.
.
Suddenly, a wild Tamaki shows up where the two tourists are, grabs their camera, and throws it to the floor, breaking it.
Tamaki: "Get out of here, you damn Britannian bastards!"
Euphemia watches in concern.
Suzaku: "Stay here," He says to Euphie as he drops his sack like he dropped his father, and goes running in without any plan, as usual.
Tamaki is revealed to not be alone as both Yoshida and Minami are behind him, flanking his left and right.
Britannian Tourist: "How dare a lowly Eleven speak like-"
Tamaki: "Don't call me an Eleven! I'm Japanese!"
Kallen feels angry as hell, but she sends her friend a grateful look. "Thanks for that, Tamaki. I'd have confronted them myself had I been there."
"Tch! What happens next just pisses me off; every time that stupid asshole Kururugi shows up, it's always me..."
"Huh?"
"You'll see."
Britannian Tourist 2: "Wrong! You seem to forget you people lost! You're nothing but a beaten dog!"
Tamaki: "Grrr, you racist pig!"
Suzaku: "Stop, please! No violence!"
Sayoko sighs. "He shouts while running up the stairs and planning to use violence himself. Kururugi was as self-entitled as he was hypocritical. Very."
Tamaki: "Stay out of this!" He backhands Suzaku across the face, knocking his sunglasses off as they suddenly realize who he is.
Yoshida: "You're that..."
Tamaki: "Are you... Suzaku Kururugi?"
Minami: "The guy who killed Clovis?"
Yoshida: "No, idiot! It was Zero who killed him."
Tamaki: "Tch! This guy is nothing more than a slave. Big deal, you're an Honorary Britannian. Nobody cares. You sold your pride, your people, your soul, yet you call yourself Japanese?!"
Suzaku: "No! You're wrong! I-"
Tamaki: "I am not wrong! You stinking Britannian lapdog- aaahhhhhhhh!" He charges forward and throws a right hook, only to scream in surprise when Suzaku block it with one hand, grabs his chest, and tosses him over his shoulder, sending him flying.
"HAHAHAHAHA! Dude! You went flying!" Geno laughs, wiping a tear of joy away.
"Tch! Shut up..."
Everyone else can only watch in fear and awe of Suzaku's prowess.
Suzaku: "Stop, please! I warn you I've been trained for military combat. Don't make me fight against my own people."
"He says that as he's fighting against his own people," C.C is amused. "How ironic."
Tamaki: "Like hell we're your people!"
Minami: "Come on. Just let it go."
Tamaki: "Lousy traitor," He grumbles as he and his other two fellow resistance comrades leave.
Kururugi looks down bitterly, not noticing Euphie approach him.
"I never realized how much Kururugi was hated by his own people," Cornelia notices. "It seems some may have even wanted to kill him themselves, and it's no surprise given the fact that he was named the White Death."
Tohdoh shakes his head. "Before he got that name, those of us at the JLF would've gladly accepted him had he chosen to join us. But that was before he made it clear that he sided with the enemy and would not switch sides."
Euphemia: "Suzaku. Oh my, are you okay?"
She hands him his sack.
Tamaki snickers, "Look at how she's handling Kururugi's sack, it might as well be his ballsack."
A glare from Cornelia shuts him up, but doesn't take the smug smile of his face. "If only I could come over there and get my hands on you, I'd..."
Suzaku: "Yeah... I'm alright."
Britannian Tourist: "Well, I'm not okay! Just look at my prime-G and my elex-4," He whines as he lists the model names of his broken camera like the fat nerd he is.
Britannian Tourist 2: "Why did you wait?! Damn it, some Honorary citizen you are."
They approach Suzaku.
"Talk about entitled," Kallen scoffs. "Tens of thousands of Japanese civilians were massacred on the land they stand, yet they complain about something that costs as much as a broken toy to them. Tch."
Britannian Tourist: "Why'd you let 'em go?! You should have killed 'em! What's a few dead Elevens to a guy like you?! Who do you think's taking care of you all these years, anyway?"
Having enough of his man-baby behavior, Euphemia approaches the fat ass and smacks his face like he's her bitch, forcing him to drop his broken camera again.
If it was repairable before, it isn't now.
Euphemia: "I'll not allow you to insult this man any longer, you oaf!"
Cornelia is surprised. She has never seen Euphemia seriously angry before. Sure, there have been times where Euphie would get in arguments with her or their mother, but in the end, she always seemed to deflate as well as her mood.
This is the first time she's truly seen her little sister act of her own accord when angry and not because of a family squabble.
.
.
.
C.C is seen changing out of Lelouch's clothes and back into her straight jacket, wearing a swimsuit underneath to act as her undergarments while she listens to Lelouch talk.
Lelouch: "To use my Geass, I need to have direct eye contact with the subject. Transparent objects like eyeglasses present no problem. The effective range is approximately 270 meters, and a subject appears to have no memory of events before, during, or after the power is used. I think this is due to damage caused by the Geass interfering with the brain of the subject. Also, if the signal's optical, I can reflect it."
He's sitting at his desk with his laptop open, browsing the internet, likely learning about the human eye as well as its connection to the brain.
C.C: "In the short time you've had it, you learned a lot."
Lelouch gets up and walks to a window where he sees Sayoko and Nunnally outside, as the maid has taken his little sister outside to catch some Vitamin D from the sun, and so that Nunnally can spend time outside instead of being cooped up in her room all day.
Lelouch: "My opponent is an Empire that controls more than one-third of the entire world. There's no such thing as being too careful."
C.C: "I'd understand if you were an Eleven, but you're a Britannian, aren't you? This opponent may be too large and strong to fight with only Geass for a weapon."
"Is it good to be strong?" He ponders negatively.
The scene suddenly cuts to Suzaku.
Suzaku: "Is it bad to be weak? Back then when I was ten, the world seemed like such a terribly sad place. A world without any hope at all."
"No matter how you look at it," Anya says, "it's all a matter of how you use your power. In ways, both Lelouch and Suzaku were good and evil. Lelouch pretended to be evil when he was actually good, and he did evil things mostly and a few really good things, despite his worse deeds outnumbering his better ones. So did Suzaku. The only difference is that Suzaku pretended to be good."
Rakshata agrees. "Indeed. Kururugi didn't side with Japan because he also saw it as playing the victim card of a group of people he probably never thought of victimized when they really were, yet when his entire life got turned upside down and the woman he loves killed, he then helps Britannia further oppress his people, but much more violently."
Tianzi offers her own meaning to Suzaku's words. "I interpret Kururugi's perspective this way: he had the Buddhist way of thinking. By that, I mean that by saying, 'Is it bad to be weak' is him saying he would continue ignoring the suffering of the world under Britannia's thumb while he tries to rise to a position of power for himself and not others. While I can sympathize with his mindset, I'll never empathize."
Even Leila, the largest pacifist in the room, can't argue with that. "There's an old Latin adage that says, 'If you want peace, prepare for war.' It seems Kururugi was never prepared. Did he honestly put on his uniform thinking he wouldn't become a killer? He could pretend he was better than the rest of us all he wanted, but the truth is that he wasn't."
"That's the understatement of the century! Suzaku was the worst of the worst." Kallen crosses her arms.
Then, the theater screen shows both boys sharing half of the screen as they both list similar existential dreads.
Lelouch: "Starvation,"
Suzaku: "disease,"
Lelouch: "filth, decay,"
Suzaku: "racism,"
Lelouch: "constant war and terrorism,"
Suzaku: "living in a never-ending cycle of hate,"
Lelouch: "rats running in a wheel."
The screen returns to normal, but the characters shown interchanges between the two different pairs, Lelouch and C.C on one end, and Suzaku with Euphemia at the other.
Suzaku: "The cycle must be broken. Somebody has to do it."
"And yet, he still blamed it all on the Japanese," Tamaki gnashes his teeth.
"Side note, but this scene is awesome," Geno is so engrossed in their conversation. "I... I always wanted to be friends with Suzaku, and Lelouch seems to think very similarly. Sure, his methods may have been much more violent than the former, but maybe in a better world, I could've been buds with them both."
He looks down sadly.
Kallen frowns. "You okay?" She asks unsurely.
"Yeah. I just don't really have any male friends other than Rivalz."
"At least you're hitting it off with Tamaki?"
CLICK!
The sound of a camera shutter alerts them to Anya, who somehow ran several rows up, got next to Geno, and took a picture of his sad face before hurrying back to her seat.
"What the...?"
C.C: "How idealistic."
Suzaku: "Of course, it's doubtful that the one who does it will make all the bad things go away."
Lelouch: "I'm not that arrogant, and so..."
Suzaku: "No one should lose more of the people they love. At least, a world without war."
C.C: "And to have this utopia, you'd...?"
She faces a corner of the room away from Lelouch, folding her hands behind her back, trying not to let herself care too much about the boy, but his words are pulling at her heartstrings, unbeknownst to the audience.
Still, words are just words. Actions reveal a person's true character.
Euphemia: "How would you do it?"
Lelouch: "It's simple. When somebody wins, the fighting will end."
C.C: "Somebody?"
As Lelouch says that sentence, he does something so powerful that it leaves certain members of the audience even more impressed with his intellect.
On a chessboard, he moves a white knight to knock over the black king, all while giving a small smile that makes it obvious that he's scheming something from the camera angle only showing the side of his face and his eyes hidden.
"WHAT?!" Kallen shouts, standing up, startling many.
"Is something the matter?" Schneizel says, although he is equally impressed.
"Ah! N-Nothing!" She sits back down.
Tohdoh and Xingke exchange shocked looks.
However, they're not alone. All the members of the audience who have figured out the Zero Requiem and the new Zero's identity are just as astounded.
At this point in time that they're seeing on-screen, more than a year before it happened, Lelouch vi Britannia, the future Demon Emperor, left two hints that he planned his own death that far back:
Hint number 1: In the first episode, he said, "The only ones who should kill are those prepared to be killed!" Of course, some may chalk it up to him just talking down to those Britannian soldiers before he sadistically murders them, but others know better now.
Hint number 2: The symbolism behind this move on the chessboard they just saw, and the foreshadowing. Suzaku was often referred to as the white knight, so for that exact chess piece to be the one to checkmate the black king, the one that represents Lelouch, is proof what he is implying for those paying attention.
Kaguya couldn't take it anymore. "I can't believe it!"
"Kaguya?" Tianzi is worried.
She ignores her friend. "Lelouch... He actually thought that far ahead!"
Schneizel nods. "I have to admit, he truly was far more intelligent than even I could ever hope to be."
"What's going on?" Cornelia is frustrated at not knowing what they do.
"It's Lelouch. He already knew who he wanted to be his successor. To think he had it all figured out.. He must've known that he wanted to call Ohgi's group the Black Knights, and among other things."
Cornelia nearly fell out of her seat in shock. 'Lelouch... Why?! Did you take the coward's way out because you couldn't live with your actions?! But if you were so angry at Britannia, you had a reason to live, so what changed? Why become the very thing you swore to destroy, only to have yourself assassinated?'
Rivalz blurts out, "So, he plotted his-"
Milly clamps a hand over his mouth. "Shhh! Stop it! We... We don't know that for sure."
But there still are a couple people too stupid to figure it out, such as Chiba and Tamaki. 'What's going on?'
Zero, on the other hand, is trembling slightly, an action only noticed by Tohdoh.
For the first time in his life, using Lelouch as an example, Suzaku is actually truly terrified at how destructive the human mind can be, no matter how intelligent. That he would plan to go down and take so many with him that long ago made him only want to punch Lelouch in the face.
Nunnally lets a sob that draws everyone's attention as they all pray she doesn't cry, wanting to comfort her. 'Big brother, why? You wanted to die this badly? Were you the same as Suzaku? But... that doesn't make sense! You had many reasons to live, people you cared for. But... But as you thought at the end of the first episode, was it really all a lie to you? I know you loved me, but did you really not care about any of your friends?'
She can't help her doubts, but she reassures herself, 'No! Big brother wouldn't forsake them. He died for us, not himself.'
A curtain of purple hair blocks her vision as a pair of arms snake around her and hold her into a woman's shoulder. She realizes Cornelia is hugging her.
"It's okay, Nunnally. We'll find out why he did it."
"I... I know. Thank you, sister."
Xingke coughs. "For those of you who don't understand, let's just say that Lelouch was already a million steps ahead of everyone."
Of course, Lelouch didn't know absolutely everything that would happen, but Xingke leaves that little detail out since it's common knowledge.
They all nod and resume watching.
Suzaku: "I don't know how you would do it. But if I stop trying, then my father's death will have been in vain." He holds his pocket watch, the glass damaged from the bullet he took in Shinjuku.
Euphemia: "The Prime Minister's death?
Suzaku: "My own father died because he had to sacrifice his life in that war!"
Tohdoh grimaces, thinking he's the only person in the room who knows how Genbu Kururugi truly died. 'How can you say that when you were responsible for murdering him?'
An explosion about half a mile away draws Suzaku and Euphemia's attention.
In some kind of old outdoor decrepit sporting stadium, one small enough for a high school soccer game, the Pure-Bloods are confronting Jeremiah.
Kewell: "Jeremiah! You are going to pay for letting Prince Clovis' murderer go free."
Jeremiah: "Kewell, you dirty coward! That sighting of Zero was a lie, wasn't it?!" He shouts, realizing he had been duped.
Anya sends a surprised look at her father figure. "You didn't realize that most of the Pure-Blood Faction was going to betray you after the Orange incident?"
"Nope. They're snakes, born and raised. I pretended to be one, but I've spent my life around more honest men and women than the likes of those backstabbers, so I'm not as good at lying as them."
Tamaki leans over Geno's torso to whisper to Kallen, "That Orange guy is pretty awesome, eh?"
She nods. "He was once a racist prick, but something changed. I guess not all bad Britannians are irredeemable."
"And not all good Britannians are incorruptible," Geno adds, thinking of Princess Massacre while trying not to bring up the SAZ in front of Cornelia. He is still unsure of what to make of Euphemia, although Suzaku once told him that she didn't do it, and then he never specified anything more than that.
Kewell: "We have to wipe away our disgrace before Princess Cornelia takes up her post here. This is how we keep our officials honest."
Lloyd and Cecile pull up the military truck into the ghetto and stop to where Suzaku and Euphemia were running towards.
Cecile: "Suzaku!"
Suzaku: "Miss Cecile."
Cecile: "It's dangerous here! Get in."
Lloyd: "The Pure-Bloods are having a silly squabble. Let's get out of here. Oh, and by the way, what a shame about your acquittal. Because now you'll have to work for me again."
"Really, Earl of Pudding?" Rakshata is annoyed. "You're bringing that up now, of all times?"
He simply giggles.
The mad scientist turns away to head further into the truck.
Suzaku: "Wait, please! Isn't this an opportunity to gather battle data for the Lancelot?"
Lloyd: "Ohoooo~?" He turns around with a grin that says, "I got you right where I want you."
Euphemia: "Suzaku..."
Suzaku: "I'm sorry, Euphie. We have to say goodbye here. I need to do this. I think I can stop them with the Lancelot. I have to try. I... I must!"
A slash harken sends Jeremiah's knightmare stumbling backwards and knocks his machinegun out of his mech's hands, and for good measure, a sword is driven into the weapon.
Jeremiah: "Damn... It's four against one... Coward!" He shouts as he raised his wrist to block a lance just in time.
Kewell: "Don't worry, Jeremiah. We'll say you died in battle. Your family's name won't be disgraced."
Chiba scoffs. "And what would he know about dying in battle?"
C.C explains, "Chiba, the belief that dying in battle is the honorable way out is not exclusive to the Japanese. It has existed for thousands of years in many parts of the world."
"Oh. I guess that makes sense. But wait, are you Britannian? We never asked where you're from."
"I have no home, no culture, no people. I've traveled all over the world," She says, although that first and last part is no longer true. She does have a home now, a place to belong, and a man she loves and who loves her.
As Jeremiah forces Kewell to jump back, another Pure-Blood attacks him from behind immediately as their lance glances off his cockpit. It doesn't damage his most vital component, but it does land a hit on the back of his landspinners.
Inside his cockpit, he is revealed to be sweating up a storm, clearly afraid of the prospect of dying.
"Let me make something clear," The cyborg says. "Everyone is afraid of dying, and us soldiers do a good job hiding that fear. I am not scared of dying for those I am loyal to, but this here? I was terrified of falling to these rats without fulfilling my end-goal."
"What was your end-goal?" Cornelia intrudes into his personal life.
"I cannot say yet." He smirks, knowing some of them still doubt him, particularly the Princess and her knight, so he'll let them continue doing so until they show the scene where he reveals to Lelouch who he has always served.
Jeremiah: "You're serious, then?! You actually intend to kill me?! KEWELL!"
He extends a metal rectangular-shaped block off his left wrist to and swipes it at the Sutherland behind him, forcing the Pure-Blood back.
Kewell: "Silence, Orange! We serve the Imperial family! Why else would we be here? All Hail-"
Pure-Blood: "Britannia!" All four Pure-Bloods flanking Jeremiah from all directions chant as they charge towards him, intending to impale him with their lances.
However, a slash harken is fired into the dirt in front of Kewell, forcing him to stop as he's caught off guard.
It's the Lancelot.
Suzaku: "Stop it! You're all Britannian soldiers!"
Jeremiah: "That's him. It's that Honorary Britannian. The advanced weapon, Lancelot!"
"Huhuhuhu!" Lloyd pushes his glasses up his nose. "So even you knew of my wonderful creation?"
Jeremiah nods, not giving him any satisfaction. "Because of Prime Minister Schneizel, the ASEEC's work wasn't exactly kept a secret amongst the higher-ups. A single knightmare turned the tide of the battle Prince Clovis lost in Shinjuku. Why wouldn't we know about it?"
"I knoooow. I'm the stuff of legends!" Lloyd harps arrogantly, only to be ignored by most except Cecile, who rolls her eyes.
The Lancelot withdraws its slash harken.
Kewell: "What business does the Special Corps want here? Interlopers will die!"
Suzaku: "No! I can't stand by and ignore this senseless battle."
Two latches pop open under the armpits of the Lancelot, releasing a pair of massive energy swords that go from their standard metallic-looking state, to glowing pink, and then transforming red.
"Woah! A new weapon!" Rivalz is enthralled.
Kewell: "Oh my God," He trembles in fear at the sight. "They've perfected the MVS'es. Too late, I won't back down."
He steels himself as he attacks the Lancelot by firing both of his slash harkens, forcing the prototype to jump high into the air to dodge.
Suzaku: "We're on the same side!"
All four Pure-Bloods fire their slash harkens at the Lancelot. Suzaku casually dodges the first pair before using a sword to knock the others away, a total of six slash harkens blocked by his MVS with the last one being split in half and destroyed.
Cornelia smirks. "Impressive. Kururugi is making it look easy, but it's much more difficult than it looks."
Jeremiah: "Suzaku Kururugi... is saving me?" He is shocked by this turn of events, knowing how he was trying to kill the Japanese boy earlier and how he tortured him, so why would he help him?
Orange Boy frowns.
Meanwhile, Kallen insults Suzaku, "That's just how stupid Suzaku was. Someone could try to kill him, and he'd thank them and save their life."
Cecile rebuts, "Or he just cared too much and was truly kind."
"Doubt it."
The Lancelot lands behind a Sutherland and immediately uses a kendo-style counterattack when the Pure-Blood turns around with a sudden, desperate thrust from their lance, as an MVS lodges itself into the other KMF's shoulder to disable their arm.
Then, Suzaku drops down and kicks a landspinner hard enough to force the Sutherland to fall forward, knowing the other opponents are converging in on him.
Another Pure-Blood charges him and foolishly attempts to stab him with their lance, but not only does Suzaku easily knock the lance away from the Lancelot's body using his MVS, his blade stabs clean through the lance with enough force that it shatters.
Seeing this, Kewell is desperate to finish what he started, so he charges at Jeremiah with his lance and stabs at him, Jeremiah blocking with that same metal wrist-piece.
Kewell: "We can at least kill Orange!"
Jeremiah is losing this fight as he digs himself into the ground.
Suddenly, a fifth Sutherland shows up, this time to help him as it body-slams chest-first into Kewell, knocking his Sutherland away.
It's Villetta.
Villetta: "Lord Jeremiah!"
Jeremiah: "Villetta! Thanks."
"Again, thanks for saving my life."
She nods. "It was nothing."
Ohgi looks between them with uncertainty, not sure whether or not he should like Orange Boy just because he's friends with his wife.
The Lancelot defensively positions itself to protect the two Sutherlands containing Jeremiah and Villetta, who're strangely fighting alongside him, even if not for the same reasons.
He raises his MVS'es.
Suzaku: "Still wanna fight?"
Kewell: "Men, stand down."
The other three Sutherlands under Kewell's command scatter to the side.
"What's he doing? I thought he was trying to kill Orange Man!" Milly shouts.
"It's Orange Boy. Stop trying to make me sound like a superhero."
Suzaku: "You... you understand then!" He says happily, hopeful to come to a peaceful resolution.
A compartment opens up on the right hip of Kewell's Sutherland as he grabs something before it closes. It's shaped like a smoke grenade.
"That idiot...! He's using that here?" Tohdoh growls as he recognizes the weapon.
Kewell: "I'm using a chaos mine."
Suzaku: "Huh?!"
"How is he shocked that some people will only be bound to respond with anger?" Kallen seethes.
"Violence breeds more violence," C.C sighs. "Suzaku never learned that."
Suddenly, Euphemia runs through a tunnel and into the stadium where the fighting is happening.
Euphemia: "No! Stop it now!"
Jeremiah: "What...?!" He whispers in shock.
Tianzi tilts her head. "Eh? Why were you so surprised to see her?"
"It wasn't just the sight of a Britannian civilian on the battlefield that surprised me, but it's because I recognized her. I never thought her to be the type of Princess that would do something as noble yet reckless as this."
However, it's too late for Suzaku to move out of the way of the chaos mine since Euphie has now positioned herself directly behind the Lancelot, so he has no choice but to utilize the prototype knightmare's energy shields, the Blaze Luminous, to protect her.
The chaos mine extends and pops open as it fires hundreds of bullets at the Lancelot's general direction, the shear number of the bullets forcing the Lancelot's Yggdrasil Drive to overclock and spend a lot of energy on its energy shield, the forcefield either reflecting the bullets and forcing them away from Euphemia, or simply shattering upon contact.
In the process, a piece of gold plating chips off the Lancelot's foot as a bullet damages the armor.
After a dozen seconds, the chaos mine runs out of ammo and falls out of the air where it was hovering, a plume of smoke coming out of it.
"The Lancelot's Blaze Luminous was the only thing preventing the Pure-Bloods from taking an even bigger scandal with the accidental murder of a Princess," Cornelia sinks into her seat, trembling with relief. She knows Euphemia is dead, but Suzaku did save her life at that time.
Perhaps if she had known who saved Euphie, she would've promoted him while keeping him away from Euphie until she could've found a different knight? Not that she has much of anything against Suzaku, but Cornelia, looking back at it, can't help but feel that having Euphie's knight be someone not acquainted with Lelouch would've been the right call.
"Was this action enough for you to allow Suzaku to be Euphemia's knight?" Tohdoh wonders.
"Of course not. To be the knight of royalty, soldiers have to work quite hard to prove themselves, and Honorary Britannians twice as hard, so it seems since he was the only one of them to become a Knight of Honor."
"Okay, can someone please explain how that chaos mine thing works? Why did we never see any of those used against us?" Kallen is honestly shocked.
Guilford volunteers. "The reason it was able to hover in the air is because there are six firing barrels, all of them are pointed upwards at the bottom of the mine, and another six at the top pointed downwards. They each fire at the same time and unleash a volley with a massive rate of fire because of this. Due to such a design, the mine is able to stay in one position in the air until it runs out of ammo. The black wall you see revealed once the mine is armed and thrown is an extremely powerful double-sided magnet with the outside coated in anti-magnetic material. If you see that black wall, you could get hit when the bullets come pouring out in a general direction, usually an area of only a 45 degree radius."
Lloyd nods. "Yeeep~! The only reason it is so very rarely used is because of how expensive it would be to mass produce such a weapon that lacks precision."
"FLEIJA lacked precision, though. Why was it mass produced?" Tamaki points out.
"Because I wanted it to be," Schneizel says like it is the most obvious thing in the world, which it is.
"Oh. Ohhhhh yeah!"
"Besides, it didn't exactly lack precision since it was meant to kill a lot of people in one shot."
Nina shudders.
Villetta: "That Honorary Britannian... He risked his life for...!"
Princess Euphemia: "Everyone, lower your weapons at once! In my name, I command you!"
Kewell: "It...can't be."
"Why can't it be?!" Cornelia goes into her overprotective older sibling mode. "That bastard Kewell! He almost killed my little sister! I wish I could get my hands around his throat myself if he were still alive!"
"He's dead? How did he die?" Anya prods, not knowing that it's a bit rude to ask for details.
"Yes. He was confirmed KIA in the Battle of Narita. Evidence suggests that he was eviscerated by the Guren's Radiation Wave Unit," She sends a thankful, friendly grin to Kallen, much to the redhead's surprise, so she faces the screen.
Princess Euphemia: "I am Euphemia li Britannia of the Empire, and the Third Princess of the royal family." Suzaku is shocked. "I'm assuming command here! Now fall back!"
Jeremiah: "It is her. It's the Princess," He says, looking regretful that their actions could've gotten her killed.
"You needn't worry, Jeremiah. As a matter of fact, you handled this situation really well," Cornelia praises him. "You were attacked, and you simply tried to defend yourself to the best of your ability without causing too much collateral damage."
He simply nods. "I know."
Cecile: "Did you know it was her, Lloyd?" She's holding a riot shield in case things got ugly and she needed a sheet of bulletproof glass to protect herself.
Her companion is leaning his left leg against the wall of the tunnel Euphie ran through, standing in a weirdly funny pose.
Lloyd: "Uh-huh, but she's been a student up until now and hasn't made her public debut yet."
Kewell: "We... We're truly..."
Pure-Bloods: "We're truly sorry, your Highness!"
They bring their knightmares to a knee to do the Britannian bow.
Cornelia wants to scream at them. "You're not sorry! You're only apologizing because you're worried that because you endangered a member of the royal family that you may be executed! Having your titles stripped away and getting demoted would be the least of your worries!"
Suzaku exits the Lancelot and runs up to Euphie, standing to attention like a good soldier.
Suzaku: "My Lady! I had no idea who you were. Please forgive me, Princess."
She simply sends a sad yet annoyed look over her shoulder, not wanting to put up with having a wall of formalities between her and her first possible first friend outside of her family.
Euphemia: "Suzaku, you and I bear a similar deep pain. You have lost your father as I have lost my brother." She turns and smiles at him. "Will you let me help you in your quest to ensure that no one ever again has to suffer the loss of a loved one on the battlefield?"
"Delusional bitch..." Tamaki mutters.
Suzaku: "Yes, I'm... unworthy of your kindness." He bows.
"I came to actually respect Kururugi, even though I neither liked nor disliked him," Cornelia explains. "But one thing I have to agree with those who hate him is the fact that he lowers himself to others. Yes, he's supposed to bow to royalty, but for him to say he's unworthy would only have most believing such."

The scene changes to the moment right after the new Viceroy of Area 11 arrive not much later, her own personal team of trusted soldiers that fight under her standing behind her.
Cornelia: "I heard what you did, Euphemia. You shouldn't be so reckless."
Euphemia: "I know, Sister. Forgive me. But-"
Cornelia: "You will address me as Viceroy here, Sub-Viceroy Euphemia. Because we're sisters, we need to follow a stricter protocol."
Euphemia: "Yes. I understand." Her voice is monotone.
The Viceroy smirks approvingly before turning towards one of the political officers who greeted her upon her arrival, most likely a minister to the nobility given by what he says.
Cornelia: "Now then, give me your report."
Subordinate: "Yes. My Lady, the first order of business is a welcome party we've arranged for your Highness and-"
Before he can finish, Cornelia raises her gun and points it at him, to which Euphemia gasps.
Cornnelia: "Sloppy... Senile... Corrupt. Where is Zero?! I want the enemy of the Empire caught! Get ZERO!" She screams.
"Damn!" Tamaki whistles. "Someone don't like no welcome partaaays. What? Is it the disco music you Britannians dance to?"
The purplette groans. "We don't do discos anymore."
Lloyd whispers to Cecile, "Remind me to never make her angry over... What did you call it?"
"Unimportant details and technicalities."
"Ah yes. That. Formal events too, apparently."

Meanwhile, at Ashford Academy, a new student is joining Lelouch's class, introducing himself at the front as Lelouch is shocked to see who it is.
Suzaku: "I'll be joining the student body here at Ashford Academy beginning today. My name is Suzaku Kururugi. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Lelouch: "Yes, I understand. I'm lying. To Shirley and Rivalz and the others. Even to Suzaku and Nunnally. But there's no going back now. I can't turn back! As long as C.C and I are bound by our contract, I have to keep at this... 'cause I don't wanna lie to myself any more."
-End of Episode 5-
"Tch! And yet, Lelouch continues lying to himself," Cornelia scowls.
To Be Continued
I pull all the on-screen dialogue from the Code Geass Wiki, but whichever fan wrote that is either not fluent in English, retarded, deaf, high as fuck, or a combination of all of the above, because that page at the bottom of each episode is a mess. No matter what happens, I rewatch them to write the reactions, even without the above annoyance.
And to anyone who spells C.C's name with a period after the second C, your mom is a hoe. Seriously. You're making it seem like you're ending a sentence when you might not actually be doing so. I don't care if that's how you were taught to do it in school, it's just wrong to me.
Another thing. Lelouch is the smartest anime character- no, the smartest character, real or fictional, anime or not, of all time. Seriously. There is no character that can compare. He is smarter than any and all characters you can think of combined. Light Yagami, L, Blank, Ayanokouji (he's way overrated by the COTE fandom), Koro-sensei, etc.
I love Lelouch to death. That being said, I should've clarified that while I will be especially hard on Suzaku, I will be hard on almost everyone, and that includes Lelouch. The only exceptions will be C.C, who I'll take it a little easier on since she's my waifu and has already been through enough, as well as Tianzi, Milly, and Rivalz.
