Oh…

He looked up into the tree, an awkward look on his face as he looked up into the branches.

Whoops.

The soccer ball was high up in the branches of the pine tree.

In his defense.

He didn't have the time nor the energy to learn how to play sports when he was a child.

The ball was high up in the branches. Since the school had a safety precaution of cutting the branches off the base of the tree so students couldn't climb it, the first branch was about two feet out of his reach. He could tell that even if he took a running start, he wasn't tall enough to reach it. They were going to have to get a latter for them to be able to reach the first branch.

Unless…

Ijin looked around, quickly finding Seokju, and motioned for him to come over.

His friend look confused, but still listened," Yes?"

He pointed up into the branches, slightly tilting his head to the side as he asked," give me a boost?"

Seokju craned his head backward to look up into the branches. His eyebrows furrowing in that particular way of his before he faced Ijin again," You're going to get in trouble."

That was a good point. Not good enough to make Ijin change his mind, but still a good point.

Ijin waved it off dismissively," I've had worse. I feel bad that I got it stuck up there."

Thankfully, that seemed to be enough to convince his classmate to help him, because, with a quick minute of deliberation, Seokju was boosting Ijin into the tree, the teenager easily grabbing onto a branch and pulling himself into the tree.

The moment he climbed into the tree, he realized that it was a mistake.

He buried his nose into his elbow and let out two successive sneezes from the amount of pollen that was in there.

He heard Seokju chuckling under him.

He also heard Seokju make a sound of surprise when the pinecone Ijin dropped onto him landed right onto the crown of his head.

Ha.

With another sneeze, he started to climb higher into the tree, going about three-fourths up into the tree before he finally came across the branch that had the soccer stuck in its needles.

"Seokju! Leave it alone, I'll get the ball out after school!" and that was the gym teacher, who did not sound happy that Seokju was standing at the base of the tree.

Welp looks like he was going to get in trouble again.

He shook the branch, the action caught the attention of his fellow classmates and teacher, as well as launching pollen into the air that made his nose tingle. But hey, it got the soccer ball out of the tree.

There were a few gasps of surprise as people noticed him, crouched down in the tree, about twenty feet off the ground.

"Ijin?! How did yo-Get down from there?!"

At least he got the ball out of the tree.
