Chapter 11:

Hello All! Just wanted to give you a TRIGGER WARNING: Brief mention of Sexual Assault. But don't worry my fine furry friends I won't torture the audience too much.

"Oh Jane I hope you are still alive." I whisper out loud.

JANE POV:

"You friends almost found you yesterday, what a shame. They just missed you." Ian laughs and enters the room.

"They'll find me and I'd hate to be you when they do." I spat back at him.

"You think you're in any position of control." He says as he stalks towards me. Taking the knife from his waist he cuts my shirt and bra off leaving me exposed, I remain calm and drift my thoughts to Maura. He fondles my breasts roughly. "Do what you want Ian, I won't fight you and I'm not going to resist." He gets upset and stalks out of the room. Once he is gone for a few minutes, I let the tears fall silently. I cannot give up, not as long as Maura is still looking for me because I know she is. I will do what I have to stay alive.

MAURA POV:

"Why wasn't she there? Why was she moved?" I say frustrated to Frost.

"I don't know Maura but CSU left the house a couple ago. They might have more information on who took her." As soon as the words left his mouth I was on my way to the crime lab. I find Susie who appears to be hurrying in the pursuit of her task, " I was just looking for you."

"Is something wrong Susie?"

"I found saliva in the warehouse and I ran the DNA. I got a hit."

"Who is it?"

"Australian National Ian Faulkner." I feel like I have just been hit by a ton of bricks. My knees feel weak and I start to cry.

" are you alright?"

"I need to find Detective Frost." I rush up the stairs and straight to the homicide office.

"Maura, Maura are you alright?"

"I know who took Jane."

Frankie and Korsak both come in as well. "His name is Ian Faulkner. I used to date him and he was at my house three nights ago. Jane escorted him off the property after I expressed my displeasure for being there."

Frankie steps in and say, "I will go find Holiday and see if Ian has anyone else in the Boston area who might be assisting him."

"He better hope I never get my hands on him because I will give him a long and painful vasectomy."

"Is that the way of saying you will cut his balls off." Korsak says insensitively. I stalk right up to him to wear. I am a few inches from his face.

"I promise you Sergeant Korsak if we don't find Jane soon you will find out what I am made of, he has been known to have violent tendencies. He is a doctor who worked on classified projects in Africa, I can tell you that he is equipped in torturing people he needs an answer from. A few whispers from nurses who once worked on one of his female patients, since he doesn't have intercouse that often he used it as a torturing technique. I did not want to believe them but I am telling you I don't know what he will do her so do not and I mean DO NOT SIT HERE AND DEMEAN THE PAIN SHE IS GOING THROUGH."

"I apologize Doctor. I was attempting to alleviate some stress with a light-hearted tone." He immediately apologizes and sits at his desk to get back to work. I go down to the morgue and I sit on my couch. For the first time since I was a little girl, I pulled my knees to my chest and I cried.

JANE POV:

This time he left and I feel my confidence in my rescue draining me. I cannot hold on to hope as time continues to tick away. I don't know if it is day or if it is night right now. He left me bruised and bleeding. The box cutter leaves tiny cuts all over my body. He said he would be back soon and each time he comes back I find it harder and harder to keep my mind away from how much pain I am in. He wants me to give in to my pain, he wants me to hurt and show him that I hurt. I cannot do that because the minute I do that I may not come back from the dark place he wants to put me in.

I hear the door open and my heart drops but I keep my eyes forward and my thoughts on Maura. I hear sloshing and I hope that water is for me but I won't give him the satisfaction of me looking at him for it. He starts pouring water on me and I feel a burning sensation where each of the cuts are. Salt water. He leaves again and I let the tears fall once again. I love you Maura but I do not know how much more I can fight.

MAURA POV:

Frost knocks on the door to my office. I tell him to come in. "Maura, a friend of mine that works at New England Baptist Hospital said that there was a suspicion of medication smuggling from an orderly there. We were taking into consideration what you said earlier about his missions in Africa so i was hoping you could help us determine whether or not the medications are connected to Jane."

"Of course do you have the list of medications?"

"Yes, the first one was a Haloperidol injection form of 50 mg and also 3 bottles of chlorpromazine injection of 25 mg. Do you think that they could be connected?"

"Yes most definitely Haloperidol injection can be used to induce intense restlessness and Parkinson's type symptoms. Chlorpromazine is also an antipsychotic which can induce grogginess and sedation."

"Okay so I will call my friend back and see if the hospital can tell me where to find the orderly."

"Let me, I have lots of influence within the Boston area and the Isles Foundation is a big sponsor of that hospital. I will put in a call and have an answer within the hour."

"Okay well then while you make that phone call. I will run to morning joes, can I get you anything?"

"Yes please. Can you get me a chai tea?"

"Of course."

I made the call and now I am sitting not so patiently waiting for a return call."

Brinnnngggg bringggggggggg

"Dr. Maura Isles."

"Alright, and when is his next shift?"

"No, don't let him know anything is wrong yet. It is connected to the kidnapping of a Boston Homicide Detective."

"Okay thank you two of the detectives will be coming by soon."

"Alright thank you once again."

Detective Frost comes back within minutes after my phone call to him. "His name is Gerald Jones. His next shift is today at 3pm. I told them to not to alert him that we would be there to bring him in but to let him clock in and believe everything is fine."

"Alright I will take Korsak, we'll get her Maura. I promise we will bring her back to you."

"Okay please let me know if he tells you where. I know she is probably injured so I want to be there to provide medical attention."

"I will as soon as we know anything you will be my first call."

"Thank you."

It is 3:45pm, Detective Frost and Sergeant Korsak are interrogating Gerald. There has not been any news since they have brought him in. I start pacing around my office when I hear the phone ring, " ."

"I think we got her but she's out of state. I don't know how fast we can get to her."

"What do you mean how fair could he have taken her?"

"By Gerald's account, he delivered the first dosages of medicine so they could transport her but she is in a port warehouse in Louisiana. We have an address from Gerald of where to direct the next package of medicine."

"I can call in a favor and have the Isles Foundation Jet there within 2 hours if you can coordinate with Louisiana State Police. Can you work on that while I have the Jet fueled."

"Yes I can do that. When should we be ready?"

"45 minutes the latest. I'll call up when we can head to the municipal airport."

"Wow this is so cool Maura." Frankie says as he explores the Jet while flying.

"It does have its perks every now and then. Detective Frost did you coordinate with Louisiana State Police."

"Yes the port authority stated that the North Expansion is the only part of the port offered for rental space to the public."

"Okay thank you."

"I also called in a favor of my own. A buddy that works at NSA with HEATsat is checking the north expansion for a heat signal. If there are people in any of those buildings we will find out when we land. I told him to call me at 5:00." Korsak said.

I walk over to sit next to Korsak. "Thank you Vince, I just want you to know that I apologize for my earlier outburst. It has been very hard for me to keep my emotions in check but I want you to know that I am sorry."

"It's alright I completely understand Maura. You love her and there was nothing you could do in that moment but we are going to get her I promise."

"I know Vince. Thank you."

The jet landed and we met a deputy at the airport. He says that he has state and county police ready to go once we give the go ahead. All we have to do is confirm with Korsak's friend that there is someone there.

Korsak's phone rings. After the conversation he informs us all that in building 3h, there are three significant heat indications. We filled in the deputy and they offered to meet us there. We head toward the location given and Korsak tells me to stay in the car. I wait for directions as he has me a walkie. They signal they are going in. I wait for few moments and then gunfire rings. Suddenly I feel that my heart could stop breathing.

"One down, one in custody. Get the doc in here NOW."

I rush into the building and immediately find Jane unconscious. "Somebody call an ambulance now."

I stabilize her best that I can before making sure Ian's wound won't kill him. "Maura."

"Don't you talk to me. Don't you fucking talk to me. You're lucky that you are in custody because I would chop your balls off if you weren't. If she isn't okay, you will feel the full extent of my wrath." I slap him across the face.

The bus comes and Jane is hoisted into the ambulance. The whole ride to the nearest hospital Jane didn't wake up, she is covered in bruises and wounds. I am just happy to have her back. We can get better together.
