Chapter 4: Visitor

Nessie

I woke up early the next morning to the sound of Dylan crying. At first I didn't know where I was. The unfamiliar surroundings scared me. Then I remembered what had happened last night.

It felt all too surreal and I still wasn't completely convinced that I was not dreaming when I woke up. I went downstairs to the kitchen to make a bottle for my son. Dylan was still crying when I went back for him.

I decided to get some fresh air. I picked up my baby and walked outside. I walked a few feet away from the house. I sat down nearby and fed my son.

It was oddly quiet around here as we were a ways off from the city. I heard a noise behind me that startled me. I saw an enormous creature in the distance. It walked on all fours getting closer and closer.

I gasped in awe and fear as I saw the massive...wolf. Yes that's exactly what it was. A huge, reddish brown, wolf. On all fours it was taller than a bear. Following closely behind was a much smaller, yet still abnormally large wolf grayish wolf pup. Though this wolf was huge I could still tell that he or she wasn't anywhere near done growing.

The red wolf, who I could now clearly see was a male wolf, stopped a few yards away from me. The smaller gray wolf didn't stop. The male wolf looked on at the wolf pup in shock.

I did something that was probably very stupid. I reached out to pet the wolf pup. Dylan, instead of crying, stretched out his tiny hand to pet the wolf. The pup looked right into my son's eyes and I could swear that I saw something pass between then. The look on the gray pup's face changed to one of pure adoration. The pup licked my son's face.

I stiffened when I heard growling. The much larger red wolf didn't appear pleased at all. I saw the posture of the pup's change to one of submission. The pup laid down belly up in an act of total submission. It was something I had observed in packs of wild dogs. I wondered if the male wolf was the young female's father. The female pup was way too young to be his mate.

The male wolf walked towards me now. I wasn't scared like a rational human being would. If this wolf wanted me dead he could have so easily killed me already.

I ran my hands through his beautiful fur. He licked my face. His tail wagging the whole time. I would have stayed there happy and content while feeding my son with these wolves close by. Until I heard my sister calling my name.

"Oh there you are Nessie. I was worried-" she stopped midsentence her eyes went wide as she spotted the wolves.

The red wolf at Elsa like she was three headed alien. It was actually quite funny. Neither my sister or the wolf moved a muscle.

I got up from where I was sitting and walked over to my sister. "They're harmless," I told her.

"They're huge!" she gasped.

"They're beautiful," I replied.

"Nessie no offense but have you lost your mind? They could've killed you and Dylan so easily,"

I shook my head. "So why were you calling me?"

"I was looking for you that's why. I was worried when I woke up and you weren't there I got worried,"

I tried very hard to resist the urge to roll my eyes. I knew my sister was just worried about me. I worried about her a lot to. We walked inside together.

"Can you do me a huge favor and watch Dylan for me? I'm going to take a shower,"

"Sure that's fine,"

Taking a shower felt nice. Showers were a luxury when you were homeless. When I was exited the bathroom thirty minutes later the rest of the family had returned from wherever they'd gone.

"Come with me," Alice said as she pulled me along to her room.

"What's going on?" I asked her.

"I'm going to give you a makeover that's what I'm doing. As soon as I'm done with you I will give Elsa one as well,"

"But-"

"Come on Nessie. It'll be fun. Girl bonding time,"

"But-"

"I'm not going to take no for an answer and I'm not above using force either," she threatened.

Bella smiled at me sympathetically. "Trust me you're better off just going along with whatever she wants,"

"Wiser words have never been spoken,"

So I sat there in Alice's room and let her do her thing. I had to admit that it was kind of fun just sitting there and talking to her while she game me a mmakeover. By the time she was done with me I had a hard time even recognizing myself.

Alice then proceeded to give Elsa the same makeover. I decided to go for a walk in town. I got Dylan and left the house without telling anyone.

I stood outside of Starbucks wishing that I could afford to buy a drink there. "Renesmee?"

I felt like I had a mini heart attack when I heard my name. When I saw who had spoken my name I felt gobsmacked. I'd never seen a man as handsome as this man. He had to be close to seven feet tall. Holy muscles. Such beautiful muscles he was showing off. He had a little girl with him no older than 8 or 9 years old. She was every bit as beautiful as him.

"How'd you know my name?"

"We used to be best friends a long time ago. Wow you've grown,"

"I'm sorry who are you?"

He smiled. "I'm Jacob Black," he shook my hand. I gasped. His hand was so hot. "and this little girl here is my daughter Valerie,"

The young girl blushed bright red "Hi," she said shyly. "Who is he?" she pointed at son.

"Oh this is my son Dylan,"

Jacob glared at her. It surprised me that she was his daughter. He didn't seem old enough to have a child that age.

"Well Nessie my daughter and I were just about to have breakfast. Would you like to join us?"

"Um yeah. Sure. I'd love that," I blushed. I'd never gone out with a guy before. Especially not one as good looking as him and that made me nervous.
