Battle of Childhood Rivalry with Dragon Aid
"Okay, now that you're ready, it's time for combat training!" All Might said.
"Sir!" Tenya raised his hand to ask a question, wearing his white armor hero costume.
"(Oh, so that's Iida under there. He looks so cool!)" Izuku thought complimented.
"(Weird, why do I feel like I've seen that kind of design before?)" Leo thought asked himself.
"This is the fake city from our entrance exam. Does that mean that we'll be conducting urban battle again?" Tenya asked.
"Not quite, I'm going to move you two steps ahead." All Might answered while holding up two fingers.
"Most of the villain fights you see on the news take place outside. However, statistically speaking, run-ins with the most dastardly evildoers take place indoors. Think about it: backroom deals, home invasions, secret underground lairs. Truly intelligent criminals stay hidden in the shadows." All Might explained.
"(Right, most people wouldn't know that kind of battle to see what it's like.)" Luna thought nodded, understanding where All Might is going with this.
"For this training exercise, you'll be split into teams of good guys and bad guys and fight two-on-two indoor battles." All Might revealed the combat training for this Hero Class.
"Isn't this a little advance?" Tsuyu asked as they just started this Hero class.
"The best training is what you get on the battlefield, but remember, you can't just punch a robot this time. You're dealing with actual people now." All Might stated.
"Sir, will you be the one deciding who wins?" Momo asked.
"How much can we hurt the other team? Katsuki asked.
"Don't even think about going too far." Luna said giving him a scolding look in her eyes.
"Shut up! What I do is none of your damn business!" Katsuki shouted as Luna only respond with a roll of her eyes.
"Do we need to worry about the losers getting expelled like earlier?" Ochaco worried.
"Will you be splitting us up based on chance or comparative skill?" Tenya asked another question.
"Isn't this cape tres chic?" Yuga asked showing off his sparkling cape.
"I wasn't finish talking!" All Might grunted and everyone quiet down.
"Listen up." All Might opened the small book of the training plan.
"(Is that seriously a script? Guess this really is the first time All Might has done teaching.)" Leo thought shocked.
"The situation is this. The villains have hidden a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The hero must try to foil their plans. To do that, the good guys either have to catch the evildoers or recover the weapon. Likewise, the bad guys succeed if they protect their payload of capture the heroes." All Might explained what the combat exercise is going to be like.
"(Sounds like a classic action movie setup.)" Izuku thought commented.
"Wow, we're really going to practice like this. I hope I don't screw up." Luna said feeling a little nervous.
"Hey, you totally got this, Luna. We've been training out butt off for this moment." Leo believed.
"Time's limited, and we'll choose teams by drawing lots!" All Might said holding up a yellow box.
"Isn't there a better way?" Tenya asked.
"Think about it, Pros often have to team up with heroes from other agencies on the spot, so maybe that's the reason we're seeing that here." Izuku pointed out.
"He's right, my big brother Yusei told us about how he would team up with other heroes from time to time." Leo mentioned.
"Yes, I see. Life is a random series of events." Tenya agreed.
"Talk about deep, man." Leo commented.
"Excuse my rudeness." Tenya apologized with a bow.
"No sweat. Now before we get to the drawing, there appears to be one more pair in this class. So, we're gonna have to need one of you into a third wheel. Now, let's draw!" All Might declared.
After some drawing with the Lots box, the teams have been decided including Leo teaming up with Izuku and Ochaco while Luna has been paired Mashirao Ojiro and Toru Hagakure.
"Wow, what are the chances? We're a team!" Ochaco excited.
"Yeah, definitely feeling excited for this." Izuku chuckled nervously while blushing.
"Hey dude, try not to get distracted with your emotions too much, otherwise she might see your face becoming a tomato." Leo teased.
"Thanks for the confident talk." Izuku deadpanned.
"Sorry, sorry, look I promise to do my best to help you win our match and show them how much of a hero we want to be." Leo said holding up his fist to Izuku.
"Me too, let's do our best." Izuku nodded fist-bump with Leo.
"Hey, can I join in on that?" Ochaco asked.
"Sure, go right ahead." Leo smiled and Ochaco fist-bump with them, which causes Izuku to gaps blushing again.
"I declare that the first teams to fight will be… these guys!" All Might pulled out two balls with the white one having an A and the black ball having a D
Izuku and Leo are shocked that they'll be fighting against Katsuki and Tenya as the two former childhood friends weren't expecting to fight each other so soon like this.
"Team A will be the heroes, Team D will be the villains." All Might announced.
"Everyone else can head to the monitoring room to watch!" All Might said and the students make their way.
Izuku becomes really nervous as he looks at Katsuki who is giving him a scary glare that always spook Izuku, but this time he looked back with a fierce look in his eyes that shocked Katsuki as he let out a soft growl.
"(Something tells me things are going to be intense.)" Leo thought looked back and forth between Izuku and Katsuki.
"Bad guys, you can go on in and get set up. In five minutes, the good guys will be let loose and the battle will start!" All Might said.
"Yes, sir." The two teams agreed.
"Young Iida, Young Bakugo, the key to being successful in this challenge is to embody villainy. Think from the perspective of an evildoer." All Might advised.
"Got it." Tenya nodded.
"(A little ironic for this exercise, huh.?)" Leo thought.
"If things go too far, I'll step in." All Might said.
Leo notice how Katsuki is glaring at Izuku who is adjusting his gloves at the moment, then he saw Katsuki staring at him too and responded with his own fierce glare almost like Katsuki was mentally challenging Leo and he accepted it.
(Inside the Hideout)
Tenya and Katsuki enter a room where the fake weapon is for them to get ready.
"Even though this is training, it pains me to be aligned with criminal behavior." Tenya said to himself as he walks up to the fake weapon.
"So, this is the weapon we must protect. Fake, of course." Tenya knocked on the fake weapon just to be sure.
"Hey, speedy guy." Katsuki called out getting Tenya's attention.
"Do you really think Deku's Quirk came out late like those twins said?" Katsuki asked.
"Well, those two seem to know him a bit more than me and it doesn't look like Midoriya wasn't lying either consider how we saw his Quirk damage his own body meaning he hasn't had the years of experience with it like we have with our own Quirk." Tenya pointed out.
"(Fucking bastard has a point.)" Katsuki thought admitted grinding his teeth.
"Tell, me, why is it you seem to be especially angry when it comes to Midoriya?" Tenya asked.
"None of your damn business." Katsuki said.
"(Damn it, Deku… So, you finally got your Quirk and been tricking me after all this time, thinking you got the best of me?)" Katsuki thought clutched his fists.
"(I am going to roast that damn nerd today!)" Katsuki thought declared.
(With Team A)
"You think they expect us to memorize this building's floor plan, it's so big." Ochaco said as she and her team are looking over the plan sheet of the building.
"Well, we have to think of which floor they're gonna hide the weapon and be ready for a fight at any time." Leo pointed out.
"I guess that's true." Ochaco said, sort of getting what Leo is saying.
"Hey Deku, what do you think-AH! You're sweating through your costume!" Ochaco gasped seeing Izuku looking so nervously.
"Are you okay, Izuku?" Leo asked.
"Fine, I guess, it just because we're up against Kacchan, plus there's Iida too. We should be on our guard, who knows what they'll pull." Izuku stated.
"Oh right, Bakugo. He's the one who's always making fun of you." Ochaco recalled.
"What is it between you two, anyway? It looks like you two used to be really close friends, but now he treats you more like trash." Leo wonderd.
"Well, you're right about us used to be friends. That is until he got his Quirk when we were kids, and mine didn't come until later, because it was thought I was Quirkless, I ended up getting treated badly." Izuku explained a little.
"Oh, I'm sorry if that happened to you." Ochaco said feeling sad she knew one or two Quirkless people who were also treated bad for not having a Quirk of their own.
"Let me guess, the guy's Quirk was so amazing that his ego pushed away your friendship." Leo annoyed of how some people are like that.
"Yeah, I won't lie that Kacchan is a big pain and all. But his strength and confidence, and his ambition, not to mention his Quirk. They're all so much greater than mine." Izuku admitted asnhis face changed to a serious expression and stands up.
"But that just means I have to do better. I refuse to lose today." Izuku determined to beat Katsuki and show him what for.
"Damn, you really got some strong willpower in you to say all that." Leo impressed.
"Yeah, a fated battle between rivals is something one must look forward to." Ochaco nodded.
"Oh, not that I'm trying to get you two wrapped up in my fight or anything." Izuku gasped.
"Come on, Izuku, we're a team now and that means we fight together no matter what." Leo smirked.
"Let's win this for sure!" Ochaco threw her fist in the air!" Ochaco excited.
Izuku smiles feeling like a lucky boy to have found such good friends in this hero school with Ochaco's super positive support, and with Leo it feels like the two have grown more closer than ever before even though they have only met each other for a short time.
"All right!" All Might speak through the speakers getting their attention.
"Let's begin the indoor combat training! Team A and Team D, your time starts now!" All Might announced.
"Time to settle the score, huh, Izuku?" Leo asked with a smirk.
"Yeah." Izuku nodded.
(Monitoring Room)
All Might and the rest of Class 1-A are standing in front of the large screen where it shows both the outside and inside of the building Team A and Team B are going to fight in.
"Pay attention kids, think about what you would do." All Might said.
"(Young Midoriya, in this class, you're just another student. I'll grade you as I would anyone else without playing favorites.)" All Might thought as he puts on an earpiece.
"(And maybe we can see that more of that strange connection you told me about that you've been having with Young Fudo lately as well.)" All Might thought.
"I hope Leo does well working with other people, most times it just been us along with Mei." Luna concerned.
"I'm sure your brother will do fine, Midoriya seems like the smart kind and Ochaco is gonna help too." Tsuyu stated.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Luna smiled.
"By the way, do you have a thing for Bakugo or something?" Tsuyu asked.
"HUH?! Why would you ask such a thing, Tsu?" Luna gasped and her cheeks turning a little red.
"It just you two have been butting heads at each other, almost like a married couple." Tsu answered.
"Except we are NOT a couple!" Luna stomped her foot on the floor so hard, she made cracks.
"Okay, if you say so." Tsuyu decided to drop the subject.
(With Leo, Izuku and Ochaco)
Team A sneak into the building on the second floor as Izuku warn there that going in could have a lot of blind spots.
"Hey Izuku, just to be sure, how much of your Quirk can you control?" Leo asked whispering.
"Only about 5-6%." Izuku answered quietly.
"That small, I guess it would be better than nothing." Leo said.
"That's right, so we'll have to find a way to combine all of our Quirks and whatever other skills we got and it's a good thing I took a lot of notes on indoor battles and tight spaces." Izuku said.
"Damn, talk about being super prepared." Ochaco impressed.
But just when they walked a few more steps, Izuku's instinct kicked in and stop as he looks up seeing Katsuki jump out from a concern on the right.
"What the…?!" Leo surprised to see him coming out to fight this soon.
"Get down!" Izuku tackled both his teammates to dodge from Katsuki's exploding punch.
"Are you two okay?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah, but your face!" Ochaco gasped.
"It's fine, it just my mask." Izuku assured then they turn to see Katsuki.
"What's the matter, Deku? Afraid to stand up and fight me?" Katsuki glared down at Deku.
"I knew you'd come at me first, and figured you'd try to catch me by surprise." Izuku looked back as he stands up.
"But now you'll be facing the two of us now." Leo determined as he got his helmet straighten.
(Monitoring Room)
"He almost got the jump on them." Minoru said as he and the others are surprise of the sneak attack.
"Sneak attack, Bakugo? What kinda man pulls a cheap crap like that?" Eijiro asked feeling upset.
"I believe that counts as the role of playing the villain." Luna stated.
"That's correct, Bakugo is acting like a true villain." All Might nodded.
"It didn't work, Midoriya dodged him and protected his teammates. So cool!" Mina smiled.
"Look, there he goes!" Denki alerted.
"He's probably gonna go berserk enjoyment or whatever." Luna sighed.
(Back to Battle Building)
"I won't hurt you so bad they'll have to stop the fight. Just close!" Katsuki charged in for an explosive right hook.
But Izuku reacted a bit faster grabbing Katsuki's right arm and channeling the 5% of One for All throughout his body.
"(Impossible. How'd he know? He's not that good?)" Katsuki thought shocked and confused of how this damn nerd caught his incoming attack.
Then with a shout, Izuku threw Katsuki over himself and slamming the guy's back against the ground hard that causes him to bounce and gasp in pain.
"That was awesome!" Leo cheered.
"Kacchan, you always use a big right hook to start a fight. I know because I've watched you for years." Izuku said as Katsuki slowly gets back up.
"I analyzed every amazing hero, even you. I wanted to learn everything I could about them. It was all in the notebook you burned and threw away." Izuku mentioned.
"You can call me Deku, but I'm not the same helpless, defenseless kid anymore! You hear me? I've change. From now on, Deku is the name of a hero!" Izuku declared strongly.
Ochaco became shocked of how Izuku decided to use the name "Deku" as his own hero name making her remember how she decided to call him Deku as a cute nickname.
"(Man, talk about being cool right now.)" Leo thought grinned.
"I hope you're ready because your about to be broken down!" Leo said readying himself for a fight.
Katsuki glares at Leo and his stupid confident looking grin before turning his sight back on Deku seeing the memory of that scared little twerp to now.
"Deku… You're shaking in your boots, you're so scared, but you want to fight me anyway." Katsuki said with his hands shaking in anger and little explosions erupted.
"(Alright, this is where the battle truly begins.)" Leo thought clutched his fist.
"THAT'S WHY I HATE YOU!" Katsuki shouted in rage.
That's when Leo decided to make his move as he jumps at Katsuki and reel the arm with tbe big blue scooper to attack the raging hero-in-training while Izuku is charging up his body with One for All again with his eyes not taking off of Katsuki.

The Battle Training has begun with Izuku and Leo facing off against Katsuki in the first round as they will have to put their teamwork to the test, it's going to be intense as something may happen that could be something amazing or dangerous.
