After storing her belongings and giving Myrtenaster a few practice swings and thrust, Weiss took a seat on her new bed. Despite not physically exerting herself, the former heiress was exhausted. It felt like there was a huge weight on her shoulder trying to pull her down, whether onto the floor or the grave, it didn't matter to Weiss. This would have been more bearable if Ruby was here with her, but that wasn't the case.

Weiss was stuck here, all alone. Standing back up briefly and grabbing her tiara from her new vanity, her light blue eyes stared at the metal, one of her few belongings from home. Ruby said that it looked cute on her.

She would have grabbed her scroll, but the solar charger on it would need a chance to do its job once it had a moment, and Weiss didn't want to risk the invaluable object getting damaged.

It had all of their memories after all. Taking a deep breath, Weiss exhaled.

"Light glimmers in a flower, like jewels in a dream..." Weiss sang softly, spouting whatever words that dripped from her heart. Music was her escape whenever the pressure from Father would try to overwhelm her, when not even Klein's baking could help to comfort her.

Winter's escape was literal since she ran off to join the military and rarely visited home. Whitley didn't have to worry about anything, since Weiss was the heir until just recently.

"The sky brings life, love to everything." Random words and sentences as Weiss' voice was barely above a whisper. She didn't know how thick the walls were here, and she didn't want the Wards to hear her.

"At times I've thought, I'm not enough. The chains that tied my heart, but there's still a path that lies ahead for you and I." Weiss continued. It pained her to admit that whatever goals and plans she had made for the future were now dashed, torn to pieces like the Grimm whenever they came upon an unsuspecting village.

"Memories fade away, clouds of yesterday." Would Weiss remember the way Ruby's voice would crack whenever she got too excited? Would she remember how red Blake's face would get when Yang made an innuendo? Her scroll, Weiss would defend it with her life if need be. She would have to see if she could transfer her files, if it was possible anyways. "With no one to love, is this life worth living?"

Weiss could die now. What if that sent her back home? She almost died because of Cinder, what if she had died and this was the afterlife? Did that mean Pyrrha was around here somewhere? And Penny as well? No, such optimism would be foolish, and if she tried killing herself, what if she was wrong?

What if Ruby and the others manage to find their way here, only to be greated to a grave that contained her body?

"Come back to me, and stay by my side." Weiss voice grew a bit louder as she closed her eyes shut. She didn't escape Atlas, fly halfway across the world, survive a crash, and get captured by bandits to just end up in another forsaken world!

"I feel my heart shake, come ease this ache."

Yang's beautiful lilac eyes widened in surprise when Weiss presented her with a new pair of boots, the finest money could buy.

"I'm standing over here, reaching for you a million miles away, come back and stay."

Blake blinked a few times before smiling, accepting a box filled with gorgeous and expensive teacups.

"No matter how far, the memories may be…"

Winter pulled Weiss to her feet, gently wiping the blood that came from her freshly carved scar, courtesy of Father and the Arma Gigas.

"When I close my eyes, you're all that I see…"

Klein opened the door to Weiss' room, holding a delicious looking cake while making a silly face that earned him a barrage of giggles.

"Come back to me…a million miles away."

Ruby gave Weiss a large grin, pulling the former heiress' hand as they walked through a store in Vale.

Weiss licked her dry lips and rubbed the corner of her eyes. She had ran out of tears already.

"Come back and stay…"

After her impromptu concert, Weiss finished straightening her bed when her stomach started rumbling. Her aura must've been taking a lot out of her. Closing the door behind her, Weiss' head glanced from side to side. From which way did Armsmaster lead her from? That way! She could even vaguely see the Wards common room from here.

Not even a minute later, Weiss found herself back into the almost familiar room. Missy wasn't there anymore, and neither was Dennis. Chris was sitting on the couch, playing with some weird colorful cube as he watched a cowboy that had all of their features covered run away from monsters, a short red girl with poofy hair at their side.

"Hello Chris." Weiss said politely, her eyes finding themselves drawn towards the small kitchenette. She wasn't feeling confident enough to make it to the cafeteria without an escort.

Chris flinched slightly, but he turned his head to look at her. "Oh, you scared me." That much was obvious.

"Where are the others?" Weiss' legs started moving, stepping around the couch to take a seat.

"Missy and Dennis went out on patrol." Chris shrugged. "I think Triumph and Aegis' shifts are done."

"Ah I see." Weiss said a bit awkwardly. She didn't really feel a connection with the mousy boy, not how she had with Missy. The younger girl being extremely adorable probably helped with that.

"So uh, where are you from?" Chris asked slowly, as if he was trying to word his sentence just right.

"Somewhere far away." Weiss answered a bit too harshly, which made the boy deflate a little. She needed to work on her tone. Before Weiss could apologize, another voice entered their conversation.

"Who the fuck is this?" The femimine voice was harsh, and sounded an awful lot like a thug. Angling her head ever so slightly, Weiss found herself face to face with the metal mask of a stern looking woman with a dark hood. "Oh great, another weak bitch."

Weiss' lips formed a thin line. No one talked to her, or at her that way. From what Missy said about Shadow Stalker, the girl was brutish and aggressive.

Just another bully.

"Weiss Schnee, a pleasure to meet you. Judging by that edgy mask of yours and your horrible manners, you must be Shadow Stalker." Weiss had faced the Spring Maiden in battle, and killed countless Grimm. Weiss wrinkled her nose slightly. "When was the last time you showered?"

Who was this Shadow Stalker when compared to all of that?
