Leena's POV

As we drove through the tunnels Garrus wondered what was on the tunnel walls. I had no idea what they were either but they looked like stasis pods. Shepard used the Mako to eliminate some geth but otherwise, there wasn't much activity. We had to get out because ahead of the Mako was some sort of force field so we had to find a way to get it down.

We found another elevator and it took us to another level and when the doors opened another panel like the one from before got our attention. Another projection appeared and it began to speak. But this time I could understand it.

"You are not Prothean" the projection began. "But you are not machine either, this eventuality was one of many anticipated this is why we sent out the warning throughout the beacons"

"It looks like a VI program," Garrus said. "Pretty badly damaged"

"I do not sense the taint of indoctrination upon any of you" the VI continued. "Unlike the other that passed through recently, perhaps there is still hope"

The VI was referring to Saren. It also introduced itself as Vigil. Shepard began by asking why we were brought here and Vigil answered. It explained that the Citadel was the heart of the galaxy's civilization as it has been for the Protheans and those who came before. But the Citadel was also a trap due to it being a station for a Mass Relay, one that links dock space into the empty void of the galaxy's horizon. When the Citadel relay opened the Reapers would come through it and destroy everything.

"Holy shit," Cypher and I said together.

Vigil continued talking about how the Reapers wiped out everything in their path and on other worlds in the galaxy.

"I don't wanna hear any more of this" Cypher hissed and he took flight from my shoulder. I was also tired of hearing about the damn Reapers so I went to join the Metal Dragon by the elevator. While Shepard and Garrus continued to listen to Vigil I took out the Healing Sage.

"I think your right that sage might be the cure for indoctrination," Cypher said from where he was sitting.

"I hope so because Saren doesn't deserve to die" I agreed.

"You care about him a lot huh?"

"As a friend yes, before all of this bullshit he was once a good man"

Some time passed before Garrus and Shepard rejoined us and we got back onto the elevator. The Mako was still where we left it when we returned and it wasn't long until we were back inside the rover and Shepard drove onwards. The force field was now down so we could head in the direction of the Conduit.

On the way, Shepard used the Mako's arsenal to kill the geth. After driving for what seemed like forever we found the Conduit. You had to admit it was interesting. Shepard pressed on the gas and as we got closer to the Conduit more geth were taken down.

"Hold on all of you!" Shepard advised before he guided the Mako through the Conduit.

Traveling through a relay was weird and I hoped I wouldn't have a damn headache later. The Mako burst through the relay that led to the Citadel and the damn rover flipped. Getting out was a bit of a struggle but otherwise, we were okay.

"Oh hell no" Cypher and I growled seeing the fires and chaos.

We shot down some geth while heading towards the elevator. The elevator ride was short-lived because the power went out and it was obvious Saren stopped the power. Shepard told me and Garrus to suit up which we did. Cypher had the displeasure of being squished in the helmet. Without it, he wouldn't be able to breathe and once we were equipped did the Commander use his gun to shatter the elevator window.

Our group walked and shot at geth for sometime before Shepard found a hatch. It led into the council chambers and once we were in there I took off my helmet and Cypher growled.

"I am not doing that again," he said to me.

"Fair enough" I agreed with him. Before we were about to go onwards I stopped the Commander.

"I will only have one chance to inject the sage into Saren, if possible can you distract him?"

"I will Leena but be careful"

I nodded and I made sure to give Garrus a kiss before we ran ahead to confront Saren once and for all.
