Leena's POV

The council chamber was in flames and ruin like other parts of the Citadel were. Saren was definitely here because he had a screen up and his scent was fresh. But the older turian was nowhere to be seen. Then the familiar sound of his transport was heard, I swore and went to take cover as Saren made himself known and he threw an explosive.

The device exploded and Saren began to speak with the Commander. While the rogue turian talked with Shepard, I took a peek to see how close I was to him. He was still on that damn transport but I was pretty sure I could sneak close enough to the older turian and get the sage into his body. I then made my way towards Saren as he continued speaking with Shepard.

Cypher was out of sight in case I needed him. Once I got close enough to the transport I readied the syringe and made the jump. The next thing Saren knew he had realized someone was on his back and he yelped when I successfully stabbed the syringe needle into his flesh and injected the sage into his body.

Saren hissed before grabbing my armor and he pulled me in front of him.

"Leena?" he asked in surprise when he saw it was me he was holding. His grip on my armor was loosened. "What are you doing?"

"Saving you" I replied. "I won't just stand by and let Sovereign control you"

"It's already too late"

"No the hell it's not!" I yelled interrupting him. "Your not a bad man Saren, yes you did some horrible things but that was Sovereign controlling you! I may not love you but I care enough that I don't want you dead!"

Saren then suddenly growled and the turian let me go. Sovereign was trying to take control and the moment I saw the turian pick up the gun I charged and my body slam caused me and Saren to fall off of the transport and the glass below us shattered. Both Saren and I landed in the structure below and I hurt like hell all over.

But I didn't give a damn about my pain the only thing I cared about at that moment was Saren. Ignoring my body which hurt like hell I crawled over to Saren and I didn't stop until I was next to him. At first, I thought he was dead but was proven wrong when the turian emitted a painful growl. The first thing I looked at was his eyes and I no longer saw the fog of indoctrination. The Healing Sage had worked and I shed tears of relief.

"Leena" Saren whimpered.

"I'm right here Saren," I told him as I placed a hand into his.

The older turian turned to me.

"You saved me thank you"

I lowered my face so it was close to his and I pressed a kiss against his mouth plates. When I did that Saren emitted a relaxed sound. I then growled when the pain from the fall caught up with me and I collapsed against Saren and blacked out.

Garrus's POV

While Shepard talked with Joker I jumped below to where Leena and Saren were. To my surprise, Saren was still alive and he was sitting up with an unconscious Leena in his arms.

"I'm afraid she's badly hurt," the older turian said to me as I approached. I noticed his eyes were clearer now and the Healing Sage worked.

"Your lucky to still be alive" I informed him as I bent down to their level. "She still saw the good in you still while I'm not sure if I do just yet"

"Fair enough" Saren agreed.

Cypher landed next to us and once he saw Leena was okay did the Metal Dragon look to Saren. Saren gave the Metal Dragon a nod and Cypher returned the gesture.

Later

Leena's POV

"Ow f**king hell" I swore when I opened my eyes.

I was in a hospital bed and I noticed Garrus was sound asleep next to it. I was in the typical hospital attire and from the look of things it looked like everything was resolved while I was unconscious. Garrus groaned before opening his eyes and they softened when he saw I was awake.

My boyfriend then carefully kissed me and I blushed when he did. When he pulled away he explained that Sovereign had been destroyed along with the council being safe. Saren had been taken into custody and he was awaiting the council's judgment.

"How soon do they intend to do pass judgment?" I asked my beloved.

"I'm not certain but it will probably be soon"

"Yeah I want a word with them, they screwed around enough by not taking the Commander seriously, their gonna hear what I have to say about Saren's indoctrination whether they like it or not"

Garrus chuckled.

"They'll listen I'm sure but for the time being my love you need to let your wounds heal"

I was surprised to learn the fall didn't give me serious injuries but I would need to limit my mobility and I was gonna be sore as hell for who knows how long.

"Where's Cy?" I asked seeing the Metal Dragon wasn't with my boyfriend.

"With Liara, you know the hospital won't allow him in here" Garrus answered in amusement. He had a point on that. Garrus then pressed his forehead against mine. "We survived Leena, and I'm glad we did, I was afraid I lost you in that fall"

"I'm still here babe, though I'll try to avoid falling through another glass roof again"

My comment made the turian chuckle again and he kissed my forehead.
