End of Part 1

Leena's POV

"No offense Saren but you look like hell" I greeted the older turian.

I had been discharged from the hospital but Saren was still present. Due to the seriousness of his crimes he was handcuffed to the hospital bed. A small chuckle escaped from Saren's mouth before he suddenly cringed.

"I'm not offended but try not to make me laugh Leena, it actually hurts when I do"

It was my turn to chuckle and when I was close enough to Saren I placed a hand on top of his.

"I'm going to talk to the council on your behalf" I began. "I think I can knock some damn sense into them that your actions were not your own"

Saren looked like he was about to argue but I shook my head.

"Sovereign controlled you Saren and now that you're free from its control I'm gonna make sure you have a chance at a normal life again"

Saren sat up before placing his other hand on top of mine.

"Thank you Leena" he paused for a moment. "And I'm sorry for everything I've done to hurt you"

"I've already forgiven you Saren, just know you're not alone now"

"Garrus is a lucky man I know he'll treat you well"

He meant his words and before leaving I kissed the older turian on the cheek.

Sometime Later.

The council had just finished talking with Shepard to thank him and that of his crew for saving countless lives. It would take some time for the Citadel to return to normal but things looked promising for the future. Captain Anderson had been chosen to be the human representative for the council and it was a good fit. Udina though disappointed agreed Anderson was a good choice.

"Leena Burke I hear you wish to speak with us on Saren's behalf" Councilor Sparatus addressed me.

"Yes that's right and no disrespect councilors I will be furious if you don't hear what I have to say"

I took a deep breath before I approached them.

"Saren Arterius in my opinion should be cleared of his charges" I started. "As I'm sure you have heard from Commander Shepard and other testimony he was indoctrinated under a Reaper called Sovereign, I recently found a cure for his indoctrination and managed to use it at the right moment"

Garrus came to my side and had a vial of Healing Sage. I thanked my beloved and took the vial from him. I let the council see the glass tube.

"I was lucky to inject this into Saren during our confrontation and it worked, there's a possibility others may be in indoctrinated states in the future its important this cure is given out so others won't have to suffer like Saren and Benezia did"

"May we see the cure a little closer?" Councilor Tevos asked and I nodded.

I walked up to her and let her hold the vial. She eyed the vial in interest as did Councilor Sparatus and Valern. The three councilors then looked to one another as though in thought and I let them think. I just hoped my testimony was enough to have Saren acquitted.

"Leena Burke" Councilor Tevos addressed me. "You are correct this cure is crucial and it will be distributed throughout the galaxy for anyone under indoctrination, we have also decided that the charges against Saren will be dropped if he proves to us he truly wishes to redeem himself, he will be given a single year to prove himself, but this will be his only chance, and you will be his advocate"

I sighed in relief at hearing those words.

"I will gladly be his advocate, and thank you I understand the decision wasn't easy but he's still a good man"

"The Reaper Fleet is still a threat and I'm going to find some way to stop them along with my crew" Shepard added.

The human male had asked me prior if I was still interested in being a member of his crew and I didn't hesitate to say yes as did Garrus and Cypher. The future held uncertainty for now but the Reapers would be dealt with and when the time came those across the galaxy would be ready for them.

Back at Leena and Garrus's Apartment.

After the council made their decision I returned to the hospital to tell Saren the good news. He was pleased and surprised but regardless he vowed he wouldn't screw up again. Shepard gave the crew shore leave and Cypher chose to spend his leave with Liara.

"Now that we have some time for ourselves I want to officially make you my mate Leena"

I felt my face burn when Garrus said that. I wasn't familiar with turian customs but I did know when a turian took a mate it was for life. My boyfriend wasn't helping because he was shirtless from the waist up while I still wore my Tomb Raider outfit. Cypher had been right Garrus's mandibles did drop when he got a clearer look after the Virmire incident.

But I was ready for this and I approached the turian I loved.

"Then make me your mate Garrus"

The turian picked me up into his arms bridal style and walked into the bedroom. He placed me down onto my feet before turning me around so my back was against his chest. I jumped when his mouth plates touched my skin and Garrus chuckled before giving the area between my left shoulder and neck a lick with his tongue. A moan of pleasure escaped my throat when he did that.

Then I felt his teeth bite hard into my flesh. He didn't move his teeth away until several minutes later and he licked away the blood that seeped from the bite. He repeated this until the bite stopped bleeding and he cleaned it afterward. This was his mating mark and it was time for me to return the gesture.

I took his left wrist and kissed it before I bit into his skin. After a few minutes, I removed my teeth and my own mark was now imprinted on his wrist. Like he did with my blood I licked his away until it stopped bleeding.

"Hmmm, I like my mark on you" Garrus purred.

"Your teeth are damn sharp though" I pointed out.

My mate snorted before guiding me backward and I fell onto my back against the mattress. Knowing what was about to happen Garrus hurriedly got my clothes off before he did the same with his pants. He seized my lips with his mouth plates in a fiery kiss. After he tired of my mouth he began to massage one of my breasts and claimed the other in his mouth.

I didn't hold back my scream and my back arched.

"I plan on making you scream even more" Garrus warned as he spread my legs and placed them around his waist.

True to his word the moment he entered inside me I screamed again. I then became lost in his thrusts and instinct guided my movements. Unlike on the Normandy, I didn't hold back my pleasure as my mate made love to me. He then surprised me by turning me over so I was on my stomach.

"You'll enjoy this" Garrus promised before entering me from behind.

He was right I did enjoy it and by the time it was over I was completely spent as was he.

"Next round I'll let you be in control," Garrus said.

"Watch it Vakarian panthers are just as skilled in sex as turians" I warned my mate.

"So I've heard and trust me I look forward to seeing that"

He then gave me one of his mind-blowing kisses and let's just say we had several more rounds of reach and flexibility.
