The rest of the day passed by rather quickly after Missy and Dean left to go on their patrol. It would have felt slower if Dennis and Chris hadn't showed up, thankfully without Shadow Stalker. Dealing with her would have been annoying, but doable. Triumph and Aegis still haven't introduced themselves, which made Weiss suspicious. What were they up to? Were they being given orders to keep an eye on her, and neutralize her if necessary? Weiss sincerely doubted that they would be able, she was pretty sure she could take on the entire Brockton Bay Ward team and come out on top.

The next day came after another night of restless sleep, and silver eyes staring at her accusingly. Another day of just lounging around Ward HQ and attending a few meetings until her actual debut. She still hadn't gotten a chance to go out and explore the city, to see the people she was sworn to protect, and buy new clothes.

"Hey Weiss, do you have any other clothes besides those?" Missy asked, pulling her green visor off. She had just returned from patrol with Dennis, Dean and Chris had already left to replace them.

"I haven't had a chance to buy new clothes." Weiss answered truthfully, giving her ugly shirt and pants a glance. She preferred dresses, since they allowed her greater movement when combined with safety shorts. "And I'm not from around here, so I'll probably get lost somehow."

"We can go shopping together!" Missy squealed, excitement written all over her pretty little face. She would have gotten along with the others.

"Sure-"

"Oh she could go shopping with Vicky, she has much better taste than you Squirt." Dennis spoke up, playing some game where a man in a red hat raced against a turtle faunus. He still wore his costume, his clock helmet at his side. "And there won't be a risk to your identity, since Weissy here doesn't exactly blend in."

Missy threw another pillow which he dodged.

"Vicky?" She was aware that there was another female Ward aside from Vista and Shadow Stalker. Was that Stalker's real name? And they revealed it so casually?!

"Victoria Dallon, also known as Glory Girl from New Wave. They have the whole no secret identity stuff going on." Dennis' character was hit by a flying blue shell. He smirked, pausing the game. "And she's Dean's girlfriend."

"I'll keep that in mind." Weiss would rather go shopping with Missy, but she also didn't want to put the younger girl's identity at risk. The alarms started to go off, the red lights flashing every few seconds. Missy immediately placed her visor back on while Dennis just slid a black mask that did nothing to hide his identity over his eyes.

The doors opened, revealing Armsmaster along with two younger boys. The one to his right, and Weiss' left, wore a gaudy costume with a gold lion shaped helmet, just screaming for attention. The other boy wore a rust red costume with a matching helmet which revealed his eyes.

"Clockblocker, Vista, Weiss." Armsmaster said in greeting. Weiss only nodded slightly in return. It seemed that the Ward team leaders have finally decided to make themselves known.

How wonderful.

After Triumph and Aegis said their hellos, Armsmaster led Weiss to a meeting room, alone, which was already suspicious on its own. He closed the door behind her, and motion towards a seat which Weiss took.

"Have you been adjusting well?" Armsmaster's voice was awkward and forced, more military man than politician.

"Mostly." Food still tasted like ash, and she couldn't sleep well. Everything reminded her of home. Armsmaster said nothing, intertwining his armored fingers. "It's only been a few days."

"I see." Armsmaster nodded slowly. "I have been speaking with Director Piggot, and we decided that it would be for the best if you reveal your true background to the rest of the Wards, as long as you are comfortable."

Ah, so that was the real reason he called her in here, away from the others.

"All of them?" Weiss narrowed her eyes. Was that the reason Triumph and Aegis took so long?

"Only the ones that you are comfortable with. They're good kids, and they know how to keep a secret." Armsmaster responded. "Teams are built upon trust after all."

That was true. A house divided against itself would crumble at the slightest pressure.

"I'll think about it." Weiss pressed her hands together. How would they react? As nice as most of them were, definitely not Shadow Stalkers, they were still strangers.

"Triumph and Aegis have only been told the basics, but they are unaware of any details such as Earth-R." Armsmaster was surprisingly thoughtful. "We would also like to inform the rest of the Protectorate ENE, but only with your permission."

That was extremely thoughtful.

"I'll let you know after my meeting with Director Chambers." Weiss said evenly. She knew that an argument would come up since the fat man liked to be in control of everything. Armsmaster seemed pleased.

"And if any of the Wards are giving you any trouble, please do not hesitate to tell Miss Militia or myself." His voice was more serious than usual. Still, they had been nothing but polite to her.

They were definitely after something, aura to be precise if Weiss had to guess. Armsmaster had some politician in him after all.

"Thank you."

"You finally have a name huh?" Mr. Chambers no longer wore his half tucked in shirt, instead opting for a horrible green sweater covered in blue flowers.

"I do." Weiss said proudly. Time to see how he was going to react.

"Uhuh, spill girly." Mr. Chambers seemed annoyed and rather wary. He leaned back in his rolling chair expectantly.

"Edelweiss."

"Hell no." Was his immediate response. His jowls turned red as his dark eyes analyzed her.

"And why is that?" Weiss' voice was polite, but there was an edge to it.

"Brockton Bay is full of skinheads and Nazis. A German name is going to make you look like a sympathizer." Mr. Chambers grumbled. There was that word again, skinhead. Nazi was a new one though.

Angling her head ever so slightly, Weiss gave him a confused stare.

"What's a Nazi?"

Ahaha, the question that I'm sure most people have been waiting for. Weiss stories are my favorite to write, despite only having two that are constantly being updated, this one included.
