Leena's POV

Now that we had Mordin it was time to return to Afterlife and pretend to join the local mercs to hunt down this Archangel. Upon entering the club a male turian was harassing an asari dancer.

"Don't be like that" the turian said. "I got creds, we'll go back to my place, I have simple taste"

The asari wasn't having any of it.

"Back off asshole!" she snapped and shoved the turian away from her. "I'm a dancer, not a hooker"

The idiot turian grabbed her arm.

"You got a mouth on you"

But the turian didn't even finish because I grabbed his sorry ass away from the dancer and proceeded to beat the ever-living crap out of him before punching him hard enough to go flying across the room.

"Thanks a lot, security was asleep" the dancer thanked me.

"No problem he was pissing me off anyway"

The asari smiled at me before leaving. Shepard and Mordin looked at me in shock but I simply shrugged before suggesting we continue on our assignment. A batarian told us where to go and another batarian greeted us as Shepard told him we were interested in taking Archangel down.

We took the transport to where the mercs were gathering to deal with Archangel. He once had a group but it was now only him. We arrived where the other mercs and freelancers were meeting up.

Some of them wolf-whistled at me but I ignored them and waited around until it was go time. When the assault began the freelancers were shot down one by one by someone in blue armor. It was obvious that was Archangel and Shepard flashed me, Cypher, and Mordin a smirk.

Cypher then took flight and began to burn the freelancers and I followed the Commander into Archangel's base. It was obvious by now the other mercs discovered our betrayal and they did their best to try and kill us but with my shooting and Cypher's flames, it was obvious who had the advantage.

Shepard advised Mordin, Cypher, and I to follow his lead as we entered the room where Archangel was being held up. Shepard called for Archangel and the vigilante made a gesture to wait a minute before firing a round and someone obviously died from the mere shot.

Archangel then turned around to face us and he took off his helmet. Immediately I dropped my guns and was in the arms of my idiot mate Garrus Vakarian. My beloved was surprised to me but he happily returned my enthusiasm and we exchanged a quick kiss.

"Holy shit! Garrus you're Archangel?!" Cypher exclaimed from behind us.

"Yes I am and Shepard I thought you were dead"

"Garrus! It's good to see you! I honestly wasn't expecting for you to be here on Omega"

"And I've been f**king worried you" I growled.

"I'm sorry Leena but Omega isn't a safe place I couldn't risk your safety"

He then gave me another kiss. Cypher wolf-whistled and I shot the Metal Dragon the bird.

"The hard task is getting out of here," Shepard said after our kiss ended.

"Indeed but with you four here we can overpower those bastards"

Garrus then waved Shepard over and my mate gave him his gun and the Commander looked through the sniper scope to see what was going on. I retrieved my guns before joining my boyfriend's side. We eventually went back into battle mode and I made Cypher stay with Garrus while I helped Shepard and Mordin kill off the mercs who entered the base. Due to their skills as mercs killing them was no walk in the park.

Cypher's POV

Below some sort of machine came out and I took flight just as it finished being set up. Using my dragon fire I burned the machine to the ground along with any other Eclipse recruits.

Leena's POV

"You and Shepard are kicking ass my Nightshade" Garrus greeted me as we regrouped with him.

"Nightshade?"

Garrus chuckled and kissed me on the cheek.

"That's what I told my men my girlfriend's code name was"

"I like it" Shepard interjected. "It suits well due to your black panther form"

I liked the name too and I was about to say something else when the room shook.

"Yo, we got more company!"

I decided to stay with Garrus this time while Shepard and Mordin will deal with the next merc group who were trying to get inside the base. Cypher continued his burning from the outside while I aided Garrus in shooting down the bastards from our current location.

I swore when I almost got shot and that pissed Garrus off and he ended up sniping the bastard down. The doors below then burst open and Cypher flew back inside and while watching his flames killed the Blood Pack mercs including the leader Garm. The Metal Dragon then returned to me and Garrus and collapsed.

"I don't know how much longer I can take," he said.

"You're doing good buddy just rest for a few"

Shepard and Mordin regrouped with us a few minutes later but before any of us could exchange words did the gunship we encountered earlier appear and we all took cover including Cy. Blue Suns mercs came into the base and one by one they were brought down. I then watched as the gunship made its return and it fired upon Garrus.

I screamed his name in the midst of the gunfire and when a rocket came his way my screams intensified as I watched the man I loved get hit. With a roar of fury, I began to fire round after round at the gunship as did Shepard and Mordin. Cypher then finished things off by burning the damn thing down and once it was clear I hurried to my mate. His blood was on the floor and he was having trouble breathing.

Tears became rivers flowing down my face as Shepard communicated with Joker. All that could be done now was pray that my mate, my Archangel survived.

Back on the Normandy

Still Leena's POV

Cypher was currently recovering in my bedroom while I impatiently waited for news about my mate. The commander was worried too. Jacob being the sweetheart said everything was being done to save my boyfriend's life. No sooner had he finished saying those words did the doors open and Garrus looked at us.

The entire right side of his face was now scarred but that didn't matter all that did was that he was alive.

"Tough son of a bitch"

"No one would give me a mirror how bad is it?"

Shepard made a comment that made my boyfriend chuckle. Then he and Jacob left so I could have some moments alone with my mate. I immediately walked over to the turian and kissed him. I poured all of my love into that one kiss and tears slid down my face as they did before.

Eventually, we pulled apart so we could catch our breath.

"Damn it Garrus I thought I was going to lose you," I said while still crying.

"I'm okay my love" the turian reassured me while wiping my tears away. "I'm alive and here with you, which reminds me"

My Archangel then pulled something out from his armor. He opened the box and my eyes widened at seeing a beautiful ring that consisted of a silver band. In the center was an onyx and on either side of the onyx were two amethysts.

"My Leena, my Nightshade, my love will you marry me?"

I was so stunned all I could do was nod. He then took my left hand and slipped the ring onto my ring finger. Then Garrus picked me up and kissed me again.

"You know I heard women like men with scars" he purred after the kiss.

"I actually find them sexy" I confessed.

I then placed several kisses where his scars were. The turian purred when I did that.
