Saren's POV
Rue and I had our first date earlier in the evening. We simply had dinner together before spending time in each other's company back at her apartment. Her home was filled with different types of plants and flowers due to the love of her job.
We talked for hours and I could see myself having a future with this woman. Before leaving I made sure to give my Little Wolf a kiss and she enjoyed it because when it ended she growled. I had been sleeping when something woke me up. I tried to go back to sleep but again something was bothering me.
Suddenly my Omni Tool came to life and I saw Rue was calling me.
"Saren?"
She sounded upset about something.
"I'm here Little Wolf what's wrong?"
"Can you come over? I know it's late but damn it I don't want to be alone"
"I'll be there shortly" I promised before packing an overnight bag and left my apartment.
Rue's POV
I jumped when the chime at my front door notified me someone was here. I left the bedroom and breathed a sigh of relief when it was only Saren. I let the turian into the apartment and shut the door behind him.
Saren's POV
I had Rue sit down on the sofa with me so she could relax.
"Thank you for coming" the wolf shifter began. "I had a bad dream tonight that was surreal and it upset me"
I carefully touched her cheek and kissed her forehead.
"The reason I left Earth was due to my father" Rue began and she looked at me. "As you know wolves live in packs and my father was the alpha, my mother died while giving birth to me and since that day I never knew what a father's love for his daughter was like"
She paused for a few minutes before continuing.
"I lived a normal life growing up but my father never once showed any affection for me, despite making sure I had the best education and upbringing, I was the cause for his mate's death, since I was his daughter I had the bloodline of an alpha flowing through my veins so an arranged marriage was made between me and that of another wolf male, the sole purpose was for me to become pregnant and have a male heir"
At hearing that I held back a growl.
"I of course had no intention of being carted off to a male wolf I barely knew so I rebelled of course, but I was under the age of seventeen and had no control, my intended turned out to be a very kind man who not only listened but decided to help me get free from my father's control"
"Your father never touched you did he?" I asked. I was worried if her sire had ever hit her.
Rue shook her head.
"What did your intended do?"
Rue smiled at that question.
"He and I pretended to fall in love with the other, once I turned eighteen he took me away from my father's pack and then helped me get the hell out of the state I was in, I went to college and got my education in the field I loved and came here to the Citadel, but in my dream my father found me and not only dragged me back to Earth, he took me away from you"
"It was only a dream and no one will take you from me"
When I said those words I truly meant them. Rue then pressed her lips against my mouth plates and I wrapped one arm around her body so I could pull her close to me. However, the moment her lips touched mine it woke something I couldn't explain.
Suddenly I felt Rue crying and alarmed I stopped the kiss.
"What saddens you, Little Wolf?"
"I am not sad Saren"
She then placed both of her hands onto my face and pressed her forehead against mine.
"You felt it too didn't you, a pulling sensation?"
"Yes but I'm unfamiliar with it"
"It's because your not a shifter and another race, Saren you are my true mate"
Now I was familiar with the term mate.
"So you mean I was fated to be yours?"
"Yes my Moonheart"
When she called me that I felt my heart become warm. The next thing I did was carefully hug the woman that fate guided me to. Gods I loved her and I would fight like hell to keep her. Rue then claimed a kiss and it was quite a demanding one too.
I didn't hesitate to return it and soon our tongues were dancing for dominance. The couch suddenly became too small so while still holding onto the she-wolf I rose from the couch and walked in the direction of her bedroom. Our kiss didn't end until I had her beneath me on the mattress.
"We can wait Little Wolf if you don't want this now"
"No, I want this Saren" she reassured me placing a hand onto my face.

Rue's POV
Saren looked unsure about what to do next so I guided his hands onto the waistband of my now-soaked panties. It took him a minute to understand what I wanted and he slowly pulled my underwear down my legs. He tossed them onto the floor before eying my naked form.

Saren's POV

"It's your turn to show me what you feel Little Wolf" I encouraged her.
