Leena's POV

"You look nice Leena" Saren greeted me as I found him and Rue at our reserved table. The older turian stood up and we shook hands before we sat back down.

When Saren had told me he was officially mated to Rue I wasn't surprised. In my mind, they were a perfect couple and I was happy for them both. The outfit Saren had complimented me on was the black dress I currently wore. The edges of the dress were purple and I wore black flats on my feet. I hated high heels because the damn things hurt like no tomorrow.

"So where's your intended?" Rue asked wondering where my fiancé was.

"Parking the sky car, he suggested I come inside and find you two"

A waitress came over and took our drink orders before going to have them made.

"Holy shit! Is that your ring?!" Rue exclaimed seeing my engagement ring on my left hand.

"Spirits that's nice" Saren added eying the piece of jewelry with the same amount of interest as Rue. I blushed at their reactions. Nearby some patrons were dancing to the music. Some of the restaurants in the Citadel had dance floors.

Garrus walked through the entrance and looked around before finding where our group was. As he walked in my direction some female patrons eyed my mate and I shot them death glares. This got Saren to chuckle and Rue was doing her best not to laugh as well.

"Did I miss something?" Garrus wondered as he took a seat next to me.

"Some women were eyeballing you" Rue answered. "And Leena wasn't too pleased about that"

"Damn right" I agreed.

Garrus snorted before pressing a kiss against my forehead. My beloved exchanged a civil hello with Saren.

"You can't exactly blame Leena for shooting those women glares Little Wolf" Saren stated looking to Rue. "All shifters are possessive of their mates, just like turian's are"

"You got that right" the florist agreed as the waitress returned with our drinks. We decided to wait a while to order dinner. Rue then looked to Garrus. "So is it true your Archangel?"

"Yes it's true" Garrus confirmed. He then pointed at the scars on the right side of his face. "I got this from the Blue Suns, it scared the hell out of Leena when I was brought down"

"Of course, it scared me, but not only did you pull through the surgery, but you also popped the question afterward"

"Love makes you do crazy things" Saren interjected. "But I'm not surprised your Archangel, Garrus, my condolences about your team"

My fiancé thanked him for his words before taking a sip of his drink. The music in the room changed and I noticed Garrus was thinking about something. Then he suddenly stood up and grabbed my hand.

"Babe, what are you doing?"

Was he seriously going to take me on the dance floor?

"It'll be fun" my fiancé promised.

Before I could protest even more my Archangel had me standing up and in his grasp. His right arm was around my waist while his left hand held my right. My left hand was on his shoulder and it wasn't long until the two of us were dancing to the music.

"Been taking lessons on the side" he purred as I followed his lead.

"I'd say bullshit" I responded. "I'm going to kick your ass for this later"

Garrus wore a smirk before spinning me away from him. Then he pulled me back into his arms and continued guiding me through our dance.

"Promises, promises" he teased.

Just for that remark, I gave his left foot a light kick. He recovered from the light jab to his foot and once more we continued our dance. At one point I actually put my leg onto his waist and several patrons gasped. Garrus smirked again before pulling back and now the crowd had our full attention.

As the dance continued I did my best to keep up with my mate's lead. I had to admit I was enjoying this and so was Garrus. Someone wolf-whistled as Garrus spun me away from him again and from our table, both Saren and Rue looked amused. My fiancé grabbed my hand once more and I was back in his arms once more following his lead.

The song began to close and as it ended I placed my leg back onto Garrus's waist and my Archangel dipped me beneath him. The crowd applauded as Garrus asked.

"So my Nightshade did you enjoy that?"

"Oh hell yes" was my response as my beloved pulled me back up to him. "It looks like your reach and flexibility are good here too"

"You know it and it gets even better when you try it in bed"

Later.

Saren's POV

The rest of our dinner was nice and watching Leena dance with Garrus was amusing. I was taking Rue home for the night since we both had to work the next day.

"You know my Moonheart perhaps we should try what Leena and Garrus did earlier"

"Little Wolf I'm afraid I can't dance to save my life, but I can think of other things to please you"

Rue shook her head and I gave her a quick peck on the lips.

"Rue?"

I narrowed my eyes at the male who interrupted us.

"Cato? Holy shit is that you?!"

The man smiled and nodded.

"It's good to see you again Rue, I would approach but I don't want to be disrespectful in front of your mate"

"Saren it's alright this is the male wolf who helped me leave Earth"

This got me to widen my eyes and relax. I then made the first move and walked over to the male wolf shifter.

"My apologies, Saren Arterius"

I held my hand out to Cato.

"A pleasure to meet you Saren, I'm glad that Rue has found her true mate"

We shook hands and Rue was beside me now. She and Cato exchanged a hug.

"What are you doing here Cato? You normally don't leave Earth" Rue asked.

Carl's face then turned serious.

"I'm afraid I bring bad news old friend" he began. "Your father knows you are here, and he is hell-bent on taking you back to Earth"

That got me to snarl and I drew an arm around my Little Wolf.

"My father can kiss my ass" Rue spat. "I'm a full-grown wolf and have my own life, he doesn't own me"

"I know Rue, but remember he's a powerful alpha, I came here to warn you and help in any way I can"

"He won't take my mate" I hissed. "I won't allow it, we are bound and that can't be unbroken"

"He'll still find loopholes" Cato continued. "I hate him as much as Rue does, but seeing that you and Rue are mate bound that will be a challenge for him to break apart, I gave my word to Rue when she left Earth I would always look out for her and hence why I'm here now"

"I have an idea"

Cato and I looked to my Little Wolf.

"I'll explain inside, Cato interested in hearing what I have in mind?"

"Only if Saren is comfortable with my presence"

I definitely liked this wolf shifter. Not only was he respectful but he was also polite.

"You are welcome to come inside"

"I like your mate Rue, fate has chosen well for you"

"That and I'm just lucky"

My Little Wolf then kissed my cheek before the three of us went inside to hear what idea Rue had in mind.
