Leena's POV

"Leena everything okay? You were gone for a bit" the Commander asked as I rejoined him and Tali at the docking bay.

"Yep just had something to do"

My something was sneaking on Koris while he was alone and I kicked him where the sun didn't shine. I made sure I wasn't caught and the asshole admiral was going to be sore for a while.

"I don't think I wanna know" Shepard replied as the shuttle guard unlocked the transportation for us and wished our group luck.

The ride to the Alarei was uneventful. And as expected the moment we got on board we took down several geth. I know Cypher would have loved being here burning the hell out of these geth but this was a quarian fleet ship and I was sure the other quarian's wouldn't appreciate having parts of their ship scorched.

We watched a brief video log as well as gathering some things before making our way into another room. On one of the beds or exam tables was part of a geth drone. Tali approached it and told us this geth had been one she had sent to her father. Since the drone was useless we left the room and continued looking around for more geth and clues to help Tali prove her innocence.

We watched another log where it appeared the geth were about to take over the vessel. Another log was found in what appeared to be a lab. On it was a quarian woman who was trapped and before she was killed she told her son she loved him and for her child to be good for his father.

"Damn it" I muttered not even imaging how scared the woman had been before her death. Up the stairs, we found more geth and as usual, we shot the bastards down. In the hallway was a console and it interested Tali.

"This console might have something, most of the data is corrupted but a few bits are left," she said.

She used her omni-tool to extract the information before turning to us.

"They were performing experiments on geth systems, looking for new ways to overcome the resistance reprogramming"

"Anything useful to help prove your innocence?" I wondered.

"Doubtful this is mainly results data, effects of different disruptive hacking techniques, I don't understand all of it, but they may have been activating the geth deliberately, I don't know nothing says specifically but if they were then Father did something terrible"

We shot down another group of geth in the next room and when they were dead we found another video log but it was only simple information.

"Oh no," I muttered when our group came upon a dead quarian. I couldn't explain why but I immediately knew this was Tali's father. Tali rushed over to her father's body and she began to cry. Immediately I went over to her and after helping her up did I hug her. The Commander placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Damn it, damn it, I'm sorry" the quarian apologized.

"Don't apologize for mourning Tali it's natural" I reassured her.

"Thank you I'm just in shock" she responded. "Maybe he would have known I'd come, he could have left a message"

I pulled away from Tali and her father's omni-tool lit up and a hologram of Rael appeared.

"Tali if you are listening then I am dead, the geth have gone active and I don't have much time, the main hub will be on the bridge, you'll need to destroy it to stop their VI processes from forming new neural links"

The message was cut off shortly afterward. Shepard asked if Tali wanted to remove her father's body back to the shuttle but Tali said the mission came first. I gave her a pat on the back before we continued onward. Our group disposed of the geth in the following room before we came upon the console that was linked to the main hub Rael had mentioned in his message.

Tali didn't seem like she wanted to hear anything the console might have but she decided we had to find out. She was also coming to terms with her father being involved with what happened on the Alarei. I didn't blame her, you never wanted to hear a parent was involved in something bad. She used her omni-tool to activate the console and another video log appeared.

In it, Rael was with two quarian scientists discussing about a new shipment Tali sent and they could add two new geth into the network. The other scientist mentioned they were nearing a breakthrough on systemic viral attacks, she also suggested the Admiralty Board should be informed just to be safe.

Rael disagreed with that and he did not want his child involved in what he was doing. When the message was finished the Commander told Tali.

"Your father was deliberately networking the geth to sapience to do weapons tests"

"That breaks our most sacred laws, laws that predate our flight from the homeworld! Everything here is his fault, I tried to pretend it didn't point to him but this, when this comes up in the trial they'll"

I decided to give Shepard and Tali a moment to talk so I left the room. The two of them rejoined me a few minutes later and we left the Alarei without any further incident. We returned to the ship where the trial was being held and we arrived at the hearing just before Koris tried any bullshit.

"Sorry we're late" Tali greeted the board.

I went to watch again on the sidelines.

"You didn't waste much time declaring us dead, go get your ship" Shepard stated to the admirals.

"We apologize Shepard" Admiral Gerrel responded. Tali had introduced us to him and his other colleague before we left for the Alarei. "Your success in taking back the Alarei is very unexpected"

"But also very welcome" Raan added.

"Did you find anything on the Alarei that could clarify what happened there?" Gerril went on. Shepard didn't hold back.

"Tali's achievements are the only evidence you should need, come on Tali, we're leaving"

The crowd was now talking and the admirals were in shock.

"This is a formal proceeding!" Koris protested.

Shepard let loose on Koris.

"Wrong Admiral! This is a sham! You're trying to build sympathy for the geth to forestall the war effort!"

Koris was about to make another comment but the Commander continued his point.

"And you want all the messy experiments covered up so you can throw your fleet at the geth!"

Gerrel was even speechless now.

"Do whatever you want with your toy ships, but leave my crew out of your political bullshit! We have no new evidence you can accept Tali's word or you can exile the woman who saved the Citadel from the geth along with her fellow crewmates"

The room quieted down and soon the verdict was read from Raan.

"Tali'Zorah in light of your history of services we do not find sufficient evidence to convict, you are cleared of all charges"

Behind my helmet, I was grinning. The hearing was concluded and Tali thanked me and Shepard for being there for her.

"What exactly did you do before we left for the Alarei?" she wondered looking at me.

"Oh I kicked Koris where the sun didn't shine, don't worry I wasn't caught"

Tali and the Commander had to keep their laughter down so no one would get nosy.

Back on the Normandy

Still Leena's POV

Tali and I did end up having a couple of drinks. Tali got a buzz while I didn't.

"Quarian politics are a pain in the ass," Saren said after Tali decided to go lay down. "Is it true you kicked one in the well ya know"

"Yep he was an ass"

The older turian shook his head.

"Your sense of humor will never tire me, Leena"

"Perhaps I should have been a comedian"

This got Saren to snort in amusement.

"Out of curiosity do you think about marrying Rue one day?"

"Hmmm that is a good question, to be honest, I don't know maybe"

"Time will tell but if you decide to go down that road it's worth it"

"I wouldn't mind having Rue as my wife, then I won't have to chase off any fools who try flirting with her"

"Yeah those who don't get the memo your mates are idiots"

Saren chuckled and he pat me on the shoulder before leaving. I found my husband in the Main Battery doing more calibrations.

"I was wondering when you'd come find me" Garrus greeted as the doors behind me shut.

"I needed a drink or two," I told him.

My Archangel snorted before turning to me. The next thing I knew I was picked up and set down on the console in front of him. He stood between my legs and he attacked the left side of my neck with his tongue and small kisses.

One of his hands went to one of my breasts through my tank top and he massaged it. With a growl, I claimed his mouth plates in a much-needed kiss. As our tongues danced the doors to the room opened and immediately our kiss ended. Shepard wore a smirk when he saw us and I was blushing like hell.

"We were just uh"

"Relax you two I understand" the human reassured us. "You don't need to explain anything"

"We uh were in a mood" Garrus responded.

"I'll come back later"

My husband and I watched as Shepard left and the turian made sure to lock the doors.

"Now we won't be interrupted" he purred.

"We're not having sex here" I growled.

"Of course not but that doesn't mean I intend to neglect my bride"

To prove his point he gave my neck an affectionate nip with his teeth.

"Oh, you don't neglect me" I corrected and gave his mouth plates a quick peck. "Instead you make sure I'm given plenty of attention, and when we're not busy I like having your naked body against mine that way I can have you at my mercy"

"You're so mean and I'm okay with that" he replied huskily
