Leena's POV

"Hey, you okay?" I asked my husband as I entered the Main Battery.

Our next mission was on Tuchanka. According to Shepard the Primarch's son was there and he needed help. However, Primarch Victus was hiding something and Shepard didn't like being kept in the dark.

"I'm just worried about my family" my husband admitted. "Saren is helping in trying to locate them"

The look on my beloved's face broke my heart and I walked over to him. I kissed his cheek and hugged my Archangel. Garrus kissed my forehead in return and wrapped his arms around my waist. The two of us remained like that for who knows how long.

Later on Tuchanka

Still Leena's POV

"This crash site is a nightmare," Shepard said as Cortez drove the shuttle. EDI was accompanying us on this mission along with Cypher. "EDI try to raise Lieutenant Victus"

"Yes sir" the robot female answered before getting to work.

"For a turian commander what happened here its let's just say the turian code is not forgiving" Garrus stated.

"I just hope Tarquin is okay, Danielle has been worried about him during this war" I added. I turned to look at my mate. "When you left for Palaven I was very scared"

"My love I am a tough man to kill and I fight like hell for you"

Cortez found us a decent landing spot and he wished us luck before we got off of the shuttle. A minute later after the shuttle left did Shepard start communicating with Lieutenant Victus. From the other end, my sister's mate spoke and I was relieved to hear he was okay. But it was obvious he was in the middle of a fight due to the gunshots being heard over the transmission.

A flare was sent up and seeing that was where Tarquin and his men were did we head on out. We followed the Commander up a ladder and kept vigilant as we walked around. Shepard spotted a group of Husks and used a grenade to kill them.

"Nice work" I praised my human friend. "A quick kill"

Shepard flashed me a smirk before we continued onward. We had to climb another ladder and found an escape pod with some dead turian soldiers. The Commander then told us he spotted the enemy and the bastards didn't know we were here.

"Cypher you know what to do buddy"

The Metal Dragon grinned as he activated his illusion gift before taking flight. We all got into position and crept a little closer before it was go time. Cypher began to spit out his dragon fire while the rest of us exchanged gunfire with a variety of enemies.

A damn Harvester showed up and Cypher immediately pounced on it and let loose with his dragon fire. One of the turian soldiers shouted enthusiastically as the Harvester fell lifeless and burnt to a crisp on the desert floor.

Some other turian soldiers thanked us before we continued going ahead. Again we scaled another ladder and found some more dead turian bodies. Our group then went to a lower level and met up with more Reaper enemies. Along with our gunfire Cypher either burned or clawed the hell out of the Reapers he targeted.

Another Harvester showed up and once again Cypher burned it down. A Husk tried to sneak up on me but Garrus killed the damn thing using his omni-blade.

"Always saving my ass huh babe?"

"Your damn right" my husband replied.

Tarquin came over the commlink and told us to hurry. Some other turian soldiers voiced their displeasure of their Lieutenant. At some point a third Harvester showed up but before Cypher could do anything a large bronze creature pounced on the Harvester.

My eyes widened when I saw it was another Metal Dragon. It had the same body structure and metal scales as Cypher. The unknown Metal Dragon burned the Harvester to a crisp before it took flight in the direction of where Tarquin was.

"Cy do you know that Metal Dragon?!" I shouted to my buddy.

"I don't know she was in here for only a minute!"

So the mysterious bronze-colored dragon had been female. Things were quiet for a bit until we found more Reaper foes. This time Cypher could burn something and he was enjoying himself. I ended up pissing off a Brute when I gave it the middle finger and when it charged in my direction I shot the ugly ass Reaper creature down before it could even touch me.

When the area was clear we followed the Commander and soon we found Tarquin Victus. The Lieutenant was trying to tend to the bronze-colored Metal Dragon who was still in her larger form. She had a good-sized injury in her wing membrane. Tarquin applied medi-gel to the dragon's injury and she whimpered in pain. Tarquin put the medi-gel down and spoke to the Metal Dragon softly while stroking her snout.

Just as Shepard spoke out Cypher landed on the ground in his larger form.

"Shale?"

The female Metal Dragon perked her head up at hearing her name.

"Little brother" she greeted affectionately.

My eyes went wide because I never expected for Cy to have a sibling. Tarquin stepped aside as Cypher went over to his sister and they rubbed heads in greeting.

"Commander Shepard my men and I are in your debt" my sister's mate finally spoke up. He jumped down to where we were and some of his men followed. "Thank you for saving so many"

Tarquin then took notice of me.

"Leena Vakarian, it's a pleasure to meet you at last"

"Same here, I'm sorry about your squad what happened?"

One of Tarquin's men grabbed him.

"He screwed up"

"Stand down soldier" Tarquin ordered.

"These men are dead because of him"

"I said stand down!"

I came to the two turian men and pushed them apart.

"Oi!, we just saved all your asses so chill the f**k out"

The soldier growled before walking off.

"Tarquin can you explain what's going on?"

"I made a bad call this is all on me, I chose caution and clever tactics over a head-on attack, and my men paid the price"

"Owning up to your actions takes guts," Shepard said. "But the only thing you can do now is move forward"

"Yes, your right" Tarquin agreed. "But our mission is still a failure when we stabilized the injured we'll head back to the fleet"

"No, you need to continue your mission and make sure it gets completed Tarquin" I interrupted. I looked to Cypher and his sister as well as the surviving soldiers before looking back to Tarquin. "It may be impossible but you need to believe in yourself and that of your platoon"

Tarquin registered my words for a few moments before nodding.

"What exactly were you sent here for?" Garrus inquired.

"There's a bomb on the planet, we were sent to diffuse it but Cerberus has it and it's enormous"

"Oh hell no that's even more of a reason to finish this mission"

"Agreed"

Tarquin then went to his men and began to speak to them. His speech was not only motivating but also encouraging. The remaining turian soldiers saluted their superior before heading off. Shale then got to her feet and walked over to Tarquin's side.

"So you and Tarquin are companions?"

"Yes and I'm pleased to meet you, Leena, I am glad Cypher has a companion of his own, he also carries the scent of a female he's mate bound to"

Cypher growled as he joined my side and he smacked his sister in the side with his tail.

"Be nice Shale" Tarquin advised his partner.

Shale chuckled before giving Cypher some affectionate licks with her tongue and the male Metal Dragon purred.

"Leena is Dani okay? I was worried she didn't make it off Earth in time"

"She's safe my friend, along with the rest of our family"

"Thank the spirits" the turian stated in relief.
