Sora was clutching his Keyblade hard. Mewtwo's mental warning and Crazy Hand's order was still ringing in his mind. However, he knew he couldn't follow them. "Running away" wasn't in his vocabulary. Dodging another one of those dark copies of Crazy Hand's attempts to grab him, he hit it as hard as he could with his weapon, following it up by a Thundaga spell, causing it to dissolve into dust.
However, that was only one of his many foes. Stopga was already wearing off in another one and beginning to move. Using Blizzaga, he froze it in place. He was hit by a shockwave that threw him to the floor. Using his Sonic Blade, he disposed of another two before using Firaga to stun a third. Other enemies quickly replaced the fallen ones. Avoiding a slap from one of them, he was hit by several fireballs from behind, followed by a slam by another one from above.
Getting up, he looked back. One of the portals was a short distance away. Using it to escape was tempting...
No! I can't do that! I can't abandon the friends I made here! I have to save them!
A memory of seeing a bruised and battered Banjo and Kazooie being taken away, with the latter trying helplessly to peck at her captor came to his mind. He'd witnessed other enemies fly away, but he couldn't tell who it was they'd captured.
He heard a nearby "Jiggs!" and he looked on as Jigglypuff was seized.
"NO!" screamed Sora. He jumped above the group of enemies that surrounded him in an attempt to reach her, only to be beaten back into the ground by one that managed to intercept him. He felt the wind get knocked out of him. He slowly got back up, but his vision was blurry. He could hear Jigglypuff's singing in the distance as the Pokemon used everything she could to free herself.
Running forward he used all his might to defeat another one of the copies. And then another. And another. Then he dropped down to the ground. His breathing was haggard and short. His movement clumsy. He tried to move, but his legs wouldn't respond.
He could only feel his consciousness fading away as he was lifted off the ground...
