A guard's body fell to the ground with an ice spike stuck in his head. Luz looked at the broken spikes on her bat and just shrugged. She could make more if she wanted. Luz walked up the final set of stairs and kicked the hatch open. She climbed out and saw Belos standing there.
"I hope you're ready, mother fucker, because I'm about to kill you for what you did to Eda." Luz said.
"You really are impressive." Belos said, "You managed to fight your way through a castle of trained guards."
"And? You want to know how many are alive? Because I have some bad news for you." Luz said, "So, why don't you turn around and let me kill you with ease."
"Oh... I wouldn't recommend that." Belos said, turning around, "Or else you might lose another parent."
Luz's eyes went wide as she saw Belos, holding a knife to her mom's throat. Luz didn't even care why she was here or how Belos got a hold of her. All she saw was red.
"Let go of her!" Luz said.
"Or what?" Belos asked, "I already made an example of that basilisk she's keeping."
That made Luz even more mad, she knew that Vee was more than scared of Belos, she was terrified of him. Luz glared at him.
"If you so much as touched a hair on her head, I will beat you half to death, then burn the other half!" Luz said.
"Oh, don't worry, she'll live... you on the other hand." Belos chuckled, "You won't."
Suddenly, several guards appeared behind Luz and tackled her. They attempted to arrest her, but that was stopped, when a sudden blast of purple fire hit one of them.
"Get away from my Luz!" Amity said.
She flew in and grabbed one of them. She stayed in the air and beat the guard with her staff. Soon, Boscha, Skara, and Raine arrived as well. They easily managed to get Luz out from under the Guards.
"If you ever do something like that again, you are grounded until you have Eda's hair color!" Raine said, "Now go kill that bastard!"
"On it." Luz said as she held her bat tight.
Luz walked up to Belos. Belos held the knife tightly against Camila's neck, drawing a small bit of blood, but nothing that would lead to injury.
"Don't move or I'll-"
Belos was cut off when he was hit by something in the back of the head. Belos dropped the knife and he stumbled forward, letting go of Camila. Hunter grabbed Camila and teleported away from Belos. Luz took this chance to run and slam the bat into Belos' head. She proceeded to beat the ever-living hell out of Belos with it. The anger that filled her heart was slowly leaving with every hit, every swing, every bone she was breaking, she felt a lot happier. Like Raine told her, remove the fear and anger from your heart, and you'll be better. She had to admit, she was feeling better... until Belos grabbed the bat.
"Enough of this!" He said, snapping the bat over his knee, "All of you have pushed me to my limits!"
Belos pulled out his staff and slammed it on the ground. This shook the building and made a red shockwave get released, resulting in everyone falling down. Belos held his staff out and Camila was covered in a red outline and lifted in the air. Belos used his staff and moved Camila over the edge of the castle, before turning to Luz.
"You wanted me to let her go? Fine."
Belos stopped his staff from using magic and left Camila's fate to gravity.
