Leena's POV

"Oh wow," I muttered as I got off of the shuttle along with Garrus, Shepard, and Tali. We were on Rannoch and the Quarian homeworld was beautiful.

"Oh wow is an understatement" Cypher corrected me. He was perched on my shoulder eying the beauty of our surroundings.

Nearby Shepard gave Tali a rock symbolizing a memento of her first time here on Rannoch. My husband joined my side and intertwined his hand with mine. Afterward, our group began to follow Shepard. Our mission was to find a Reaper base and destroy it. Upon arrival, Cypher activated his illusion gift before taking flight and went to burn down any enemies ahead.

As expected we exchanged gunfire with some Geth troops. Our current objective was to meet up with Legion on a Geth transport. When the first wave of Geth was cleared outside we ventured inside the base and dealt with more waves of Geth troops. While inside the base Shepard overridden some shields before we resumed trying to meet up with Legion. During the chaos of gunfire, I heard Cypher let out a shriek of glee as he burned down his prey before the Metal Dragon rejoined us and we took an elevator to an upper level.

Upon arrival, Cypher took flight again and began to burn the living hell out of several Geth Prime units. These guys were persistent in keeping us out of here too. When the coast was clear we followed Shepard outside to the edge of a balcony. A few minutes later the Normandy flew by and sent out a weave of missiles into the mysterious pit below us. The pit lit up in an explosion and Shepard lost his balance.

He fell to the ground below but was unharmed. Cypher then growled menacingly and the familiar sound of a Reaper was heard. Just as one of the Reaper's metal feet emerged out of the pit Cypher flew from my shoulder and took to his larger form. The Metal Dragon then hovered in the air close to me and I go onto his back.

As the Reaper emerged out of the pit Tali and Garrus hauled ass to where Legion was waiting. I held onto Cypher's neck spikes as Cypher began to spit flames at the Metal Bastard. At being burned the Reaper shrieked before Shepard and the Quarian Fleet fired their rounds at it. The Reaper fell to the ground but it would be back up shortly.

"Yo, you need to fly higher" I advised Cy.

"Noted" my buddy agreed and with a flap of his wings, he rose high enough so we wouldn't worry about getting caught in the crossfire when the Fleet would unleash their wrath on the Reaper. The damn thing was back on its feet and the Fleet was shooting constant rounds into the Reaper thanks to the help of the Normandy.

With each shot, the Reaper got weaker and eventually, the last few rounds from the Fleet and Normandy did the trick. The Reaper fell to the ground and I watched as Shepard approached the machine. My blood ran cold when the Reaper began to talk and Cypher hissed. The Metal Bastard talked bullshit for a few moments before it finally died.

Cy looked around for a spot to land and he chose one closest to where the Commander was. Garrus and Tali were with him. Once on the ground, Cy lowered himself so I could get off of his back, and soon I was with my husband along with Shepard and Tali.

"We can confirm that the Geth are no longer being used by the Old Machines we are free" Legion added.

"That's awesome news Legion," I told the friendly Geth.

"Indeed it is" Legion agreed before continuing. "Shepard, Commander the Geth only acted in defense after the creator's attacked, do we deserve death?"

Shit that was a tough question. Even I didn't have an answer for that. Legion was one of many Geth and in my opinion, he deserved to stay alive.

"What are you suggesting?" Shepard inquired.

"Our upgrades with the Old Machine dead we could upload them to all Geth without sacrificing their independence" Legion explained as he approached the dead Reaper.

"You want to upload the Reaper code? That would make the Geth as smart as when the Reaper was controlling them!" Tali stated not believing her ears.

"Yes but with free will, each Geth unit would be a true intelligence, we could be alive and we could help you" Legion informed Tali.

Tali voiced her displeasure but Shepard told Legion to upload the code. The Commander then told Tali to communicate with the Fleet. Legion opened his hands and a blue sphere formed between them. The uploading process began and Tali couldn't persuade the Fleet to back off. But Shepard knocked some sense into them with Tali backing him up. Gerrel told the Fleet to hold fire and Legion almost had the code uploaded but there was an error.

"Damn it no Legion" I protested when I figured out what the friendly Geth was about to do. He was going to sacrifice himself so the other Geth could have their own intelligence.

"I am sorry Leena" the friendly Geth apologized. "It's the only way"

With a small sob, I embraced the friendly Geth goodbye. Cypher emitted a sad growl as I pulled away from Legion.

"Legion the answer to your question was "Yes"

Legion looked to the Quarian female.

"I know Tali and thank you Keelah se'lai"

Then the friendly Geth fell to his knees and soon lay on the ground. I felt Garrus join me and he intertwined a hand into mine as Legion passed on. A few minutes later Admiral Raan found us. She was clutching her side most likely due to an injury but other than that she was okay. Tali suddenly raised her gun as a Geth Prime unit approached us.

"You are welcome to return to Rannoch, Admiral Raan, with us"

The Geth Prime wasn't Legion but he did say that Legion's sacrifice gave him and the other Geth a chance to live peacefully alongside the Quarians. Also, the Geth and Quarians would help retake Earth and to finish building the Crucible. Cypher reverted to his smaller form and he flew over to my shoulder.

Garrus and I smiled at each other as Tali looked into the horizon. She and her people finally had their homeworld back and that was worth celebrating.

Back on the Normandy

Leena's POV

"Damn it Saren" I growled as the older turian made his move. We were playing chess and Saren was good at it. I just lost a chess piece and I shook my head while taking a sip of wine. My friend flashed me a smirk.

"No offense love but Saren is kicking your ass" Garrus joked. He was watching me play against the older turian. Cypher was perched on my shoulder and Noire was on Saren's. I flipped my husband off before thinking about my next move. It took a few minutes before I moved another chess piece and Saren swore when I claimed his Queen.

"I didn't know you were competitive," Saren said as he made his next move.

"Nah I just like to play" I confessed. "You should play against my sister, she's better than me at games like this"

"I can back that up, Danielle beat Leena when we were on Earth"

"Hmmm then perhaps I'll challenge her then, oh shit"

The older turian was in checkmate but after some thinking, he got out of it and I ended up losing. Garrus and Cypher laughed but the two males ended up getting smacked by yours truly while Saren watched in amusement.
