"Oh these better be coming to rescue us" Daisy said in her most exasperated tone of voice. "Hiiii!" she waved to the two. "We don't want to fight but we did take down Terry so…take that as you will." Daisy said, slowly unsheathing her frying pan.

Mewtwo simply scoffed while the Blue Bomber was much friendlier. "Daisy, Luigi, Pichu! Mewtwo just teleported us here after we heard a massive Thunder."

("Correct. We too, escaped from the destruction of the mansion.")

Luigi, who had just gotten up, was taken aback. "What?"

He and Mewtwo each explained what they knew about what happened at the island and the mansion.

"...And now we have to find a way to heal up Pichu," Luigi sighed.

("You two really are the biggest fools in all of Smash. Toss in Jigglypuff and we would have ourselves the complete package. Fortunately, I have an idea...")

Concentrating, Mewtwo used his Psychic power to connect his mind to the downed fighter's, and, with his eyes glowing, sent out a pulse through it.

Mega Man went back to pick up the unconscious Terry with his Heavy Arm when the fighter suddenly moved. "Augh. What happened? I had the weirdest, yet best dream ever. Last thing I remember was trying to go up against..."

Daisy charged an attack against the Fighter, much to the shock of their new visitors.

He narrowly dodged her, completely oblivious to their previous confrontation. "Daisy, Daisy! Calm down!"

"Oh now you're not a fan of violence? Had to smack you all around the fields to get that into your noggin, huh?" Daisy gruffed. "Anyway, in case you have amnesia about the whole thing, I totally beat you singlehandedly." Daisy smiled fakely, before turning around to walk along with her new friends.

"What?" Feeling as though following them would lead to some answers, Terry decided to tag along. Luigi inspected Terry's face. Sure enough, the red effects in his eyes were gone.

"It's okay. I think we can trust him."

Mewtwo scanned the Fighter's mind. ("Indeed. He has no intention of malice. Just bewilderment and doubt. Luigi, what was the last thing that happened before he fell unconscious?")

"Pichu used Thunder on him until he fainted. That's how both of them ended like that."

"Not a bad band name. Bewilderment and doubt." Daisy quipped to her new Pokémon friend.

Terry gave a sigh of relief. "Well, at least she's not goin' after me anymore. So what exactly are we doing?"

("In the short term, when you or something in the form of you attacked these three, Pichu used so much electric power that he fainted, and we are going to the Grand Underground to find a Revive.") The group could soon spot a Mushroom Chasm in the distance they could go into.

"You mean like something else using my body to attack them?"

("That is likely the case, given your lack of memory and radical differences in your disposition,")

"Well geez, if really attacked you guys, I'm really sorry about that, even if I couldn't control it. All I remember is hanging out with my father and beating up a bunch of thugs trying to get at him."

"You also called me a mama's boy," Luigi added.

"I would never resort to that kind of name-calling."

"Yeah" Daisy snorted from laughing. "I sure hope you are more creative than that with your brain back to its rightful owner." Daisy smiled. "Galeem can put up a fight but he can not talk smack." Daisy went to comfort Luigi. "Besides, this mommy and her boy knew how to handle your foul mouth."

"You mean Galeem's foul mouth," snipped Terry.

("Stop arguing you two. We are almost there.")

"Okay, so how did I become unpossessed?"

"What likely happened is all that electricity from Pichu coursing through your system made your brain go all haywire, and with Mewtwo's help, it forced you awake while driving whatever was possessing you away," answered Mega Man.

The combined group made their way into the interior of the chasm in awe of the glistening valuable treasures.

Terry seemed baffled. "So many of these shiny gemstones, how do we know which one we're looking for? Sorry, I'm new here."

Mewtwo explained, ("A pale yellow trigonal dipyramid crystal structure also known as the...")

"Uh, Mewtwo, I think you're unintentionally confusing them," Mega Man said as he was sorting through his abilities for the one best suited to mine away.

"Opal, right?" Daisy said without batting an eye.

Luigi looked at her with a confused look on his face.

"I had a crystal phase back in the day, okay?" Daisy sighed. "Plus, mentioning the wrong gemstone can make-or-break the icebreaker compliment on another royal's crown jewels. It's a tough business, y'know." Daisy said in a matter-of-fact tone, still looking for the gem they needed.

("No.") Mewtwo used Focus Blast to carve out a crystal similar to the one he mentioned, but the wrong color before casually tossing it behind him. ("It is important to start with broad strokes, then to be more precise as you get into deeper layers. Otherwise, we might have a cave-in on our hands.")

"How do you know all about this stuff Mewtwo? I didn't think you would be the type to be into mining and stuff," asked Luigi.

("Lucario taught it to me. Apparently, it's something of a popular pastime in his native Sinnoh region. He even gave me several treasures he found there as part of a welcoming gift when I returned to the tournament.")

Terry sighted a glittering spot in the wall. "Hm. This looks like it could be it. Power Wave!" A Hard Stone fell out. "Aw, man! This is just another rock."

Mega Man used Super Arm to pry out a loose section. Out came a deposit with four yellow crystals sticking out. "Hey! I found four of them!"

("That's a Smooth Rock.")

"Aw, wingnuts."

"Mmmkay, do you have any strategy for those not capable of ripping open an entire cave wall with our mind?" Daisy asked as she browsed the cave wall like it was a grocery store aisle. "Yellow, yellow, yellow…" she whispered to herself.

Luigi became distracted by a Diglett that popped up in front of him. He got down to its level. "Hey there. You wouldn't happen to know where we could a Revive now, would you?"

The Diglett stared at him blankly before leaving.

He stood back up thinking about what he and Daisy could do to contribute to the effort. "Hmmm. Ah hah!" Luigi fired a Plunger Shot on a loose enough-looking boulder and Slammed it into a portion of the wall, giving way to connecting the main tunnel with a smaller path. "Hey Daisy, try using your golf club or frying pan."

"Don't mind if I do!" Daisy said, giving the wall a good clunk with the pan. "Well well, look what we have here…" Daisy said, her shrill voice echoing through the tunnel. "Hey Mewt, is this what we're looking for?"

Mewtwo levitated over to Daisy holding Pichu before focusing his powers on a natural breakpoint for the greater rock and cleaved out a Max Revive, giving it back to Daisy. ("Even better; a Max Revive. Well done.")

Luigi, Mega Man, and Terry followed suit, complimented her.

Daisy made a small, grateful bow at the crowd, before handing over the rock to Mewtwo. "So, where do we find the energy points on this fella. We need the vibrations to work optimally, right?" Daisy said, looking over to Mewtwo. "I usually use an amethyst to rebalance myself after a tough workout, but everyone has different energy recalibration levels that work best for them."

("All you have to do is put it in Pichu's mouth.")

"You're the expert." Daisy opened Pichu's mouth and put the Max Revive inside. The five of them watched as Pichu's eyes began to open and it stretched.

"Pichu!" Mewtwo set the smaller Pokémon down gently. Pichu was confused by its new surroundings, but as long as Daisy, Mewtwo, and especially Luigi were there, he knew he was safe and lept into Luigi's arms practically begging for head rubs to which his old friend happily obliged.

"So, Megamind. Know anything else about the whole…" Daisy gestured vaguely "Galeem thing? It actually kinda reminds me of the time Tatanga hypnotized all of my subjects and kidnapped me, so…I'm just waiting for that to happen. Princess duty and all that."

("To be honest, and I don't say this lightly, I possess just as little information on Galeem as you do. All we can do as of now is to gather more evidence and see if anyone else managed to escape. And be on your guard for anything or anyone that we encounter.")

"Always am. Glad to have you on my side. We make a good team." Daisy said, looking at everyone in the cave. "Now, shall we continue?"

"Don't see why not," said Terry.

"He's right," added Luigi. "If we were able to save him from Galeem, then Mario and the others aren't completely lost! We just have to find them!"

"Pichu!"

Mega Man and Mewtwo nodded in reassurance.

"Then let's go!" exclaimed the Blue Bomber.

"Does anyone need any more gems?" Daisy asked, carressing her hand over the stone walls to feel all the colorful and shiny stones. "I'm sure Mega Man would rock some topaz earrings." she said, looking back at the group. She got a bit ahead of the others, a habit of hers when she was excited or full of energy.

("Unless it's a Mind Plate you are after, then I have no interest,") Mewtwo answered.

Luigi sped up, still somewhat panicked. "Oh Daisy, as much as I wish I could just hide in this cavern 'till this whole mess-a blows over, we have to find and free my Big Bro before he gets himself killed!"

"Pichu."

"And Pikachu. Then, after we defeat Galeem and this, uh 'Dark Galeem', we can go mine for all the gems we want!"

Pichu became even more emotional.

Mewtwo read Pichu's thoughts and translated them out loud to Luigi: ("He says, 'Wow, that means a whole lot coming from you. You really have grown all this time. Maybe I...can grow too.'")

"I'm sure we all will Pichu." Daisy gave him a belly rub. "I'm sure you'll be a very big boy!"

She glanced at Luigi. "Well then, adventure calls!" she said, then glancing over at Mewtwo to teleport them to their next destination.
