The next day, Rin woke up with a slight headache. Which ultimately led to her decision to skip class for today. Her phone was dead, and she put the device to charge while dragging her feet to the bathroom. Luckily for her, there was no one in there. So she walked in and closed the door, immediately pulling down her pants and relieving herself. Afterward, she looked at herself in the mirror and groaned. Her eyes were red and her hair was all over the place.

"I look terrible," she said to herself, taking off her clothes and jumping into the shower.

Fifteen minutes later, she walked out of the bathroom with her purple towel wrapped around her body. It was close to ten in the morning, and Rin sat on her bed as she turned on her phone and started reading some unread messages. The first two were from Obito, and she smiled upon reading his messages.

Obito: Good morning
Obito: How are you feeling?

Rin was about to reply but then Kurenai and Anko knocked on her door and walked inside.

"Hey, you! Feeling sober?" Anko asked teasingly.

"Yeah," Rin said with a giggle, "I'm sober now. I don't even remember getting that drunk,"

"Well if you need a recap, just ask Obito for details," Kurenai teased with a wink, and Rin's eyes widened.

"What? Oh God, did I do anything stupid?!"

"Define stupid…" Anko said while rubbing her chin.

Rin rolled her eyes, "Come on! Anything that can make things awkward between me and him…"

"Well, you nearly fell on your face when we left the club. That's how drunk you got. And Obito carried you home,"

"...I guess that's not too bad?"

"You wouldn't stop rubbing your face against his neck," Kurenai added with a laugh, and Rin gasped.

"I was doing that!?"

"Yeah,"

"I'm pretty sure you gave him a boner," Anko said laughing, "And you also danced pretty seductively around him,"

"I remember that," Rin said while rubbing her temples, "I should remember my limit next time… Where's Shizune?"

"She…went home with that guy," Kurenai said, and Rin started thinking about last night. She suddenly gasped once she remembered seeing Shizune making out with a familiar guy.

"She went home with Hidan!?"

"Yup, that guy," Anko said, "He's kind of creepy. I texted her this morning to make sure she was OK, and she replied with a happy face. I'm pretty sure she lost her virginity to him,"

Rin groaned, "I wish she had found someone better. I never brought this up to anyone, but Hidan sometimes texts me these weird things. He asks me what color my underwear is or if I go to sleep naked,"

Kurenai and Anko raised their eyebrows, "Are you serious?"

"Do you have some of those texts?"

"Yeah. It's right here, look," Rin said, showing her friend the dirty text messages Hidan had sent her.

The two young women strolled through the text messages before giving Rin her phone back.

"That's creepy as fuck," Anko said, and Kurenai nodded.

"Should we show them to Shizune?"

"I don't know," she replied before facing Rin, "Has he touched you or anything?"

"Aside from trying to be near me, no. Whenever I visit Obito, I try to stay away from him,"

"Does Obito know about this?"

"No. I don't want to cause any issues since Hidan is one of his roommates,"

"I still think we should tell Shizune. Maybe not today, but when we see her and Hidan start getting serious," Kurenai suggested.

"Unless he stops?" Rin said with a shrug, "If he stops, then I guess that's OK? Honestly, if she and Hidan start going out, he'll be her first boyfriend and I don't want to break her heart,"

"You have a point,"

"So we'll do that," Anko said, "We won't say anything unless he starts being a creep again,"

The other two nodded.

After her friends were done teasing her and left, Rin changed into comfortable clothes and started texting Obito back.

Rin: Hey! Good morning. I am feeling much better, thank you for asking.

His response came a few minutes later.

Obito: :)

She bit her lip before forming her next message to him.

Rin: Also, thank you for taking care of me. I feel so bad and embarrassed. I honestly don't get that easily drunk… But thank you for bringing me home and I am really sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable and did anything inappropriate.
Obito: You did nothing wrong, so don't apologize. And I'll always be here to take care of you

Rin threw her head against her pillow and squealed in delight before answering.

Rin: I'll make sure to not drink too much next time. That way you can at least walk me home, and not have to carry me ;)
Obito: I liked carrying you

Rin chuckled and shook her head, feeling her ears become warm.

Rin: Careful, or I'll take you up on that in the future
Obito: My arms will always be here for you
Rin: You flirt ;) . Shouldn't you be at work finishing up that project?
Obito: I finished it an hour ago, so now I am working on the presentation.
Rin: Oh. I guess I should let you go so you can finish?
Obito: It's fine. I like talking to you. If you don't mind
Rin: I don't, but I also don't want to distract you from your work
Obito: You won't distract me :) Are you in class today?
Rin: No. I decided to skip today and do some studying on my own
Obito: Why don't you come over here to study? My roommates aren't here

Rin scratched the side of her head, thinking about what could happen between the two of them. There was no doubt that there were some feelings going on between the two of them. She was fairly certain that Obito had feelings for her, just like she had feelings for him. But the idea of dating and having a boyfriend made her nervous - what if it ended badly? Like with Ebisu? Nonetheless, both men had different personalities. Ebisu, who had been fairly nice initially, had some condescending tendencies to him. Even before he had asked her out, he had made comments about her hair or skin tone. And at that, when she was naive, she thought he was trying to help her look better. But now that she knew better, she understood that Ebisu was a manipulative prick. Obito was the opposite. He was a guy who went from helping her out with a class to being a genuine friend. And when she got super drunk, he took care of her and brought her home. The last time she got tipsy around Ebisu, the creep tried to take advantage.

Sighing, Rin grabbed her phone and replied.

Rin: Sure!
Obito: Great. See you soon :)

She got up from the bed and started packing her back with her laptop, charger, and textbooks. Afterward, she changed out of her sweats and into black tights and a pink t-shirt. She exited the apartment with her backpack.

The day was sunny and bright, which was perfect for a picnic. Nonetheless, being a full-time college student, there was no such thing as that. Food was eaten whenever, and typically inhaled more due to the stress of exams.

Before taking the bus to the other side of the campus, she stopped by a sandwich shop and bought two sandwiches. She remembered Obito enjoying meatball subs, so she got just that for him. After purchasing the food to go, she grabbed the bus and headed towards his home.

She reached within forty minutes and texted him that she was outside. He opened the door a minute later, wearing gray sweats and black men's tank top. Rin couldn't help but look at his exposed arms for no more than three seconds before looking back up at him. Oh, how she had the urge to touch…

"Hey!" she said, "I bought us lunch!"

He looked at the bag in her hand and smiled. "Nice! I'm actually pretty hungry,"

He held the door open for her as she walked inside, immediately noticing a large number of alcohol bottles on the coffee table.

"Drinking last night?"

"Not me. Hidan, a few of his friends, and your roommate Shizune were here last night,"

"Did she sleep over? She wasn't in the apartment this morning,"

Obito chuckled while taking out two plates, "Oh, she did. And with Hidan, to be specific,"

Rin shook her head, remembering the dirty texts Hidan had sent her before. But she didn't say anything, not wanting to start any drama. "Is she here? We were a bit worried about her,"

"I know Hidan took her to church this morning,"

"His religion has churches around?"

"There's one about an hour from here. He tried to get me to join but I refused," Obito said, placing each sandwich on a plate and then bringing them to the table.

"As long as he brings her back home safely, that's all that matters," Rin stated, taking a bite of her sandwich. She wanted to ask Obito more about Hidan, as the idea of Shizune and him possibly dating made her uncomfortable. She just couldn't see Hidan being some type of faithful person.

They finished eating quietly before heading upstairs to his room. Rin liked Obito's bedroom - it was plain and simple. He had a bed big enough for two people on one side, a two-seater sofa on the other, and a large computer desk by the window. His desk had two large monitors, his seventeen-inch laptop, wireless mouse, and keyboard. And his computer chair was very comfortable. She glanced at the monitors and saw numerous lines of code.

"What are you working on?" she asked, sitting on the sofa and taking out her laptop.

"I'm working on a brand new gaming app,"

"That sounds interesting. For what type of game?"

"Virtual reality. I have a few tweaks to make, and then I can test it out. I can also let you test it,"

"I would like that,"

"What are you going to work on?" he asked, sitting on his computer chair.

"I have to write a six-page business launch document," she said with a pout, opening the Word document on her laptop. The document was due tonight, and she had procrastinated long enough.

"I'll let you get to that then," he said.

"It shouldn't take me more than an hour or two to finish,"

They worked in silence, Obito debugging his software and Rin typing her long essay. She sat in different positions while typing out her sentences, not realizing the amused looks he was giving her. He smiled to himself as she typed loudly, scratching her head before rephrasing a particular sentence. He concentrated back on his work until his app was finally working and bug-free, which was about an hour later. He turned around and was surprised to find her asleep. Her laptop was still on and her work seemed complete. He wasn't sure for how long she had fallen asleep but decided to wake her up. He rolled himself towards her and gently shook her shoulders.

"Rin, wake up,"

"Hmm?"

"Wake up,"

"What time is it?" she asked tiredly, her eyes still closed.

"Close to five in the evening,"

She groaned tiredly and sat up, glaring at her document. She finished writing it but wasn't done with it just yet. "Shit, I need to proofread it,"

"Want me to read it?"

"You sure?"

"Yeah. I need a break from reading my own code,"

Rin smiled and gave him her laptop, "Go for it,"

He placed the laptop on his lap and started reading. In the meantime, Rin got up and went to the restroom. By the time she came back, Obito was halfway done reading her essay.

"How is it so far?" she asked.

"Few grammatical errors here and there… but aside from that, your objective is pretty good,"

She checked her phone quickly and her eyes widened quickly upon seeing Hidan's new text to her. His text came in about three minutes ago.

Hidan: Hey there ;)

She briefly glanced at Obito, who was still reading, before replying back to Hidan. It was the first time she would be responding back to any of his text messages.

Rin: Hello.

She wasn't sure what else to say and waited for him to text back. He could either text her something perverted or just be friendly considering he and Shizune now had a thing going on.

Hidan: I just saw you walk by. Your breasts look really nice in that shirt. I'm in my room. Wanna hang out?

Rin tried her best not to growl while replying back to him.

Rin: Why are you texting me like this? Aren't you and Shizune going out?

Hidan: I don't know, ask her. But I've been thinking about you a lot. I even had a dream of me fucking you

"I'm done," Obito said, and Rin nearly dropped her phone. "You OK?"

"Yeah," she said nervously, "Just reading something stupid from Anko. Anyway, how is it?"

"I fixed the misspellings," he said, "But aside from that, it's good,"

"Yay!" she said, taking the laptop back, "I'm going to submit it now before I forget. Thanks for reading it through,"

"Anytime," he replied, rolling back to his computer chair.

Rin quickly texted Anko and Kurenai about wanting to talk to Shizune later and then submitted her essay. Hidan sent her another text but she ignored it. According to Kurenai, Shizune was going to have dinner with her parents and that it's best to have the conversation afterward. Rin agreed. In the meantime, she decided to help Obito with testing his app. He did fix her grammatical mistakes after all.

She stood next to him as he ran his code. "Any progress?"

"Yup," he replied, unplugging his smartphone from his laptop and then placing it on the Oculus headset. He then turned to her, "Here, wear it,"

"It's ready for testing?"

"Yeah. The app will guide you through the game,"

"OK," she said, putting the headset on.

She stared at the screen that was literally an inch away from her face, watching as a few graphics appeared before the screen changed. She was suddenly in the middle of some cave, several rocks floating above her. The screen showed a countdown, starting from ten. Rin quickly guessed what the game was about, and once the countdown hit zero, she moved to the side to dodge a rock. More rocks started falling, and Rin moved back and forth while giggling.

"They're coming down too fast!"

Obito chuckled as he watched Rin move around his room with the large headset on her head. Her lips were curved in a large smile, and he stared at her lips a little too long. He had the urge to kiss her but didn't want to try anything to damage their growing friendship. So far, he enjoyed these types of interactions with her. As much as he wanted to be in a relationship with her, he also didn't want to rush anything. Especially as the semester was nearing the end.

"There are too many rocks!" Rin said, unknowingly heading towards him. "Umph!"

Obito caught her by softly wrapping his arms around her waist as she leaned against his body for support. She was somewhat sitting on his lap, giggling while taking off the headset.

"I got crushed by three rocks," she pouted, combing her hair with her fingers while giving the headset back to him.

He grabbed the headset with one hand, placing it on the computer desk behind him, as his other arm stayed around her figure. Rin didn't ignore the fact that his arm kept her in place on his lap, nor did she do anything to stop him. Just like how their conversations turned flirtatious every once in a while, this was another daring move to what could lead to a romantic relationship.

"Why did you pick rocks?" she asked curiously.

"It's a prototype for another idea I have," he replied.

"What's that idea?"

"Can't tell you. It's a secret for now,"

Rin pouted, "So you had me test out your rock game and can't tell me what the actual game is about? At least give me a hint,"

Obito looked up for a second before glancing back at her with a smirk, "I'm not telling you,"

Rin gasped before smirking back, "I see how it is. Guess I won't be telling you some of my secrets,"

"Like what?" he asked curiously, his dark eyes narrowing.

Rin rubbed her chin, feeling butterflies in her stomach as she felt Obito's fingers very softly stroke her waist from over her shirt. "Hm, like what I write about you in my diary,"

"You write about me?"

"Mhmm," she said, looking elsewhere while feeling his hand lay flat on her stomach. She could feel her heart pounding fast. "But it's a secret, so I can't tell ya',"

"Is this your weak spot?" he asked, wiggling his fingers against her side.

Rin tried her best not to laugh, but suddenly Obito started tickling her and she started laughing out loud. She tried to push his hands away, but he held her in place while tickling her. He pulled her more towards him, to the point where her back was pressed against his chest and she was wiggling on his lap while laughing.

"Obito, stop! Ha ha ha!"

"Tell me what you write about me then,"

"OK ok!" she said, and he stopped. She continued to giggle while trying to level her breathing. Obito kept her still on his lap. She took a deep breath before speaking, "I wrote how you saved me from failing statistics. And that you are an amazing tutor,"

Either he didn't seem convinced or was expecting something else. He looked at her and Rin got off his lap before he could tickle her again. She sat on the couch and smirked.

"I did write something else about you," His eyebrows raised, and she giggled, "But I'll tell you when the time is ready,"

He chuckled, "OK,"

Rin glanced at the time and started packing up. "I should get going now. It's late and….I need to talk to Shizune about something,"

"OK. I can drop you off,"

"You don't have to," she said, grabbing her bag, "I can just take the bus back, and it's not dark yet,"

"OK," he said, walking her to the front door of his house.

She put her shoes on and turned to him.

"Text me when you get home," he said, and she nodded.

Before leaving though, she quickly turned around and gave him a hug. And Obito froze for a moment before hugging her back, a wide smile on his face.

"I'll see you soon," she said, separating from him.

"Yeah," he said, watching as she walked towards the bus stop and got inside the campus bus.
