Anko, Rin, and Kurenai remained quiet as Shizune gushed about Hidan and how amazing the sex had been last night. She played with her hair and nails while recounting everything to them - from the moment he asked her to dance, to them dancing and making out, to her being in his home before he took her to bed and made love to her.

"He was actually very gentle," Shizune said with a blush, "It was a little painful at first, which was to be expected of course. It was my first time,"

Rin remained silent while reading the latest text Hidan had sent her. He wanted to spend an entire weekend with her. She refused to answer him.

"So you two are a couple now?" Kurenai asked, to which Shizune replied with a wide smile.

"Yeah," she giggled, her face blushing, "He agreed with us seeing each other every day,"

"You two hit it off pretty fast," Anko said.

"I know, it feels rushed," Shizune agreed, "But I know in my heart that he's the one! He's just so amazing!"

Rin and Anko looked at each other as Kurenai said nothing and took a sip of her tea. Their reactions made Shizune suspicious, and she narrowed her eyes a bit.

"Is there something going on? You guys don't like him or something?" she glanced at each of them before seeing how Rin was staring hard at her phone. "Rin, is there something going on?"

Her friend rubbed her face tiredly before replying. "Shizune, I'm really happy for you…trust me. But, I want to show you something that I think you should be aware of. Now, before I do show you, I want you to know that I have no feelings for him and I am not trying to hurt you,"

Shizune's head tilted a bit in confusion, "Rin, you're not really making any sense. What's going on?"

"Hidan has been texting me nearly every week something…perverted. He has been doing this since I first met him months ago. I thought he would have stopped considering you and him are now dating, but he texted me throughout the day today," Rin gulped as she saw Shizune's smile drop. She turned her phone to her while continuing, "I know this sounds weird and you don't want to believe it, but here's the text he's been sending me. You can scroll up to see how he's been doing this for a while now,"

The trio watched silently as Shizune took a moment to look through the text. Their friend said nothing, her elbow leaning on the table with her hand by her lips as she looked through each text. Finally, Shizune leaned back and shook her head before giving Rin an incredulous look.

"Are you trying to take revenge on me just because I was the one who told you that Ebisu was a cheating bastard and you didn't listen to me at first?"

Kurenai and Anko were taken aback as Rin gasped, "What?! No! Shizune, of course not! This has nothing to do with Ebisu! I am telling you this because you're my friend and I don't want to see you get hurt!"

Shizune stood up from her chair angrily, "Well, too late now Rin! Why would you show me this? And how do I know it's real? How do I know it's not you trying to get in between us? What, is Obito not good enough for you now?"

Rin glared back at her friend, "I'm telling you this because he's a creep and has been flirting with me since day one! And this has nothing to do with Obito so keep his name out of your mouth!"

"Well, I didn't see where you told him to stop," Shizune spat back, "Which means that you like the attention. You like those texts. Obito's not enough so now you want my boyfriend too!?"

"I don't want that fucking creep!" Rin yelled, "I told you this so you knew what type of person he is! The last thing I want is you getting cheated on and having your heart broken!"

"And why should I take advice from someone who let some man practically control her life!?"

Rin was about to say something back, but Kurenai jumped in. "Alright, enough! Shizune, those texts are from Hidan and they are concerning. We don't want to take your happiness away, but we also don't want you getting involved with someone who won't love you sincerely,"

Shizune shook her head, "I'm going to talk to Hidan because I know those texts aren't real,"

"They are real," Rin groaned, rolling her eyes.

"Oh, and you are?" Shizune spat back, and Rin's eyes widened.

"Fuck this," Rin said while storming into her room and slamming the door, "Go ahead and be with that creep then!"

"Bitch," Shizune muttered underneath her breath, storming into her own room and slamming the door shut too.

Anko and Kurenai looked at each other and sighed sadly. The semester was a quarter away from finishing and there was already drama in their apartment.

The next week brought more awkward tension in the girls' apartment. As Anko and Kurenai tried to make things as less awkward as possible, Rin and Shizune avoided each other. No words were said between the two of them. Shizune, according to Kurenai, spent most of her evenings with Hidan. And she had even confronted Hidan about the texts, and the man had laughed while calling Rin a jealous liar. Kurenai and Anko told this information to Rin, who said that she no longer cared and preferred to finish the semester with good grades.

But in reality, she was very upset. She always considered Shizune as a sister. Shizune had warned her about Ebisu, and Rin being stupidly in love was blind until the day Ebisu tried to take advantage of her. Afterward, Rin had apologized profusely to her friend for not listening to her. And since then, the two had been closer. Shizune helped her improve her self-confidence, which made Rin appreciate Shizune tremendously.

Until last week, of course. As angry as Rin was, she was also upset. She hoped that Shizune would've been reasonable and understood that Rin wasn't trying to hurt her. All Rin wanted to do was warn her about Hidan, the same way she had warned her about Ebisu years ago.

But the friendship, the sisterhood, was fractured and Rin wasn't sure when it would be fixed. Or even if it would. Shizune would mostly be on the phone with Hidan, giggling and flirting. And as for Hidan, the creep didn't text her at all. Which was good. Yet, it also justified her worries that he wasn't a good fit for Shizune. Despite their verbal fight, Rin still believed in her heart that Shizune could do better and deserved better.

"Let her be," Kurenai had told her some time throughout the week, "Let her find out for herself who Hidan really is,"

With Kurenai's advice in mind, Rin tried her best not to let the drama get to her. As the semester was gearing towards the end, she put her focus on ending it with good grades (especially statistics). Hanging out with Obito helped her not dwell so much on her fight with Shizune. In the middle of the week, he took her out to a very romantic restaurant. It was becoming more apparent to her that Obito's feelings for her were very genuine.

They talked more about themselves. She learned that he lived with his uncle and like every Uchiha, was associated with the family business. His parents had passed away when he was very young, but he kept a picture of them in his room. The conversation shifted to her family, and she spoke about her parents. She had been nervous telling him this initially, but trusted her intuition that Obito wouldn't discriminate. She told him about having two fathers; how they had adopted her when she was very young. Growing up, her fathers did everything they could to ensure she had a normal life despite the discrimination they faced as two gay men raising a young girl. Obito held her hand over the table as she recounted some of her childhood stories.

"I remember when I got my first period," she had said, and Obito raised an eyebrow while rubbing his thumb over her knuckles, "One of my dads already had pads in our bathroom. He said he wanted to be prepared for this moment. My other dad told me what to do…how to put the pad on. Apparently, he watched some YouTube videos about it,"

Obito chuckled, and Rin laughed as well. "Sounds like they were prepared the moment they adopted you,"

She nodded with a smile, "Pretty much. They gave me a great childhood, and I'm glad I was adopted by them,"

"Did anyone give you a hard time because they were gay?"

She nodded sadly, "Oh yeah. Especially in high school when they came to parent-teacher night and others found out. I was asked so many inappropriate questions, and I even lost a couple of friends because their parents didn't want their kids getting exposed to homosexuality,"

"Interesting considering gay marriage is legal and more people are marrying those from the same sex. At some point, everyone's going to be exposed,"

"Exactly," Rin said, glad to know that Obito held no prejudice towards her fathers. If anything, he looked forward to meeting the two men who adopted her.

After dinner, Obito dropped her off at her apartment and gave her a kiss on her cheek. The moment nearly had her fainting, and she blushed all over as he had pulled back and smiled at her.

The kiss on the cheek was a game-changer for the two - their interactions becoming more flirtatious. At night he would text her goodnight with a heart, and she replied by sending him several selfies. One selfie, in particular, showed a bit more cleavage. She had done it on purpose, daring herself to see what he would say. And he responded with two large eye emojis and asked her if she could show him more next time he saw her. Her response was a winking emoji.

The week came to an end with Yahiko hosting a party at the house. Obito invited her over, to which she gladly accepted. Something told her that tonight would be the night where either she or Obito would be honest about their feelings. The kiss on the cheek, flirty texts, hugs, hand-holding… Rin felt like tonight would be the night where something was going to happen. So she wore a nice pair of blue jeans with a purple long-sleeve crop top. She painted her lips a nice shade of pink and put on some mascara to make her brown eyes shine even more.

After she was done preparing, she took the bus to the house and reached Obito's house nearly an hour later. Standing outside, she knocked on the door and smiled as Deidara opened it.

"Hey, Rin! Come on in!"

"Hey," she said, walking inside. There was food and alcohol all over, and she heard loud chatter in the backyard.

"Everyone's outside," he said, and Rin followed.

"Is Obito outside?"

"Yeah,"

Once she reached the backyard, she immediately saw Hidan and Shizune and decided not to pay them any attention. She refused to have this night ruined by either one of them.

Konan and Yahiko greeted her, and Rin decided to have a conversation with them. Konan already had a full-time offer post-graduation from a large manufacturing company, and Rin congratulated her. Yahiko was able to get an internship for the next semester. As Rin started talking about her post-college plans, she felt arms wrap around her waist before her body was lifted about a foot off the ground. She quickly realized who it was and giggled as he continued carrying her.

"Obito," she said while laughing, "Put me down! My shoe's about to fall off,"

He put her down and she turned around, poking him in his chest with a smile. "You could've dropped me,"

"I'm not going to drop you," he said to her, his eyes roaming down her body while noticing her exposed midriff. "You look beautiful, as usual,"

"Thank you," she said with a blush.

"Game time!" yelled Deidara, "Everyone, gather around!"

The group walked towards the center. Rin and Shizune glanced at each other briefly, and Rin offered her a small smile. She hoped for a smile back but frowned when Shizune simply looked away. Rin figured that it would take longer for them to be friends again.

"What's the game?" Kisame asked, taking a sip of his beer.

"Truth or dare,"

"Sounds childish,"

"Sounds like we're going to learn some people's dirty secrets," murmured Sasori.

"Wait, someone else is joining!" Hidan said, rushing inside the house. Shizune followed him, a wide smile on her face.

Rin wondered who the newcomer was, and a few seconds later a beautiful blond woman appeared. She wore a tied mini dress, one that showed her curves.

"Yugito?" Konan asked surprisingly, and the woman walked over to her with a smile.

"Hey, Konan! Long time no see," The women hugged briefly. "Hidan invited me,"

"Oh?" Konan said, looking at Hidan with a raised eyebrow.

Yugito then looked at Obito, who looked at her with a surprised facial expression.

"Hey, Obito. It's been a while,"

"Yeah," he said confusingly, looking at Hidan as well.

Rin felt a sense of deja vu as if she heard the name before. She tried to remember where she heard the name before. And it wasn't until Hidan opened his mouth that she suddenly realized who Yugito was.

"It's like you're back home, Yugito! Obito probably hasn't changed his bedsheets since the last time you two fucked!"

Rin frowned. Yugito was Obito's ex-girlfriend from five months ago.
