Meanwhile, Incineroar was keeping close to the young warrior as they wandered down one of the many streets of the port town.

Young Link flashed him a reassuring smile. "See, you scaredy cat? It's safe here. There's no need to be afraid."

The fire type looked around and slowly nodded, then looked down at the child that was walking beside him and hugged the human tightly.

The Hero of Time's heart warmed at this. "What do you say we get something to eat? Maybe a nice piece of meat will help you get your spirits up?"

Incineroar nodded eagerly in anticipation of eating something. When was the last time he had eaten? The fire type found that he couldn't remember.

The Hylian patted the Pokemon in the back. "That settles it. Breakfast it is!"

As they looked for a good place to eat, Young Link saw a familiar figure in the distance "Is that... Isabelle? What would she be doing around here?"

Incineroar sensed something was off immediately. Isabelle wasn't a dark type, she was more… Normal.

Not this time, as the fire-dark type could sense the familiar dark energies surrounding Isabelle.

The Pokémon bared his teeth and growled as he stepped in front of the young human, glaring down the street at the small dog as his tail lashed back and forth in wariness.

Young Link became concerned. "Hm? What's wrong, Incin? That's just our friend, Isabelle. Don't you remember her?"

Incin continued to glare at Isabelle. "In." (what have you done to the friendly dog woman)." Even in this dark type state, he knew Isabelle could understand him.

While he couldn't understand what was going on, Young Link could see that Incineroar was troubled by Isabelle's presence. It could just be his paranoia acting up, but it's better be safe than sorry. Young Link had his hand ready to pull out his sword at a moment's notice and kept his eyes focused on any false movements by the secretary. The Hylian had learned many things in his adventures on Hyrule and Termina, and one of them was to trust a friend's instincts.

"Is anything the matter, Link? You seem troubled." asked Isabelle with a soft voice and a worried expression. It was almost enough to calm him down. No. There was something about her... He couldn't tell what. He looked more closely. It was her...eyes that didn't quite fit. They were empty. They brought memories of poor Skull Kid and his horrible experiences with that accursed mask.

Incin growled even louder and stepped in front of the child. "Incin. (I see you are ignoring me. If you harm him, you shall pay dearly.)"

"I see it now too." the Hylian whispered to his companion. "Once I give the signal, you rush her and try to knock her out. In the meantime, stay here."

Incin nodded, not taking his gaze off of Isabelle. He felt calm - being told what to do in battle was familiar to him.

"It's nothing. Incineroar here just had a bad experience yesterday and I've been trying to help him recover," said Young Link as he casually approached the Shiba Inu with a welcoming smile and his hands on his pockets while Incineroar stayed behind.

"That's terrible! Any way that I can help?" asked Isabelle with a worried expression.

"No need. I've got this handled." Young Link was now a couple of feet away from the secretary. Suddenly and without warning, he pulled out a Deku Nut from one of his pockets and threw it as hard as he could against the ground. A flash of light blinded Isabelle and made her spin around, trying to find her balance. "Now, Incineroar!" exclaimed Young Link, as he jumped back to observe.

Incineroar nodded and used Darkest Lariat against Isabelle, becoming an unstoppable spinning force of fire and dark energy.

The Pokemon hit the secretary with tremendous force, sending her flying and burning her. She landed on the ground without much noise. The Hero of Time could tell that it wasn't over, and that she may try to still pretend to be herself. "Keep it up, Incineroar! Don't let her get back up!" he ordered, as he dashed towards her, with his boomerang at the ready.

Incin visibly hesitated, then nodded again, using Cross Chop this time on Isabelle as he got near the canine secretary.

This time, however, Isabelle was prepared: she rolled out of the way and got back up, leaving the Pokemon staggering as he hit the ground where she used to be. With inhuman speed, she pulled out several stone blocks out of thin air and threw them at the unexpected Pokemon, one after the other, until she was stopped by the Hylian's boomerang. This left Incineroar stunned on the floor as the boomerang promptly flew back to its owner's hands.

Seeing as the dark-type wouldn't be a problem for a while, she focused her attention on to Young Link, as he shot fire arrows one after another in quick succesion, hoping to hold her back. She dodged, using her small body to her advantage, while slowly approaching.

Not wanting to run out of arrows, the Hylian used his boomerang again. This time, however, his opponent was expecting it. Just as it was about to hit him, she pulled out her hand and it disappeared.

Without losing his composure, Young Link decided to try another strategy. Putting his bow away, he pulled out his trusty Kokiri Sword and Deku Shield. With the constant onslaught of arrows finally over, Isabelle ran towards the hero unopposed as fast as she could, pulling out another stone block and threw it at him.

Busy blocking the projectile with his shield, he couldn't see what she did next. Looking forward, she was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly, he felt a weight land on him as Isabelle fell from the sky. Surprised, he fell over backwards as Isabelle lay on top of him. She began pummeling him over and over with inhuman speed and strength.

Incin slowly returned to his senses, although his senses were dimmed and his entire body felt extremely sore. He found that he was too tired to move, so he lay where he was.

Meanwhile, Young Link tried to fight back against the onset of attacks, to no avail. The strength with which she'd pinned him down was too great and the constant and increasing dullness in his body as she beat him over and over again didn't let him think straight.

The Pokémon knew something was happening, something he should be preventing, yet he was too tired to focus on anything. Incin tried to rise but a wave of dizziness made him stay down.

Feeling himself losing consciousness, Young Link considered what may happen. Thinking through his options, he realized what he couldn't let happen. The Ocarina! I can't let it fall into the enemy's hands!

Using the last of his strength, he drew into his pocket and drew the item in question and tossed it to where he knew his last ally was, promptly passing out afterwards.

Incin felt something hit him in the chest. He blindly felt for it, still trying to wake up.

The object was small, it was made of some of material that caused his claws to make noises as if he was touching glass, it was cold, and it had several holes.

Incin opened his eyes and centered his gaze on the object, which he found to be a blue color. There was something familiar about it…

He then realized what it was. That… what was the name… That didn't matter right now.

Incin's gaze then fell on the unconscious child lying some feet away, Isabelle standing over the boy's beaten and battered form.

The cat got angry then, and felt flames rising up his throat as he gathered himself and slowly stood, rage overtaking Incin as he scooped up the cold object and glared at the possessed dog secretary.

Without paying attention to him, Isabelle proceeded to lift her right hand forward... and the Hero of Time's unconscious body shrunk and eventually disappeared, much to Incineroar's horror and dismay.

She then turned around to face the Pokemon, radiating a calm and peaceful aura, as if the enemy in front of her were no more threatening than a mewling kitten.

Incin's anger vanished immediately. To think that what Isabelle did was possible, was that what also happened to the block man?

The fire cat lashed his tail back and forth as he eyed the dog nervously.

The secretary walked slowly forward. Although her footsteps barely made a sound, the Pokemon could swear he could hear them in his mind. She stopped a few feet in front of him and looked him in the eye.

Incin took a few steps back, feeling the fur on his body start to rise as he held the object in his hand close to his chest. He continued to eye Isabelle as he growled nervously.

Isabelle moved a single step forward and continued to look into Incineroar's eyes uninterruptedly.

Incin continued to step backward, not wanting to take his gaze of off Isabelle as he felt fear begin to creep into his mind. His fur rose completely (he looked like a fluffy ball almost) and his tail started to lash about and his eyes changed shape from slits to round circles as his breathing became haggard. "In. (Go away go away go away - )"

Isabelle just stood there, not moving an inch, her eyes wide open and unwavering. Incineroar felt her gaze burn deep into his mind. From them he could see a familiar image, one he hoped he'd never witness again.

A small helpless kitten, surviving day to day on just mere scraps of food and too weak to defend for itself. Covered in scars and with visible bones, the kitten was considered a runt and was outcast by not only the humans, but the Pokémon as well -

Incineroar roared and lunged at Isabelle, clearly intent on harming or killing her.

He just wanted the fear and terror he was feeling to go away.

Without any hesitation, she jumped to match the height of the Pokemon and kicked him straight in the face, sending him reeling backwards. She then landed on the same spot she was standing before, barely making a sound.

Incin screeched in pain as he clutched at his face with his free hand and he gazed at Isabelle through his clawed fingers.

He needed to leave. Now.

The cat continued to retreat as he felt blood begin to course down his face from his injured nose.
