A couple days had passed, and Elysia continued to practice magic secretly under the cover of the night sky. During the day she spent time with Bonnie and Caroline, the three growing ever closer.

Caroline had officially made her list. She would do her best to keep the sweet girl protected, even if that meant protecting her from herself and those closest to her.

On another note, Elysia had recently begun to think about the future. She knew she'd said plans often went bad the second they were put in motion, but she also thought it was just as stupid to not have even a bit of planning. That being the case, she thought it for the best that she took her next plan of action.

First, she learned the spell for binding an object to a person alone, and cloaking it for their eyes only. Then she went online and with the money she had saved from her father, bought two nice looking leather journals.

The first was black, and just for fun she drew the Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter across the front left corner. She had always loved drawing. It was one of her favorite hobbies, and she decided to continue it even in this life.

This one would be her Grimoire. She knew all the best witches had one, and she'd always just loved the idea of it, having all her spells in one place for easy access. She was very much going for the witchy aesthetic.

The next one was brown. This one she decided to draw a rendition of the Tree of Life in that same left corner. She felt it fitting for some reason. This journal would be just as important as the first, since she would be writing down everything she remembered from the shows she had watched. It would be separated into several parts. One for TVD plot, another for TO, the next what she knew of Legacies. She wasn't sure if she would need or even use this information, but she figured it was a great 'just in case' type of thing.

There were a further three sections, these ones much more hesitant and uncertain. They were titled, Things to Change, People to Save, and People to Kill.

Yeah. Very much not sure. It was more of a 'well if I have the opportunity, I'll take it.'

Still, Elysia wasn't just going to do nothing. She wasn't narcissistic enough to think her being here was nothing more than an accident. She wasn't even going to try that, 'Oh, well I must've been put here for a reason,' bullshit. Still, she had the knowledge. For the the most part, she also had the means. That being so, she was going to try her best to help those who deserved it.

Example A: Lorenzo St. John. His case was a pretty horrible one. Locked up and tortured for years and years, left by his best friend to die. Then finding true love only to later die for no reason. Like, his death did nothing for anyone. All it did was leave Bonnie devastated.

So yeah, she was going to try and change that.

Elysia bound the first journal to both her blood and magic, and to open only with the Latin phrase, 'Alea iacta est.' To open it she only needed the magic and phrase. The blood would be optional. For her, at least. Then she cloaked it for her eyes only. She might change that later on to include Bonnie, but for now it was just hers.

For the second journal, with all that knowledge? She did the exact same thing but with the phrase, 'Respice finem.' This one she would need to go through all three security measures, and she would keep it better hidden. She didn't need anyone finding it. Especially not the many heretics who would later show up. They could absorb her magic and render it all useless.

She was very jealous she wasn't born a siphon. It had always been her favorite species from the show. Mostly when they were later turned and able to use their curse as an almost endless supply of magic. Really, they got the best of both worlds.

Putting the two journals away, she pondered on what to do next. Then it came to her. The ultimate cliché in TVDU fanfiction, but one that almost always brought profit: selling daylight rings to vampires.

Hey, whatever works right?

Elysia wasn't sure if the show managed to capture just how much most witches seemed to hate vampires. The only witch she had been around so far was her Grams. Still, the topic of vampires had come up once or twice due to both her mother's decision and because of the Mystic Falls council who had business with her sometimes.

She had been around once when the topic came up, and it was just.. She had been pretending to be asleep when a council member dropped by. She wasn't completely sure what it was about, but she did hear the word vampire.

Her Grams' magic had seemed to flare, and it was so filled with hate. She could feel it. It was a dark, slimy feeling, and she didn't like it.

For one, she just didn't agree with the popular witch opinion that vampires were an abomination and an affront to nature. Did they really think Mother Nature would let something she agreed with exist? Absolutely not. If she didn't want something to be there, it just wouldn't. Period.

For another, they had already been on Earth over a thousand years. They had long since been a part of the food chain. It was too late to to try and take them out. As bad as it seemed, they kept overpopulation from happening too badly. Human blood was food to them, just as animals were food to humans.

It may be gross, but that was just the natural cycle of life. For Elysia, she didn't particularly care who vampires went after as long as it wasn't anyone she cared for. The only other time she would mind is if a vampire killed a child. If she saw that happening in front of her.. yeah. It wouldn't go well for the vampire.

She truly believed that any vampire that killed a child was either too consumed by bloodlust, had their humanity turned off, or was just cruel. For one, they just didn't have as much blood as an adult. They wouldn't even be worth draining, as horrible as that sounds.

For another.. what was the point? It just really seemed useless to her. She knew kids could be cruel. And yes, at a certain point they were mature enough to understand their wrongs and that actions had consequences. Still, she just didn't like it. She could like past almost anything else, but this was her limit, and she planned to stick with it.

Heaving a large sigh at all that heavy thinking, Elysia got to work creating a post on Craigslist to attract a certain vampires attention. She had always liked Slater. He just seemed like a pretty decent person. She hoped they could have a beneficial relationship. She knew he was an old vampire and probably had several connections. Who knows, if it went well maybe she could try and save him from Elijah.

The Sun keeping you up all night? Have a thirst that's troublesome to deal with? Maybe I can help...
