Chapter 20: Bonds of a Brother and Sister P1

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or Avatar the Last Air Bender, or Hades whom is Disney's version of him. I do own Kasumi along with most of her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters and the four Titan Cards.

A/N: This chapter has three POV, that'll alternate. Kasumi's of course, Hades once, and Naruto's. Plus I'd like to thank Charrin for making a nice Commission picture for me based on what happens to Kasumi In this chapter. If you want to see the picture here is the link hopefully it works.

Things seemed to have been getting better and better. Not too long, what appeared to have been seconds ago, Haku was able to defeat Chagursa and earn his Titan Card, now Hades the Lord of the Dead appeared. No one could be sure what he had in mind, but we all knew it couldn't be good. To make matters worse, Hades was actually smiling. That's right smiling! You'd think that he'd be steaming mad from losing two of the five Titan Cards that he stole and gave to his individuals, but he was smiling plus his blue flame like hair wasn't well red. This meant only one thing and I knew it, he was trying to play it cool. This God wasn't one to meet and get angry, well which God wouldn't you want to get angry? Well the two top answers were Zeus in my opinion then his wife Hera, then came Hades in third.

I watched as Hades takes a step forward towards us. He extended his hands towards us even making a hand sign for time out "Whoa, whoa, whoa time out, I seem to have appeared in a not so easy confrontation. My bad, didn't mean to scare any of you."

He strolls over to Haku as he makes his way towards me "Good job in earning your Titan Card by the way. Full points for the come back on how you were able to defeat her in that one last risky play."

Haku wanted to retaliate but he was too weak from his Duel with Chagursa. I was thinking Hades might've been after Aang but as he makes his way towards me, it suddenly dawns on me, he was after me. I have never been one to show fear except for the time I was kidnapped by Orochimaru's men when I first turned ten, but understandably, this would be the first time I was fearful. I knew all too well that Hades had something evil in mind and it concerned me in his plans, otherwise, I don't think he'd come to chat in a friendly manner trying to deceive us and easily capture me. Takara was growling at him trying to intimidate him. I had to admit Takara was showing more bravery than I was at the moment but this was the type of bravery that could easily get Hades steamed up.

Hades looks at Takara not even intimidated by her growling "Oh, what are you getting all steamed up about you little fox?"

He takes a step closer and I take a step back. Takara lunges at him in an attempt to protect me coming at him with a fast pace. Hades somehow expected this and timed it right, then slapped my pet Vulpix across her head.

"Takara!" I called out as she went flying and almost crashing into a wall. Luckily Naruto had some sixth sense and managed to catch Takara in mid air before she could crash into the wall but I knew that when he landed on the ground with her in his hands that she had been knocked out.

"Takara would've not normally do that" Sokka told us.

I nodded "Yes, she wouldn't have..."

Naruto got up handing Takara to Aang as if he sensed what was going to happen "No way, Hades..."

Hades stops as Naruto eyes him "If you think I'm going to let you even a God kidnap my little sister, then you have another thing coming to you. Hands off my sister!"

Hades turned to Naruto "Oh? And what do you? The little Nine Tailed Fox boy going to do about it?"

Naruto draws a Kunai "I'll show you!"

Sokka however unlike Naruto was actually a bit smarter on the battlefield than Naruto "Wait Naruto! You need a plan!"

Naruto ignored him "Sorry Sokka, but this jerk of a God is going to try to kidnap my little sister! And seeing her scared like this is something I don't like seeing!"

He charges Hades "And I'm not going to let that happen! I don't care if he is a God! I'll teach him a lesson he won't forget."

Even I tried to hold Naruto back but was too slow to even Earth Bend a wall to stop him from charging in. Naruto passes me and he comes at Hades. Hades dodges the Kunai stab then manages to punch Naruto back a bit "Getting a bit too aggressive are we? Well if that's how you want to play...Then I'll-" the God pauses before erupting in red, orange like flames "BE HAPPY TO REPLY BACK!"

Naruto took the full force of the blow as he was unprepared for the God's rage and neither were, Aang, Haku, Hanabi, Sokka, Katara. Which forced them all backwards laying horribly injured. Naruto on the other hand wasn't ready to go down. It was like all his fights, you could knock him down but he'd always get back up. Naruto gets back up forming a hand seal "I won't let you kidnap my sister without a fight! Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Naruto is able to create thousands of his Shadow Clones and order them to attack Hades. Hades keeps his ground and easily burns the Clones all down with intense flames. Naruto takes the time for the last Shadow Clone to help him as he advances on Hades "Not too shabby, Blue Flame! But take this Rasengan!"

Hades simply caught the Rasengan in his hands and then the weirdest thing happened, the God was somehow able to redirect the Rasengan's energy back towards Naruto only in a more fiery version. Naruto is blown backwards and on his back burnt all over. For a while Naruto seemed to stop moving. I tried to rush over to him but it is then I realized Hades had somehow thrown some sort of ball underneath my feet in the scuffle with my brother. I only had time to look down before the ball exploded in form of a small gas around me. Only then I realized as I was getting tired that it was knock out gas "No...Way."

I then fell to the ground and quickly flicked my headband off into the air all when Naruto sees this what is happening to me before blacking out "KASUMI!"

Naruto's POV

Things had certainly gotten out of hand the moment Hades managed to redirect the Rasengan's energy to me. As I'm laying on the ground I am still able to see what happened to my little sister well, the smoke ball go off around her. I then saw her drop down I didn't know if the smoke had killed her or just knocked her out. She isn't moving one bit as Hades advances on her. It was then I knew that the smoke was meant to knock her out. I gathered up the strength in my arms and legs to get onto all fours "KASUMI!"

Hades now has her in his hands holding her in a hostage position "I claim my prize now Fox boy. But don't worry, when she's done serving me, you can have her back!"

I managed to get onto my two feet again as I charge in. This Greek God sees me coming at him and he manages to lift up a hidden weight bar underneath then explode in anger yet again "OF COURSE YOU MIGHT NOT WANT HER BACK"

Normally I could've dodged this weight bar but Hades erupted into so much anger that the speed of the bar was too fast for me to see slamming into me and forces me towards the wall crashing and pinning me to it. I tried to get the heavy weight bar off me but it was very heavy, I mean you'd have to have super human strength to lift it. It was at this time, Hades vanishes with Kasumi in his hands and I shout "Kasumi...NOOOOOOOOOOO!"

I still tried to get the heavy weight bar off me but to no avail. It is then Kakashi-Sensei and Iruka-Sensei arrive and see everyone injured. Kakashi-Sensei and Iruka-Sensei see me struggling to get the bar off me, then rush to help me. It took the three of us maybe an hour to get it off me.

Once off I slammed my fist into the ground angrily "Hades, captured my sister. I failed to protect her from him."

Iruka-Sensei pats me on the back trying to comfort me "At least you tried. Kakashi and I will try to look for her to where he could've taken her but right now we've got to get everyone out of here."

I wanted to go after Hades to save Kasumi myself now but Iruka-Sensei had a point as well, I looked around, everyone was injured, even Aang. I caught sight of Kakashi-sensei picking up something, my sister's headband, Kakashi-sensei turned over to me nodding and I saw him try a small smile as he was thinking something that my sister had done was a good idea in the situation. I got up and tried to help the others out. While doing so, I was thinking of saving my sister and hoping she'd be safe.

Hades's POV

I was returning to the Underworld with my prize, Kasumi Aki Fudo. At the moment the Signer was knocked out still and I was carrying her over my shoulder. Normally I wouldn't be one to kidnap anyone, not even Wonderboy, however the capture of the young Signer girl was something that had to be done. Yes, I may have lost two Titan Cards to them but I had their precious Signer whom had Boltose, the strongest of the Titan Cards. Sure she was on the heroes's side and she might reject me but I could use her as a hostage if I wanted to, but I didn't want to. I was determined to make her work for me. You know what you humans say, If you can't beat them...Join them, well in my case, if you can't beat them...Force them to work for you. I was now out of my boat I took up the river in the Underworld, once again threw a piece of meat to Ceberus the three Headed dog and was home.

"PAIN!" I shouted.

A small red demon came running down the stairs towards me "Coming!"

As always he trips and falls onto the stairs bouncing off and onto a pitch fork "YEOW!"

"PANIC!" I shouted.

Panic a smaller blue demon runs down speedily "Coming!"

He runs down until Pain was able to get off of the fork, the two collide and they land right at our feet with Panic slamming head first into Pain's but "YEOW!"

I didn't look amused at this, it seemed to have been their ritual to do this whenever I called them.

"Pain! Ohhh..." Pain saluted me then turned to reveal Panic

"And Panic!" Panic told me.

Then both shouted "Reporting for Duty!"

"Boys," I told them smiling and showing them Kasumi "I've got her."

"So this is the Signer, those Fire Nation soldiers and Orochimaru want?" Pain asked "All that fuse for this mortal girl?"

"Yeah, I was thinking she'd be well almost like Hercules, you know, Demi-God" Panic admitted.

I began walking upstairs "Now that I have her, she'll work for us."

"But how?" Pain asked me.

I grinned as I sat her down on her legs spread out with her arms behind her back "I have the perfect solution boys. Just by being in the Underworld will force her to quickly change and work for us. I'll get things ready, but in the meantime, you two must watch over her, tie her up, and gag her. I don't want to lose this one."

"Yes, sir!" Pain and Panic shouted saluting me "We'll get onto it right away sir!"

"Just let me know the moment she wakes up." I told them stepping away to prepare, after all I wanted the Signer to be awake so I could explain things to her.

Naruto's POV

We were able to get everyone back to the camp. There everyone was recovering from their injuries. Katara was helping to heal Haku whom was also devastated as much as I was. Haku eyes me with sorrow in his eyes that we failed to protect Kasumi. I was hurting most of all, Kasumi was always there for the Leaf Village no matter what happened, now she was Hades's captive. No telling what he was going to do with her. Finally Haku turns to me "Sorry for not stepping up."

"You couldn't even if you could" Katara told him "We were up against a God. We're really lucky he didn't kill us all."

Haku sighed "I still should've done something than just stand there. Perhaps if I could've Water Bended I could've bought us more time to get away."

Toph "Perhaps that's true but, sadly the results might've been the same."

Even Aang agreed "Even if we wanted to, none of us would've been able to match Hades, the only one that could...Would've been Zeus."

"Why didn't Lady Kasumi summon him?" Sokka asked "If she did, Hades wouldn't have kidnapped her."

"She was scared" Hanabi said for my sister's defense "Which is understandable. It's not any day where you are able to Summon Zeus and then get the privilege to meet his brother Hades."

"Aren't Ninja not supposed to let their emotions take them?" Sokka asked.

"Most of the time yes" Kakashi answered "But as Hanabi said, it's not any day you get to meet a God whose goal it is to capture you. She probably knew he was coming for her and that's what scared her inside and out. She probably was still trying to think of what to do in that situation. Fear does tend to over take your emotions if you are unprepared for the unexpected."

I stood up "I don't care where he's taken her! I won't let her down further! I'll rescue her even if it costs me my life believe it!"

"Did you hit your head on something when Hades defeated you?" Toph asked me causing me to look at her agitated a bit "Hades would certainly be able to kill you and Kasumi could be his captive forever if you do that."

"How do we move on without her?" Sokka asked.

I gave him a look surprised he'd suggest that "You all can move on, but I intend to save her."

"Naruto?" everyone but Hanabi and Haku said.

I stood up looking up at the bright moon "Hades may have defeated me with ease...But I will save my sister no matter what happens. She must be worried scared for what Hades plans for her are. I'll go find her and rescue her. You all can stay behind."

"Naruto" Iruka warned me "We are to protect Aang."

"Yes, that was the mission" I told him "But saving Kasumi is more important. Think of what Hades could do to her and think of what he'd ask her to do if he ever can control her."

"Which" Hanabi admitted "Sense he is a God, he can most certainly do."

I saw Kakashi try to frown "Naruto...Calm down. If you can't calm down or follow threw with the current mission, I'll have to ask you to go back to the village."

Everyone was silent, even Aang that was for a while "Wow...Kakashi that was strict."

I sighed with Hanabi looking concerned for Kasumi as well as she pets Takara whom was still knocked out "Aang is she okay?"

Aang looks over the Vulpix then after an expert look spoke "She should be okay, nothing too dangerous."

I gave out a sigh hoping Kakashi would've understood. Wait, he did understand, maybe that's why he was trying to frown and acting tough.

Kasumi's POV

I was slowly coming around. My body was aching a bit all over. I tried to move my arms but found out that they were tied behind my back with some sort of gold invisible rope. My legs were the same only spaced out a bit and my stomach was showing slightly. I tried to speak but found out duck tape was all over my mouth "Mpph!" was all I could get out as I looked around. There was no doubt about it, I was a prisoner in Hades's Underworld. Once again I was in fear, fearful of what Hades was going to do with me.

"Oh Panic!" a voice called out "She's awake."

I turned my head slightly to see a small fat demon whom was talking to a smaller blue thin one "So she is! Hey boss! The captive is awake."

"About time she woke" Hades said as he steps down towards me.

My eyes narrowed with worry seeing him come down towards me. Tied up, I couldn't Earth Bend properly. I tried to wiggle free but the thing that they tied me with kept.

"Now, now" Hades told me "Welcome to the Underworld, your new home. I sure hope you like it because you'll never leave. At least not so soon."

I was now worried very worried as he places a hand "You see my dear, you've really been a goodie two shoes resisting those that want to help you."

Help me? I thought Yeah right, you mean use me!

Hades continues on "I know my brother has told you about the Titan Cards that how he put it stole from him? Well he's partly right and partly wrong. Anyway you have the strongest Titan Card, which made you my key target. Now you are going to be working for me now."

Yeah right! I thought as I continued to try to struggle and break free The only thing keeping me here is this rope.

He smiled at me "Think like that all you want. No one's going to come to help save you. You are in my home now, to do with as I please. Now look at me."

I was too scared to even think of disobeying him at the moment that I actually did obey him.

"Good girl" Hades told me he held up an hour glass "While you were sleeping, I managed to take some of your Chakra and infuse it within the sand of this hour glass. Doing this has insured me that you will become my faithful servant and become my willing subordinate."

I gulped this didn't sound good.

He continues "You do however have time before you become shall we say evil. If you remain here within twenty-four hours...You will be forever mine and will work for me your entire life. Well at least until I can conquer Mount Olympias using you."

I narrowed my eyes angrily this time, despite this I knew my time was short lived...However if someone could destroy the hour glass or rescue me in time...I'd still be living in Konoha. I lowered my head as Hades laughs evilly "See? It's already working."

He now sets the hour glass up and the sand inside it began to fall "Your last twenty-four hours of being good begins now."

I could only watch as the sand begins to spill downward hoping for anyone to rescue me. The only one that I knew that might be would be Naruto...Oh boy, talk about holding your life on someone whom is afraid of ghosts...The Underworld is full of them..."

I gave out an almost defeated sigh knowing this could be the last twenty-four hours before I became evil, and I didn't want to become evil.

Naruto's POV

It was getting nightfall. Everyone is sleeping, everyone but me. I sit upward, this was my chance to try to find my sister and save her. Deep down I had a feeling Hades was going threw with his evil plan to turn my sister. I had to act now. Haku I knew would've followed me but he was too injured. I then get up and begin to leave telling telling Iruka-Sensei whom was keeping guard that I was going to relieve him. He nods telling me how sorry he was and was hoping for the best. Once he left and was out of eye sight, I took the time to leave the camp. Unaware that Hanabi was watching the whole entire time. That was until I heard her footsteps behind me in the trees. I turned to see her "Hanabi?"

She looks at me with worried eyes "Yes, it's me."

"You should be back with Aang" I told her.

She shook her head "You are going to rescue Kasumi...Aren't you?"

I paused looking at her as we jumped to another branch "Yes...Why do you ask?"

"If you are going" Hanabi told me "I'm going too...Lady Kasumi's more than just your sister and my teammate, she's my best friend. Plus my Clan owes her for saving us countlessly. This is one of the times I feel like paying her back for that."

"Hanabi..." I said then I smiled "Thank you."

Hanabi smiled at me as well winking "Besides you can't do this all alone. You could use my eyes."

I smirked feeling proud of my Dueling rival "Right! Let's go together Hanabi!"

We continued downward until we both stopped to a cliff where Kakashi had been following us the whole time.

"Kakashi-Sensei?" Hanabi and I asked.

Kakashi gave me a rare smile "I sort of knew you would go off on your own to save Kasumi. Good job."

I gave him a smile "It's all thanks to your first test lesson you gave us Kakashi-Sensei."

Kakashi nods turning to Hanabi "I applaud your approach too."

Hanabi bows to him "Thank you Kakashi-Sensei."

Kakashi turned "Haku wanted to come with me but he regrets that he is too injured to help. He says he hopes the three of us will succeed."

"So that means..." I said "You are following us too?"

Kakashi smiled "You bet. Lady Tsunade did send me to help protect Kasumi mostly, but also to help Kasumi, Haku, and Hanabi on their mission."

"So where do we start?" Hanabi asked.

Kakashi pulls out Takara whom was conscious once more "We can use Takara here."

"What good will Takara do?" I asked him.

Hanabi shot me a look as she remembered the headband "Animals have way more sense of smell Naruto."

Kakashi winked at her "Correct, Hanabi."

He pulls out Kasumi's headband "Your sister was wearing this but removed it when she noticed she was being knocked out with that knock out gas ball. She knew Takara was a fox but as Hanabi said, animals have a greater sense of smell than we humans do. Bloodhounds the most out of the dogs. So just like a bloodhound, all we have to do is have Takara smell Kasumi's headband, getting Kasumi's scent, and then we follow Takara."

"That's a perfect plan!" Hanabi said to him.

"I'm afraid I'm not following" I admitted.

Hanabi sighs "Even after Kakashi explained it so well...Oh boy we're doomed."

Kakashi bends down to Takara bringing Kasumi's headband towards the fox's nose "Alright Takara, we're trusting you."

"Vulpix!" Takara spoke nodding as if she understood him.

She took a good sniff of the Headband then seemed to get Kasumi's scent and took off smelling the ground searching for Kasumi's scent.

"And here we go" I said.

Kasumi's POV

I was smiling underneath the duck tape gag. Hades had been watching what was going on and was now furious. He had once again erupted in anger, this remind me of when I erupted using my psychic powers on anyone. Pain and Panic were struck by the erupting fire and were blown backwards towards a wall. I gave out a slight giggle at the sight as they slumped down. Hades eyes me "It appears that you are more clever than I anticipated. So what if you let your headband fall off so Takara could trace it. You're time is still running out! They won't save you in time as they'll never reach the Underworld and get past Cerebreus."

Hades had a point as I narrowed my eyes once again in worry looking at the hour glass. Not much time had passed yet perhaps thirty minutes if any. Even I knew it would take some time for Naruto, Hanabi, and Kakashi-Papa to reach the Underworld. Hades now strolls over to his board "Of course, if they want to try to find you...Then I'd better step up my game. Now which of my monsters should I send on them?"

I gave out a worried gulp. I should've known better, try to outsmart Hades and you might get burned and right now, I felt as if I was going to be burned. I watch the hour glass thinking Hanabi...Naruto...Kakashi-Papa, be careful...Don't let your guard down. You are messing with someone who hates to lose, still thanks for trying to save me...I hope you do.

I know this is a regularly shorter chapter than most of them, it's just that I figured this should've been a multi part chapter...Plus I wanted to try it how the Naruto anime sometimes does work, you know, the first part was when they'd begin their mission. Anyway, next chapter is Chapter 21: Bonds of a Brother and Sister PII: Thanks to the arrival of the messenger god Hermes, Hanabi, Kakashi, and Naruto now know that they must find Kasumi within twenty-four hours or they'll lose her to Hades's evil plan but how can they get to the Underworld when Hades sends out hordes of his deadliest monsters to stall them?
