Chapter 25: Split Apart P1
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or Avatar the Last Air Bender, or Hades whom is Disney's version of him. I do own Kasumi along with most of her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters and the four Titan Cards.
The sandstorm faded three hours later after it had arrived. Once it faded we all headed back out towards the direction of the Earth Kingdom's capital. While walking the big talk around the party was on my newest addition to my deck well my Extra Deck the XYZ Monster Zeus's Heroic Knight. Naruto was excited to see me have one and it wasn't a surprise to me that he brought it up. He turned looking at me "Zeus's Heroic Knight is amazing! Honestly I think it's better than Hades' XYZ Monster!"
Hanabi shot Naruto a look "Cereberus, Guardian of the Underworld is a Rank Six monster needing three Level 6 monsters...It too has a starting attack point of three thousand but it's effect with sending it's overlay units to the Graveyard would make it a better XYZ Monster."
"Zeus's Heroic Knight will half it's attack points" Naruto argued back.
Hanabi agreed "Yes, however Kasumi's XYZ Monster can only use it's effect once per turn. If Hades wanted he could send two overlay units that same battle, to gain two thousand more attack which would make Cereberus stronger."
"I don't want to test that theory" I sighed out "Still..." I took a quick glance at the XYZ Monster "It came in handy against Chachamaru."
"That thing is still a great card" Aang told me.
I agreed with him "You're right."
Suddenly Kakashi-Papa stopped and I got ready too.
"What's going on?" Sokka asked seeing that Kakashi-Papa had stopped.
Hanabi quickly used her Byucangan as I used my Psychic Powers in their Prime State to confirm what she saw. Kakashi-Papa answered "We're about to be ambushed."
"By whom?" Sokka demanded drawing his boomerang.
Naruto got ready almost too eagerly bashing his fists together "Doesn't matter who! I've been wondering when I'd get to fight a normal enemy for once! Should be easy!"
Hanabi finally answered "Kakashi-Sensei is right! It appears to be Fire Nation troops!"
"With maybe a low amount of Sound Ninja coming from the rear" I added on.
"How far out?" Sokka asked.
"Exactly fifty meters away from here!" Hanabi and I reported with me adding on "Or fifty meters from our backs for the Sound ninja."
"An ambush is only good if your opponent doesn't know they are coming" Kakashi-papa noted "But we have two of our own friends that have spotted them before they can lay it out."
"We're still in the sand" Toph noted "I'll be at a disadvantage due to not being able to Earth Bend sand properly."
"If they want a fight" Iruka-Sensei said "And we know that they are coming, we'll let them come to us!"
Kakashi-Papa agreed "Indeed. It's time to put up some booby traps."
With this the group now set out to place booby traps in the sand...And they wouldn't be the type that was meant for warning, well to the unlucky individuals whom activated them it would be certain death. To those that saw this happen to their comrades, it would be a warning sign. Once properly set we prepared for the attack. Ten minutes later the Fire Nation would strike lead by Princess Azula herself. Honestly, I saw no surprise there. I saw her looking at us as she tried to cover the group at all angles with her troops. Then I heard the Sound ninja whom arrived at our backs pinning us. However, the first row of Fire Nation Soldiers on all sides and three Sound Ninja advanced setting off the first round of booby traps. Their was an explosion as the first row of troops and three sound ninja stepped in the area and the explosion made the sand turn into quick sand sucking the unlucky foes down into it's dephs killing them.
Kakashi-Papa looked at Princess Azula whom looked shocked that we knew she was coming. My adopted father gave her a strong lecture "As long as we have Hanabi and my adopted daughter Kasumi with us, you won't be able to sneak up on this group easily."
"I knew I had to off that Signer!" Azula shouted glaring at me and Hanabi "But the other girl with black hair and white eyes?"
Hanabi just glared back at her "I'm a ninja of the Hyugga Clan! My Clan is impossible to sneak up on!"
"Give us the Avatar!" Azula shouted "Or else?"
Kakashi eyes her "You don't understand anything. Konoha doesn't turn their back on anyone! We will not do that now. We'll fight your army."
Azula glares "So be it!"
She urges her forces to attack. The Fire Nation charges us some falling for more traps setting them off and dying ether by the paper bombs underneath or just like the previous soldiers sank in quick sand. Others came at us.
"Kasumi, Haku, Hanabi, stick with Aang!" Iruka-Sensei ordered.
"Right!" Haku, Hanabi and I agreed with him.
I dodged one Fire Bended attack then come at the Fire Bender. He Fire Bends at me once again but I carefully dodged once more. Quickly I moved my hand commanding the sand to grab the Fire Bender's feet. He pauses "WHAT THE?"
Where Toph might've been at a disadvantage with her Earth Bending skills trying to bend the sand, I wasn't. I used my skills to pull my opponent forward. He fired bended at the sand trying to break free when Takara at full speed rammed him in the stomach knocking the wind out of him. He gasps in pain kneeling then sees me lash out a fist to his head earning a death blow. He collapses killed and I go about attacking the others.
Aang Air Bended five of the attackers backwards. Five came at Haku. Haku saw them and came at one of them. Two fire bended at him but he dodged easily then lashed out a fist at a third. The third Fire Bender thought it would be wise to lash out back. Big mistake for him. Haku blocked both of his opponent's fist.
"I got him boys!" The Soldier announced "Get him!"
"Fools!" Haku told them timing it right as the five Fire Benders came at him on all sides he timed it right then stomped his foot on the ground "Thousand Needles of Death!"
At Haku's stomp Thousands of ice sickle like needles appeared then at a very fast movement strikes all five soldiers on all sides. The last thing Haku heard from his would be attackers were their death screams as the needles met their bodies causing blood to fly from them before they fell dead with many needles coming from their body.
A Sound Ninja came at Haku from behind trying to take him by surprise but Haku felt him then back flipped kicking the opponent in his face. The Sound Ninja was stunned and he lands on top of Princess Azula "GET OFF OF MY YOU INCOMPETANT NINJA!"
He does rubbing his face. He glares, at Haku, then drew his Kunai Knife coming at my friend "I'll make him pay for that!"
Haku waved his handseeminglyto stare at his opponent "Shattering Ice Spear!"
Out of the sand a sharp ice spear came at the Sound Ninja. He blinked once, plus was in mid charge...Bad combination as the Ice Spear impaled the Sound Ninja in his chest. The force of the impact sent the impaled ninja backwards instantly killed.
"That wasn't Water Bending" Sokka noted.
"It's not" Kakashi-Papa said to him "This is Haku's ninja skills at work here.
Haku saw two other Sound Ninjas both female coming at him but Haku turned glaring at them "Secret Move, Shattering Ice Mirror!"
With the glare Haku instantly froze the two girls, he grabbed two needles then threw them at the ice mirror. The Mirror took the needles, cracking then shattered completely both ice and the victims into hundreds of pieces.
Fire Nation Soldiers and Fire Benders paused they didn't think Haku or any of us Ninjas of Konoha would think on killing soldiers. Haku glares at the rest of them "You threaten the Avatar and the Lady Signer and as Lady Kasumi's bodyguard, I'll gladly kill anyone to save those two. If you are on the side of the Fire Nation, you are an enemy to me and since you are an enemy, I'll treat you like enemies. Those moves are just the beginning for what I can really do, you haven't seen my strongest attack."
Five Fire Benders came at Hanabi whom wasn't just protecting Aang, but covering Toph as well. Hanabi saw them coming at her, she saw them gathering in fire to Fire Bend. They sent the attack at her but Hanabi spun around using her Eight Trigram rotation to block the blasts with ease. They blink and it was all Hanabi needed, the moment they hesitated Hanabi was instantly on them jabbing out at them with her Gentle Fist, right in fatal spots thanks to her Byucgan being on.
Naruto comes at Azula "You're mistake was thinking you have an upper hand!"
Azula thought fast and lightning bended at him. Naruto took the attack head on and seems to drop at her knees in what she thought she had killed him "And your mistake was coming at me with your loud mouth!"
It was then Naruto's body was replaced by wood causing her to growl "Substitution Jutsu?"
She looked around "Where are you?"
She looked everywhere but behind her and that's where she should've looked as Naruto quickly came at her and lashed out a punch to the back of her head "RIGHT HERE!"
The Fire Nation Princess takes the punch and falls to the ground almost skidding. She lands her ground then glared at Naruto "So that's how you want to play? I'll be happy to take you out!"
"We'll see!" Naruto told her pressing his hands together "SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!"
With this Naruto made five Clones of himself and they surrounded Azula. Azula blinked then smirked "Clones hugh? We'll bring them on!"
"YOU GOT IT!" The clones of Naruto shouted.
The Shadow Clones drew their Kunai Knives them charged her. The Fire Nation Princess proved to us that day that she was really capable of defending herself from my brother's Shadow Clones with ease. She ducked their kunai knives all at the same time then kicked two knowing they would puff out in which they did. She then fire bended at two other Shadow Clones destroying them. Then saw the fifth coming at her and sent a blast at it by bending lightning. It puffs out too. She then got cocky "Was that all you got?"
This nearly cost her, like Neji Hyugga discovered, Naruto just used his clones as a distraction while the real one came at her from underneath her feet and scored a nice uppercut to her chin. Before she could recover Naruto then punched her in the face "That's wasn't all I got!"
The punch sent her backwards a bit. She glares at Naruto and both gathered flames in their hands and at the same instant Fire Bended. Azula's blue flames met my brother's orange flames seemingly to collide and cancel each other out. Once this happened the two Fire Bended again this time with their other arm. Once again the flames canceled each other out. Azula then took the time to actually take this to her advantage. At the second time the attacks canceled each other out, she seemed to vanish but in reality was in the air. Naruto saw her one second too late. She came at down with both arms and Fire Bended a powerful blue fire attack which acted like a huge blue fire tsunami wave. Naruto actually took the attack this time and screamed in pain before collapsing.
"Got you" Azula breathed out.
She sent a round of lightning at Haku whom was rushing to help Naruto. Haku wasn't a fool though and braced himself. He took the attack head on but seemed to redirect it. Azula watched Haku amazed Haku was able to do this. Haku then redirected her own attack back at her. Azula was quick and dodged her own attack. She Fire Bended but Haku avoided her. Kakashi-Papa and Iruka-Sensei were fighting off the Jounin ranked Sound Ninja. Azula sees me coming at me "Time to take you out!"
"You seem to be forgetting something" I told her coming at her.
"And that is?" She demanded.
"You've never bested me in one-on-one combat in a fair fight!" I answered.
She Fire Bends but I quickly reactivate my Psychic Powers to be in their Prime state and used them to avoid her attack. She lightning bends at me and it was only with my Psychic Powers I was able to avoid it. She comes at Aang as well Fire Bending but the Avatar dodges her attack then Air Bends at her. She jumps to avoid the Air Bending attack. She then took me and Haku by surprise by a clever move. She spun around kicking Haku in the face stunning him, then she managed to grab him then toss him onto me. The two of us go down as she comes at us from the skies gathering in a huge amount of Fire. Aang, Toph and Hanabi ran over towards me and Haku to aide us. I thought fast and just as she came at us Earth Bended a huge rocky sphere like shield. The Shield held as blue fire shot all around it.
"Great call there" Haku told me.
Suddenly something seemed to pick the shield up "WHAT THE HECK?" I asked.
Hanabi peers through the sphere "Lady Kasumi...Lord Manda!"
I hesitate a bit and lower the sphere to see that Hanabi was speaking the truth. There Lord Orochimaru's big purple snake Summon was there. The huge snake had wrapped his tail around the rock sphere. I knew what it was trying to do, I could feel the huge snake was trying to coil and break the sphere down. I saw Naruto coming around "KASUMI!"
The snake glared at him as Azula sneered "Still alive?"
"You bet!" Naruto told her "I'm not going to be bested by some surprise attack that easily!"
He presses his hands together "Mulit-Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Hundred of clones appear and now charge Azula with Naruto shouting "Help my sister!"
Azula thought fast "Lord Manda! Instead of coiling that sphere, smack it."
The purple snake glared at her clearly not liking to take her orders but does. I then saw Orochimaru was indeed with her. The man gave his snake the okay to do so. Manda then agreed "Fine."
He lifts his tail up then with one mighty swing strikes the rock sphere, Aang, Haku, Hanabi, Takara, Toph and I were in. The force of the blow sent the bolder flying.
"Anyone know where we are going?" Toph asked us.
"Negative!" Hanabi said.
I turn to see that Manda had hit us so hard that the sphere was flying towards an opened star shaped place in the sky. No sooner had it hit the star space, did the star's gravity somehow destroy the sphere and sucked us all in. Then all I remember was darkness as I remember blacking out.
I don't know how long I was out, but I remember waking up in a forest of some kind. Takara was somehow on my chest ether sleeping or still knocked out. I took the time to look around the forest. It was new. I heard birds chirping and knew something had happened. Haku was coming around and did next. He turned "This isn't where we were before."
"Is everyone alright?" I asked worried.
"I know I am" Haku admitted.
Hanabi opens her eyes "I am too Lady Kasumi..."
"I am too" Toph admitted.
"Where are we?" Aang asked.
"Good question" I admitted looking around "Last thing I know is Manda hitting us with his tail and we ended up being sucked in by a star."
"Orochimaru's doing?" Aang asked.
"Possibly is" I admitted.
"Plus it feels as if Aang, Hanabi, Haku, myself and you are the only ones here" Toph said "I can't seem to detect Kakashi, Iruka, Naruto, Katara, and Sokka."
"I don't even see them" I admitted.
"Me ether" Hanabi said.
"Vulpix..." Takara muttered coming around.
"You okay Takara?" I asked her.
"Vulpix!" the vulpix cried out nodding.
"If we are in a forest" Haku told me "There has to be a town of some kind. Let's go find out where."
"Good idea!" Aang said.
"No argument there" Toph admitted.
"Let's stick together" I suggested.
"Agreed" Hanabi said.
The five of us and Takara began walking threw the forest. It seemed to be a brand new world. It was packed with many strange animals, but you know...There were some animals I didn't like...Specifically animals that were laying on trees. They seemed to be golden cocoons with eyes staring at me. I knew these had to be bugs...My worst fear ever, bugs... "Bugs..." I muttered "Why it have to be bugs?"
"Bugs aren't so bad" Aang told me.
"Speak for yourself!" I told him politely "My father would agree with me!"
The cocoons seemed to have glared back at me. At this time I saw their backs glowing white and knew this wasn't a good sign. They were glowing white then in their place big huge bees with three stingers emerged from the cocoons and boy two things stood out...One these giant bees didn't come close the deadly Japanese Giant hornet compared to height, these bees were bigger and giving off mean vibes. Plus the second thing...Did they look angry at the five of us.
I gulped nervously while looking at Aang whom sweat dropped "Care to rephrase that Aang?" Aang gulps "I wasn't expecting that..." I wasn't the only one, Haku and Hanabi were worried too.
"What did I miss?" Toph asked hearing everyone worried.
"Cocoons..." I answered stepping back "Hatching into bees with three stingers!"
"We might want to start running" Aang suggested.
"Good idea!" I shouted.
The bees took off after us and we broke into a run. The bees were surprisingly fast. I didn't want to be stung by one. It looked painful. Takara thought fast and turned around abruptly then took a deep breathe "VVVUUULLLPPPIIIXXX!"
She unleashes flames from her mouth breathing out sideways. The Powerful flames strike the bees and appeared to spook the bees. Five of the bees fell to the ground. The other bees began to fly back. I turned to Takara "Thanks Takara! That's two I owe you treats for."
"Vulpix!" Takara replied happily.
"Takara seemed to have worked on them" Aang said.
"That she did" Haku admitted he turned to me "I never seen bees that big before."
"We should be lucky that they were scared off by Takara" Hanabi said.
"That we should" I admitted.
We got to a new clearing in the forest but was out of sight from those bees. I still shutter to think those things exist. The reason why we stopped was because it was getting night strangely. We didn't know anything about this area. Still there wasn't anything to say we were in danger. Still even with a campfire around, I decided to take first watch. Takara was with me and I was glad she was. I pet her head as everyone took some time to sleep, not that we'd need it after being knocked out. The night seemed very peaceful, so peaceful one could get used to this. Then half way during the night, I heard a commotion. Takara heard it too, Haku rose hearing this himself "What's going on?"
"Not sure" I said "But I'm going to find out."
"Not without us!" Haku said.
Hanabi shook herself awake and went to wake Aang and Toph. The five of us followed the sound. What I saw, made my heart sink. I saw a baby Vulpix, but this one was a different color than the one I already had in Takara, where Takara was brown with a slight hint of red on her head, this baby Vulpix was white...Snow white to be exact. I could tell it was a baby Vulpix because Takara was bigger and most likely an adult Vulpix. What made my heart sink wasn't the white baby Vulpix but what was attacking it. A huge steel like snake. The baby Vulpix I could tell seemed to be lost and worst because of this snake seemed really hurt! No decision was necessary, I had to save her! I turned to Takara "Come on Takara! We gotta save your kin!"
"Vulpix!" Takara agreed.
"WAIT, LADY KASUMI!" Haku warned "Don't fight it without knowing what you are going up against!"
"Yeah!" Toph admitted "That thing is huge! It could eat you!"
"Better me than that baby Vulpix!" I shouted back ignoring their warning with Takara running besides me.
"I hate it when she doesn't listen to reason" Haku muttered.
Hanabi smiled "She does most of the time, but she doesn't every single time! I hear her father would do this too. Besides how would you feel if you saw a baby being picked on?"
"Good point" Aang said.
Toph "Let's see what we can do to help her then."
I didn't know how I was going to save the baby Vulpix, but I knew I had to. As I get down to help the baby vulpix, I could tell she had a broken back leg and a broken front leg. I heard her whimpering in pain "THAT'S ENOUGH!" I shouted angrily.
In my anger I unleashed a powerful burst of Psychic energy. The huge steel snake seemed to have been taken by surprise by my swift action. My powerful energy knocks it onto it's back. It roared angrily glaring at me. I glare back "Picking on babies is wrong! You want to pick on someone pick on someone your own size or is willing to fight back!"
It raised it's tail and I could literally see it glowing a good steel coating. I swings it's tail at me and I quickly put Earth Armor on me thinking it was a good idea. Turns out while it protected me from getting seriously hurt, it still sent me backwards but my armor had been shattered by that one attack. I glare at it as it comes at me.
"VVVUUULLLPPPIIIXXX!" Takara shouted unleashing a powerful flame attack at the Steel Snake's mouth.
Now it was the Steel snake's turn to be taken by surprise roaring in pain. Aang, Haku, Hanabi and Toph joined me.
"Are you okay Lady Kasumi?" Aang asked me.
"I am" I told him.
I turned to Haku then to the baby Vulpix "Take this baby Vulpix some place safer. I'll catch up with you shortly."
"What about you?" Haku asked.
I gave the Steel snake a big grin "Takara and I will teach this snake on why it shouldn't pick on babies."
"Vulpix!" Takara agreed breathing out flames out of her mouth like me she didn't want to see any of her kin even if it was a different color hurt especially a baby one.
Haku nods "Right."
Haku made an attempt to gently hold the baby Vulpix but it seemed scared of him and shivered trying to get away. Haku sighed "Come on! I'm not going to hurt you!"
The baby also avoided Toph's attempts then again whenever Toph tried to grab the baby she ended up accidentally grabbing someone else like me, Haku, Hanabi or even Aang at times. Aang tried a friendlier approach "Here, Haku, let me try."
The baby Vulpix eyed the Avatar as he comes slowly and extended his hand towards it's nose "I'm Aang, I'm the Avatar, master of all Elements. I'm not here to hurt you, rather, my friend Lady Kasumi is trying to save you. Here smell my hand, to see I won't hurt you."
The baby Vulpix decided to go with it, she trusted Aang already. He leans his hand forward and she takes a gentle sniff. The baby Vulpix relaxed happily allowing Aang to ask her "May I take you?"
It nods feeling it could trust me and Aang. Me mostly because I had flung myself in the way of it's attacker. Aang gently took her and held it so he wouldn't be hurting it's broken legs "There, there, relax."
He turned to me "I got her!"
"Thanks Aang" I told him "Now you, Haku, Hanabi, and Toph should get to some place safer. While I see what I can do to stop this giant thing."
Aang nods as he retreats with the baby Vulpix in hand "Come on!"
"How come it trusted you easily?" Haku asked him bewildered "I'm on the Lady Signer's side."
Aang answered holding the baby Vulpix gently "Well, one is, you, Toph and Hanabi were too quick for her. Second she's lost and away from her mother. Then the third is, I was raised by monks! Besides you see how well I treat Apa and Momo."
Haku sighed taking the Avatar's comment well "Point taken."
My four friends leave me and Takara to deal with this huge steel snake. It glared at my retreating friends and makes an attempt to attack them so it could finish off the baby Vulpix. I see this and shout "NO YOU DON'T!"
I Earth Bended a boulder and sent it smacking it across the Steel Snake's head. It hissed and turned it's attention back to me.
"If you want that baby Vulpix than you are going to have to face me and Takara here first!" I warned it "And neither she or I will lose to you, you big bully!"
It glared accepting the challenge. It raised it's tail aiming it at me and Takara. I gave my Vulpix a look and a nod. She giggled faintly then we both timed it right as the Steel Snake swung it's tail at us. At the same time Takara I both dodged to the side. A ghost like flame surrounded Takara as she sent it out towards the snake. It roared not in pain but I saw that the flame caused a burn to be put on it. It roared out kicking up sand.
"Oh great!" I muttered "It can create a sandstorm? Takara? Are you still here?"
"Vulpix!" Takara's voice sounded as the sandstorm went to work covering the area the three of us were in.
I had to activate my Psychic Powers in their Prime State a third time this day to be able to see through the sandstorm. To our surprise the Steel Snake had vanished but, as I looked closely, I saw a giant hole in the ground. I knew it had tunneled under ground. "Coward!" I called out to it.
No sooner had I said that when the ground beneath me and Takara shook.
"What the?" I asked
"Vulpix?" Takara asked as well.
The ground burst apart and the huge Steel Snake appeared striking me and Takara as it shot it's body upward.
I grabbed onto a branch with one arm and put myself on a tree. Takara managed to do the same with her tail on another tree. The huge steel snake was still there standing. It reeled in pain from the burn that chipped away at it's health. Now I had a feeling the burn on it decreased this creature's attack somewhat because I didn't feel as if that it's latest attack hurt too much. Takara was okay as well. She unleashed a blinding ray at the Steel snake. The ray connects and the snake starts acting as if it were confused. I saw my chance giving her a nod "Come on Takara, let's end this fight!"
She nods as I gathered up an attack in my hand "I haven't used this in a while...Black Rose Gale Twister!"
I harnessed Black Rose Dragon's attack in my hand then sent it out towards the Steel Snake. At the same time Takara opened her mouth and breathed out hot flames at our opponent. Takara's attack hit first since she was the closest to the target causing it to roar in pain then the Black Rose Gale Twister hit it causing it to be engulfed in a real fire sharp leafy tornado. The intense flames and the twister were too much for the Steel Snake, after roaring in major pain it then collapses onto the ground swirls were shown in it's eyes. I knew right then that the creature had fainted overwhelmed by the attacks. No sooner had Takara and I defeated it, did the sandstorm fade. Takara and I reunited with each other.
"Good job Takara" I told as she leaps into my arms happily.
"Vulpix!" Takara shouted happily.
She glares at the Steel snake and I pet her "The fight's over now. We gotta get back to our friends! Plus I gotta get you checked out, you took one nasty blow to your chest when that thing emerged from the ground like that."
"Vulpix!" Takara shouted agreeing with me.
With Takara on my shoulders, I headed back to camp. Haku saw me saluting me "Lady Kasumi! How was your fight?"
"It went well" I told him "That thing was no laughing matter though, it buried itself underground and shot upward striking me and Takara."
"Are you okay?" Aang asked me.
"I am" I told Aang "Takara got hit more due to her small size but I think she's alright too."
"Good" Aang told me the baby Vulpix was laying down.
The baby saw me and Takara. Takara leaps down from my shoulders and approaches her kin. Okay so the baby and Takara weren't related as sisters but they were the same species so kin could be used for that at least in my mind. Takara began smelling the baby over trying to get her scent and to be friendly with her. I knew she was doing a fox thing and allowed it seeing the baby was doing the same thing back to my pet.
"Where's Haku?" I asked seeing Hanabi, and Toph there but Haku wasn't anywhere seen.
"He went scouting ahead" Toph answered.
"Scouting for what?" I asked.
"For a hospital for the baby Vulpix" Hanabi told me "He maybe a Water Bender but unlike Katara he's not good at using his Water Bending skills to heal."
I approached the baby Vulpix "That's right, this young Vulpix has two broken legs."
"And she has a broken chest" Aang told me "I had to be careful holding her otherwise...And Hanabi can confirm, I got a beam of ice to the face."
"This Vulpix breathes Ice?" I asked looking at the baby Vulpix.
"It sure can" Hanabi answered "Which is strange because I thought Vulpix were like your Takara, able to breathe fire."
Toph sighed "It surprised me too."
"That is strange" I said looking at the baby Vulpix "I have some knowledge of what's called Psychic Healing. Would you like me to attempt to heal some of your injuries till Haku arrives?"
"Vulpix" The baby Vulpix replied nodding it's head.
"Okay, just relax" I told her.
"Vulpix, Vulpix, Vulpix" Takara spoke to the baby obviously trying to translate what I was telling the baby or trying to have a conversation with the baby.
I choose to go with Stardust Dragon in my Extra Deck and used it's defense points to begin trying to heal the baby Vulpix's injuries.
"Vulpix" The baby Vulpix replied back most likely the two Vulpix were having a conversation.
"Aang" Toph said turning to the Avatar "You're the animal expert here. Can you translate for us what they are saying?"
"I may like animals" Aang replied "But that doesn't mean I have any idea what most are thinking, that includes these two Vulpixes.
Takara runs over to me "Vulpix!" she cried "Vulpix."
I lean forward gently, now I didn't know what she was saying ether but I had a feeling "Are you saying the baby Vulpix got separated from it's mother?
"Vulpix!" Takara replied nodding.
I looked at the baby Vulpix determined to help her "Have no fear little one. I'm sure Aang would be delighted to help you find your mother."
"Of course I would!" Aang said "No baby should be left without a mother. We'll help you find your mother."
The baby Vulpix seemed to have smiled as I started more healing. Clearly I needed more practice with Psychic Healing, and an animal hospital would be the best thing to help this baby Vulpix.
Haku arrived back "Lady Kasumi!"
"Your back!" I said turning to him "How'd it go? Did you find a hospital for this baby Vulpix?"
"I did!" Haku reported. It's about Thirty minutes away from here. I also found out that we are in the world of Pokemon."
"Pokemon?" I asked.
"How'd you figure that out?" Toph asked.
Haku answered both of us "Pokemon are what your pet Takara is, basically short for Pocket Monster, most are kept in Pokeballs to battle another trainer, but they can be pets, plus there are a lot of Pokemon around...Not just centered to Vulpix. Those bees earlier today were known as Beedrill...That Steel Snake was known as a Steelix. As to your question Toph, I learned that from a few Pokemon Trainers that are in the forest."
"When you say lots of Pokemon" Aang told Haku "How many are we speaking about?"
"Currently Four Hundred and Fifty" Haku reported.
"That's...A Lot" I muttered.
He focused more on healing the baby Vulpix "Haku we got another side mission."
"I know the main one is figuring out a way to get back to our time frame" Haku told me "What's the other one?"
"Finding this baby Vulpix's mother to reunite her with" Aang said for me.
Haku understood nodding "Very well."
"At first light" I told my friends "We'll head to this animal hospital...Does this hospital have a name?"
"The Trainers I overheard earlier while scouting call it a Pokemon Center" Haku replied.
"Then we'll head to this Pokemon center" I said "At first light."
"Right!" Hanabi said.
I looked around not liking there were four hundred and fifty of these monsters known as Pokemon out there, where I was okay with most of them, I wasn't so keen on meeting the Bug Types. I gave out a worried sigh as I toured the area with my eyes.

Yeah as you figured out Kasumi has met an Alohan Vulpix. Where this time frame in Kasumi and the Avatar is in Pokemon, I'm centering it around the Shinoh Region AKA Generation Four. Now I know Alohan Vulpix is a Generation Seven Pokemon but it's the only one from the Alohan Region that I'm putting in, mostly because of what I have planned for Kasumi and the two Vulpix. Dragon Knight 15 is the only one that knows what I'm planning but I don't want to spoil the details to anyone else. Anyway this is has been Split Up Part 1. The next chapter is Split Apart P2: Morning has come in the Pokemon World, Aang, Haku, Hanabi, Toph, Kasumi and the two Vulpix head out to the Pokemon Center where they meet Ash, Dawn and Brock whom agree to help them find the Alohan baby Vulpix's mother. But trouble unfolds when the group runs into Team Rocket.
Also, if you want to have Aang, Haku, Hanabi, and Toph have a Pokemon Generation Four or lower let me know what you'd think would be best for them in the review. Otherwise it'll just be Kasumi and the two Vulpix alone for the side journey quest.
