Chapter 31: A new Enemy P2
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or Avatar the Last Air Bender, or Hades whom is Disney's version of him. I do own Kasumi along with most of her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters and the four Titan Cards.
Things seemed to go as planned. My friends, along with Ash, Brock, and Dawn had just made an alliance with Team Rocket whom were now going away to do their part of this assignment into bringing Marik the Third down. I was making a silent thought on my mental check list, we got Team Rocket as an ally, that was a check. The remaining things on the list was to discover where Marik the Third's henchmen would be hiding at. Then once we've gathered enough information from these henchmen I'd finally go at it with Marik the Third. In the inside, I was worried about the whole situation, on the outside I tried not to show it. Sadly for me, both Haku and Hanabi whom known me for a long time, they could read me like an opened book. I had excused myself from Ash and his friends waiting for our first bit of info from Team Rocket. Aang was with the three Trainers as was Toph. Both Air Bender and Earth Bender were about to witness what a Pokemon battle looked like, even though it would be a practice one. Ash was facing off against Brock in a practice battle, his Pikachu stood ready to face off against Brock's Crogunk with Dawn watching on the sidelines.
While the practice battle was going on, Haku and Hanabi saw me sitting down drawing something on the ground with a stick in my hand.
"Lady Kasumi?" Hanabi asked me.
I turned towards her as she and Haku advanced.
"Something bothering you?" Haku asked for Hanabi.
I tried to give them a smile which obviously was fake, but I was trying to give the two the impression that I was okay.
"That look may work on Aang, Ash, Brock, and Dawn" Haku told me "But it won't work on me, or Hanabi, or even Toph for that matter."
"What's on your mind?" Hanabi asked me.
I sighed out "Honestly, there is a lot of things. I'm troubled really and it's on this issue. We know Marik the Third must be stopped, we are going to do that or die trying, but I'm starting to feel that pressure...Pressure that I've never felt before, I mean I know when things look bad and I've gained horrible nightmares known as Psychic Visions which frightened me, but the pressure is what's really scaring me here."
Haku put his hands underneath his chin "If it's too much pressure for you, then you don't have to do this you know."
I looked at him "Marik the Third is here and is plotting a revenge plan against my father. So even if we don't deal with him now then Marik will certainly get what he wants from here and come to get his revenge on my father. So ether way I look at it, sooner or later I will have to deal with him."
"I see" Haku said understandingly "And I can also see why you feel the pressure because you feel as if this needs to be done now."
"It does though" I told him "When is this cycle of hatred going to stop? First Fire Nation and Sound Village ninjas in our time then in this time we need to stop a psychotic manic in this Marik the Third guy in this time."
Hanabi nodded at this "Haku and I support you one hundred percent of the way. I must assume you feel this pressure because this is the first time you realize that this threat Marik the Third possesses has a deep threat towards everyone and everything we know."
I looked at her with a dumbstruck look, Hanabi hit the right note on that one, she was right as I sighed hanging my head "You got me there. Plus as a Signer it's my destiny to stop this madness...But what if I can't? If I can't stop Marik the Third then I doom this world and ours!"
"Lady Kasumi" Hanabi told me in her gentle tone sitting down besides me while putting an arm around my shoulders "Everyone feels pressure every now and then. I can understand why you feel this way, as this isn't the first time you had to deal with a serious threat in our world. This is the first time two worlds are at risk here. Believe in yourself!"
"Believe in myself?" I asked feeling a bit happier, that Hanabi was giving me advise.
Haku agreed with her "Indeed! Trust in yourself. Sure this is actually getting more serious by the minute and the pressure is gaining, however Hanabi and I wouldn't be here to help you if we didn't believe you can do it. You're a Signer-"
"And our friend!" Hanabi said "Haku, and I will follow you till the gates of hell take us. Two worlds maybe at risk here, but you have to give yourself good faith that you are giving yourself now."
I now gave them all a big smile happy to have these two as not only my teammates but as friends I could turn to when I felt this sort of pressure. I started to cry not in sadness but in happiness as I gave each of them a hug "Thanks you two! I really needed that pep talk."
Haku nods "Besides, we know you Lady Kasumi, you'll defeat Marik the Third and put a stop to this madness. When it works out, Hanabi, and I can then be proud of not only ourselves but of you as a leader which our two worlds need right now.
I smiled at him as his words warmed my heart "Haku...Hanabi...Sometimes I don't think you two deserve me as a friend when I feel this way. It should be me that helps you two out in that way."
"We all feel pressure at one point in our lives" Hanabi told me as she smiles at me "Don't speak such nonsense Lady Kasumi, we all have thoughts like that at one point...And everyone even you need to have friends that support you heavily."
"You're right Hanabi" I told her.
Hanabi nods "Why don't we see what a proper Pokemon Battle looks like even if it is a practice one? Might just take your mind off this seriousness for a while."
I have her a smile as she took my hand to help me up "Very well."
Haku joins us while looking around "You know, Hanabi and I should help you more often...That felt great helping you out!"
"Wouldn't be the first time that you snapped me out of this feeling" I told him remembering that he helped me out the first time I felt this way during my first adventure in the Leaf Village.
Aang saw me, Haku, and Hanabi approaching "Everything okay Lady Kasumi?"
"I'm fine now thanks to Haku and Hanabi" I told him.
Aang smiled at them "Good job you two, I don't know what you two did to help her out but she seems better."
"I agree" Toph said "Even I can feel her mood change."
I stood alongside Haku, Hanabi as we joined Aang and Toph to watch the practice battle while waiting for Team Rocket to find what they could.
Team Rocket Meowth's POV
Jessie, James and I were making quick progress on our destination. Now we could've said no to Kasumi's request for an alliance but that really didn't favor any party and certainly not Team Rocket's interests to have this Marik the Third guy take our jobs away at will. As we silently walked through a town we had our master disguises on. As we were leaving the twerps I had suggested we ditch the Team Rocket Uniform for something more spy like. Jessie and James had disguised themselves as really good spies dressed in black, they even wore sunglasses over their eyes to give out the nice spy vibe.
"Do you think this is the perfect spot to find anything?" James whispered to me.
"I'm one hundred percent sure this is the first stop" I whispered back.
"Silence you two!" Jessie told us in her own whisper "Or you'll blow our cover! We can't fail our new boss even if she is a temporary one."
"Point taken" I muttered silently.
As we get to an abandoned building, we decided to enter it as sneaky as we could. There were signs that there was a Pokemon inside. I saw cages and knew this might be where a Pokemon was held prisoner waiting to be transformed into a card.
"Looks like we've struck the gold mine!" James said.
"It does indeed" Jessie said "It also seems that no one has been here for a long time."
It is then the lights turned on.
"You had to say it didn't you?" I demanded over towards her.
"Now's not the time to argue" James said "We've gotta hide before we're discovered!"
"Rodger that!"
Turns out Team Rocket were masters at hiding. We discovered a little security flaw the building had. Turns out the building had ceiling where we could hide ourselves in and watch below like true spies would be able to.
"Do you think that's Marik?" James whispered to me.
"No, he's not giving off an evil fill but I see he maybe duelist one of our allies must deal with" I answered him.
The figure amazingly didn't think he was being tracked or spied on. He places the Sneasel down "Marik the Third will award me greatly when I give you in card form to him!" the figure said in an evil tone. After all I Ackana, the Master of Dark Magicians shall give him you!"
"Arkana?" Jessie asked "Does that word ring a bell to you two?"
"No" I told her "But I'm sure that'll ring a bell in Lady Kasumi's head!"
"Poor Sneasel" James muttered "Going to be turned into a card with no say."
"Not unless we have something to say about it!" I said.
"You have a plan to free it?"
"Indeed, James find a secure spot to tell our boss of our location. Jessie, you need to dress as a police officer.
"What good would that do?" Jessie asked me.
"It's all part of the plan!" I explained "The Lady Signer would want us to free the Pokemon he has and you being and pretending your a police officer will add onto my plan. While you distract him, I'll see what I can do to open the cage. Then after I give you the single to bail out we'll continue our journey to bust other people this Marik guy has in his command."
Jessie agreed "Alright."
James and Jessie left with Jessie coming back dressed up as an police officer. I'm watching down below for my cue to drop in silently. Jessie banged on the door as if she were a police officer "Police! Open the door up!"
The man gasped "How did the police show up? I was certain I wasn't being followed!"
He goes to the door, then I wait for my moment to jump down from the ceiling and free the Sneasel which as I was seeing would be too easy. I mean come on, the captive Pokemon's cage was on some sort of lever and all I needed to do was pull the level downward and open the cage. I did see there was some alarm based system from below but not from the ceiling. I prepared myself for the rescue as I whisper down to the Sneasel "Hey you up here!"
The Sneasel heard someone calling towards it and looked around before it looked up. I put a paw to my mouth as if asking for silence "Just wait a little longer, I'll get you out okay."
The Sneasel shot me a look as if I was on the bad guy's side. I raised my paws in despair to show it I was on it's side "Normally you'd be in a tight spot if Team Rocket was up to no good pal, however we are allied with someone really helpful and wants to stop this madman. Just wait a bit longer and I'll get you out."
The Sneasel nodded now understanding what I was going to do.
So as Jessie still pretended to be an officer to stop this man I walked on the ceiling silently towards the Sneasel's cage where it would be an easy drop then after I took my moment, I pounced onto the lever avoiding the alarm based laser system.
Kasumi's POV
It turned out Pokemon Battling was all about watching your opponent and trying to be crafty, at least that what it seemed to be for Ash. Brock also countered Ash pretty well at one point. The practice battle was ongoing but I was already liking what I was seeing. Maybe I was wrong about Ash earlier. He did care for Pokemon. It is then, my single headset piece in my right ear went off "Hey guys! Please stop for a second.
"What's wrong?" Ash asked me.
Brock turned towards me "Something happen?"
Dawn turned towards me as well "I think something did."
"I'm picking up an info single from James"
"Oh!" was the reply.
I touched my headset piece "Go ahead James, this is Kasumi, what's up?"
James's voice announced threw the headset as there was the sound of alarms blaring off "Quick, everyone! Jessie, Meowth and I found a Sneasel that was being kept prisoner at what appeared to be a deserted town."
"Why are the alarms going off?" Ash asked "Did you two break into something to steal a Pokemon?"
"No!" James said and Toph agreed with James "I think someone just tried to bust Sneasel out of a cage."
"You'd be right" James said "According to Jessie, Meowth stayed behind to release the captured Pokemon from it's cage."
"Is the person Marik?" I asked.
"No ma'am" James said "Someone named Arkana! Calls himself the Master of Magicians...Does that ring a bell?"
I scratched my head as it did "Great...That Rare Hunter in the old days of the great Duel King himself Yugi Muto."
"So you have heard of him?"
"I have James, and listen to me, when you regroup with Jessie and Meowth, get away from that guy and continue on with your mission."
"Rodger that! James out!"
Then there was silence as Haku had overheard this as well. He turned to me "So it's this Arkana fella again."
"Looks like it"
"Arkana?" Dawn asked me "Whose that?'
"Long ago, before my time or even my father's time...Oh what am I kidding perhaps hundreds of years ago, when Duel Monsters was first introduced to the world by Pegasus. There was a tournament known as the first ever Battle City. Duelist all over the world organized challenging others to Duels with the now illegal Ante rule forcing the loser to give up their rarest card to the winner."
"That's mean" Brock noted.
"Seto Kaiba was all about being mean in those days" I sighed out "Anyway during Battle City, this attracted Marik's the Third's ancestor or father in this case whom was also known as Marik to Battle City."
"Do we know why?" Ash asked me.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu agreed.
"Yes" I said "It was because of the three legendary Egyptian God Cards or card that Seto Kaiba was given by Ishizu Ishtar, Marik the Third's aunt."
"I see it now" Brock said "Marik the Third's father wanted the God Cards to himself."
"Exactly and Yugi's Millennium Puzzle as he was after the legendary Pharaoh's power" I told them "Anyway one of the early Marik's abilities with the Millennium Rod was to get Mind Slaves to do his bidding and control them from afar if he needed to or if they lost a Duel. These Duelist called themselves the Rare Hunters, whose job was to deliver all rare cards to Marik himself. Arkana if it's the same one we're going to meet was one of those Duelist."
"Was he strong?" Ash asked me.
"Some say he was stronger than the first Duelist Yugi went up against whom had an all fake Exodia deck" I explained "But Arkana himself lost to Yugi as well if Memory serves and Marik the Third's father banished Arkana's soul to the Shadow Rhelm for losing..."
"So" Haku muttered "This Marik must've freed Arcana's soul after a long time to serve him now."
I stood up "We got a lead guys! Ash, Brock, Dawn, follow me! Haku stay with me as we make our way up north to that location. Hanabi please bring up the rear! We're moving out!"
Aang turned to me "You're really becoming that leader we need here."
I blushed "Someone has to, anytime you get a lead, it's best to get there pronto!"
"She's right" Toph admitted.
It took about half an hour but we found where this Arcana was hiding in. He was indeed hiding in what one would think of as an abandoned town. Oddly enough it gave off a haunted feel towards it. Any normal human being especially my brother would've took of running the opposite direction to someplace safe. Out of the corner of my eye I did see a few Ghosts. Mostly Gastly from what Brock identified and even a floating head ghost type which Ash's Pokedex identified as Misdrievous. I knew deep down that this town would've indeed sent Naruto running, if there was one thing he feared, it was ghosts.
"Where are we?" Ash asked Brock.
Brock whom had actually took the time to look at his town map rook his time in answering "I'm not sure Ash. This town ether is so old and deserted that the map doesn't register it."
"It feels creepy with all the Gastly and Misdrevious running about in the darker areas" Dawn said shivering.
"Pika pi!" Pikachu agreed.
"Vulpix" The baby vulpix said scared.
"Don't worry little one" I told her "Everything will be just fine. I promise right Takara?"
"Vulpix!" Takara said with a big smile on her face.
"Stick together everyone" I ordered "Not all of us have Pokemon on us, but Haku, Hanabi and I should be able to do something against the ghost Pokemon around here if they come at us."
We finally got to one building where a dark weasel like creature ran out towards us slamming right into Haku whom fell onto his butt "What's wrong little guy?" Haku asked.
"That's a Sneasel!" Dawn told Haku.
I could tell that it was scared of something as Haku tried to calm it down "Settle down, I'm with the Lady Signer here, I don't want to hurt you...What are you running from?"
"So there is where that Sneasel went" a voice called out.
Aang, Ash, Brock, Dawn, Haku, Hanabi and I turned our attention to the direction of the voice and sure enough there was no mistaken it on my part.
"Is that Arkana?" Ash asked me.
"Sure is" I told Ash.
Arkana looked at us then at my arm "So you are the Signer that Marik the Third is after."
"What of it?" I asked "I can't allow him to harm others even these wonderful creatures that are called Pokemon don't deserve this mistreatment!"
"Mistreatment you say?" Arkana asked me.
"That's right it's mistreatment!" Ash told him boldly "We Pokemon Trainers enjoy our Pokemon...At least most do."
"Marik will get what he wants!" Arkana told us.
"He won't get what he wants" Haku said to Arkana "Not when we have the Lady Signer one hundred percent behind us."
Arcana saw the snow white Vulpix "A double treat for Marik...Plus even I can see your Lady Signer is in no position to Duel so I'll be taking both the Sneasel and the Baby Vulpix.
I gave out a growl "I maybe too weak to Duel right now but I have something Marik and you Rare Hunters don't and that's friends at my side...Five of us are Duelist, and three of us are Pokemon Trainers."
"You don't stand a chance in taking these two Pokemon from us!"
"He has one way" Aang muttered.
"That's right" Arkana said "I can steal the two Pokemon from you all with ease, or I can Duel one of you."
He smirked at me "Of course in your condition you won't be able to focus..."
"Never stopped me from Dueling before" I warned him "I can have Hanabi draw and do my moves for me just as I did to Naruto once."
"I remember that" Haku muttered "Seeing that I was on the receiving end on that Duel."
He then passed Brock the Sneasel as he stood up "Arkana! We both know that Lady Kasumi would beat you with ease! If the King of Games Yugi Muto could then the Lady Signer would cap you twice as bad as he could! In short you have no chance in beating her."
"What are you up to?" Dawn asked.
"He's lost his mind" Ash noted.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu admitted.
"No" I said smiling "Haku's got my back and Arkana looks like he's falling for it."
It was true Arkana was certainly doing a double take on what was going on. He remembered that he lost to Yugi Muto, when he was trying to steal the Millennium Puzzle from the King of Games. If he lost to Yugi then he would stand no chance against me. So he looks at Haku "Then I'll be happy to put you in place, you masked ninja!"
Hanabi and I gave each other a wicked smile. We knew Haku was strong, very strong. Haku himself probably could defeat Arkana in a Duel."
"Go get him Haku!" Toph encouraged.
"Yeah Haku!" Aang announced "Show Ash, Brock and Dawn what your deck has!"
Haku agreed looking at Aracna "You bet I will Aang, now Aracna, I won't let you take these two Pokemon to Marik that easily...Challenging me was your last mistake."
"It will be my greatest triumph!" Aracna said "Now if you lose, not only will I get those two Pokemon but your Soul might be claimed as well."
Haku wasn't phased by this as he powered up his Duel Disk "Fine, but when you lose, I will hear no crying or complaining."
Without any other word Arcana and Haku had their Duel Disks ready and their Decks shuffled, then they drew their top five cards shouting "DUEL!"
Haku's Life Points: 4000
Arkana's Life Points: 4000
"I'll do the honors of starting this Duel" Haku told Arkana.
"It won't make a difference masked ninja!" Arkana warned.
"Let's find out then" Haku told Aracna "I draw then!"
Haku drew his card "Very well, first I'll start by summoning my Cyhthonian Soldier to the field in attack mode!"
A Warrior monster appeared on the field ATK: 1200
"Next" Haku told Arkana "I'll set one card Face-down and end my turn."
Haku set one of his spell or Trap Cards down.
"It's my move" Arcana announced "I draw!"
He drew "First I start by summoning Rouge Doll in attack mode!"
A doll like monster appeared on Arcana's side of the field. ATK: 1600
"Next" Arcana spoke "I activate my Double Summon Spell Card which enables me to Normal Summon another monster this turn, but before I do that I'll activate the Spell Card: Cost Down, by discarding one card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can then lower the levels of all monsters in my hand or field by two."
Haku knew what was coming as Arcana spoke "With that in mind, I'll tribute my Rouge Doll in order to Tribute Summon, my first Dark Magician!"
Normally when a Dark Magician was out he would be dress in purple but this one seemed red and evil looking. ATK: 2500
"Now" Aracna announced "Battle, Dark Magician attack Cyhthonian Soldier with Dark Magic Attack!"
"Continuous Trap Card activate!" Haku announced "Battle Healer!"
Haku's face-down card activated "Now if a card effect would deal effect damage or battle damage to my opponent I'll gain that damage as Life Points!"
"Too bad you are about to lose some Life Points already!" Arcana said as his Dark Magician attacked Haku's monster destroying it while damaging Haku's Life Points. Haku stood strong enduring the damage as his Life Points dropped. Haku's Life Points: 2700
"Bad choice!" Haku said "Because when Cythonian Soldier is destroyed by Battle and sent to the Graveyard, you take the same amount of damage as I did!"
"What the?!" Arkacna asked shocked as he saw a sword coming out from beyond the Graveyard and coming at him.
The sword struck him in the right flank and he kneels as his own Life Points dropped.
Arkana's Life Points: 2700
"Now" Haku warned Arkana "Now that you've taken Effect Damage, I'll regain those Life Points I already lost!"
Haku's Life Points now were fully restored. Haku's Life Points: 4000
"Did he know Arkana was going to Summon that Dark Magician during his first turn?" Dawn asked amazed on how well Haku had played this so well.
"It's sort of a given" I answered her "Arkana claimed to be the Master of Dark Magicians so it wasn't by faith Haku knew Arkana was going to bring out Dark Magician."
"I'm amazed he pulled that off" Brock said "He knew his own monster was weaker but he allowed it's effect to deal damage to Arcana's Life Points which were the same amount then with his Continuous Trap Card Battle Healer he recovered what was lost!"
"Haku's truly an amazing Duelist" I admitted "After all he was taught by my mother when he went to Duel Academy. Plus he can even give me trouble."
Arkana frowned not realizing Haku had played him like an opened book yet "I'm not sure how you managed to pull that off but as long as I have my Dark Magician on the field you are in trouble!"
"We'll see now won't we?" Haku asked "It's my move, I draw!"
Haku drew his card then checked his hand "Problem with you Arcana is that while you did bring out an impressive monster it took at least four other cards to do that. Not good odds in the long run."
"We'll see now won't we?" Aracna demanded "You'll be going down quicker than most others would be able to!"
"Or will I?" Haku asked "I'll activate Cyber Dragon's effect from my hand! If my opponent has a monster and I don't, I can Special Summon hm onto the field without a tribute, so Cyber Dragon come on out!"
Cyber Dragon comes out ATK: 2100
"Next" Haku told Arcana "I'll summon the Freeze Resonator Tuner Monster!"
A resonator monster appeared but this one seemed to look literally completely blue with ice armor. ATK: 1000
"A Tuner Monster?" Arcana asked "No way!"
"Yes, way" Haku told him "And now I'm going to tune my Level Three Freeze Resonator that's on my field with my level 5 Cyber Dragon."
Freeze Resonator burst into three huge rings that scanned Cyber Dragon as Haku chanted out "Oh Guardian of Ice, let your rage build up a blinding blizzard with your strong wings to lend me your power. Synchro Summon Level 8: Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon"
A bright flash of light appeared and out came a new Blue-Eyes Dragon monster. It looked similar to the original Blue-Eyes White Dragon, with the same blue-eyes but it's dragon body seemed to have grown ice all around it's body as if the ice were worn as armor. The wings and tail of this Blue-Eyes White Dragon seemed to have ice sickles like spikes all around them. It glares roaring with a dangerous attack. ATK: 3000
"I wasn't aware of that Blue-Eyes White Dragon" I muttered.
"Well there was a Blue-Eyes Synchro Monster already" Hanabi admitted "But I think it was level 10. This one should be interesting."
"A blue eyes?" Arcana asked shocked at this.
"Correct" Haku told him "And it's a Synchro Monster I rarely use...But when I do use him...I'm deadly serious. This Synchro Monster was given to me from my adopted father back in the Southern Water Kingdom as a present to me for enrolling at Duel Academy...Now you're going to see what makes this Blue-Eyes Special."
"Battle!" Haku announced "Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon attack his Dark Magician with Ice Blizzard Attack!"
"I can still survive this!" Arkana warned.
"You may and I'll give you that!" Haku told him "But have you factored in this? When Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon destroys a monster by battle it freezes your monster up and allows me to set your monster into one of my Spell or Trap Card zones, and until your monster that's frozen and in my Spell and Trap Card Zone is destroyed or removed from play, Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon gains half of that monster's Original Attack points."
"What the?" Arkana asked shocked "No way!"
"I mean the words I say Rare Hunter!" Haku told him just as Haku's newest monster took aim and gathering in ice in it's mouth as if it were breathing fire then it unleashes the ice in form of a blizzard beam at Arkana's Dark Magician.
The Dark Magician gasps as it is struck and instead of exploding into pieces as Duel Monster Cards had done before, it became a frozen statue and now was in Haku's Spell and Trap Card Zone. Arcana watches in disbelief as his Life Points fell yet again. Arkana's Life Points: 2200
He then watches with horror on his face as Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon gained half of his Dark Magician's attack points. 3000-4250
"I place one card face-down then I'll end my turn Rare Hunter" Haku told Arcana "Let's see what you can do Rare Hunter."
"It's my move!" Arkana announces "I draw!"
He drew his card "I'll activate Spell Card: Card of Sancity! It'll allow us to draw until we have six cards in our hand!"
Both Haku and Arkana drew until they had six cards. Arkana looked at his hand "I'll activate Spell Card Monster Reborn to bring back a Monster in my Graveyard, allowing me to bring back my second Dark Magician!"
Another Dark Magician appeared on the field. ATK: 2500
"Next" Arcana spoke "I'll activate the Spell Card: Thousand Knives! It allows me to destroy one of your monsters and I choose to destroy your Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon."
Haku smiled "Thought you'd do that."
"WHAT?"
Haku smirked "During my stay at Duel Academy, Lady Aki, Lady Kasumi's mother had us research on past duelist during certain times as a project. I decided to research all about Marik and his Rare Hunters during the time of the first Battle City. So I pretty much know what's in your deck and I've come prepared especially against those that are like you Ackana."

"True" Haku said "But I also activate my Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon's next special ability! By removing from play one monster that was destroyed by it, I can prevent my Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon's destruction from card effect and it inflicts five hundred points of damage to you while halving the attack of one of your monsters."
"No way!" Arkana shouted not believing that Haku's Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon had two wicked effects.
"Oh yes way" Haku said as he removed Arkana's first ever Dark Magician from play which he froze earlier "Now witness my Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon's second special ability of Ice Barrier!"
Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon's attack returned to normal 4250-3000 then roared setting up a blizzard on Arcana's side of the field. It halved Arcana's Dark Magician's attack points 2500-1250 and inflicted Five hundred points of damage to Arcana's Life Points.
Arkana's Life Points: 1700
"It gets worse from hear" Haku warned Arkana "Now that you've been dealt more Life Point damage from a Card effect, my Continuous Trap Card: Battle Healer shall give me the Life Points you lost.
Haku's Life Points rose slightly 4500.
Arkana didn't like this, not one bit "I'll set two Cards face-down and end my turn"
"That's some wicked monster Haku has" Ash said to me.
"You gotta point Ash..." I said while starting to sweat nervously as even though I had beaten Haku twice in a Duel, Haku always seemed to impress me making me wonder how I beat him. Had Haku played this Blue-Eyes on me, even I would be in trouble. First of all when it destroyed a monster it froze the monster and put the monster on Haku's side of the field in his Spell and Trap Card Zone, then when a Card Effect had been activated to destroy Haku's Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon, he could remove that card from it to prevent it's destruction.
"Does that thing have a weakness?" Ash asked.
"As the great Yugi Muto once said," Aang said answering for me, he would then change his voice to his best Yami Yugi impression "No card is unbeatable! Every Card has a weakness!"
I agreed with Aang while liking Aang's impression on Yugi's voice "That's a great impression of the first ever King of Games"
"Thanks Lady Kasumi!" Aang told me "I've had many years to perfect that impression!"
"So what's it's weakness?" Ash asked.
I looked at him as I whispered it to him so Arcana wouldn't hear me "It's similar to Hanabi's Alien War Android, the Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon needs to have a monster that it destroyed in battle equipped to it."
"Plus" Toph admitted in her own whisper to Ash "It can only prevent it's destruction by Card Effect using it's effect.
"It's my move!" Haku announced "I draw!"
Haku drew his card then checked his hand "This turn should finish it"
"You can't defeat me!" Arkana said "I have two set cards!"
Haku smiled holding up a card "Oh I have the victory condition in set Arkana!"
Arkana smirked "Go ahead and attack, it will be your last mistake."
"Very well then" Haku said and it was then I knew Arcana had lost for I had a strong impression that Arcana forgot all about Haku's face-down card. Most likely a Trap Card "Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon, attack his Dark Magician with Ice Blizzard Attack!"
"Sorry to disappoint you!" Arkana shouted "I activate my Trap Card: Magical Mirror Force!"
Haku heard this and watched Arcana flip open one of his Face-down Cards "This Mirror Force Trap Card can only be activated when I have Dark Magician out on the field and my opponent declares an attack, now I get to destroy your monsters that are in attack mode and I get control of them at the end of the turn! Let's see how you like your own monster betraying you!"
Haku smirked "He's not going to betray me!"
"OH and why is that?"
Haku answered "Because I counter your Trap Card and activate my Trap Card: Trap Stun!"
"N-N-N-N-No way!" Arkana gasps now seeing that he had been beaten and beaten badly "It can't be T-T-T-Trap Stun!"
"Oh but it is" Haku said as his Face-Down Card was indeed Trap Stun "And now you know what this does but I'll explain anyway. Until the end of my turn your Trap Cards can't be activated or if they are they have their effects negated!"
"N-N-N-No way again!" Arkana shouted "I can't lose! Not when Marik the Third brought me back with a new life!"
"Too bad that life was wasted" Haku told him "Which means your Magical Mirror Force Trap Card's effect is negated and your other card, that's face-down also can't activate!"
That card I have face-down is Defense Draw Arcana thought But Trap Stun prevents me from using it! He's beaten me!
Arcana watches with horror as Haku's Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon unleashes it's attack on his Dark Magician damaging his Life Points and defeated the Rare Hunter with ease.
Arkana's Life Points: 0
Haku's Life Points: 4500
"No way!" Arkana said as he keeled "I couldn't have lost! Not again! This time badly!"
Haku looks at him "You did lose to me and you lost to me badly! Everyone here is against your Master Marik. Now you are going to tell me a hint where we can find Marik the Third."
Arkana nods knowing he had to "Alright, but it's highly unlike you'll figure it out. He's somewhere around the Shinoh Region...In a hidden castle"
"Hidden castle?" I asked Ash whom shrugged "I never heard of the Shinnoh Region having a castle in it.
"Me ether" Brock said he looks at Toph "Is he lying?"
Toph looked at Arknca whom I read his thoughts as Oh great that blind girl can tell I'M LYING!
"Toph looked at Arkana deeply and saw he wasn't lying "Sadly, he's not lying."
"Somewhere around the Shinnoh Region and in a castle?" I asked "That's not much of a help."
It is then Arkana begins to scream as a yellow eye appeared on his head "So you failed me just as you failed my father in the past!"
"Marik!" I shouted.
"Indeed" Marik the Third's voice came though Arkana's mouth "And it seems your friends have gave you my message."
"A message of hate" I told him "What has my father done to you?"
"Everything" Marik said "But this stupid fool wasn't even worth saving in the end if he lost to Haku over there!"
Haku spoke for me "Send a Rare Hunter that was around Battle City at me Marik and I know what decks they had!"
"I see you all are so serious in working to save this world" Marik said "But it won't make a difference where. So that's two Pokemon that escaped me. Next time Signer, victory won't be so easy! I'm looking forward in destroying you in our Duel with my Winged Dragon of Ra! Pleasant dreams by the way. This stupid fool wasn't worth saving so his soul shall be in the Shadow Rhelm forever now!"
Marik the Third's voice left Arkana's body and the former magician collapsed in a heap with his soul sent to the Shadow Rhelm.
"That was scary!" Dawn told me.
"It was" I admitted "So he's using the Millennium Rod to brainwash people and use them just as Haku, Hanabi and Toph reported to us."
Haku walks over to the Sneasel whom was now looking up at him with a good smile on it's face "How are you feeling?"
"Sneasel!" the Sneasel replied hugging him.
"Why" Ash said to Haku "I think you made a big impression on it!"
"Yeah!" Brock said "I believe that Sneasel wants to be with you Haku."
"Really?" Haku asked kneeling towards the Sneasel "Are you sure? I never had a pet before."
The Sneasel nods holding onto Haku's hands "Sneasel!"
Haku looks at me "What's it like having a pet?"
"It's a nice feeling" I told him "Knowing you have a living creature whom is waiting for you to play with him or her and loves being around you."
I smiled at Takara "Right Takara?"
"Vulpix!" Takara agreed.
Haku looks at the Sneasel "Well alright you can come along!"
The Sneasel nods jumping upward. I turned my attention looking around "Where we are going...I'd never know but now we have one clue."
"Indeed" Ash admitted "We've gotta continue."
"Which we will" Dawn said "But can we get out of this ghost town?"
I agreed with her "Let's do that and find some place to sit down to rest. A ghost town like this isn't some place worth sleeping in."
"You never can be too sure with Ghost Types floating around" Ash admitted agreeing with us.
So with that we headed out of the Ghost Town.

*I know the Duel between Haku and Arkana was short and one sided, but my creative mind failed me to figure out whom would be a better opponent for Haku so sadly the Master of Dark Magicians had to go down badly plus I wanted to show off Haku's latest Synchro Monster which probably would make Seto Kaiba jealous and I wanted to show off that Haku as a Duelist isn't pushover. In fact I wanted to make him one of the best Duelist Kasumi has as a friend one that could press her to her limits as a Signer. Also sorry for the delay but I was extremely busy last night so I only had the opportunity today to update Kasumi and The Avatar...Most likely that'll be the only fanfic I update this week but next week look up to Guardian Digimon Book 2 and Yugioh, Guardians of the Sakura Cards to be updated. Mostly though it will be Guardian Digimon Book 2 that's updated that week. Next chapter is Chapter 32: A New Enemy P3: It's Aang's turn to shine against Marik the Third when they come across...But how can Aang win when this Rare Hunter has powerful Insect Type Monsters that no one has seen before?

Kasumi and Haku appear ready to discuss today's cards.
Kasumi: Hello guys! It's that time again and boy are we going to be in for a real treat!
Haku: Indeed, so let's get this party started!
Kasumi pulls the lever: Let's see how many cards we'll be talking about today!

Haku: Man...Only two?
Kasumi sighs: Sometimes days seem to go against us. Anyway these three cards are made up so don't go looking for them anywhere as they don't exsist.
Haku: The first Card of the Chapter is
Battle Healer
Type: Continuous Trap
Effect: If you activate a card effect which causes Effect Damage to your Opponent's Life Points, increase your Life Points by the same amount of damage inflicted by the Card Effect.
Haku blushes: That came in handy against Arcana.
Kasumi: You bet it did, took me by surprise!
Haku: The second Card of the Chapter is
Freeze Resonator
Level: Three
Type: Fiend/Tuner/Effect
Attribute: WATER
ATK: 1000, DEF: 500
Effect: This Monster can't be destroyed by Battle and if it is attacked by an opponent's monster, automatically destroy that monster at the end of the Damage Step.
Kasumi: That's one interesting Tuner Monster.
Haku: Indeed!
Kasumi: You seem to favor cards that do something to your opponents to shut them down or make them feel as if they can't win.
Haku: I just love Monsters with terrifying effects. My deck doesn't follow through most paturns, I go with heavy monster effects, Spells or Trap Cards to inflict damage to my opponent. Squeeze the Life Points out of them as they say, make them feel uneasy about dueling against me.
Kasumi: So that's your strategy! It's not a bad one.Anyway the last Card of the Chapter is.
Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon

Type: Dragon/Synchro/Effect
Attribute: WATER
ATK: 3000, DEF: 2500
Requirements: "Freeze Resonator","1 or more Non-Tuner Monsters."
Effect: When this Card destroys an opponent's Monster by Battle, that destroyed monster becomes an equip Spell Card attached to this card in your Spell and Trap Card Zone, while the monster remains attached this card increases it's attack by half of the monster's Original Attack Points. Once per turn if this Card would be destroyed by a Card Effect you may Remove from play one Monster Attached to this Card to negate this Card's destruction and inflict five hundred points of damage to your opponent's Life Points and half the attack of one of your opponent's Monsters.
Kasumi looks at Haku: Boy Haku! Can you be even more scary?
Haku looks at her: What do you mean?
Kasumi sighs: That Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon could give me problems! Why didn't you use it on me in our two Duels we had against each other?
Haku blushes: Mostly because I didn't have Freeze Resonator. Plus I only bring Blue-Eyes Ice Dragon out when it's really needed, and against Arcana, I felt as if I really needed it.
Kasumi: Point taken I guess, but point is if you used that card.
Haku nods: It's one powerful monster that's for sure...Maybe in the future I'll use it again.
