Chapter 34: A New Enemy P5
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or Avatar the Last Air Bender, or Hades whom is Disney's version of him. I do own Kasumi along with most of her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters and the four Titan Cards.
Okay, things weren't exactly going my way. Right now I was in a middle of an intense Duel against Lance the Champion of the Jotho League, a Dragon Master. He wasn't only a Trainer but he was a duelist. I knew that if I had battled him, I most likely would've lost the Pokemon Battle, so that was my reasoning to Duel him. My chances in dueling the Dragon Master and beating him was even. Right now though things weren't looking good. Let's bring you back to pace on my side of the field, I had 4100 Life Points, I had Cleric Mist on the field in defense mode DEF: 500, then I had a face-down card which was Scrap-Iron Scarecrow. Normally this would be a good set-up however on other side was Lance's Life Points which were 3800. He had two monsters on the field which were Red-Eyes Black Dragon with 2400 ATK, and Dragon Lord Griatharth with 4000 ATK. I had no fears in taking on the Red-Eyes Black Dragon as much but taking out Dragon Lord Griatharth was going to be a BIG problem, first of all on Lance's turn, once per turn his Synchro Monster could Special Summon one Dragon Type Monster in his Graveyard which was how he got his Red-Eyes Black Dragon back on the field. For each Dragon the Synchro Monster Special Summons it gets one thousand more Attack Points. Then to top it all off, it there was one other Dragon Type Monster on the field, Dragon Lord Griartharth like an Ancient Gear Monster could prevent opponents from playing their Spell or Trap Cards. All in all, Lance had a clever second turn and now it was my turn again. I had just drawn and now had entered my Stand-by Phase "When Cleric Mist is out on the field every stand by phase, she increases my Life Points by five hundred!"
Cleric Mist raised her hand and sent a healing spell at me increasing my Life Points a bit. My Life Points: 4600. Let's be clear I needed every Life Point I could have in order to survive Dragon Lord Griartharth's effect.
I checked out my hand now having only four cards in it and I saw a play and went for it "I summon my Swordmaster Mia to the field."
Swordmaster Mia appeared on the field ATK: 1800
"Next" I told Lance "I activate Spell Card: Double Summon!, to allow me to summon another monster!"
I then choose the next monster "So here it comes my Hyper Synchron Tuner Monster!"
Hyper Synchron appeared on the field ATK: 1600
"Next" I told Lance "I'm going to tune my Level four Hyper Synchron with my Level four Swordmaster Mia!"
Hyper Synchron Split into four rings as it scanned Swordmaster Mia while I chanted out "Born by blood and loyalty to the Crimson Dragon...The Light Shines for the Truth...For Justice...Synchro Summon...OLYMPIAN DRAGON!"
"ALRIGHT!" Toph said excitably as she felt a flash of light explode "Lady Kasumi's Ace!"
Olympian Dragon appeared on the field in a flash of light ATK: 2600
"When Hyper Synchron is used to Synchro Summon a Dragon Type Synchro Monster" I told Lance "That Dragon Type Monster gains eight hundred more attack points!"
Olympian Dragon attack points rose 2600-3400
"Battle!" I announced "Olympian Dragon attack Red-Eyes Black Dragon with Olympus Lightning!"
Olmypian Dragon roared gathering in lightning then it shot out the lightning at Lance's Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
I then spoke Olympian Dragon's effect "When Olympian Dragon attacks a monster, as long as her attack points are higher she automatically destroys that monster and inflicts battle damage regardless of position of the monster!"
Lance watches mystified as Olympian Dragon's lightning struck his Red-Eyes Black Dragon annihilating it on the spot and his Life Points are hit. Lance's Life Points: 2800
Lance and I then noticed Dragon Lord Griatharth's attack points turned to normal 4000-3000. I knew why but Lance explained anyway "In order for Dragon Lord Griatharth to keep it's attack points, the special summoned monster must stay out on the field."
"Turn end" I told him knowing that Olympian Dragon was going to save me in this duel. Now I had the upper hand. I studied the field thinking Even if Lance activates Dragon Lord Griartharth's ability again which he will no doubt. Olympian Dragon unlike Lightning Mage Ilyana, will withstand it's attack and not be destroyed in battle. I'll take damage for sure but he won't be able to destroy my ace monster. I'll need her to win this duel.
"Impressive Dragon" Lance told me "So you're the one with the great Olympian Dragon...I've been wanting to handle her. It's my move, I draw!"
He drew his card "I'll activate Dragon Lord Griatharth's special ability! Once per turn I can Special Summon one Dragon Type Monster from my Graveyard, so come on out...Red-Eyes Black Dragon!"
The Red-Eyes Black Dragon reappeared on the field ATK: 2400
This time I wasn't worried even as Griartharth's attack points rose. 3000-4000
"Battle!" Lance ordered "Dragon Lord Griartharth attack Olympian Dragon with Dragon's Fury!"
"Olympian Dragon's second special ability!" I told him "Prevents her from being destroyed by battle!"
Olympian Dragon took the attack head on and withstood it Lance just smirked "She might not be destroyed but you'll still take the damage!"
He was right as the blast went right through Olympian Dragon and struck me. The damage caused me to scream in pain a bit but it wasn't as major as it was with Illyana. My Life Points: 4000
"Since you're Silencer wore off" Lance warned me "I'll set one card face-down and end my turn."
"It's my move!" I announced "I draw!"
I drew my card but he spoke "I activate Trap Card: Thunder of Ruler!"
A mighty crash of thunder sounded as Lance spoke "Now when I activate this Trap Card during your Battle Phase, you can't attack me this turn!"
"That's fine" I told him looking at my card "But thanks to Cleric Mist I'll recover five hundred of my Life Points and then end my turn."
My Life Points increased by five hundred. My Life Points: 4500
"It's my move" Lance told me, "I draw!"
He drew his card "I activate the Spell Card: Molten Fireball! It allows me to select my Red-Eyes Black Dragon and inflict damage to you equal to my monster's attack!"
I watched as Red-Eyes Black Dragon roared and unleashed a powerful fireball at me. It strikes me head on and I felt it burning me as it burnt away my Life Points.
My Life Points: 2100
"Are you okay Lady Signer?" Toph asked me.
"I will be once I win" I told Toph still feeling a bit roasted.
"Next" Lance spoke "I'll activate Dragon Lord Griartharth's special ability-"
"No you won't! I activate the effect of Effect Valor from my hand" I told him discarding the monster I had just drawn on my turn before.
"What then that means?" Lance asked.
I nodded "Indeed, with Effect Valor sent to the Graveyard, I can negate your monster's effects until the end of the turn!"
"Then I shall make your Life Points lower! Dragon Lord Griartharth attack Olympian Dragon!"
The Dragon Lord took aim and fired at her but I was ready "I activate my Trap Card: Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!"
Lance watches as thanks to his Dragon's abilities being negated I was able to counter his attack that time.
"I throw one card face down and end my turn" Lance told me.
"It's my move!" I announced "I draw!"
I point to my Cleric as to announce that her effect was coming up. Cleric Mist raised her staff and healed my Life Points a bit. My Life Points: 2600
I drew my card "I'll activate my Spell Card: Fallen Comrads!"
Ghostly images of my monsters in my Graveyard appeared as I spoke it's effect "With this card played, I can now draw one card for each Monster in my Graveyard!"
With that in mind I was able to draw four new cards. I checked my new hand "Sweet! I'm about to take out your Synchro Monster this turn Lance."
"How is that?" He asked me.
I answered "I summon Black Wing Bora the Spear!"
Black Wing Bora the Spear appeared on the field ATK: 1700
I gave out a smile at Lance "When I have another Blackwing Monster other than another Bora the Spear when I summon Bora the Spear, I can special summon it! So come on out Black Wing Gale the Whirlwind!"
Black Wing Gale The Whirlwind appeared on the field ATK: 1300
"Rats!" Lance spoke.
I then smiled "That's right! I'll activate Gale the Whirlwind's special ability! Once per turn I can half the attack points of one monster on the field and I choose your Dragon Lord Griartharth!"
Lance watches as his monster had it's attack points halved "Rats!" 4000-2000
"Next" I told him "I'm going to tune my Level 3 Black Wing Gale the Whirlwind with my Level four Bora the Spear! In order to Synchro Summon...Black Wing Armor Master!"
Black Wing Armor Master appeared on the field ATK: 2500
I gave it a small smile as this was a card Uncle Crow had given me on my ten birthday. Uncle Crow was the Uncle I liked the most so when it came to editing my deck I was glad to keep it. I knew how important it could be to my team.
"Battle!" I announced "Olympian Dragon attack Dragon Lord Girartharth, Olympian Purge!"
Olympian Dragon roared and shot out lightning at Dragon Lord Girartharth, but Lance was waiting for it "I activate my Continuous Trap Card: Protective Dragon Subjects!"
His face-down card activated and Lance explained "I can only activate this Card when Dragon Lord Girartharth is on my side of the field! This card switches my monster into defense mode!"
I watched as Dragon Lord Girartharth switched into defense mode DEF: 2800. "Big deal! Don't you remember Olympian Dragon automatically destroys that target and inflicts any sort of battle damage!"
"It's a very big deal!" Lance told me "Because there is more to my Trap Card, you see now if I have another Dragon Type Monster out on the field by sending it to the Graveyard, I can Negate your attack!"
I watched as Red-Eyes Black Dragon rushed to intercept Olympian Dragon's attack tanking it and it negated my monster's attack.
"My Monster is going to stay!" Lance warned me.
I just gave out a grin just as my father would've as instead of being mad at this he sort of fell for a trap of my own unknowingly "Then I'll attack your Dragon Lord Girartharth with Black Wing Armor Master!"
"I'm afraid my Dragon Lord has more defense points!" Lance told me.
"True" I admitted "But with Black Wing Armor Master, more attack or defense points on my opponent's Monster's don't matter as when he attacks I don't receive any damage! If he doesn't destroy your monster he leaves a Wedge Counter in your Monster!"
I gave a smile to Black Wing Armor Master "Go for it! Black Hurricane!"
Black Wing Armor Master flew towards Lance's monster fist engraved in darkness as it came towards Dragon Lord Girartharth landing a Wedge Counter on it.
"Turn end" I said confident Lance didn't know about the sinister effect of a Wedge Counter in his Synchro Monster.
"It's my move!" Lance told me "I draw!"
He drew his card "I'll activate my Dragon Lord Girartharth's ability to bring back my Red-Eyes Black Dragon!"
Red-Eyes Black Dragon appeared on the field ATK: 2400
"Next" Lance told me "I'll Summon White Stone of Legend!"
White Stone of Legend appeared on the field ATK: 0
"Next" Lance told me "I'll use White Stone of Legend's effect to send it to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
A Blue-Eyes White Dragon appeared on the field ATK: 3000
"A Red-Eyes and a Blue-Eyes?" Toph inquired "Man, this guy is good."
"Next" Lance told me "I'll activate the Spell Card: Polymerization!"
"Fusion?" I inquired.
"That's right!" Lance told me "And with it I'll fuse my Blue-Eyes White Dragon with the Red-Eyes Black Dragon on the field to Fusion Summon"
Lance began to chant as the Fusion was being done "Dragon of Blue-Eyes, Dragon of Red-Eyes join forces together to become one mighty foe. Roar...Fusion Summon Level 8...Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes Split Dragon!
A new Fusion Monster appeared on the field. It had two heads like a twin headed dragon would, but one of it's head was black with Red-Eyes, then the other head was White with Blue eyes, and it's color scheme was easily divided up and down it's body, like it's heads, one side was white, and the other was black. ATK: 3500.
"My new Fusion Monster" Lance warned me "Works well with my deck especially with Dragon Lord Girartharth. You see Kasumi once per turn, Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes Split Dragon allows me to to restore all of my monster's attack points back to normal."
I watched as Dragon Lord Girartharth's attack strength went back to normal 3000
"Now" Lance told me "Red-Eyes, Split Dragon shall attack your Olympian Dragon oh and I'll say this when Red-Eyes, White Eyes Split Dragon attacks he can attack twice in one Battle Phase gaining the difference as attack damage while reducing an opponent's monster's attack point by the same amount. So go my Blue-Eyes, White-Eyes Split Dragon Attack with White Lightning Attack!"
Out of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's head it fired out a blast of white light at my monster but I was waiting for it "I activate the effect of Swift Scarecrow! By discarding it from my hand to the Graveyard, I can negate your attack and end your Battle Phase!"
Lance watches as another scarecrow monster appeared intercepting his monster's attack and ending his Battle Phase "Lucky break!"
Toph sighes "That was close Lady Kasumi!"
"Tell me about it" I muttered looking at the field "He has two level 8 Monsters."
Lance smiled "Don't you see this isn't a battle you can win!"
"You're Dragon Lord is about to be dusted" I told him "Plus I won't give up! As long as I have my Olympian Dragon, you are finished."
"That's too be seen!" Lance told me "I place one Card face-down and end my turn."
I won't lie, this Duel was exciting! Lance was pulling out new cards, some of which I've never seen before, honestly I was glad to see that they finally came up with a Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes Fusion Monster. I was studying the scene trying to see what I could do as I knew this was going to take a while to overcome. I was hoping Ash, and Brock were having better luck than I was.
Ash's POV
I was running with Aang, and Brock at my side. Deep down my friends May, Max, and Misty needed saving. In order to do that we had to get past two Rare Hunters that were hot on our trail. Deep down I knew that Lady Kasumi was handling Lance and honestly hoping she was doing well against him. I wanted to see her Duel once but I guess that was when we would run into Marik the Third. From behind us Pikachu was being chased by Gary and Sabrina. As we were running, Brock took the time to read a map seeing it was pretty far away from the middle where we departed to let Haku, Hanabi and Dawn get to my friends. Brock stopped "This should be it Ash! This is where we'll make our stand."
"Sounds right!" I said.
Aang agreed as we stopped and Pikachu jumps into my hands followed by Gary and Sabrina whom stopped. I looked at Gary Oak and Sabrina. Both of them were looking at me, Aang and Brock.
"Gary" I said.
"Ash?" Gary asked me "So it was you that attacked us."
"Stop playing us Marik!" Aang told Gary "We know you brainwashed these two."
Almost immediately Marik's voice does come from Gary "So...You three aren't as dumb as I thought."
"Even Lady Kasumi had a feeling you were behind this" Aang told him "You and your brainwashing days are over!"
I agreed "Once we free Gary and Sabrina from your control we'll stop you!"
"That's to be seen...Even now your Signer friend is struggling against Lance."
Aang didn't falter "I know Lady Kasumi personally, and like me no matter how hard her opponent is, she'll always find a way to win when the world is at stake!"
"You must find her faithful Avatar, but in the end she'll fail you."
"Doubt it" I told him "She doesn't seem to be a person to fail anyone when as Aang said the world is at stake."
"Then when I get her soul you'll be in for a shock" Marik the Third told the three of us "But for now you'll have a battle with these two Mind Slaves!"
"You bet we will!" Brock said.
Then Marik left Gary and my rival pulls out a Pokeball "Come on out Umbreon!"
Gary's Unbreon appeared "Umbreon!"
"Kadabra go!" Sabrina ordered throwing her Pokeball out, out of it came her Kababra which I must admit I never defeated downright as it shouted "Kadabra!"
I turned to Pikachu "Ready Pikachu?"
"Pika!" Pikachu replied.
I then nodded "Pikachu, I choose you!"
Pikachu ran out onto the field electric sparks were flying from his cheeks.
"Go, Crogunk!" Brock announced throwing his Pokeball out.
Out of Brock's Pokeball his Crogunk appeared "Crogunk!"
Aang was watching from afar with his Doudo watching at his side "Well it's up to you two for now."
I nodded "Alright Pikachu use Thunderbolt on Kadabra let's go"
Pikachu nodded rushing upward sparks flying and shouted "PPPIIIKKKAAACCCHHHUUU!"
He unleashed his Thunderbolt directly at Kadabra which Sabrina countered "Kadabra, Confusion!"
Just as Pikachu's attack was about to hit Sabrina's Kadabra, I saw it's eyes glowing blue as it caught the Thunderbolt attack then while looking directly at Pikachu shot the attack back at him "Dodge it!" I ordered.
Pikachu managed to dodge the attack but barely.
"Use Confuse Ray Umbreon on Crogunk!" Gary ordered.
Gary's Umbreon nodded then unleashed it's Confuse Ray at Brock's Crogunk confusing it.
"Crogunk!" Brock shouted at his Pokemon "Try using Brick Break!"
Amazingly even when it was confused, Crogunk managed to bring it's fist onto Umbreon's back causing Gary's Umbreon pain.
"Umbreon!" Gary shouted seeing his Pokemon in pain "Use Moonlight!"
Despite being injured Gary's Umbreon managed to use Moonlight and heal itself.
Sabrina saw her chance on Brock's Crogunk "Use Psychic Kadabra on Crogunk!"
"Not so fast!" I shouted "Pikachu divert it's attention back to you, use Quick Attack!"
Pikachu nodded running as fast as he could towards Kadabra, so fast it was that it easily caught Kadabra's eyes causing it to lose it's focus as Pikachu slammed his head into it. Now instead of Crogunk taking the attack Kadabra's eyes focused on Pikachu that it used Psychic on Pikachu picking him up and flinging him towards Brock's Crogunk taking both of them down. They were down but they weren't out!
"Umbreon!" Gary ordered "Dark Pulse!"
"Kadabra, use Psychic again but on that Dark Pulse to make it hit both of them!" Sabrina ordered.
Gary's Umbreon focused in and unleashed it's Dark Pulse attack while Sabrina's Kadabra used it's Psychic attack to make the Dark Pulse big enough that it would hit both our Pokemon, and Brock saw his chance "Crogunk, Leap in front and use Detect!"
Crokunk nodded leaping in front of Pikachu then it we'ved in and out of the attack's path skillfully dodging the attack and I saw an opening seeing both Sabrina and Gary looking puzzled. Seeing my chance I ordered Pikachu "Quick Pikachu use Iron Tail on Umbreon!"
Pikachu nodded "PIKA!" I saw his tail glowing with steel then it slammed it into Umbreon's head causing it to go flying on top of Kadabra.
"Good move!" Aang told us.
"Now Pikachu!" I ordered "Use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu nodded then shouted "PPPIIIKKKAAACCCHHHUUU!"
Once again he unleashed his Thunderbolt this time he'd strike both Umbreon and Kadabra. Both Pokemon were shocked and kneeling. Gary saw his chance "Umbreon, use Moonlight!" Sabrina was next "Recover Kadabra!"
"Not so fast!" I said "Pikachu use Volt Tackle before those two get to recover!"
Pikachu nods running as fast as he could towards them but Sabrina had one new trick up her sleeve. She must've because she didn't have to issue out a command instead all I knew what happened next was Kadabra took hold of Gary's Umbreon then teleported a safe distance away so the two Pokemon could recover using ether Recover or Moonlight, and Pikachu missed the targets.
"What the?" I asked.
"Umbreon!" Gary announced "Use Double Team!"
"Lend Umbreon some help and use Psychic on Double Team!" Sabrina ordered.
Kadabra nodded unleashing Psychic just as Umbreon starts making copies of itself. Not only did it make copies of itself, but it also created Kadabra copies too and now they all surrounded Crokunk and my Pikachu.
"Now!" Gary ordered "Umbreon, use Dark Pulse!"
"Psychic Kadabra!" Sabrina ordered.
Before Pikachu and Crocunk could react or figure out which was the real one, both Pokemon are struck by the attacks although Pikachu made sure to get hit by Psychic while Crogunk got hit by Dark Pulse. This sent the two Pokemon flying backwards injured.
"Pikachu!" I shouted to him "are you alright?"
Pikachu landed on his back but he nods getting right back up "PIKA!"
"Are you okay as well Crogunk?" Brock asked his Pokemon.
Crokung nods getting up "Great!"
Aang was watching this wondering how we'd get past this. I knew if we could beat Sabrina and free her if we knocked out her Kadabra and wondered if we could get past both of them. Sabrina and Gary were going to be hard opponents as their Pokemon were literally tanks and using their attacks to cover the other. I grit my teeth knowing that as I was quickly formatting a plan. Brock was with me also thinking of what to do but I managed to think of something "I got it!"
"What do you have in mind Ash?" Brock asked.
I turned to him "It seems they can use their attacks as cover, so if they can why can't we?"
"You have a plan?" he asked me.
I nodded "Yes, follow my lead!"
"Will do!" Brock admitted.
"You two can't win this!" Gary told me "And you were always the loser Ash!"
"We can win this" I told him "And we will! Come on you two give us your best shot!"
"We shall" Gary told me "Umbreon, use Double Team!"
"Use Psychic on Umbreon's Double Team to help it make copies of you!" Sabrina ordered her Kadabra.
Just like their previous move Umbreon sets up a Double Team surrounding our Pokemon with copies of itself and Kadabra as Kadabra used Psychic to make Umbreon's Double Team feature it's copies as well. Then Gary ordered "Now use Dark Pulse!" "Psychic Attack Kadabra on Dark Pulse!" Sabrina ordered.
I saw all the copies of Umbreon and Kadabra focusing in Dark Pulse, and saw my chance "Pikachu now, jump up, spin, then use Thunderbolt!"
Brock knew what I was building up "Oh right, the Counter-shield that you used to beat Fabina, the Ghost type Gym Leader of Shinnoh!"
I gave him a nod "You bet!"
Pikachu nodded jumping up, spun around shouting "PPPIIIKKKAAACCCHHHUUU!"
As he is spinning his currents of electricity not only stopped the huge Dark Pulse attack coming at him by shredding it but it also struck all of the copies and the real Umbreon and Kadabra, it was as if Pikachu had used Discharge minus hitting Brock's Crogunk with it. The Counter-Shield worked as plan not only did Pikachu damage both Umbreon and Kadabra but it also Paralyzed them!"
It seemed that both Umbreon and Kadabra had the same ability as they tried to pass on the status condition to Pikachu but couldn't due to Pikachu being an Electric Type.
"Nice call Ash!" Brock announced "Crogunk, Brick Break on Umbreon!"
"Pikachu, Iron Tail on Kadabra!" I ordered.
Pikachu and Crogunk nodded and came at both Umbreon and Kadabra, Crogunk hit Umbreon with a mighty fine fist in it's head as Pikachu successfully landed an Iron Tail to Kadabra's face. Both go flying injured.
"Rats!" Gary shouted "Umbreon Moonlight!"
"Kadabra!" Sabrina ordered "Recover!"
The two Pokemon try but are stopped could.
"They are completely paralyzed!" Aang told us "Now's your chance to finish them off!"
Brock nodded "You got it!"
"Pikachu!" I shouted "Volt Tackle!"
Pikachu ran forward "Pika,pika,pika,pika,pika, PIKA!"
As Pikachu is running forward he gains electricity around his body and slams himself right into the middle of both Kadabra and Umbreon, then there was a big explosion of electricity as the attack connected then ended. When the light show ended both Umbreon and Kadabra were knocked out fainted with swirls in their eyes.
"That did it!" I shouted.
Surprisingly not only did Brock and I win the Pokemon Battle against Gary and Sabrina but right at the moment both Rare Hunters were down on the ground also unconscious.
"Rats!" I said running towards Gary "Aang, are their souls sent to the Shadow Rhelm?"
"I didn't hear Marik's voice coming from them as they lost yet" Aang reported.
He spoke a little too soon as Marik the Third's voice came from Gary "Stupid worthless Mind Slave! I told you to get your best Pokemon Electrivile...But yet you allowed your grandfather to borrow it while you were away on a business trip!"
"Gary's not stupid!" I told him.
Marik was now looking at me "Umbreon is just as part of Gary's team as Electricvire is! Maybe he wanted to spend more time with Umbreon because I must admit it's been a while before I ever seen it in action."
"No one's worthless or stupid" Aang told him "Everyone has their reasons and should be free! Now release them and not to the Shadow Rhelm!"
Marik the Third's voice chuckled evilly "Too bad I control the Millennium Rod! With it I can do whatever I want due to you not being in a Duel! So I'll banish your Rival and Sabrina's souls to the Shadow Rhelm as well as their Pokemon!"
Brock's Crogunk actually thought fast for once and with it's hand glowing purple managed to use Poison Jab on Gary and Sabrina causing the two Rare Hunters to go down.
"What was that for Crogunk?" Brock said towards his Crogunk "Now you might've hurt them badly!"
It is then Marik the Third's voice gasped "What the? Don't tell me that Crogunk's Poison Jab canceled out my Millennium Rod's effect."
Aang looked Gary Oak "What happened?"
Marik the Third's voice growls "It seems that Poison Jab of Crogunk's canceled out the Millennium Rod's power...So I can't banish those four souls to the Shadow Rhelm! You got lucky and now my forces draw near your friends, Max, May and Misty. Next time I shall fix this mistakes...Farwell till next time!"
Then there was silence as Brock turned to Crogunk "Well not sure what you did but you just save Gary, Sabrina and their Pokemon's souls from going to the Shadow Rhelm!"
Crogunk nods as Aang looks at Gary, and Sabrina "Should we wait till they recover?"
"I think it's best we do" Brock admitted "They might be able to help us find out where Marik is hiding."
"Let's bring them with us then" I suggested taking Gary's arm and with his Pokeball managed to recall his Umbreon.
Brock took Sabrina and had her recall her Kadabra then took her with him as we walked back down the path. We did our part in handling the Rare Hunters, now it was all up to Kasumi.
Kasumi's POV
Toph was watching the Duel with interest. She looked back and forward letting her words describe the Duel "Hmm, now let's see on Lance's side he's got Dragon Lord Griartharth on the field with a new Fusion Monster Blue-Eyes, Red Eyes Split Dragon. On Lady Kasumi's side she has her ace Olympian Dragon, and Black-Wing Armor Master. Things are looking interesting!"
I had to admit she was right. This Duel was a very tough Duel. During Lance's previous two turns I had managed to thwart his attacks thanks to Effect Valor in one of them then using Swift Scarecrow in the next. Now it was my move again "It's my move!" I announced "I draw!"
I drew my card then spoke "When Cleric Mist is on the field during my Standby Phase she increases my Life Points by five hundred!"
My Life Points increase a bit. My Life Points: 3100
I then checked out my hand "I'll activate Spell Card: Vengeful Hero!"
On the card it had the Fire Emblem Princess Lucina on it staring at the ruins of her castle while a time portal was opened behind her that would lead to the past "And with my Spell Card, I'm allowed to Special Summon one Level Four or below Warrior Type Monster from my Graveyard, then I get to draw two cards...So I'll bring back my Sword Master Mia!"
Swordmaster Mia appears on the field ATK: 1800
"Next" I said as I drew my two cards after Special Summoning her "I'll Summon my Heroin Leanne Tuner Monster!"
"Nice!" Toph said.
"Now" I told Lance "I'm going to tune my Level two Heroin Leanne, with my Level four Swordmaster Mia!"
Heroin Leanne split into two rings as she scanned my Swordmaster. I gripped my hands chanting out "Born my Blood by the Crimson Dragon, the Light shines for the truth...For Justice...Synchro Summon...Michiah Maiden of Dawn!"
"That's just what the doctor ordered!" Toph announced seeing Michiah come out onto the field ATK: 2400
I then spoke to Lance "When Michiah Maiden of Dawn is summoned onto the field, all monsters on the field including herself gain five hundred extra attack points!"
I watched as a ray of light shines on the field and all monsters on my side of the field gained attack points but only my three Synchro Monsters shown their attack points due to Cleric Mist still being in defense mode. 2400-2900, 2500-3000, 3400-3900
"Next" I said confident in my play that would defeat my opponent once and for all "Olympian Dragon shall attack your Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes Split Dragon with Olympian Lightning!"
Olympian Dragon roars out banging it's claws together and unleashed it's lightning at Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes Split Dragon. The Dragon roars and Lance takes damage.
Lance's Life Points: 2400
"So much for your Fusion Monster!" Toph taunted.
"There's more to my Fusion Monster than meets the eye!" Lance warned her "When Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes Split Dragon is destroyed I can special summon his Fusion Material Monsters back onto the field!"
I watched as Red-Eyes Black Dragon appeared on the field ATK: 2400, then shortly afterwards the Blue-Eyes White Dragon appeared on the field. Lance then smiled "For each one brought back you take one thousand points of damage!"
I watched as light and darkness swarmed onto me dealing two thousand points of damage to me as I grit my teeth and I was on my knees as that really hurt "Now...That hurt!"
My Life Points: 1100
"Now" I said "Michiah Maiden of Dawn shall attack your Dragon Lord Griartharth!"
Lance smirked "You've lost it Lady Signer! Michiah doesn't have the attack points needed to take my Dragon Lord down!"
I just gave out a grin, "Oh I know what I'm doing, you seem to forget about my Black Wing Armor Master's Wedge counter, by removing it, I can make your monster have zero attack points!"
"WHAT?" Lance demanded.
I just gave out a grin "Watch and learn!"
I snapped my fingers and removed the Wedge counter which reduced Dragon Lord Griartharth's attack strength to zero. 3000-0
"I activate the effect of my Protective Dragon Subject's Trap Card!" Lance shouted "By offering up one other Dragon Type Monster my Dragon Lord Griartharth switches into defense mode and you're monster has it's attach negated."
His Dragon Lord switched into defense mode DEF: 2800
He choose to discard his Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Michiah's attack was negated.
"Not bad" I told him with a smile "But thanks to Heroni Leanne being used for a Synchro Monster, Michiah can attack twice during the Battle Phase so I'll attack with Michiah again on the Dragon Lord with Thani!"
Michiah attacked again but Lance held firm "I activate Protective Dragon Subjects again! Now I offer up my Blue-Eyes White Dragon to negate her attack."
I watched this "Then here comes Black-Wing Armor Master!" I shouted "Go Black-Wing Armor Master attack Dragon Lord Griartharth with Black Hurricane!"
This time my last Synchro Monster hit and destroyed Lance's monster but due to it being in defense mode Lance didn't take any Battle Damage.
Lance then spoke "I activate Trap Card, Dragon Illusion!"
I watched as Lance's Trap Card activated and he explained the effect "I can activate this Trap Card when all monsters on my side of the field are ether destroyed by battle or sent to the field to the Graveyard during your Battle Phase, now I get to bring back all monsters that were destroyed by battle!"
He smiled "So, now I'll bring back my Dragon Lord Griartharth and Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes Split Dragon!"
I gave out a low growl "Just when I destroyed them all..." ATK: 3000, 3500
"Face it Signer" Lance told me "My Dragons aren't going anywhere, next turn if you destroy my Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes Split Dragon you are finished!"
I checked my hand "We shall see won't we? I set one card face-down and end my turn!"
"It's my move!" Lance told me "I draw!"
He drew his card then smiled "I activate Quick-Play Spell Card: Dragon Fusion!"
A new Spell Card was played and Lance explained it's effect "With this Quick-play Spell Card, By removing from play from my Graveyard or field required cards, I can fusion summon another Dragon Type Monster...So I'll remove from play, White Stone of Legend, Black Stone of Legend, Dragon Wizard, Manga Drago, and my Blue-Eyes, White-Eyes Split Dragon in order to Fusion Summon Five-Headed Dragon!"
"Oh great" I muttered seeing this monster ATK: 5000
"Dragon Fusion also doubles my monster's attack strength!" Lance told me.
I gasped "A Dragon version of Power Bind?"
"Indeed" Lance told me "But without the penalty of me taking damage"
Toph nearly wet herself feeling Lance's monster gain more attack strength 5000-10,000
"That's a whole lot of monster!" Toph said.
"It's over Lady Kasumi" Lance told me "There isn't any monster that can save you against my ultimate monster! So but just so you can't use your Scrap-Iron Scarecrow Trap Card, I'll activate my Spell Card: Stamping Destruction!"
He eyes me "Now I get to destroy one Card if I have a Dragon Type Monster on the field so I choose to destroy your Scrap-Iron Scarecrow, this card also inflicts five hundred points of damage to you!"
A foot from a Dragon came down catching me in the back and destroying my Scrap-Iron Scarecrow while dealing damage to me. My Life Points: 600
"Now" Lance told me "Time for battle!"
He points at Olympian Dragon "Time for your Ace to feel my wrath! Five Star Headed Dragon attack Olympian Dragon and end this Duel!"
I spoke "I activate my Trap Card: Maiden's Light!"
A Trap Card was played featuring Michiah with the sun coming up behind her as if she was an angel. I then explained the effect "I can only activate this Trap Card when my opponent declares an attack that would finish me and when Michiah Maiden of Dawn is on the field. This card allows me to survive the attack by one Life Point left!"
Five-Headed Dragon attacked my Olympian Dragon but she withstood it and my Trap Card which was basically a barrier of light protected me from losing. By the time the damage washed over me I was really hurt. I was panting hurt really badly as my Life Points fell.
My Life Points: 1
"Again you survived that" Lance told me "But it's the end for you, there is no way you can beat me!"
I get up weakly onto all fours "You forget about Black-Wing Armor Master"
Lance smirked "A Dragon Type Monster fusion summoned by Dragon Fusion is unaffected by card effects."
"Oh" I muttered as I get onto my two feet "But still as long as I have Life Points left I can win this!"
I checked my deck "It's my move, I draw!"
I drew my card and felt a jolt of lightning. I looked at what I had drawn, it was...MY TITAN CARD!
I still remembered it's power from the time Orochimaru used it on me. The Titan's power scared me and I didn't want to use it. However I knew if I didn't as my hand was empty. I had to do it otherwise I was defeated. I then point to Cleric Mist "First I'll collect my Five Hundred Life Points!"
Mist increased my Life Points but at this point if I didn't defeat Lance in this turn, I was gone My Life Points: 501
"Won't save you" Lance taunted me.
"I know that!" I told him "But I activate Michiah Maiden of Dawn's Special ability! By halving her attack points until the end of the turn, I can bring back one monster from my Graveyard, and I choose my Lightning Mage Illyana!"
Lightning Mage Illyana appeared on the field ATK: 1300
"Even with her you can't beat me!" Lance told me.
"True" I admitted "Right now you can't...However I have one card that can win this duel! And I have the monsters needed for it!"
I raised the card in my hand high as Lance must've now knew what it was "Please no way you couldn't have drawn it!"
"And I have!" I told him "I tribute Olympian Dragon, Michiah Maiden of Dawn, and Thunder Mage Illyana in order to Tribute Summon...Boltose, the Lightning Titan!"
The gates of Tardis appeared and then broke apart unleashing powerful god like energy into the air. There was crack of thunder, lightning fell from the sky, then a thunder cloud appeared firing one huge lightning bolt which took shape into a big, big Titan monster in shape of a Lightning Bolt. ATK: ?
"That's Boltose!" Lance shouted "A Titan Card! But what's wrong with it's attack?"
I looked at him "One of Boltose's effects is that it must be Tribute Summoned by three LIGHT Attribute Monsters...After doing so it's attack points is the total number of my monster's original attack points that was summoned by!"
Lance watches as with that math my monster had a whole lot of attack points. ?-6300
"And were not done yet" I warned him "Not only does Boltose gain the attack points of all my monsters used to Tribute Summon him, but if they were effect monsters, he gains their effects!"
"ALL OF THEM?" Lance asked.
I nodded "Exactly! So remember Michiah Maiden of Dawn's effect is it gives all monsters on my side of the field five hundred more attack points? Well Boltose the Lightning Titan Can do that!"
He watches as Boltose's attack points rose 6300-6800 "No way!"
"Oh yes way" I told him "Plus he has Olympian Dragon's effect in not being able to be destroyed by battle, and when he attacks a monster as long as his attack points are higher that monster is destroyed and the battle damage is calculated."
Lance grits his teeth as I spoke "And now it's time for battle, Boltose the Lightning Titan attack Five-Headed Dragon!"
He was about to speak up but I spoke "Now don't forget Lightning Mage Illyana's effect!"
He gasped "NO WAY!
"Oh yes way" I told him "Now when Boltose the Lightning Titan attacks a DRAGON type monster, thanks to Lightning Mage Illyana's effect, his attack points double during any players Battle Phase!"
"RATS!" Lance shouted "Then that means..."
I nodded "Boltose is now the strongest!"
Boltose roared as it's attack strength doubled 6800-13600
He then spoke "Normally your Olympian Dragon's effect wouldn't work but-"
I nodded "That's correct! Monster Effects, Spell Card Effects, and Trap Card Effects won't work on Titan Cards! Go Boltose the Lightning Titan, finish this Duel with Titan Lightning Storm!"
Boltose the Lightning Titan roared unleashing a powerful Thunderbolt attack down onto the field striking and instantly destroyed Lance's Five Star Headed Dragon and defeating Lance. Lance collapses onto the ground as his Life Points drop down till they were deputed.
My Life Points: 501
Lance's Life Points: 0
I ran over to him "Are you okay?"
Lance groaned and I could tell he was freed as he asked out "What happened? Man I feel as if I was just struck by lightning more than once."
He then caught sight of me and saw my Duel Disk "Miss? Were we Dueling?"
I nodded "We were. I'm Kasumi Aki Fudo."
Lance immediately extended his hand "Yusei Fudo's daughter?"
"You know my father?" I asked him.
"Not by heart or anything" he told me "But I've heard about the heroics of your father from other Duelist and I was inspired to become a duelist here in the Johto Region so I could further more help protect that region."
He felt his head "But, did I win or did you win?"
"She won!" Toph told him.
He extended his hand towards mine and I smiled knowing he was freed from Marik's control thanks to ether my Psychic Powers or my Titan Card reversed the Millennium Rod's control over him. We shook hands as he spoke "So...what's going on?"
He caught sight of my two Vulpixes "Funny, never saw a snow white Baby Vulpix before."
I blushed "I haven't ether until I first came to this place. She was attacked by a Steelix, Takara and I saved her."
He looks at her as he looked at me "Why were we dueling in the first place?"
I answered "You ran into Marik the Third somehow and he brainwashed you."
"Marik the Third?" Lance demanded.
He clinched his fist "That's right, I'm starting to remember! It all happened one day when I was waiting for my latest challenger in the Pokemon League...Only to find out it was most likely a trap set by Marik because I saw him and he brought out this rod and that was all I can remember."
I looked at Lance "We can use your help Lance."
Lance looked at me as I explained "For some odd reason, Marik is upset at my father Yusei Fudo and wants revenge on him. He's after my friend Ash's friends Max, May and Misty."
"Say no more!" Lance told me holding my hands causing me to blush as he seemed pretty polite, and I could've sworn he was hitting on me "For what he did to me, he needs to be stopped, do you know what he has planned?"
I shrugged "Only that he's turning Pokemon into Duel Monster cards and he has the Winged Dragon of Ra."
Lance frowned folding up his cape "Only cowards misuse Pokemon like that. I'll join your group so let's get moving and help save Ash's friends."
I nodded as the three of us set out towards the path. Along the way we met Aang, Ash, Brock, along with a freed Gary and Sabrina. Aang, Ash, and Brock ran over towards me, Toph and the boys gave us a hug. Then we introduced Lance to the group. We now had a Champion in our ranks to defeat Marik the Third. One that was quite an impressive Duelist. One that could even give my father a run for his money if the two Dueled. Now we headed up the middle hoping to intercept Marik's men.

This chapter is over! I had fun with both the Duel Part and the Pokemon Battle Part...What did you all think of Lance's cards? I thought they were quite dangerous. Anyway next chapter is Chapter 35: A new Enemy P5: May, Max, and Misty are found by the Rare Hunters but are rescued by Haku and Hanabi whom need to Duel Marik's Rare Hunters the Paradox Brothers.

Requirements: "Manga Drago" and one or more Dragon type non-Tuner Monseters
Effect: Once per turn you can Special Summon one Dragon type Monster in your Graveyard. For each Monster brought back until your opponent destroys the brought back monster(s) increase this card's ATK by 1000. If this card attacks during your Battle Phase as long as one other Dragon Type Monster is out, your opponent can't activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the damage step.

Type: Dragon/Fusion/Effect
Attribute: LIGHT
ATK: 3500, DEF: 2500
Requirements: 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"+ 1 "Red-Eyes Black Dragon"
Effect: This card can only be Fusion Summoned by the Cards above. This card can attack twice during the Battle Phase, if any battle damage if inflicted to your opponent this card gains the difference and decreases your opponent's monsters ATK by the difference. If this card is destroyed by Battle, Special Summon 1 Blue-Eyes White Dragon and 1 Red-Eyes Black Dragon from your Graveyard inflict 1000 points for each Dragon brought back by the effect.
It is also owned by Lance. A special reason why I made it up is because to my knowledge there isn't any Fusion between Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Blue-Eyes White Dragon so why not make one?

Type: Quick-Play Spell Card
Effect: Remove from play Monsters on the field or in your Graveyard to Fusion Summon a Dragon Type Fusion Monster. That Fusion Dragon monster has it's attack points doubled and is unaffected by card effects as long as it's Face-up on the field.
