When Klaus saw the smoke, he started running, following behind his siblings, until his knees hit something blocking the path towards the light of the open door in the distance. Except for the light, he couldn't see anything else in front of him and reached blindly for the solid object. He could hear Ben yelling to turn left but when he turned, he encountered another block of rubble and more yelling from Ben to go to his other left. Before he could comply, everything went black.
