Chapter 40: Kasumi vs. Marik P1
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or Avatar the Last Air Bender, or Hades whom is Disney's version of him. I do own Kasumi along with most of her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters and the four Titan Cards.
We were on our way to finally put an end to Marik the Third. I don't know how to truly describe this feeling I had in my heart. Somehow, I knew that I had to win this, it did put a bit more pressure on me but a Fudo never backs down from a challenge and from swearing an oath to defeat a mad man. The three members of Team Rocket were guiding us to Marik the Third's location. The mood of the entire party was a bit stressed for the most part. We at least all of us from where I was from knew that the final battle was approaching. The fate of not only this world but my world was hanging in the balance of the outcome. All the pressure was hitting me once again, but I had no interests in failing. As we get closer Ash turned to me "Are you really ready for this Lady Kasumi?"
I looked at him "Ready to duel Marik the Third? Yes...Doesn't mean I'm looking forward to Duel against that mad man."
Lance agreed "There's a difference between ready to duel someone and looking forward to it. This Marik the Third has to be stopped Ash...Our best chance is for Kasumi to Duel him and beat him. That's pretty much putting the fate of not only our world but Kasumi and her friend's world as well."
I bit my lip "My thoughts exactly...However, I'll do my best and will Duel him till I or he is defeated."
"We're almost there boss lady!" Meowth told me "And for the record you've been a pretty good boss keeping all of us together and using all of our strength to overcome this."
I blushed at the cat Pokemon's kind words "Thanks Meowth. I just hope that after all this I can beat Marik the Third and his Winged Dragon of Ra."
"I don't like that you're facing him off one-on-one" Haku told me "You may have a better chance if you and I duel him together."
I looked at him "While you do have a Titan Card yourself, it must be me that goes against him one-on-one Haku. He's requested this multiple times with all of his brain washed Rare Hunters."
I paused petting the snow white baby Vulpix's head. The little baby fox had taken a nap on my shoulder. I looked at her smiling "Besides this baby Vulpix needs to be reunited with her mother...If I fail Marik the Third will complete his deck no doubt...I have no mindset that I'll fail my promise. I just hope that everything works out."
"And Haku" Hanabi told him "Out of any of us, you should know that Lady Kasumi is the only one that can rise up against certain evil in a Duel and win...It's her destiny as a Signer."
As we were walking I was looking at my side deck which had my father's Stardust Dragon Card in it as well as my mother's Black Rose Dragon, I then also added in Uncle Crow's Black Feather Dragon, Uncle Jack's Red Dragon Archfiend, and Aunt Ruka's Ancient Fairy Dragon. Then just as my father had done before me in his battle against Zone, I added all five of the Signer Dragons into my side deck. Something told me I needed not only Boltose but all five Signer Dragon as well as Olympian Dragon and even her Majestic God Dragon form of her to win this Duel. I did some readjusting to my Extra Deck. Keeping Michiah, Maiden of Dawn as she was my favorite card, Black Wing Armor Master, Olympian Dragon, Majestic God Dragon, General Ike, removed Hercules, the Son of Zeus, and Turbo Warrior, then added Black Rose Dragon, Stardust Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend, Ancient Fairy Dragon and Black Feather Dragon and finally I kept my XYZ Monster. In the past I used to own the Signer Dragons in my Extra Deck usually as a Momento as my parents and family were slain once but now that they were brought back alive I kept their Dragons in my side deck to use them only if I needed them. Like I said, I felt as if I needed all five Signer Dragons to be able to handle Marik the Third. If he thought I was going to just use Michiah Maiden of Dawn, and Olympian Dragon on him, then he was wrong! He was going to be dueling not just against me, but all five Signers. Aang saw me doing this "When have you had Ancient Fairy Dragon, Black Feather Dragon, Black Rose Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend and Stardust Dragon?"
"I've had them sense I first set out do Duel at age ten on my tenth birthday" I answered.
"She used to have them in her extra deck keeping them in it as a momento to her parents" Haku admitted to Aang.
Max turned to Aang "Is that a problem that she has all five Signer Dragons?"
Aang smiled "Nope, She just may have an edge over Marik yet! You see each of the Signers have a Dragon that represents them...For Lady Kasumi's father it's Stardust Dragon, whose ability can negate monster effects that cause destruction and destroy them, then revive itself at the end of the turn, Black Rose Dragon can with the help of a Plant Type Monster being removed from play lower an opponent's monster attack points to zero then attack, Red Dragon Archfiend when it attacks a monster in defense mode destroys all opponent monsters that are in defense mode after, Ancient Fairy Dragon...Destroys field Spell Cards and has the highest defense points of the Signer Dragons, then Black Feather Dragon negate effect damage!"
"That's a lot of effects she can pull off!" Max shouted "So that does give her an edge!"
Toph felt a bit rejected "LADY KASUMI! WHEN WE DUELED back in my hometown on Earth, please say you used the Signer Dragons!"
"I didn't" I told her.
"Ah, why not?"
I answered with a small smile on my face "I have decided to try to Duel opponents with my own Extra Deck, sure my parents, uncles and aunt gave me extra copies of their Signer Dragons...Plus if it's anything I wanted to do is well be able to give my opponents a chance to try to beat me. If I had all five Signer Dragons on me at all times then there would be no fun for me to beat them down...Although Uncle Jack Atlas would love to do that...He's all about beating down his opponents quickly."
Aang agreed "Yeah, I sort of got that when I saw him for the first time back in Konoha."
"The Lady Signer has her ways" Haku reminded Toph "Which we all should have our ways. Besides...I approve of this preparation. Lady Kasumi needs all the help she can get, especially when it comes down with dealing with the Winged Dragon of Ra."
Hanabi smiled seeing that I kept the XYZ Monster "And she kept her XYZ Monster."
"Even more help" I admitted.
"You're really preparing for this upcoming Duel" Hanabi told me.
"I have to" I told her "After all I'm about to go up against a Deck whose cards I haven't seen or dueled against before other than the Winged Dragon of Ra, so I'm hoping the extra boost the five Signer Dragon give me holds."
Max approved "Well at least you know how to prepare for something unlike someone we know that the first thing he does is look for a Gym to take on the Gym Leader every time we get to a new city."
Ash took that as an insult "Hey! I win most of the time on my first try!"
Misty joined in the taunting "Oh? Max, you maybe onto something there! He hardly prepares for his Pokemon League battles."
May giggled as Dawn smiles "But it's Ash's way you two. Everyone has there way of doing stuff. Besides even when he doesn't win in the first try, Ash prepares for his rematches, that's something."
"Point taken" Misty and Max sighed.
Brock nodded "I'm sure everyone prepares in their own way, I mean sure Ash doesn't exactly prepare to face off against the Gym Leader on the first attempt to beat them but if they have beaten him, he spends lots of time thinking of a new strategy that can get him the Gym Badge. In a way it's best that Duelist prepare for a hard core match ahead of time."
I smiled as Brock understood perfectly that everyone had their way of preparing for something sure Ash didn't prepare for his Gym Battles on his first attempt, well perhaps he did prepare for them, it's just that he didn't think too much in his preparation skills. In way that was admirable to be able to strategies in the heat of a battle was also an incredible way of dealing with stuff.
Jessie stopped and we all stopped behind her "Jessie?" I asked.
Jessie points "We're there."
"Now might be a good time to prepare to storm his building" James said giving me his binoculars "Please take a look, he has twice or three times as many Rare Hunters than before."
I took them and saw that he was right "Well, I guess Marik the Third is thinking you're coming back and set them out to catch you three."
Haku was standing in the tree carefully seeing them too "I'd assume you want all of us together Lady Kasumi."
"Correct" I told him "Man if I were brother Naruto, there would be an easy solution to this...Shadow Clone Jutsu."
"All ninjas have Clone Jutsu" Hanabi reminded me "Even you do."
"However not all of them are the Shadow Variant" I told her "Flesh and Blood."
"How many are there?" Max asked me.
"I count at least sixty" I muttered, I then got an idea and I turned to Toph "But I believe I have a solution...And it requires three Earth Benders."
Toph smirked as she got it then asks me in a whisper "Three way Land slide?"
I smirked back "Three way Landslide and with an icy river flow."
Haku got the plan immediately "I see it now...You, Aang and Toph are going to make a three way land slide which should get all the Rare Hunters once they are struck...I will Water Bend a stream of Water to freeze them solid."
I nodded whispering back "You got it! We have to spread out a bit for this to work but try not to make a sound that way the Rare Hunters think it's just mother nature pulling the shots."
"The land slide will pin the Rare Hunters and we need one other landslide from the back of the building. That would pin Marik the Third inside his own hideout so he can't get away."
"Leave that to Team Rocket!" Meowth told me giving us communication devices "We'll make the landslide from the back."
I nodded "Go ahead and take your balloon make sure you aren't spotted...Then when I give the single, we'll launch the landslides together. Then Haku will freeze the Rare Hunters with his Water Bending."
"I don't believe this'll work" Max told me "I mean the four of you are Benders but you can't be able to bend that much."
Toph smirked out her answer "Watch and be amazed four-eyes! Never doubt any sort of Element Bender."
I walked down the path a bit out of sight and hearing range from the Rare Hunters. Toph took the path to the right while Aang took the path the the left. We waited till Team Rocket got onto the backside without being spotted. Haku stood up in another tree where there was a stream of water ready for his part with his Sneasel at his side. I turned to Hanabi to let her know to keep everyone else quiet.
She hushes all of the trainers "Silence everyone, this plan will work as long as no one speaks up."
Ash, Brock, Dawn, May, Max and Misty nodded at her words and were quiet, even Ash's Pikachu covered it's own mouth with it's two small hands. Takara and the snow white baby Vulpix whom was still sleeping were also quiet. Once in position I asked threw our communication device in a whisper "Aang, are you in position?"
Aang answered "You bet, I am...Waiting for the order."
"Toph?" I asked.
"In position Lady Kasumi!" Toph answered quietly.
"Team Rocket?" I asked.
"We're in position boss lady!" Meowth told me.
"Alright then" I said "Team Rocket let your landslide off first!"
"Right away!" Meowth said he must've turned to Jessie and James "Let the landslide begin!"
"Rodger!" James said.
A few seconds later there was the sound of explosives going off which surprisingly none of the Rare Hunters caught, only reason being was because the explosives were on the silent side of things. I raised the communication devices "Okay, Aang, Toph, all together!"
Together all three of us stomped on the ground and created massive landslides then with a pushing motion sent them towards the building below. Rumbling sound soon sounded and the Rare Hunters all turn to see the landslides coming at them "LANDSLIDE!" they all shouted in terror as the massive landslides came closer to them. Some of the Rare Hunters try to bail but they couldn't do much and all were caught in the debris. Haku took his time and Water Bended. A stream of water behind him rose like a wave as he sent it downward on the path my landslide was triggered. I Some of the Rare Hunter that avoided most of debris saw the water "FLOOD!"
SPLASH! WOOSH! The sound of the water hitting the Rare Hunters sounded then all Rare Hunters even the ones pinned in the Landslides were frozen.
"Mission accomplished it looks like!" Meowth said over his communication devices "We got all sixty of them!"
"Good" I reported "Everyone back with me."
While I was waiting for Aang, Toph, and Team Rocket to rejoin me and Haku, I turned to see Max's mouth popped wide opened in disbelief at what he saw. It was a funny sight to behold as he was lost for words for once...Despite at what he had just seen. Ash, Brock, Dawn, May, and Misty were also jaw dropping in amazement.
"I knew you, Aang, Toph, and Haku were Benders" Brock told me "But if I wasn't here to witness what I just saw, I wouldn't believe it."
Misty even spoke "Even when I've seen it, I still don't believe it."
Aang, and Toph returned with Team Rocket behind them as Ash spoke to me, Aang, Haku and Toph "Are you four sure you don't have any trace of Pokemon DNA in your systems?"
"They seem human to me Ash" May told him.
"Man...:" Dawn admitted "Am I glad that you four are on our side and not Marik's. That would've taken all of us off guard."
Lance studies the seen "Well the plan worked!"
Toph turned to a still shocked out Max "Why so shocked?"
Max "What I saw was just impossible!"
"Nothings totally impossible when you got two Earth Benders, a Water Bender, and as for Aang, he can bend all four Elements...However he needs training for his Fire Bending skills."
"That I do" Aang confessed.
"It is said the Avatar can pretty much do anything with all four Elements" I admitted "Especially when he's or she's learned and Mastered them."
"Now let's go down to see where Marik is" I said.
The seven Pokemon Trainers, my other friends and I walked down the trail without any Rare Hunter stopping us, why? Well mostly all of them were frozen solid or...for the especially unlucky ones crushed to death by the landslides. Once inside the hideout it seemed to basically be abandoned with all the Rare Hunter frozen. Jessie leads us to a room where we finally saw him. At my nods Haku kicks down the door.
The one that called himself Marik the Third turned Millennium Rod in hand "Whose there?"
I carefully used my psychic powers to prevent brainwashing to my friends as I looked at him "The games over Marik! I have finally found you."
"Thanks to your spies you have" Marik the Third told me.
"Don't play as if I was playing you Marik" I told him petting the snow white Baby Vulpix whom woke at Haku kicking the door down and now she was whimpering at the sight of him "Especially when you wanted this baby's mother and she managed to get away. Besides I came here to Duel you and end your rein of Terror!"
Marik the Third stood upright looking deep into my eyes with hatred that I could fully see, and oddly, it was too my father and now he was rightfully hating me for getting into his plans. Having my friends duel his Rare Hunters, having taking part in two duels myself in freeing Lance, and beating Yugi Muto of this world. Oh he had every right to hate me as well.
"We're giving you one chance to surrender!" Ash told me "And turn yourself into the police!"
"You're naive if you think that'll happen" Toph warned Ash.
Marik the Third smirked "The blind girl is right Ash, like I'll ever surrender to you of all people or to the Lady Signer whose been in my way now..."
Marik the Third looks at me "For my plan to work you will be eliminated right here and right now! Prepare to be the first out of many Signer victims of the Winged Dragon of Ra!"
I frowned "Fine! It's finally come down to this!"
We activated our Duel Disks drew our top five cards and shouted "DUEL!"
"And thus" Haku muttered "The Duel for two worlds commences."
"And it feels as if it's going to be treated like a Shadow Game" Hanabi muttered.
"That's right it is!" Marik told me "A lethal Shadow Game."
I never faltered as the Mark of the Dragon began glowing bright red and shown brightly on my arm "Bring it!"
Behind me it seemed as if the Crimson Dragon arrived giving out it's might roar as our Life Points shown.
My Life Points: 4000
Marik the Third's Life Points: 4000
"It's my move" Marik told me "I draw!"
He drew his card "I activate Spell Card: Golden Sarcophagus!"
He then spoke it's effect "Now I get to search threw my deck and retrieve one card from it and then it's removed from play, then on the second Standby Phase after this card's activation, the card I removed from play comes back into my hand..."
A card appeared from his deck as he spoke to me "I don't normally have to say what card I'll discard but since it was at the bottom of my deck, I believe I should do it...and I'll be blunt, it's my WINGED DRAGON OF RA Card!"
I watched as he removed from play his Winged Dragon of Ra. I then thought to myself Saves me the trouble of knowing when he'll have that card.
"In the meantime" Marik told me "I'll summon Pokemon Onix to the field in defense mode!"
A big rock snake appeared on the field and I began to have a bit of flashbacks to the first day I arrived here "That looks familiar..." DEF: 2000
"Probably because Onix is the preevolved form of Steelix" Brock told me.
"YOU MEAN, ONIX TURNS INTO THAT STEEL SNAKE?" I asked.
Brock nodded "Yep.
"Turn end" Marik the Third told me.
"I'm up then!" I announced "I draw!"
I drew my card "Sweet! I summon Hermes, the Messenger God Tuner Monster!"
Zeus's messenger god appeared on the field ATK: 1000
"When Hermes, the Messenger God is on the field" I told Marik the Third, it allows me to Special Summon one level four or below Monster from my deck or hand, so from my deck I choose Archer Naomi!"
Archer Naomi appears on my side of the field ATK: 1200
"Next," I said to him "I'm going to tune my Level four Hermes, the Messenger God with my Level four Archer Naomi."
"Here comes a level 8 Synchro!" Max shouted "It's gotta be Olympian Dragon!"
"Nope" Haku said.
"Why not?" Max asked him.
"Olympian Dragon needs Pegasus, the Fateful Steed Tuner Monster or Hyper Synchron as it's tuner" Hanabi answered.
"OH" Max announced then he asks "Then who?"
"We're about to find out" Haku said.
I watch as Hermes the Messenger God split into four rings and it scanned Archer Naomi allowing me to chant out "Clustering shining Hopes will become a Shiny New Star...Become the light it's light shines upon...Synchro Summon...Take Flight...Stardust Dragon!"
Stardust Dragon appears in a flash of white light roaring ATK: 2500
"Alright, Lady Kasumi!" Toph announced "Bringing out the first Signer Dragon!"
"So that's Stardust Dragon" Ash, Brock, Dawn, May, Max and Misty said looking up at it.
"It's quite a wonderful beast" Lance admitted seeing it.
Marik the Third didn't look too worried about this as he smiles "Not bad. I see you adjusted your deck so you could try to be somewhat of a threat!"
"Well then let's see what you can do against my father's Synchro Dragon" I shouted at him "Battle, Stardust Dragon, attack his Pokemon Onix, with Sonic Shot!"
Stardust Dragon roared at the top of it's lungs and gathered in a cosmic star like attack in it's mouth and it fired it at Onix. Onix roars however even with an explosion it still stands."
"What gives?!" I asked.
Marik the Third answered "It's Pokemon Onix's special ability! You see it can't be destroyed by Battle once every time it's been Normal Summoned or Special Summoned."
"Great" I muttered "Turn end."
"It's my move!" Marik the Third spoke "I draw!"
He drew then smiled "Stand by Phase, you have one more turn before my Winged Dragon of Ra comes into my hand."
I looked at him "Like I'm afraid of that threat! You need three Monsters to Tribute Summon it and I don't intend to let you have three Monsters!"
He ignored me well mostly "So you aren't one to be intimidated by a God, well I'll have to teach you why you should be fearful of it, but for now I activate Spell Card: Poke Item, Metal Coat!"
Brock knew what it did "Nuts...Now he can most likely discard his Onix or Scyther to evolve them."
"Why you are correct" Marik the Third said "So I'll send Onix to the Graveyard to Special Summon Pokemon: Steelix!"
The steel snake Pokemon I fought on my first day of coming here arrived but it was in defense mode DEF: 3000
"Next" Marik told me "I'll summon Pokemon Pikachu in defense mode!"
A Pikachu appeared on the field DEF: 1000
"I'll set one card face-down and end my turn" Marik said.
"It's my move!" I announced "I draw!"
I drew my card and I spoke a Monster's effect "If Hermes, the Messenger God is in my Graveyard, I can special Summon him back to the field!"
Hermes the Messenger God appeared yet again ATK: 1000
"Next" I told him "I'll activate Hermes, the Messenger God's effect once again, any time it's Normal Summoned or Special Summoned onto my side of the field, I get to Special Summon another Monster from my deck or Hand! So again from my deck I choose, my level four Knight Meg!"
Knight Meg appears on the field DEF: 1600
"Next" I said "I'll be tuning my Level four Hermes the Messenger God with my Level four Knight Meg!"
Once again Hermes the Messenger God split into four rings scanning Knight Meg as I shouted "Synchro Summon...Red Dragon Archfiend!"
Red Dragon Archfiend appears on the field with a mighty roar ATK: 3000
"Next" I said "It's time that your Life Points take a hit, Battle, Red Dragon Archfiend, attacks your Pikachu with Absolute Power Force!"
Red Dragon Archfiend roars at the top of it's lungs gathers in a huge energy attack in it's claws then comes straight at Marik the Third's Pikachu.
Pikachu squeals in pain before bursting apart.
I then smiled at Marik "When Red Dragon Archfiend attacks a Defense Position Monster on your side of the field, all other defense Monsters on your side of the field go bye-bye!"
Marik the Third's Steelix roared in pain before being consumed by flames.
"He's wide opened!" Ash shouted.
"She has a clear shot!" May shouted.
"Take it!" Max, Misty, Dawn shouted.
Haku on the other hand was beginning to feel as if this was being too easy "Sure Lady Kasumi has a good idea using all Signer Dragons for this but...Marik doesn't seemed worried...The Winged Dragon of Ra Needs three Tributes...Marik must be up to something."
I suspected it too but I had to take a shot "Stardust Dragon, attack Marik Directly with Sonic Shot!"
"I activate my Trap Card: Enchanted Javelin!" Marik announced I watched as he spoke out it's effect "Now, If I am the target of an attack I gain Life Points equal to your Monster's attack...However this Trap Card doesn't stop your attack like Draining Shield does."
A Javelin appeared in Marik's hand and his Life Points rose by Stardust Dragon's attack. Marik's Life Points: 6500
Then Stardust Dragon's attack points hit home reducing his Life Points back to normal.
Marik's Life Points: 4000
"What's the point of that Trap Card?" James asked Haku.
"Basically it's to make Kasumi's attack useless or at least protect the user from her Direct Attack so he can survive or keep his Life Points at a normal level."
"I'll set one card face-down" I told him setting a card face-down "Turn end."
"It's my move!" Marik the Third announced "I draw!"
He smiles "Now that it's been two whole turns, the Winged Dragon of Ra card comes back into my hand."
He now retrieves his Winged Dragon of Ra.
"Next" He told me "I activate Spell Card: Pot of Greed, it allows me to draw two cards."
He drew his two cards "And what a good two cards I've drawn"
"You have no monsters to use for Winged Dragon of Ra" I told him.
"True" he told me "But I activate Spell Card: Traitorous Action!"
A Spell Card appears on his side of the field and he spoke it's effect "This is a tricky card because it allows me to Special Summon any level four or below Effect Monster to my side of the field, then after it activates it's effect it switches onto your side of the field."
"So I get the monster?" I inquired.
"In the end" Marik The Third told me "Yes."
He then smirked "So I summon the level 1 Pokemon Ditto from my deck!"
A small pink blob Pokemon appeared on the field. ATK: ?
"Oh-no" Brock muttered.
"Oh yes" Marik said turning to me "I activate Dittos's special ability of Imposter! It allows it to take the entire form of one of your Monsters on the field, so I'll choose for it to copy Red Dragon Archfiend!"
Ditto soon became Red Dragon Archfield with all of it's status quo ATK: 3000
The Ditto then switched sides and I gained it. I was still puzzled onto why Marik gave me this Pokemon that he could've used to hurt and destroy Stardust Dragon "Thanks for the Monster?"
"Oh don't thank me" Marik told me "Because I have you where I want you, I activate Spell Card: Soul Exchange!"
"NO WAY!" Aang and Haku shouted.
"THIS IS BAD!" Hanabi said "Really, really, really bad!"
Even Toph whom was calm as ever was worried for me "Lady Kasumi...You might want to forfeit the Duel now..."
"Why is everyone so scared now?" Ash asked.
Lance answered "Soul Exchange, allows you the user to use your opponent's Monsters as Tributes."
Ash didn't get it like always but Brock made him get it "And what card does Marik the Third now have in his hand, that needs three Tributes?"
Ash then got it "NO WAY! He completely used Kasumi to his advantage so he could..."
Brock nodded "Yes."
Marik the Third smirked as even I now looked worried "Now watch powerlessly Lady Signer as I use your Stardust Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend and my Ditto that has been turned into your Red Dragon Archfiend to Tribute Summon the one true Monster and terror...The one and only...WINGED DRAGON OF RA!"
Winged Dragon of Ra's theme plays
I watch as Stardust Dragon, and the two Red Dragon Archfiends vanish leaving my field empty then when it was empty, Winged Dragon of Ra began to show it's true form. At first it looked like a fiery phoenix but it soon shaped into it's god like dragon form...And once again like all God Cards, it was HUGE! Once out it roars at the top of it's own lungs. ATK: ?
Marik the Third then shook with laughter "How about that Lady Signer? I managed to summon my mighty Winged Dragon of Ra using your Monsters...Now as you know it's attack is the total combined number of attack points of the Monsters I used to tribute Summon him...And I gotta say you feel right into my hands."
I watched as the Winged Dragon of Ra's attack points were now a grand total of 8500.
"Not only is that thing huge..." Jessie muttered.
"But it totally could destroy you if it wanted to" Meowth muttered.
"And her field is bare" James admitted.
"Now" Marik the Third announced at me "Time to face death Lady Signer! Battle, Winged Dragon of Ra, attack Lady Kasumi directly and end this Duel! Blaze Cannon!"
I watched as Winged Dragon of Ra took aim at me, opened it's mouth then shot out a burning hot sun like sphere at me. Too my friend's eyes the attack seemed to have hit me causing an explosion.

Cliff hanger! Perfect time for one! I'm glad for once I decided this will be a two parter as the adventure to get to Marik the Third's hideout and to deal with his Rare Hunters had to come out first. Next chapter is Chapter 41: Kasumi vs. Marik P2: Thanks to her Trap Card, Kasumi is able to survive the Winged Dragon of Ra's attack but now she has to contend with a Winged Dragon of Ra with 8500 attack points where any wrong move could mean a win for Marik.
