Chapter 45: Double Battle Tournament P1

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or Avatar the Last Air Bender, or Hades whom is Disney's version of him. I do own Kasumi along with most of her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters and the four Titan Cards.

We were on our way to the next city where my adventure with Ash and his friends would soon come at an end. As always when it comes down to Ash however he had gotten us lost. Right now both Haku and Brock were checking the town map to see where we were going. I really should've known better than to trust Ash on leading us to the next city. Next time I swore if there was a next time, I was going to make sure to lead us right. As we continued down a path it was Misty that broke the silence blaming Ash "WAY TO GET US LOST AGAIN ASH KETCHUM!"
"ME?" Ash demanded to her "ALL I WAS DOING WAS FOLLOWING MY GUTT!"

"THAT'S THE BIG PROBLEM!" Misty shouted at him "IT WAS BAD ENOUGH YOU GET US LOST BUT YOU NOW HAD GOTTEN LADY KASUMI AND HER FRIENDS LOST WITH US! THIS IS REALLY BAD!"

"Oh come on Misty!" Ash protested "It's not that bad! It's a way to see the sights!" he turned to Aang "Wouldn't you agree Aang?"

"I would normally" Aang told him "But it is important Lady Kasumi, Haku, Hanabi and I return to our dimension! The others must be worried sick for us!"

"Oh!" Ash said.

I sighed "Despite the big set backs here, my group should be getting back as soon as we can. Ash...For once in your life...Accept the blame because...I hate to say it Misty's right this time!"

"Thanks! Lady Kasumi!" Misty told me "Finally someone understands the situation and is bold enough to point out I was right!"

Brock sighed "I try to do my best to stay neutral in the conflict but sometimes Ash sense of direction can even get to me."

We stopped when Haku pointed to a sign "There's a sign up ahead guys!"

"Finally something positive!" Misty said she saw Toph was in the lead "What's the sign say Toph?"

Toph paused then turned around "How should I know? I'm blind"

Misty sweatdropped fully remembering it as she spoke out an embarrassed "My bad Toph! I sort of forgot that you were blind.

"Let's stop near the sign and we'll see what it says then" I suggested.

"Good idea boss lady!" Meowth told me.

We got to the sign and I read out loud "Special Double Battle Tournament Sign up this way."

"Double Battle?" Haku inquired.

"It's like a Tag Duel, Pokemon Style!" Dawn answered him "Sometimes this can happen when two trainers meet and send two Pokemon out or four trainers can battle each other with both teams having two Trainers on each side!"

"It's our lucky day!" Ash proclaimed "We found a place where a Tournament is going on! And I'm going to win it all!"

Before I could protest telling him we had better plans Ash tore off in the direction running.

"Boy..." Toph said to me as she knew what I was going to say "Ash has a one track mind."

"I'll say" I muttered angrily "Didn't even wait to hear my objection."

Misty also sighed "Sorry about that Lady Kasumi but this is Ash."

"I suppose" I sighed out "Well we'd better go after him."

All of us broke into a run and managed to catch up to Ash whom seemed to be looking around.

"You get yourself lost again Ash?" Misty asked as we caught up.

"No!" Ash answered her "Just waiting for you."

"Why don't I believe that answer?" I muttered silently causing Hanabi to giggled slightly at my choice of words.

We all looked around the area as Dawn arrived last. The area was big almost like a park "Wow!" Dawn said "What a great place!"

"I don't see any Pokemon Trainers here" Ash admitted "At least no one else that isn't in our combined group.

Brock agreed as he saw several fields that one could have a Pokemon Battle on "Yeah...This looks to be the place where this tournament event is happening. So where are the other Trainers?"

"On their way" Haku said leaping down from a tree limb.

"You saw them?" Max asked.

Haku nodded "About a good two hours back."

Hanabi briefly activated her Byucugan to see Haku was right "I'm barely detecting them as they are indeed coming this way. My Byucugan is barely picking them up...Plus I do see some of them coming this way to the front."

It is then an old man with white hair in a professor outfit seemed to enter the area. While Aang, Haku, Hanabi, Toph and I were puzzled at his appearance he turned to see us and greeted us warmly "Hello Ash and Dawn!"

"Professor Rowan!" Dawn shouted.

"It's been a while!" Ash said as the professor came down towards us.

Dawn turned to me to introduce the man to me "Oh, Lady Kasumi, this is Professor Rowan, he's the head Pokemon Professor of the Shinnoh Region. He studies Pokemon Evolution."

Professor Rowan looked at me reaching out his hand to shake mine "So, your this Lady Kasumi that Officer Jenny mentioned. On behalf of everyone here, allow me to thank you for saving us from Marik the Third."

"You're welcome" I told him shaking his hand "I couldn't let him get away with what he was doing. No one in their right mind wouldn't."

"Spoken like a true hero" Rowan told me.

Ash then asked him "So is this the place the Double Battle Tournament is being held?"

"It is" Rowan answered "And it's one I've been planning on for four months. And now that day has arrived, anyone of you interested in signing up?"

I gave out a sigh "Well I'd love to stay and chat but I-"

Before I could complete my sentence Ash in his excitement pushed me out of the way and I landed on my butt getting it scrapped in the process "Count me in Professor! Where's the sign up sheet?"

Haku reached down to help me up "Are you okay Lady Kasumi?"

Once I reached out my hand to have him help me up then stood on my two feet again, I groan rubbing my behind which felt like it was burning "I will be when I get even with Ash one of these days for doing that."

"Why don't you Earth Bend him into a pit?" Toph asked me.

"I'm not that cruel when it comes to wanting revenge on someone" I muttered.

Professor Rowan turned to Ash "I see your ready for a challenge."

"I'm ready for anything!"

"Except helping us find our way home" I muttered.

Ash turned to me "Come on, Lady Kasumi, we have time for this one tournament...Besides you have two Vulpixes and-"

Professor Rowan noticed Snowflake "Oh wow! A rare snow white baby Vulpix! We don't normally see them like that in Shinnoh! This is certainly a rare fine!"

I turned to him "I found her on my first day here...She was separated from her mother due to Marik the Third, we recently freed her mother whom gave her to me."

"You have a good heart" Rowan told me checking the baby Vulpix over "She seems to be in good health too considering what happened."

I smiled a bit the Professor was being kind and gentle towards Snowflake.

Ash turned to me "I know you want to get back to your dimension but we should totally allow ourselves to participate in this Double Battle Tournament, you have Takara and Snowflake...Besides we never really had a Battle between the two of us and I'd love to battle you."

I sighed out "Alright, fine but please after this tournament no more distractions."

"YES!" Ash shouted.

I shook my head thinking I'm glad Naruto's never this excited, even Naruto has sense of direction and urgency much better than Ash.

So the Professor takes us to the sign in sheet where Ash signed his name in and I did as well. Misty walked up "I might've been dragged here but I'll sign up too!"

"Me too!" Dawn said.

"I'm in as well!" May said.

Lance agreed to participate as well "Might as well have fun, I'm in."

"I'd go too" Aang said "But I only have one Pokemon."

"We can rout Lady Kasumi on!" Hanabi said.

Haku agreed "Fair enough."

"I'm already routing for her!" Toph said.

"Hey now!" Ash said to them "She hasn't even trained Takara or Snowflake!"

I smiled "And that's probably why if you are pitted up against me you'd probably be beaten Ash."
Ash blinked as I pet Takara "Just because I haven't trained Takara or Snowflake in the sense you have with yours doesn't mean they can't fight...In fact I'm willing to bet you can't beat Takara at all. She's trained with me on my many ninja missions right Takara?"

"Vulpix!" Takara said.

I pet Snowflake "And Snowflake will catch on as well one day."

"Vulpix!" Snowflake said in a laughing tone.

Ash turned to Haku "Please tell me that she'll prevail even with little training."

Haku hums "She's not underestimating you Ash, it's you who are underestimating her. Sure the Lady Signer may not train like many other Pokemon Trainers but...Her Pokemon are trained to fight alongside her! And that's what's going to make them dangerous against any Pokemon at least Takara. Snowflake you might beat as she's just joined Lady Kasumi but Takara...She'll be a handful to you and any other trainer."

Ash blinks and soon other trainers also arrive with one being a freed Gary Oak, and a brown haired boy. Ash noticed him "Paul? You're here too?"

"Of course I am!" Paul told him "In order to be the best, you have to join tournaments. It's another way for you to discover your strength!"

"Whose that guy?" I asked Dawn.

Dawn answered "That would be Paul...Ash's rival why?"

I gave out my answer in a silent tone "Because I already hate him...He reminds me a bit about Sasuke with that stuck up attitude of his."

Dawn sighed "Yeah...I see what you mean."

Many other trainers would arrive at the area signing up. While this was happening and waiting to hear Professor Rowan's rules of the Double Battle, I decided to space myself out to give Takara and Snowflake a little Pep-talk.

"Alright girls!" I told my pets "Even though I like tournaments, I feel as if we're losing precious time but we'll compete in this one right?"

"VULPIX!" both Snowflake and Takara agreed.

"Good answer girls!" I told my pets "Things might get interesting and where I'm not sure how far we'll go let's at least give Ash if we are to battle him in the first round a battle he'll never forget!"

"VULPIX!" the two Vulpixes said eagerly.

I paced back and forward as if I was an army general "This is going to be different for us. This is going to be possibly our first Pokemon Battle we'd have as a team. I do have something to say and the one thing I will say to you Takara is, this is a regular Pokemon Battle! Don't go overboard into killing your opponents Takara."

"Vulpix?" Takara asked in a confused tone.

Meowth turned to me waiting for me to ask him to translate but he didn't need to as I had a feeling what she asked "I know! I know Takara that you have fought alongside me and both of us had to kill but in this Pokemon Battle that's forbidden so you can't exactly kill your opponent-"

"Besides it's unsportsmanlike like for any trainer to kill another trainer's Pokemon in a Pokemon Battle" Meowth said interrupting me.

"Thanks for helping me out there Meowth" I told him then I added on as I addressed my pets "And even though I'm a ninja where we don't usually fight fair, for this one instance in a Pokemon Battle it's best we do. So again Takara no going overboard."

"Vulpix, Vulpix!"

"YES! EVEN IF THEY MAKE YOU ANGRY!" I told her "I don't want to be known as the first Trainer to kill Pokemon."

"Vulpix" Takara said nodding toward me.

I sighed "Sorry for raising my voice Takara, but my point has to be made. So point is this don't kill your opponent just use enough power to cause them to faint as that is the normal way of a Pokemon Battle, Understood Takara?"

Takara nodded understandingly. I pet her speaking to her "Good girl"

Takara licked my hand playfully as I turned to address Snowflake "As for you Snowflake, you don't really have the training yet but trust in me and we'll see how far we can go. Got it!"

"Vulpix!" Snowflake said.

I then sighed "So...I guess what's next to know is what moves do you girls know?"

Dawn overheard me talking to my Pokemon and walked over to me giving me her Pokedex "A Pokedex could tell you what moves your Pokemon know. Here borrow mine."

"Thanks Dawn" I told her taking her Pokedex and pointed it at Takara, her moveset was Flamethrower, Confuse Ray, Quick Attack, and Will-O-Wisp. I nodded having a feeling those were her moves then pointed it at Snowflake finding out her moves were Ice Beam, Attract, Quick Attack, and Double Team. I studied the moveset, both Vulpixes knew Quick Attack, and it was Dawn whom told me how lucky I was to have a Vulpix that had Attract "You're lucky to have that move in Snowflake! If the opponent is the opposite gender of the user, Attract may put the opponent in love."

"Interesting!" I said "Thanks for the Info."

I saw Snowflake's Double Team attack and felt as if this were nearly like my brother Naruto's Shadow Clone Jutsu and was already coming up with a strategy. At least with Takara it would be a bit easier as she was trained alongside me for a good while. I nodded smiling "Alright girls! Let's go down to see what we can do in this tournament!"

"Vulpix!" the two Vulpixes said.

As I was going I felt Paul looking at me, I keep my head looking down towards the area where I saw Professor Rowan walking back down for his announcements as I addressed Paul "Not a good idea to try sneaking up on a ninja Paul."

"Wasn't sneaking up on you" Paul told me.

I finally turned my attention towards him as he looked at me "They say you are a good Duelist...That you defeated Yugi Muto...Even Marik The Third, but take my advise and withdraw from the tournament."

"Why should I?" I asked.

"Because, Duel Monsters which is your forte, isn't exactly like a Pokemon Battle! There's more strategy involved in Pokemon Battling. Plus just because if you're Pokemon has a higher attack doesn't immediately mean it's going to win!"

"You think I don't know that?" I asked him.

He looks at me "What?"

I turned to him "I know Pokemon aren't like Duel Monsters! However even in Duel Monsters there is strategy involved. Especially in designing a deck! That's why Strategy Decks are nearly a perfect balance as they give you plenty of options. However I will not withdraw from the tournament."

"You're doomed to fail it" Paul warned me looking at Snowflake "Especially when you have one adult Vulpix in Takara whom maybe the best you have, but you also have a baby Vulpix of a totally different type and area. There's no way you can win a Double Battle with a baby Vulpix!"

"That's where you are the one that's wrong" I warned him "A ninja has more creative ways to think than you think...And I look forward in proving that to you."

"Only strong Pokemon can win a tournament and you may have one in the normal Vulpix but you don't have one in the baby one!"

"There's more to Pokemon than just being strong" I warned him "If strength is all you think of then you'll never grow as a person. There's more to being strong than just strength...Perhaps the best strength one can get is caring and love in their hearts."

Before Paul could even argue with me even further Dawn and I had left with Meowth nearly crying "Spoken like a true leader Lady Kasumi!"

Dawn, Snowflake, Takara and I were making our way down path towards the meeting area. Once at the area we joined the other trainers waiting for the rules of the Double Battle Tournament. Professor Rowan stood up ready to give his speech "Welcome trainers to my first ever Double Battle Tournament. I see lots of interesting new Trainers and look forward in seeing a heavily fought Pokemon Battles all the way to the final rounds! Are you all ready to hear the rules?"

"Yes" was the response.

Professor Rowan then explained the rules "Alright the first rule each contestant in the tournament must have at least two Pokemon in their party. Those Pokemon are then registered and until you are defeated or until the end of the tournament you aren't allowed to choose any other Pokemon."

Shouldn't be too hard for me I thought Snowflake and Takara are the only Pokemon I have.

"Second rule" Professor Rowan explained "This tournament is treated by Double Battle rules. Two Pokemon on each side battle each other. When both of one's Pokemon are taken out that trainer will lose the contest. The battles continue onward and have no time limit!"

Massive cheers erupted around the area allowing Professor Rowan to announce "Partcipants are chosen by random draw. So with all that said those Trainers that have registered to participate start registering your Pokemon, the tournament begins in thirty minutes!"

With this all Trainers participating in the tournament registered their Pokemon. Finally in thirty minutes the tournament was beginning. Professor Rowan was with another Pokemon Professor this one Ash knew "Hey that's Professor Oak!"

"Indeed it is!" Misty said "Looks like Professor Elm and Professor Birch is here too!"

"Must be a big event if Professor Birch is here" Max said.

"Must be" May said.

Professor Rowan lets Professor Oak come to the microphone "Welcome Trainers to the first ever Double Battle Tournament in Shinnoh! One that we all hope to have yearly! This year as you can see it's hosted in Shinnoh! All of the Pokemon Professors are here to see this tournament to further unite each region closer together. We all hope to see impressive battles, fight your way to the final round! With that being said it's time for the tournament to begin!"

Massive fireworks went off and all eyes turned to Professor Oak "Alright then let's see what the random generator has decided to pit each trainer up...Who will be battling first?"
With this all eyes watched as the random generators picked out a name. Professor Rowan steps up to announce the name "The first trainer selected to battle is...Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town!"

"Oh yes!" Ash shouted "I've got the first match!"

He turned to Pikachu "Ready buddy?"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu said giving Ash a piece sign with his small fingers.

"The Random name generator will now figure out Ash's opponent" Professor Rowan said.

All eyes watched the generator and soon a name appeared in the Professor's hands and he read the name "Battling against Ash is the Lady Signer herself, Kasumi Aki Fudo!"

All eyes turned towards me as I looked shook thinking to myself How lucky am I to get this honor? My father participated in Dueling Tournaments and was nearly always last to go.

I turned then faced Ash. Ash saw me and we were both surprised that we'd be going first. Ash then smiled as he looked at my eyes "Why I'll be, we get the honors to have our promised battle!"

I gave him a smile "Certainly!"

The two of us walk to a circle with Ash on one end and me at the other, Takara and Snowflake at my side. In the middle of the circle was the judge whom happened to be Professor Birch whom smiled "Alright Ash, and Kasumi ready to battle?"

"We are!" Ash and I said.

Professor Birch nodded "Right! Now you two all know the rules. So bring forward your Pokemon!"
Ash went first "Certainly! Pikachu, Starraptor, I choose you!"

"Pika!" Pikachu shouted leaping into the circle on one side, out of Ash's second Pokeball which opened a bird Pokemon appeared "Starraptor!"

I turned to Snowflake and Takara "Alright then, go on out, Takara and Snowflake!"

"Vulpix!" both Vulpixes cry out running forward towards their center of the circle.

Watching the battle closely was Aang, Brock, Dawn, Haku, Hanabi, Lance, May, Max, Misty, and Toph. May then spoke "So the first match is Ash vs Kasumi...Interesting!"

"Takara is a Fire Type, and Snowflake must be an Ice Type" Max told her "So a Fire and an Ice Type vs. an Electric and Flying Type...Snowflake has the advantage over Starraptor."

"But Starraptor knows Close Combat which is a Fighting Type Move" Dawn said.

"Things are about to heat up" Lance said.

Professor Birch raised his flag "So, the first battle of the tournament is Ash vs Kasumi. It's Two Vulpixes vs. Pikachu and Starraptor, Battle begin!"

"Alright let's seperate those two Vulpixes Pikachu Thunderbolt on Snowflakelet's go!" Ash commanded "Starraptor,use Bravebird on Takara!"

I watched calmly as Pikachu's cheeks started to crackle with electricity and he shouted "PPPIIIKKKAAACCCHHHUUU!"

I watched as Starraptor flew towards Takara seemingly glowing with blue light.

"Not so fast Ash!" I told him "Snowflake, Double Team! Takara use Quick Attack to join into Double Team!"

Just as the two attacks seem to come close Snowflake leaps forward then started making copies of itself and actually Takara or well Takara seemed to run so fast she seemed to be making her own Double Team just as I wanted it. Both Ash's Pikachu and Starraptor missed the targets as the images worked.

"No way!" Ash shouted in disbelief at what he had just seen.

"Oh yes way!" I said "Takara, Confuse Ray let's go! Snowflake, Attract!"

Takara nodded unleashing her Confuse Ray striking Pikachu with it while Snowflake unleashed her Attract on Starraptor. The two attacks hit and done their work.

"Uh-oh!" Ash shouted "Confuse Ray and Attract?"

"You bet!" I told him

Ash then spoke "Pikachu, Starraptor knock it off!"

I nodded "Now Takara and Snowflake Quick Attack!"

"Pikachu use Iron Tail!" Ash commanded "Starraptor use Bravebird again!"

Pikachu was confused and tried to fight it off but wasn't able to knock itself out of Confusion. Both Takara and Snowflake slam into Pikachu and Starraptor sending them flying. "PIKA!" Pikachu shouted. "Starraptor!" Starraptor shouted.

The force of Takara's Quick Attack sent Pikachu sprawling somersaulting backwards with Starraptor only being forced backwards a bit.

"Pikachu! Starraptor are you two okay?"

"Pika!" Pikachu replied getting up snapping out of confusion easily.

"Good!" Ash said "Alright then, use Quick Attack on Takara!"

Pikachu nodded rushing forward. I saw Ash's strategy but it wouldn't work "Takara intercept Pikachu with your own Quick Attack!"

"VULPIX!" Takara said nodding rushing forward.

Ash turned to Starraptor "Alright Starraptor use Quick Attack on Snowflake!"

Despite being in love with Snowflake, Starraptor over came it then came at Snowflake with blinding speed. I nodded "Snowflake Double Team!"

Snowflake nodded producing multiple copies of herself causing Starraptor to miss once again. I watched as Takara and Snowflake seemed to be on a collision course and Ash shouted "Pikachu leap up into the air and use Iron Tail!"

Pikachu nodded and just when it looked like it and Takara would collide it jumps into the air and prepared an Iron Tail. Sadly for Pikachu, Takara had a mind of her own and even without me giving it an order, she leaps catching Pikachu's tail in her mouth then she tossed Pikachu aside as if it were a rag doll.

"Pikachu!" Ash shouted.

Max was watching "Wow! Takara did that without Lady Kasumi's ordering her to do that!"

Haku smiled "Well Takara and Lady Kasumi have fought together so they know how to handle most situations...Iron Tail seems to be a good move but it takes time to unlock. Ash tried to get it to hit Takara in the back of the head but Lady Kasumi and Takara know from experience and other factors to not let that easily happen.

Ash grits his teeth a bit as he order Starraptor "Starraptor use Bravebird on Snowflake!"

Snowflake watches as Ash's Starraptor closes in on it. Now she didn't have Takara's experience in fighting on her own when she needed to but good thing for her Takara had her back. Ash saw Pikachu trying to get loose and ordered it "Pikachu! Now's your chance! Unleash Thunderbolt!
I smiled "Fell right into our trap Ash right Takara!"

Takara winked "Vulpix!"

While Pikachu began building up his electrcity Takara shook her head back and forward once each banging Pikachu's head onto two rocks then with one final bang she literally opened her mouth and threw Pikachu directly on a collision course with Bravebird.

"PIPIPI!" Pikachu shouted as he saw that he was on a collision course with Starraptor.

Then Starraptor and Pikachu collided with each other and a bright explosion of electricity sounded.

"Pikachu! Starraptor!" Ash shouted in disbelief.

When the explosion ended Pikachu and Starraptor were barely standing on their feet.

"Not a bad strategy!" Brock commented.

"I don't get it Brock" May said "All Takara did was throw Pikachu into Starraptor's Bravebird attack."

"That's the strategy!" Brock told her "A ninja uses everything in her arsenal...Takara is thinking like a ninja and so is Lady Kasumi! Snowflake maybe inexperienced as a ninja so she doesn't know much but Takara is thinking like a ninja and so is Lady Kasumi...What do you do when one doesn't understand completely? Well use the one that knows how to be a ninja as a big time help to use your opponent's strengths against each other."
"Oh!" May said.

Max giggled "I never seen that strategy before in a Pokemon Battle but then again we don't normally have Ninjas here with us to teach that. This'll be one hard battle for Ash to actually win."

"Pikachu! Starraptor can you two fight?" Ash asked them.

"Pika!" Pikachu replied.

"Not for long!" I told him "Snowflake Double Team and Attract! Takara use Quick Attack to run around them to confuse them!"

Takara nodded rushing forward as Snowflake unleashed her Double Team attack to surround the group. Pikachu blinks unsure of which Snowflake was the real one. For that matter Starraptor was still in love with Snowflake and wasn't breaking free of the love spell. Pikachu saw Takara coming at him and Ash shouted to it "Use Volt Tackle!"

Pikachu nods rushing forward "PIPIPIPIPIPIPI PIKA!"

Takara smirked then carefully dodged the tackle and then used her tail to trip Pikachu.

"Pika!" Pikachu shouted falling down again.

"Great!" Ash muttered "Takara's totally thinking like a Ninja...She's the harder one to try to beat...No matter what I do she seems to...Then he saw Snowflake unleash it's attract "PIKACHU BEHIND YOU!"

"Pika?" Pikachu asked turning to see the heart attack coming at him.

Before he could counter Takara used Confuse Ray on him to Confuse him so he'd stay back.

"Not again!" Ash groaned seeing Pikachu confused then Snowflake's Attract got it.

"Now" I told both Vulpixes "Snowflake, Takara, Double Quick Attack on Pikachu!"

Both Vulpixes obey with Takara leaping and with Snowflake at her side they both rammed their heads into Pikachu at full force. "PIKA!" Pikachu cried landing on Starraptor again."

"Pikachu, Starraptor!" Ash shouted "Pikachu try Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu heard and while it overcame Confusion it could't overcome the love spell and I saw the opportunity there to finish Ash off and nodded "Takara, Snowflake! Finish it! Flamethrower, Ice Beam!"

Both Takara and Snowflake opened their mouths shouting "VVVUUULLLPPPIIIXXX!"

Takara gathered in flames and Snowflake gathered in Ice in her mouth then both breathed their attacks out. Pikachu and Starraptor look at the attacks having now been able to break free of the love spell temporarily then both Takara's Flamethrower and Snowflake's Ice Beam caught Pikachu and Starraptor blowing them backwards and they fell to the ground defeated.

Professor Birch raised his flag "Pikachu and Starraptor are unable to battle! Winner is Kasumi with her two Vulpixes!"

"No way" Ash muttered "I lost badly. Mine couldn't even touch hers."

Takara and Snowflake ran over to me leaping into my arms as I hugged them "Good job Girls! Victory is yours right now. We're moving on!"

"Vulpix!" The two Vulpixes said happily.

Ash walked over to me extending his hand "Wow Lady Kasumi...I got my butt kicked by you. My Pokemon couldn't even touch yours."

"Well Starraptor could've been a match to Snowflake" I told him "But, you didn't factor in Takara."

Ash reaches to pet Takara "Yeah, I totally didn't expect her to carry you...To beat you one has to think like a ninja. This battle is yours but one day we'll have a rematch and I'll figure out a way to beat yours."

"I'll look forward to that rematch" I told him.

So with that I sat in the stands with Haku at my side. He chuckled "Not a bad debut for your official Battle career here. I thought you did great. Snowflake's going to have to improve though, Takara can't bail you out forever."

I turned to him "You're right and Snowflake needs the training, but right now we'll have to see the tournament through."

"That we do" Haku admitted.

Haku turned feeling Paul's presence and so did I. I turned to see Paul whom smirked looking at Ash "You lost to Lady Kasumi here."

"Oh yeah?" Ash demanded "I bet she could beat you."

Paul ignored him mostly "We shall see about that Ash won't we?" Paul then looks at me "I look forward to if we ever Battle Kasumi. You'll probably see that your think ninja strategy won't work on me."

He walked away as Takara leaps up "Vulpix! Vulpix!"

I sighed out the answer "No Takara...If you and Snowflake Battle him you may not kill his Pokemon."

"That is something not even I want to wish on him" Ash said agreeing with me.

So with this first battle done the tournament will go on. I figured to train up Snowflake while waiting for the battles to continue. I watched as the next two opponents of the contests were going to be May vs Misty.

Ash turned seeing this "Wow...Misty vs. May...This I gotta see."

"And we are going to see it soon" I said watching as Misty and May begin to walk down onto the field.

Part one of Double Tournament is over. Ash has absolutely failed to defeat Kasumi due to him totally underestimating Takara's ability to think like a ninja. The difference in how Kasumi trains is, well she is a ninja and she treats her pets fairly like they are pets as equals similar to Kiba and Acumaru. So while Takara is Kasumi's pet she has developed a mindset that makes her think like she is part of Kasumi's squad. One day this will indeed happen to Snowflake so Kasumi is going to be super dangerous in a Pokemon Battle because her Pokemon can pull off even more unpredictable ideas. Anyway Next Chapter is Chapter 46: Double Battle Tournament P2: Professor Rowan's Battle Tournament continues on with many exciting battles including Kasumi's semi-final round where she has to face off against Paul. Can Kasumi's team defeat Pauls?
