Chapter 46: Double Battle P2, Special Training

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or Avatar the Last Air Bender, or Hades whom is Disney's version of him. I do own Kasumi along with most of her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters and the four Titan Cards.

I had just won my first ever Pokemon Battle in the Double Battle Tournament. Snowflake and Takara were sitting at my feet with everyone of my friends sitting in the stands about to watch the second battle in the tournament go on. It was between May and Misty. Both trainers were now on the battlefield staring at each other. Brock had told me that May was mostly a Pokemon Contest type of trainer while Misty like him was a Gym Leader from Cerulian City, well one of four Gym Leaders, Misty had three other older sisters that were also Gym Leaders.

"Get ready to be defeated Misty!" May told her.

Misty looked at her "That we shall see!"

May held up her Pokeballs "Then let's get to work! Blazekin, and Glaceon, come on out!"

Out of May's Pokeballs a huge fire chicken appeared on the field and a cute catlike ice type appeared "Blazekin! Glaceon!"

"Another fire and Ice combo" Dawn said "I wonder what May has in mind..."

I studied the scene remembering Misty was a Water Type Pokemon Gym Leader "Good statement Dawn...Misty's Water Type have a big advantage over May's Blazekin and Water Types also resist Ice Type attacks...So I do wonder what May's plans are as well."

"We're about to find out" Toph muttered.

Misty held out her Pokeballs "Alright then, Gyarados, Psyduck come on out!"

Out of Misty's Pokeballs a huge blue sea serpent like Pokemon appeared followed by Misty's Psyduck. The huge sea serpent roared while Psyduck lets out a confused "Psyduck?"

"Why'd Misty choose Psyduck?" Ash inquired.

Brock had a feeling why she did "I'm sure she didn't want to...However Psyduck does have a habit of breaking out of his ball instead of the other Pokemon Misty called for. If that were to happen during this tournament and if Psyduck wasn't registered to be used...Misty could be disqualified. So I'm sure Psyduck breaking out of his Pokeball at times was the ultimate reason why she called him out instead."

Psyduck turned to Misty giving her a smile "Psyduck!"

"YES I CALLED YOU OUT YOU STUPID DUCK! SO YOU'D BETTER NOT MAKE ME REGRET CALLING YOU OUT!" Misty berated the duck.

"How's she going to regret that?" I asked.

Brock sweat dropped "You're about to see why Psyduck isn't used too much in battle. It has a bigger habit of embarrassing Misty."

"Can't even use Water Gun properly or effectively" Ash muttered recalling the time that Psyduck tried using Water Gun.

I sweat dropped thinking I wonder how Naruto would react to this information...

Professor Birch raised his flags calling out the match up "The second match up is between May's Blazekin and Glaceon vs. Misty's Gyarados and Psyduck...Second battle begin!"

"Blazekin, use Fire Spin on Psyduck!"

Blazekin nodded and unleashed it's Fire Spin trapping Misty's Psyduck in a vortex of fire. May presses on with her attack "Now Glaceon, use Blizzard!"

Glaceon nodded "Glaceon!" the Pokemon unleashed a powerful snow storm which strikes both Misty's Gyrados and trapped Psyduck!

"It'll take more than fire and a Blizzard attack to stop us!" Misty shouted then she heard Psyduck screaming and sighed "Maybe one of my Pokemon may think so otherwise...However...Gyarados use Flamethrower on Glaceon!"

May wasn't expecting this "Wait, that Gyarados has Flamethrower?!"

"You bet!" Misty said as her Gyarados opens it's mouth and breathes fire at Glaceon. The attack hit the Glaceon causing to shout "GLACEON!"

"PSYPSYPSYPSYPSY!" Psyduck shouted while running around in the twister trying to break free Misty sighs "Psyduck! Use Water Gun!"

"Psyduck?" Psyduck inquired then it tries to unleash it's Water Gun and when it does, I sweat dropped as it spat out a tiny amount of water which equaled the amount of a water fountain which only went a short distance not enough to put out the fire.

"Now's our chance to take down Gyarados!" May told her Pokemon "Blazekin, Sky Uppercut!Glaceon, use Blizzard again!"

Misty shook with range at how her Psyduck was acting then commanded her Gyarados "Gyardos! Use Aqua Tail on Blazekin and have it land on Glaceon!"

The tall Sea serpent nodded raising it's mighty tail as Blazekin comes at it trying to land an sharp uppercut but just as it was about to connect the Gyarados raises it's mighty tail and I sworn I saw it somehow fill up with water and then it SLAMMED the tail right onto Blazekin while in Mid-air. It worked exactly how Misty wanted it to! Blazekin goes flying and landing hard on Glaceon and both are taken down with one swift move but the two weren't taken out yet.

"Not bad!" Aang said "Now that's what I call using your opponent's numbers against them!"

"Not to mention" Haku added on "She's using her Pokemon's height as an advantage!"

Misty smiled "Now to put the pressure onto May, Gyarados! Flamethrower one more time on Glaceon! That should take it out!"

"Was hoping you'd do that!" May told her "Glaceon, use Mirror Coat!"

"Oh-no!" Misty shouted "Not that move!"

Misty's Gyarados breathes fire again at Glaceon whom took the attack and manages to hold on weakly but it soon glew white and as if the Flamethrower attack hit a mirror bounced of and strikes Gyarados doing major amount of damage even nearly taking it out.

"Mirror Coat" Lance told me as he must've seen my confused expression "Doubles the damage a Special Attack hit on the foe...Basically a similar move to Counter but only for Special Attacks."

May saw her chance "Now Blazekin, use Sky Upper Cut again!"

Blazekin comes at Gyarados whom was still trying to recover from May's Glaceon's Mirror Coat attack and this time Blazekin's attack connects and thanks to Mirror Coat's double damage it was enough for Misty's Gyarados to fall onto the ground fainting.

"Gyarados is unable to battle!" Professor Birch said.

Misty recalled her Gyarados "You did your best...Now it's all up to that idiot Psyduck of mine..."

May smiled now believing she had a clear advantage "Let's press on! Glaceon use Blizzard, Blazekin use Skyupper Cut again!"

Just when things looked bad for poor Misty, she and I both saw Psyduck clutch it's head. Brock notices this "Uh-oh! May's in trouble! Psyduck's suffering from an intense Headache! And Ash you know what that means!"

"PSYCHIC POWER!" Ash shouted.

Misty smiled thinking Couldn't have came at a better time! She then spoke "Alright Psyduck use Confusion on Blazekin!"

Even while trapped in the vortex, Psyduck heard her and obeyed. It concentrated and somehow blew the flames away from it. Blazekin nearly completed it's Skyupper cut attack but Psyduck stopped it in it's tracks then Blazekin started to glow blue on the outside as Psyduck lifted it up with it's mind then tossed it onto Glaceon.

"Blazekin, Glaceon!" May shouted in alarm "Are you two okay?!"

When the dust settled it was revealed that both Blazekin and Glaceon had swirls in their eyes fainted. Professor Birch raised a flag holding it out towards Misty "Both Blazekin and Glaceon are unable to battle! Victory in this round goes to Misty!"

"Wow!" Toph said even while not able to fully see and enjoy the battle as the rest of us were but she was impressed on the outcome "Who would've thought that idiotic duck of Misty's was that strong."

Ash remembered that he too was defeated by Misty's Psyduck "It's Psychic Powers are not something to mess with...It defeated my Kingler with ease."

"And a Cloyster" Brock reminded us.

"And Team Rocket occasionally" Meowth muttered.

May recalled her team "Blazekin, Glaceon return!"

The two Pokemon returned to their Pokeballs and she smiled "You did your best! Next time we'll beat her for sure!"

Professor Oak walked over towards me "Oh Lady Kasumi...May Professor Rowan and I speak to you in private?"

"Sure Professor" I told him standing up.

Haku made to rise but I smiled gently calming him down "Relax Haku and enjoy the next battle, I'll be back."
"Okay" Haku said.

I turned to Snowflake whom was taking a little nap that was until Takara gently nudged her with her nose causing her to wake. I smiled "Come on Snowflake, follow me and Takara we're going to talk to Professor Oak."

Professor Rowan turned to Professor Elm "Please feel free to call out the next two combatants!"

"Will do" Professor Elm said reaching for the name generator and called out the names "The first combatant is Dawn!"

He then let the generator decide Dawn's opponent and Professor Elm read it outloud "Against her is Paul!"

As I was leaving I looked at Dawn as if knowing Paul would beat her and I gave her words of encouragement "Do your best it's all you can do."

Dawn nodded "I'll try to."

There was a little bit of down time before Dawn's match about a five minute one so to give her some time to think a bit. While this was happening Professor Oak and Professor Rowan took me to a room "What's this about?" I asked.

"Why, it's about Snowflake!" Professor Oak told me.

I held the snow white baby Vulpix in my arms blinking "What about her?"

Professor Oak answered "I believe you'd like to know where she came from."

"I'd like to know that as well" Professor Rowan said "I knew she wasn't from Sinoh"

"Nor is she from Kanto, Jhoto, Honan" Professor Oak said.

I was mystified "So you're saying she's from a different region?"

"I am indeed Lady Kasumi" Professor Oak said.

"Which region?" Professor Rowan asked "Can't be from Unova, Professor Juniper would've mentioned it nor is it from Kalos."

"Correct again" Professor Oak said looking at me "She's from a brand new region that nearly no one completely understands about just yet as it just has been discovered by my own two eyes. That region is known as Aloha."

"Aloha?" I inquired "Sounds Hawaiian theme based."

"Aloha hugh?" Rowan asked.

"What's so special about the Aloha Region?" I asked Professor Oak..

Professor Oak answered "Some Pokemon there are granted new forms or types. Most likely as an adaptability for example. Well we're seeing one, is your Snowflake. She's an Alohan Vulpix while Takara is a Normal Vulpix."

"There are other Pokemon like Snowflake?" I asked.

"Indeed" Professor Oak said "Another interesting example is Exeggutator. In most regions it's a dual type of Grass and Psychic, but in Aloha they take an entire now form and become a Dual type of Grass and Dragon."

"So these new forms and types are all an adaptability method?" Professor Rowan asked "I might have to take a trip there to see this and to see the reason why these adaptability traits happened."

I then placed my hand over my chin "So Snowflake's mother must've been an Alohan Ninetails!"

"Correct!" Professor Oak said.

I turned to him "Maybe you'd know this but that mother Ninetails seemed to have a different type all together, she certainly was an Ice Type but she wasn't affected by Lance's Dragonite's Draco Meteor attack."

"There is a new type being studied in the Kalos region" Professor Oak said "But as of this time we have no idea on what type to call it. Professor Sycamore has two other assistants that are helping him to discover that new type and it's effectiveness. That other typing of Snowflake's mother must be that new type."

"Interesting" I said looking at Snowflake "We'll have to pay a visit back here in our dimension to the Pokemon World there to see if they have the answers. I'm interested in learning what that new type is actually called.

With this mentioned the two Professors and I left the room, I felt pretty happy now to have a rare Alohan Vulpix at my side, and I pet her gently.

The Vulpix giggled as we headed back to the sight where the battles were going on. As I sit in the stands Haku asks me "So what did they want to speak to you about Lady Kasumi?"

I smiled "It seems that Snowflake isn't around here. She's from the Aloha Region."

"Aloha?" Hanabi asked "Sounds Hawaiian themed."

I gave out a giggle she said the exact same line I did when the Professors were explaining things to me.

I would watch Dawn battle against Paul. Dawn's two Pokemon she choose were her Mamoswine a Ground/Ice Type, and Ampipalm. These were probably her best Pokemon that could match Paul's which were Eletrovire and Userang. Just as Paul did to me, I sat carefully watching the battle. Despite Dawn's best which she did pull off an amazing combo move Swift Ice Shard, basically it involved Dawn's Ampipalm unleashing her Swift Attack and Mamoswine unleashing it's Ice Shard into one attack. It looked wonderful! The powerful star attack that never missed met Ice Shard creating an ice type of shuirken attack. This attack hit and Dawn wasn't out yet she unleashed Ambipalm's Focus Punch on Urserang and Mamoswine unleashed a Stone-Edge on Eletrovire but Paul easily countered with Eletrovire's Protect attack by allowing it to leap in front of Ureserang so that both Pokemon were protected by Dawn's attack. Then it went down hill from there as Paul easily turned the tide using Eletrovire's Brick Break Attack on Mamoswine and Ureserang had crushed Ambipalm with Trash. With one cruel move Paul's team was victorious.

I did certainly notice Paul was certainly going to be harder, that Protect Attack could protect him from anything but as Brock told me it couldn't be safely used in succession at least not all the time. I could clearly see why Paul was Ash's rival, he certainly would be a challenge to me but I was already formulating a plan to use Protect against Paul. I remembered my Battle with Weavile The second's Pinsir and nodded if Protect worked it would completely defend Paul's Pokemon like a shield. Then I figured if protect was up then wait till it was lowered then strike.

More battles would unfold including Lance vs. Gary Oak. Gary Oak choose to battle with his own Eletrovire and Blastoise and they would end up battling against Lance's Dragonite and an Areodactle! From the beginning it looked like Gary had the edge having a Water Type to battle Lance's Areodactle, and Electrovire could dish out neutral damage to Lance's Dragonite. However it soon became to light that Lance's Areodactle had the edge in speed and was able to outspeed even Eletrovire. Lance called upon his Areodactle to use Rock Slide which was a move that hit both of Gary's Pokemon causing them to flinch while Lance called for Dragonite to unleash a Dragon Dance. A move which increased it's attack and speed stats. Gary tries to unleash Eletrovire's Discharge attack on his next turn but Areodactle outspeed it again and this time Lance called for it to use Earthquake another move that hit all foes It was a super-Effective hit on Eletrovire while Lance decided to command Dragonnite to unleash it's Outrage. The outrage strikes Blastioise first and thanks to the Dragon Dance, Lance set up earlier it was able to take the Blastoise out in one hit. I sat watching Lance having the feeling it would be Lance I would be battling against in the final round. Despite Areodactle scoring a Super-Effective hit Gary's Eletrovire was still standing and managed to get off a Discharge striking Areodactle and Dragonite. The attack even paralyzed Areodactle as it somehow survived the attack but Dragonite wasn't paralyzed luckily for Lance.

Gary thought quickly and swiftly used Thunder Punch on Areodactle in the next wave of attacks. This time Areodactle went down fainted and at Gary's command to dodge the Outrage attack, his Eletrovire managed to and then Outrage settled down causing confusion to Lance's Dragonnite.

Gary then pressed on with another Thunder Punch but even when Dragonite was confused it managed to avoid any serious damage to it by catching it in it's hand. Lance nodded "Go for it Dragonite! Draco Meteor!"

Dragonite unleashed it's Draco Meteor taking the Eletrovire out. Lance won that battle. With Lance's battle last, the first round of the tournament was up. Sure there were eight trainers now it was going to go onto the Semi-Final rounds the last four trainers remaining were Misty, Paul, Lance and me. Professor Rowan strolls up "A good first round! Now trainers it's time to take a two hour break before moving onto the Semi-Finals. Before we take the break let's see who the computer puts up against each other!"

We all turned to a big screen where our names were shuffled on it, then the computer delivers the match ups. The first match of the semi-final rounds was Misty vs. Lance, and then the last battle of it was me vs. Paul.

"I bet you wish that you were fighting Misty" Ash told me.

I shook my head "Partly yes, but I suppose a battle between me and Paul would've happened sooner or later." I then grew serious "Once again I have to go up against someone that feels like he's this world's version of Sasuke Uchiha..."

"You beat Sasuke in that one fight you had with him..." Toph reminded me "Before he went rouge and nearly betrayed your village and would've had you not stopped her permanently"

"True Toph" I said standing up straight "Time to put Paul in my brother Naruto's words 'In his place' I'll show him there is more to Pokemon than just being strong and caring only for that."

"Protect's going to be a problem" Dawn told me "Look at what he did to me with it!"

I nodded then spoke up her line a bit "No need to worry Dawn, where I have seen that, I already have an idea on how to best it."

"How?!" Dawn asked.

Ash then got it "Oh!" he then whispered to me "You're going to use Protect against Paul aren't you? Like that guy with the Pinsir!"

"Exactly!" I told Ash.

Aang then nodded "It worked on that Pinsir so I bet it could work better on Paul."

"He still isn't going to be that easy to beat" Ash warned me "I've had my share of battles with him and sadly...I lost most of them. Including the all out six on six battle at Lake Acuity."

Dawn sighed "He didn't just beat you, he beat you good"

I nodded then turned to Takara and Snowflake "While there is this break we're going to train a bit."

"Vulpix!" Takara shouted delighted.

"Vulpix?" Snowflake asked not sure how I was going to train her.

I turned to Haku "Haku...Watch out for Paul please. I don't want him to see my strategy while I'm training."

"Want me to freeze him if I see him?" Haku inqurired.

"Or me to send him down a pit?" Toph added on.

I smiled "Yes, you two can do that but don't hurt him too much."

"Got it" Haku said.

"You bet!" Toph said.

I turned to Hanabi whispering to her "Our Eight Trigram Rotation...It is similar to Protect now isn't it?"

Hanabi nodded "It is but unlike Protect which is instantaneous Eight Trigram Rotation takes a bit longer to put up. Why?"

I put a hand on her shoulder "Can I ask you for your assistants in training my two Vulpixes?"

Hanabi smiled "I'd be honored too!"

I turned to Aang "You can help too Aang..."

"But I'm afraid I don't have anything to match a well timed Protect" Aang said to me.

"Earth Bending a rock sphere might be your closest bet" Toph told him.

Aang nodded "Well alright, I'll help."

The three of us left so I could train both Vulpixes. Haku stood on a tree observing for Paul. Toph was ready to spring her trap if the two ever caught Paul spying on me. Sometimes it did help to have Haku with me after all and I had the feeling this was one of those times where it mattered.

We get to a separate location where I could train alone with Hanabi and Aang there for protection.

"Alright Snowflake and Takara!" I told my pets "Time for a special round of training!"

"Vulpix!" Takara told me.

I smiled "Easy Takara! I know the last match we had against Ash was a good victory but now we face off against Paul. You and Snowflake saw how he easily crushed Dawn right?"

"Vulpix!" Takara said nodding her head

"Vulpix!" The snow white baby Vulpix said nodding.

I looked at my pets "I usually don't train like this but I believe I have a strategy that can work against Paul. Takara you remember that Pinsir we fought don't you?"

"Vulpix! Vulpix, Vulpix!" Takara said and I knew what she was saying which was you mean the Pinsir whom belonged to Weavile the Second whom took Pikachu's soul?

I nodded "Yes that one. It's important that we train to show Paul his protect isn't going to work on us easily. You may have an idea on how it's done but Snowflake doesn't as much. So this training day is one that's also for her."

I pointed to Aang and Hanabi "Those two will be helping us out on this training. Plus Takara I need you to try to help with Snowflake's ninja skills a bit."

"Vulpix!" Takara said nodding understandingly she turned to Snowflake sitting down and I smiled seeing how Takara tries to be an older sister to Snowflake speaking out "Vulpix, Vul"

"Vulpix!" Snowflake said nodding her head.

Sometimes I wished Meowth was with me but he with Jessie and James were on guard duty as well helping Haku and Toph watch out for Paul. I then pointed to Aang and Hanabi explaining to my pets "Aang and Hanabi will be using attacks similar to Protect while Aang also throws in a bit of his Air Bending skills afterwards if one or both of you fail to avoid the Protect like attack. This'll act similar to how Paul might react with his Electrovire and Userang without seriously injuring you two during the training. Got it?"

"Vulpix!" the two Vulpixes said to me nodded.

Aang understood the method with his Dodou at his side "I got it too! Hanabi and I are ready when you are."

"Dodou!" Dodou stated.

Hanabi nodded getting ready herself with her Meinfoo at her own side "Anything to help you out Lady Signer!"

"Mein!" Meinfoo said.

I carefully walked back to act like a trainer "Alright then here we go!"

I decided to start slowly "Alright girls! Both of you use your Quick-Attack!"

"Vulpix!" both Snowflake and Takara shouting rushing forward with Quick-Attack.

Aang watches and starts Earth Bending a small wall while Hanabi spun around creating a visible chakra barrier.

My two Vulpixes looked like they would be colliding with this but I nodded "Okay girls! Stop what you are doing at the last second before impact!"

Takara obeyed me digging all four of her paws into the ground skidding, while Snowflake due to her being a baby Vulpix while she heard wasn't able to successfully stop on a dime like Takara did. Snowflake tried but ended up smacking head first into the rock wall at full speed with a THACK!

"ARE YOU ALRIGHT SNOWFLAKE?!" I asked alarmed.

"Vulpix...Vulpix..Vulpix!" Snowflake spoke dazed while walking around in her dazed tone.

After a while of walking around dazed she falls flat onto her back still dazed.

"Vulpix!" Takara shouted running towards Snowflake concerned, once close Takara starts licking the baby Vulpix to see if she was okay.

After a while it turned out Snowflake was okay she raised her tail "Vulpix!"

"That's a relief" I said.

Aang recalled the rock wall "I'm glad she's okay! She hit it pretty hard!"

"Considering that she left a small baby Vulpix head impression on the wall" Hanabi said looking at the impression made on the wall "I'd say she certainly did hit hard."

I checked Snowflake's head over feeling it trying to see if her skull had been damaged, luckily she wasn't damaged...Just dazed.

"Shall I try to Air Bend?" Aang asked me after a while.

I shook my head "Not that time. Both Takara and Snowflake have to be able to stop on a dime and await my single but after I've unleashed their real attack you'll have time to counter attack."

"Got it!" Aang said.

The two Vulpixes resumed training facing off against Aang and Hanabi. Takara was already sharp on stopping on the dime but Snowflake certainly did need the practice. Every time I had ordered both Vulpixes to use Quick-Attack then stop the moment they were going to run head first into the barriers of my two friends, Takara would stop on a dime ready to attack, Snowflake had the worse time doing so running head first or sometimes even butt first into Aang's Rock Wall. Honestly, I preferred the butt first than head first. I honestly felt like a Pokemon Trainer for the first time in my life, well with Takara I didn't need the special training so far but for Snowflake I certainly did feel like a true Pokemon Trainer. Still I remembered Kakashi-Papa's words in being calm in the situation, I also remembered Iruka-Sensei as well being patient. This wasn't going to be easy for Snowflake but this was the meaning of this training. Finally after half an hour of Snowflake running into Aang's Rock walls head first or butt first she seemed to understand and was getting better. Finally I nodded "Alright Something tells me this time we'll get it done Snowflake! You're getting better at slowing down! Ready to try again alongside Takara?"

"Vulpix!" Snowflake told me.

I nodded as the two Vulpixes stood at each other's side waiting for my command.

I smiled pointing outward "Alright Snowflake and Takara, use Quick-Attack one more time!"

Watching me was Ash, Brock, Dawn, May, and Max. Lance and Misty were getting their Pokemon checked out by Nurse Joy which is something I needed to do to in order to make sure mine were at full health and ready.

"She's training for once" Ash said amazed.

"She's much more patient than most trainers" Max said "Most trainers would've given up on the 5th or even 10th try."

Haku overheard them and spoke "It sort of helps that Lady Kasumi's Kakashi-Papa and Iruka-Sensei are somewhat laid back. So she know patience is the key."

"Why is she asking you to watch out for Paul?" Dawn asked.

Toph answered "Strategy! She doesn't want Paul to know it. He's already seen her think ninja strategy so she feels as if he may adapt but if she trains and strategies both using her think ninja strategy then stopping Protect, that'll help her off."

"That explains the holes Team Signer is making around the area to slow down Paul or detour him" Misty muttered "They understand perfectly what's going on."

"So far so good nothing" Haku said "But I'm sure he's going to try to spy on us. Besides a ninja never truly reveals her strategies to the enemy so they can adapt, they try to think of other ones."

I watch as Snowflake and Takara charge the barriers Hanabi and Aang made. I smiled as both my pets manage to stop on a dime without my command and I congratulated them "Good work Snowflake! Good work Takara!"

Aang lowered his rock wall as did Hanabi whom lowered her rotation in a way to mimic a Pokemon using Protect but acting like the turn was up. I nodded "Alright, this is the reaction Paul's team might have and then it's all about taking it to the next level and attack while they think the round is over! Takara, Flamethrower, Snowflake, Ice Beam! But don't harm Aang or Hanabi"

Both Vulpixes opened their mouths "VVVUUULLLPPPIIIXXX!"

Takara breathes fire at Hanabi while Snowflake breathes ice at Aang. Both Vulpixes unleash their attacks at the ground the two were standing on not trying to hurt them at least not badly. Hanabi's sandals were slightly scorched while Aang, slipped on the ice "You okay Aang?" I asked.

"I am!" Aang said.

"Good" I said "Now Aang, use your Air Bending to blow them backwards"

"On it!" Aang said Air Bending.

Takara and Snowflake felt this and are blown back, well correction Snowflake was about to be blown back but Takara smartly gently bit Snowflake's tail then dove out of the way and lay flat on the ground allowing the air to pass them. I smiled seeing Takara do this, she was going to be the MVP of the battle knowing when to dodge and when not to, this was also going to be part of the training.

The two make their way towards me and I nodded "Good work girls! Now let's repeat that about three to five more times! After all practice makes perfect prep time! Then we'll start a bit of think ninja strategy for you Snowflake!"

The two Vulpixes work alongside me to complete the training. After the sixth consecutive time of both Snowflake and Takara stopping then taking Aang, and Hanabi by surprise with Ice Beam or Flamethrower, I smiled knowing they were getting the training down and began training Snowflake to think like a ninja "Snowflake, there comes a time when you can unleash any move such as Double Team or Attract without my consent or command. Watch Takara to see what I mean. Let's see...Aang care to be Takara's sparing partner."

"It should be Hanabi that's her sparing Partner" Aang said to me " I should be Snowflake's."

I nodded looking at Hanabi whom gave me a peace sign with her fingers "Go for it! I won't attack Takara unless you need me to!"

"Okay then" I said.

I pointed to Snowflake to sit on the ground and then pointed to Takara to show her what I meant. I gave Takara a nod for her to begin her attack on Hanabi. Takara nodded charging forward using a sharp Quick-Attack. Hanabi responded by trying to unleash her Eight Trigram Rotation but just as we practiced, Takara stops at the last second then unleashes a Confuse Ray, Confusing Hanabi or well...Confusing her Meinfoo whom leapt to protect her.

"Meinfoo!" Meinfoo announced in a confused tone.

I nodded as Takara took aim with her mouth then unleashed Flamethrower at Hanabi. Hanabi braces herself taking the attack and manages to get away thanks to Substitution Jutsu without getting seriously harmed. She reappeared behind Takara but Takara thought quickly and turns around and manages to bite Hanabi's hand, not too hard to cause Hanabi too much pain but it wasn't light ether. Hanabi tries to throw Takara off her but Takara quickly removed her jaws from Hanabi's hand and unleashes a Will-O-Wisp attack which Hanabi promptly managed to use a Kunai to defend herself with and disable to attack without getting burned.

"Good demonstration Takara!" I ordered "Now get back here!"

"Vulpix!" Takara nodded running back to me.

I looked at Hanabi "She didn't bite you too hard did she?"

Hanabi was nursing her bitten hand "It wasn't too hard but it wasn't light ether, it was a bite that told me back off I'm not messing with you. Which is what you want on an enemy."

I nodded "True."

I turned to Snowflake "Did you get a good demonstration in?"

"Vulpix!" Snowflake said.

"Alright then" I told her "Get down there and try it out!"

"Vulpix!" Snowflake said rushing towards Aang.

Snowflake runs in with Quick-Attack and Aang summons a Rock Wall which she stops at the last moment and then even more incredible leaps onto the rock wall and dives for Aang and tries to unleash her Ice Beam at him.

"So far so good" I muttered as Aang avoided the Ice Beam "But climbing a Protect Attack isn't going to help on Protect, it'll just allow Paul to attack but I did say she can attack without my input but that was very creative on the fly."

Aang carefully Air Bended her blowing her back a bit and she starts using Double Team. Aang looks around seeing the copies and smiled "Not bad!" he jumps and air Bends in all directions blowing away all of Snowflake's copies and even Snowflake herself but while she is being blown away she manages to unleash an Attract on Aang. Aang didn't see or here her use that move but he felt it and dodged it but his Dodou wasn't so lucky. It soon fell into Snowflake's love Spell attack.

"Well there goes your Pokemon" I muttered seeing Meinfoo confused and Dodou in love with Snowflake.

"She certainly go that thing ninja down" Hanabi told me "That was much more easier for her to understand than Takara."

I nodded "All we have to do next is train her speed and reaction skills, she needs to be prepared to dodge attacks without my input. Takara please help on this one, I need you to be her sparing partner and teacher for basic ninja skills."

"Vulpix!" Takara said leaping down towards Snowflake.

For an hour the training continued and slowly but surely Snowflake was shaping her skills as a ninja. Then after the training was complete, I headed back to the tournament area where I had Nurse Joy check over my Vulpixes. Along the way Paul had indeed shown up but he looked rugged "Whose idea was it to make holes around an area?"

"Mine" I told him.

He looks at me as I explained while Snowflake and Takara were being checked over. I then spoke "Honestly you're lucky you found those holes..." I turned to Haku and Toph "Because if those two spotted you coming closer to the area I was training in, they would've ether frozen you or..."

"Make you fall into a pit where you couldn't get out from until Lady Kasumi completed her training with her two Pokemon" Toph warned for me.

He looked shocked that I thought of things to prevent him from spying on me. I looked at him "You've seen my Think Ninja strategy so it may not one hundred percently work on you, so I've thought of a different strategy and trained both of them a bit more for our battle that's coming up."

He smirked at me "At least you're honestly trying to think ahead not unlike Ash."

"HEY!" Ash demanded.

"It's the truth" Paul told him "You foolishly thought you could beat me at Lake Acuity but you didn't prepare for that battle and you were rightfully crushed by me. Just like I was crushed by Brandon before that battle."

He began to walk away while looking at me "Our battle is the last one in the Semi-Finals...I look forward into humiliating you Lady Signer."

I watched him walk off thinking Geese what a jerk! He's certainly like Sasuke! Well I'll put him in his place!

"Here you go Lady Signer" Nurse Joy told me giving me Snowflake and Takara "You're Pokemon are back to perfect health! I hope you do well against your opponent."

"Oh" I said with Snowflake, and Takara looking in Paul's direction with me "Trust me Nurse Joy, I will. Snowflake, Takara and I are planning to do that."

"Vulpix!" both my pets shout.

With my friends at my side we head back to the area where the Semi-Finals were about to begin. First match up was going to be Misty vs. Lance. I could already see the two heading out onto the field. One thing was sure, I was certain my training would prevail over Paul...So that meant a possible Final round Battle with Lance.

I did again! This chapter was supposed to be the Semi-Final round with Lady Kasumi but I figured why do that, we should see Kasumi training her Pokemon for the upcoming battle. Let's face it if she hadn't had the training, Paul possibly might've beaten her. But will her training prevail over him? Find out, next chapter is Chapter 47: Double Battle Tournament P3, Semi-Final and Finals: After Lance and Misty's battle, it is now Kasumi's turn to battle Paul, but is Paul prepared to face off against Kasumi's Pokemon whom have trained really hard or will Paul be a wall she can't climb over?
